The hurrying demands of life have made us lose touch with our natural state of being. The timing is perfect for turning things around. We need to bring back our feelings of being at ease and at peace. The relationship between happiness and peace hardly needs explanation. We all understand that if we don’t have peace, we don’t have happiness. We can only live in the present. But if something negative from the past – something someone said, something someone did – is still on your mind then accept and let that feeling and thought in instead of trying to push it away.
When you accept that it is then it starts to lose power. And while the facts may still be there in your head the negative feelings become a lot less powerful. Drama only brings you down and you will never feel true peace. Not everybody wants the best for others. They enjoy seeing other people struggle and suffer. Therefore, if drama surrounds you in the form of people who love stirring trouble, walk away. Don’t look back. Transform your desire to get, into a desire to give. Instead of asking how you can get more money, ask yourself how you can give more value. Share your knowledge with as many people as possible. Giving opens the heart, while wanting closes it. “The life of inner peace, being harmonious and without stress, is the easiest type of existence.” —Norman Vincent Peale.
