The word “angel” actually comes from the Greek word aggelos, which means “messenger.”
We are sent from heaven, messengers and protectors. We do not know what form they will take so we must be very careful how we treat one another. Strangers or not. We do not know what God is doing or what He is trying to accomplish. If we are praying and asking God for an answer or for help, God sends a messenger and then we reject or deny them because they have not come in the way that we wanted or expected them to. This is important to know because we miss out on help that we needed or what God had maybe wanted to bless us with that day.
Hebrews 13:2 “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”
Always be aware as you may not realize that you have been sent a messenger. So be friendly to those who you do not know because some have encountered messengers of God without realizing it or may actually be that messenger. Make sure to be careful how you treat strangers. They just may be someone that God has sent your way to help you. You wouldn’t want to miss your message from Heaven. But be aware, there are good angels and bad angels everywhere.
