MOTHER TERESA ON KINDNESS

Astrology and Spirituality » MOTHER TERESA ON KINDNESS

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway.  If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies; succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway.  If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway.  You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; it was never between you and them anyway.    ~ Mother Teresa ~

Mother Teresa was a nun from present-day Macedonia who dedicated herself to helping others in need. For this work, she was known as a humanitarian. When she was only a child in elementary school she felt called by her spiritual beliefs in the Catholic Church to help others, and went on to dedicate her life to this calling when she became a nun in India. Mother Teresa taught in an all girls school in Darjeeling for 15 years. At the age of 36 she felt she wanted to contribute to a bigger purpose and embarked on a journey to help others in the streets of India. She dedicated herself to feeding the poorest of the poor, those who were not loved or sick.
