One of the saddest things in life is man’s propensity to use force to get his way – to use the battering ram instead of the key to open doors. This tendency is the cause of most of our world conflict and most of man’s inner conflicts, which cause most of his physical ills. ~ Eric Butterworth ~
Conflict can be resolved in many different ways. We prefer a peaceful solution. If you are faced with a conflict with another person, try to be still and say nothing. Let the storm run its course. Often times the angry person wants to provoke you. Arguing is ineffective because it raises barriers. A handshake, hug, or kind word gives closure to the resolution of conflicts. If it applies, forgiveness is the highest form of closure. As Gandhi once said, “We must be the change we wish to see in others.”
