August 25 Astrology Reading

Tonight brings Mars at Aphelion.  Its distance from the Sun varies over 20% – meaning that it receives 31% less heat and light from the Sun at Aphelion, as compared to Perihelion. Mars is the planet of desire, action, and energy. It represents the survival instinct of humanity.  Mars both repels and attracts, so you will need to focus when working with its energy. Metaphysically this planet symbolizes our potency, our ability to motivate ourselves to grow as spiritual beings, and our courage to fight for a higher purpose – something beyond our own self-satisfaction. Mars is associated with the inner warrior of each one of us.  It rules our sense of anger and wrath.

Today, keep a balance between your needs and the needs of others.  We all have needs that are emotional and physical, but we have to be careful that we don’t meet other’s needs while ignoring our own.  It’s important to have the confidence to be ourselves, and still possess the self-awareness to know who we are and what we want.  Good communication is at the heart of happy relationships of all kinds. It’s about understanding others’ needs and having our needs heard.  Wanting everyone to be happy is not a bad thing, but we will never be able to please everyone. We should always try to be kind and considerate to others while still being true to whom we are. Happiness is inside of all of us, the challenge is to find it. If we can reach a clearer understanding of the needs driving our own and other people’s behavior, we have a much better chance of being able to have richer, deeper and more positive relationships.  A good relationship is not hard to find, but it does start with us… by being kind.

If you were born on August 25th, you are confident, realistic, charming and attractive. You are capable of using your charm to attract those you admire. Both men and women born on this day know how to employ their best features to win a mate, whether it be beauty, brains or personality.  Be always aware of the consequences of your actions, not only pertaining to your health, but to the well-being of your family as well.  Your longing for love may find a creative outlet in service to others.

Daily thought for August 25th: Many a friendship – long, loyal, and self-sacrificing – rested at first upon no thicker a foundation than a kind word.
