Nothing else matters much – not wealth, nor learning, nor even health – without this gift: the spiritual capacity to keep zest in living. This is the creed of creeds, the final deposit and distillation of all important faiths: that you should be able to believe in life. ~ Harry Emerson Fosdick ~
Zest in your life makes life more fun. It makes you want to get up and get out and do things. If you want to increase your happiness; add some zest to your life. Think about the way that zestfulness looks, and moves, and thinks and speaks. Watch kids on a playground if you need a clue. Then act as if you’re brimming with enthusiasm with the faith that life is an adventure.
Try every day to find something to laugh about. If you don’t have anything in your day that’s been particularly funny, think about a memory that never fails to make you laugh. It’s hard to be negative when you’re laughing and smiling.
