Excitement, Promotions, and Possible Drama

The tranquility of May that led to the busy times of June and July are leading into a whopper of an astrological month for August. Two eclipses occur in August and there is Mercury retrograde as well.  Get ready for the fireworks; it is going to be a wild ride!

Lunar Eclipse for Scorpio August Horoscope

On August 7th there is a Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius- a crazy way to start off your month!  This is going to deal with your family and home life. Here is the deal, Mars and Jupiter will wreak a little havoc with your sun sign, so be warned that this could be a tumultuous time for your family life.

Eclipses can shine the light, quite brightly at times, on aspects of our lives at different times.  It is like a magnifying glass that often blows things out of proportion.  Whatever is there, good or bad is going to be blown up. So, know what the eclipse is and don’t let it do damage. If it shines the light on a family issue, allow it, but also do so in a kind, thoughtful way.  Don’t let little issues become drama. If it shines the light on something wonderful and positive, don’t be afraid to fully embrace it and take advantage of the eclipse. In review, this lunar eclipse will be dealing with your family life, so be ready.

There will also be a Full Moon on August 7th .  Native American tribes called the August Moon the “Sturgeon Moon” because they knew that the fishermen catching sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain had their largest catches during this moon.  The Full Moon is when the moon’s energy is at its peak.  The day of the full moon brings vitality, good health and friendships.  This moon is also called the Blueberry Moon, for the blueberry harvest, but in color, it appears reddish when reflecting through a molten haze during the early hours of the day.

Mercury Retrograde for Scorpio August Horoscope

Mercury moves Retrograde between August 12th and September 5th. When a retrograde like this occurs, it is a very prudent thing to do to plan for it.  Make all of your important decisions before and after this window of time. You will start to see chaos in your life, and little problems that come up in your daily life can easily get blown way out of proportion.

However, you can use the Retrograde to your advantage.  It is a sort of forced time out from the comfort and often laziness of our daily life and thought processes.  We are sort of forced to reconsider our belief systems, our relationships, and the direction that our lives are headed.

You might find that during this Retrograde that you are caught in a fight or disagreement with someone close to you, only to look back and are unable to trace the root of the problem and what started the issue in the first place. Take time to meditate each day, and have alone time of at least 15 minutes to fully reboot.
