There are the relationships with parents, children, siblings, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, classmates, and those people we work with. No one will be everything that we might want them to be. Sometimes people disappoint us. Healthy relationships mean accepting people as they are and not trying to change them.
Communication is essential in healthy relationships. Take the time to really be there for each other. Listen to what they have to say. Ask them questions in a friendly way and show your interest in what they are saying. Share information as well as yourself. Healthy relationships allow change and growth. Healthy relationships are mutual. Take care of yourself as well as each other. Always be dependable. If you take on a responsibility, complete it as best you can.
