Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. ~ Kahlil Gibran ~
Understanding people are the ones who practice what they preach. To understand someone or something, you must practice what you are saying, thinking and believing about that person or thing. You can only understand the trustworthiness of a person if you, yourself, practice trustworthiness. In order to understand people you don’t just need to put yourself in their shoes but you need to feel the emotions they experience.
If you really listen to someone else, you give a tremendous gift to them and you get better at reading other people’s signals and you just feel better. The best way to gain trust and have others open up to you is to share some of your feelings with them.
You can learn so much from other human beings. Be open to the experience of learning.
