The three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are: first, hard work; second, stick-to-itiveness; third, common sense. ~ Thomas Edison
Thomas Edison was a great man who knew how important it is to make your own way without relying on anyone else. Do your best and things will work out. Common sense would tell us how important it is for all of us who are able, to do our best, to make our own way in life. What a wonderful world it would be if his words were followed by us.
Thomas Alva Edison was born on February 11th, 1847 in Milan, Ohio, the seventh and last child in his family. His father was Samuel Ogden Edison Jr. and his mother was Nancy Matthews Elliot. Although born in Ohio, Thomas Edison grew up in Port Huron, Michigan, having moved there in 1854. Because his teachers believed that he had learning issues due to his inquisitive mind and failure to concentrate in class, he only attended public school for 12 weeks. From then on he was schooled at home. Thomas had a habit of taking things apart to see how they worked, and coupled with his appetite for knowledge, he became one of the greatest inventors of his time.
