If you find yourself down in the dumps a bit too often, it is time to start monitoring your thoughts. Recognize negative self-talk, which is really what is causing you to be in a slump. Start out by spending a few days becoming aware of every negative thought you have. Then, after you have recognized what is happening, try squashing those negative thoughts like a bug, and then replace them with a positive thought. Eliminate thinking, “this is too hard” and instead think, “I can do it!” You will be amazed at how easily you can turn your thinking around.
Your mind can only think one thought at a time. If you take out the negative and put in the exact opposite, you are taking the power away from that negative. Don’t feed the beast. This is usually exactly the opposite of what most people do. Most people, when they have something that they don’t want to have happen to them, they think about it, they worry about it, they focus on it. Eventually they manifest it and it becomes their reality. Don’t let this happen to you. Squash your negative thoughts before they have a chance to grow.
