The Eta Aquariid Meteor Shower is visible as Mercury enters Taurus. The Eta Aquariid is a meteor shower associated with Halley’s Comet. The meteors we currently see are members of the Eta Aquariid shower that separated from Halley’s Comet hundreds of years ago. The current orbit of Halley’s Comet does not pass close enough to the Earth to be a source of meteoric activity. The Eta Aquariids get their name because their radiant appears to lie in the constellation Aquarius, near one of the constellation’s brightest stars, Eta Aquarii. About 30 shooting stars an hour should be seen in clear skies for the yearly Eta Aquarid meteor shower.
Tonight’s Moon in Taurus is strong and independent, and cannot be ignored. People do not exist to make us happy. Others cannot be the source of our happiness or sorrow. We are each individuals and must find our own way to our goals. If we want to find happiness, try kindness. Acts of kindness change the scope of mental well being. When someone gives, out of the goodness of their heart, something as simple as a helping hand, the brain reacts in a positive way. Dopamine rushes through the body and causes a “high” or elation. Start smiling. The best thing about smiling and laughing is that it’s contagious. Watch others follow. You will be happy if you are content with who you are. Believe in yourself. Today, make happiness a priority.
