To get along in this world, we need to get along with each other. When we allow bitterness within us, disappointment grows into resentment and negativity. We can disagree without being disagreeable. It is not who is right, but what is right. When we work together, we can get more done than we could have apart.
Keep a cheerful attitude. We all change as we grow up and our outlook on life changes. Just because you believe one way all your life, doesn’t mean your belief is right. Try to live peacefully with all, for there is where you will find your joy. Never let an opportunity pass to say a kind and encouraging thing to someone. Pick out someone that is down or discouraged and encourage him.
“Certainly there are times in all of our lives when bad things happen, or things don’t turn out as we had hoped. But that’s when we we must make a decision that we’re going to be happy in spite of our circumstances.”
“You must make a decision that you are going to move on. It wont happen automatically. You will have to rise up and say, ‘I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.”
Quit worrying about how everything is going to turn out. Live one day at a time; better yet, make the most of this moment. It’s good to have a big – picture outlook, to set goals, to establish budgets and make plans, but if you’re always living in the future, you’re never really enjoying the present in the way God wants you to.”
“Keep in mind, people who are hurting often hurt other people as a result of their own pain. If somebody is rude and inconsiderate, you can almost be certain that they have some unresolved issues inside. They have some major problems, anger, resentment, or some heartache they are trying to cope with or overcome. The last thing they need is for you to make matters worse by responding angrily.”
“The bible says no man can take your joy. That means no person can make you live with a negative attitude. No circumstance, no adversity can force you to live in despair. As Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of wheelchair-bound President Franklin D. Roosevelt, often said, ‘No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” ~ Joel Osteen ~
