Motivation is not a constant thing that is always there for you. It comes and goes, and comes and goes again, like the tide. But realize that while it may go away, it doesn’t do so permanently. It will come back. Just stick it out and wait for that motivation to come back.  Just don’t wait too long.

Start by surrounding yourself with people who are positive and are themselves motivated to accomplish their goals. Negative thoughts make you perform worse. Working out can release endorphines that make you feel good and can help you foster your motivation. Listen to music. It encourages us to work hard.

Concentrate each day on what you need to do to stay motivated. Trying something new will stimulate your thinking and you may be delighted to meet new and different people, and it may give you a much-needed change of scenery. If you don’t feel motivated or enthusiastic, then just pretend that you like it. Within a few minutes, you actually will start to feel motivated or enthusiastic for real.

There will always be people ahead of you. Compare yourself with yourself. Not with others.

Whatever you do, don’t give up waiting for Spirit to motivate you.  Even if you aren’t feeling any motivation today, or this week, don’t give up.  That motivation will come back. Stay with the thought that Spirit is there waiting to work with you, try peaceful meditation, and you’ll get there.
