Ego is not Self, it just pretends to be. Without ego, there’s still someone who likes chocolates or avoids cooked carrots, who cusses up a storm or speaks very gently, still someone who represents a unique snowflake of God’s power operating through one individuated form. ~ Bo Lozoff (It’s a Meaningful Life: It Just Takes Practice) ~
While your ego does a necessary job of helping you function in the world, it is your Self that creates a more authentic, soulful way to exist. The ego is difficult to define because the ego isn’t one specific thing. It is actually made up of many different beliefs that a person acquires over their life. The ego is the false-self’s field of consciousness, just as the soul is the true-Self’s primary field of consciousness, which is the core of our being. The Self is the spiritual element; the mind, heart and body are the human elements; and the field of pure awareness (soul) unites them all into a Human Being.
Movement and change are the ways of the Universe. We never want or expect misfortune to come our way. It is much more pleasant to have success, health, good fortune and a fun and interesting life all the time. Life doesn’t happen that way. Each negative event in our life carries with it opportunities, no matter how horrible it seems to be at the time.
When misfortune strikes, focus on solutions. Difficulties are temporary and things will work out in one way or another as nothing in life is permanent. Every situation offers a learning opportunity and an outlet to become better in the long run. The difference between those who crumble under the weight of the world and those who persevere is an enduring hope, faith and resilience to make the most out of the worst of situations.
There is value in any situation.. It takes a serious shift in focus to begin looking for opportunity within tragedy. It takes self-confidence to know we can weather the storm, self-discipline to make the needed change, and wisdom to find value and learn from the experience.
Misfortune forces us to re-assess what is important to us and what is not. It lets us see what changes need to be made. It allows us to see and feel the richness of simple everyday things. Learning from our misfortunes allows us to live a deeper, richer, more full and happy life.

Everyone dreams. From the time we are babies until the day we die, our minds constantly produce dreams. They are believed to be the mind’s way to maintain sanity. From early morning until late at night, our mind registers data delivered by our senses. The subconscious retrieves and processes this data when we sleep. Your subconscious mind examines this data and works to clarify it. Many times, problems are solved, and solutions are given. This allows you to wake refreshed and clearheaded. Our brains tend to be way more active when we sleep and dream, than when we are awake.
We dream of many things. Dreaming of butterflies could have a distinctive meaning. A transformation could be happening in your life. It could indicate that you feel tied down and that you have a need to be free. You might be wishing to be less serious about life and needing to let your inner child out to play. If your butterflies are vibrantly colored, you are feeling that you are headed to a path of prosperity and success.
Butterflies are also a symbol of spirituality, which could mean that you are on a spiritual journey of transformation. The Archangel Gabriel is the archangel of dreams.

I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use ~ Galileo Galilei ~
The physical senses can’t discern spiritual things. This isn’t speaking only of understanding spiritual truths with our minds; this also applies to seeing spiritual realities with our eyes or feeling spiritual things with our emotions. Of course there are exceptions where God opened physical eyes to enable people to see angels and even heaven, but normally the only way to access the spirit realm is through our spirits by faith.
Sometimes, common sense gets in the way of our faith. Close your eyes from the physical, and open them in the spiritual. It’s time that we walk by faith, and not by sight. Our prayer “Lord, increase my faith, daily, help me rid of my carnal mind that says it’s impossible, and help me remember, with you everything is possible.”
It’s possible to mend our world only by finding the courage to mend ourselves. ~ Dr. Sonya Friedman ~
If for no other reason than for yourself, forgive to release yourself from the negative experiences of the past. Take time to meditate, and give thanks for the wisdom and knowledge gained from your suffering and pain.
“Forgiveness is not about forgetting. It is about letting go of another person’s throat……Forgiveness does not create a relationship. Unless people speak the truth about what they have done and change their mind and behavior, a relationship of trust is not possible. When you forgive someone you certainly release them from judgment, but without true change, no real relationship can be established………Forgiveness in no way requires that you trust the one you forgive. But should they finally confess and repent, you will discover a miracle in your own heart that allows you to reach out and begin to build between you a bridge of reconciliation………Forgiveness does not excuse anything………You may have to declare your forgiveness a hundred times the first day and the second day, but the third day will be less and each day after, until one day you will realize that you have forgiven completely. And then one day you will pray for his wholeness……” ~ Wm. Paul Young, The Shack ~
“The willingness to forgive is a sign of spiritual and emotional maturity. It is one of the great virtues to which we all should aspire. Imagine a world filled with individuals willing both to apologize and to accept an apology. Is there any problem that could not be solved among people who possessed the humility and largeness of spirit and soul to do either — or both — when needed?” ~ Gordon B. Hinckley, Standing for Something: 10 Neglected Virtues That Will Heal Our Hearts and Homes ~
“I have learned, that the person I have to ask for forgiveness from the most is: myself. You must love yourself. You have to forgive yourself, everyday, whenever you remember a shortcoming, a flaw, you have to tell yourself “That’s just fine”. You have to forgive yourself so much, until you don’t even see those things anymore. Because that’s what love is like.” ~ C. JoyBell C. ~
If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude. ~ Maya Angelou ~
Start by pretending to be happy. Smile, and smile a lot! Happiness is something you can fake until you feel more positive. While making yourself smile should start to make you feel better, it’s even better if you have something to smile about. Whenever you feel the need for an attitude adjustment, it’s always a good idea to step away and breathe. Even if it’s just 5-10 deep breaths, it will make a big different in how you feel.
If you need to have an attitude change, do it as it is healthy for you and everyone around you. You are the only one with the power to change your life. Decide to live a positive life. You can’t be thankful and stressed at the same time. So choose only positive thoughts. Don’t dwell on the negative. A good attitude will bring happiness and joy into your life. Those with a good attitude will have more friends and a better social life. Smile, create a good attitude, and enjoy life.
“Any fact facing us is not as important as our attitude toward it, for that determines our success or failure. The way you thing about a fact may defeat you before you ever do anything about it. You are overcome by the fact because you think you are.” ~ Norman Vincent Peale ~
According to this law [the law of Dharma], you have a unique talent and a unique way of expressing it. There is something that you can do better than anyone else in the whole world – and for every unique talent and unique expression of that talent, there are also unique needs. When these needs are matched with the creative expression of your talent, that is the spark that creates affluence. Expressing your talents to fulfill needs creates unlimited wealth and abundance. ~ Deepak Chopra
The seventh spiritual law of success is the Law of Dharma, which states that every sentient being has a purpose in life. We all have unique abilities and our very own way of expressing them.
There are needs in this world for which our specific talents are ideally suited, and when the world’s needs are matched with the creative expression of our talents, our purpose – our dharma – is realized. The practice of Yoga provides a direct mechanism to release energy blockages in our body.
Life is like a rainbow. You need both the sun and the rain to make its colors appear. Don’t miss all the beautiful colors of the rainbow because you are too busy looking for the pot of gold. The only way to see a rainbow is to look through the rain. Are you one of the people who walk in the rain or are you one that just gets wet?
Anyone who thinks sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain. God did not promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
If I could catch a rainbow, I would do it just for you. And share with you its beauty, on the days you’re feeling blue. If I could build a mountain you could call your very own, a place to find serenity, a place to be alone. If I could take your troubles, I would toss them in the sea. But all those things I’m finding are impossible for me. I cannot build a mountain, or catch a rainbow fair. But let me be what I know best, a friend who will always be there.

The angels stand between us and God, but they are translucent, even transparent, and they beckon us to penetrate their luminosity. ~ Peter Wilson
But are we to pray to the angels? God has given us the unseen angels, who are “ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation” (Hebrews 1:14). But we are not to worship them or pray to them. When the Apostle John fell down to worship the angel who had been sent to tell him about the future, the angel rebuked him and said, “Do not do it! … Worship God!” (Revelation 22:9).
In the Bible, God tells us how the angels are delivering messages, accompanying the lonely, granting protection, and even fighting His battles. In many angelic appearances told of in our Bible, angels who were sent to deliver messages began their words saying, “Do not be afraid,” or “Do not fear.” Most of the time, however, God’s angels operate undercover and don’t draw attention to themselves as they carry out the assignment given them by God. There are cases where these heavenly beings evidence themselves and strike terror in the hearts of God’s enemies.
I’ve Learned: That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
Feelings of bitterness can affect the way a person is with friends and family. These feelings surface where deep hurt has been caused. It causes you to put up personal boundaries to prevent you from getting hurt again, as you are hurting inside.
Bitterness starts out small. An offense burrows its way into our hearts. We replay it in our minds, creating deep ruts that will be hard to build back up. We retell our hurts to any available listener, including each sordid detail. We enlist support, pushing us further into our resentment.
Bitterness is also a way to hide from a fear of life change or of failing. If something bad happened that you can be bitter about, you can use it as an excuse to not try other things.
“Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. But anger is like fire. It burns it all clean.” ― Maya Angelou
You will not get past your anger and bitterness if you keep wallowing in it and making excuses for your bad behavior. Look around you and count your blessings. Make thankfulness and gratefulness a part of your everyday life. If you do this, your anger and bitterness will recede and eventually disappear as you become happier and more content with life.
Don’t give away your power by stewing in bitterness. The best revenge is to do well.

I am sowing seeds of joy, peace and love. The angels guide my steps.
St. Thomas Aquinas says that human beings need guardian angels to guide them to choose what’s right because sin sometimes weakens people’s ability to make good moral decisions: “By free will man can avoid evil to a certain degree, but not in any sufficient degree; for as much as he is weak in affection towards good on account of the manifold passions of the soul.
Likewise universal natural knowledge of the law, which by nature belongs to man, to a certain degree directs man to good, but not in a sufficient degree; because in the application of the universal principles of law to particular actions man happens to be deficient in many ways.
Angels do not want us to pray to them as we pray to the God we worship, but we can’t expect guidance from them unless we ask for it. You can call out to any Angel for assistance and one will come. It’s through communication and contact that you may discover what your Angels are better at. An Angel that may “specialize” in something for me, won’t necessarily be the Angel that would work best for you. It’s through communication and contact with your Angels that you find the one that works best for you in any given situation.

Oh my soul, find peace in the stillness. In the dark silhouette of tree on sky, mountain on the fire in the clouds, find the calm you are choking for. Listen now, slow the beat and listen, all things will find their way to you, all things will settle and the lacks will flood over once more. Have no fear, for you have passed through the darkness and carry the stains of color and residue of light from before it surrounded you.
Sweet Spirit: Sometimes I am tempted to force my life into a particular order or pattern. And then I wonder why I feel worn out, at the same time pushing constantly to make the pieces of me fit a particular picture. Today, I relax into Your indwelling presence. I release my need to make things happen and accept what is.
I know that You are at work in and through me now. I know that all things are working together for the greatest good. Thank You for peace which floods my mind and soul. From this place of peace, I bless the world. And so it is. Amen.
Don’t approach a goat from the front, a horse from the back, or a fool from any side. Every fool can find a greater fool to admire them. It is a wise man who lives with money in the bank, it is a fool who dies that way. It is said that only a fool learns from his own mistakes, a wise man from the mistakes of others.
It is quite true that there is a fool born every minute. It’s also quite true they don’t die that fast. Only a fool knows everything. A wise man knows how little he knows. Success makes a fool seem wise. The best way to show a fool that he is wrong is to let him have his way. The wise man says it cannot be done, but the fool goes ahead and does it, anyway. A fool and his money are soon parted. A great fortune in the hands of a fool is a great misfortune.

If things are not going your way, you must learn to be patient. It’s important to see things and situations in a positive light to make your life less stressful. Patience is a virtue because it requires self-control. It requires you to have the insight to think about other people and their happiness. Patience helps remind you that you are not always in control and you can’t always have control, so have faith and replace anxiousness with prayer.
Prayer for Patience:
Teach me, my Lord, to be sweet and gentle in all the events of my life, in disappointments, in the thoughtlessness of others, in the insincerity of those I trusted, in the unfaithfulness of those on whom I relied. Let me forget myself so that I may enjoy the happiness of others. Let me always hide my little pains and heartaches so that I may be the only one to suffer from them. Teach me to profit by the suffering that comes across my path. Let me so use it that it may mellow me, not harden or embitter me; that it may make me patient, not irritable; that it may make me broad in my forgiveness, not narrow or proud or overbearing. May no one be less good for having come within my influence; no one less pure, less true, less kind, less noble, for having been a fellow traveler with me on our journey towards eternal life. As I meet with one cross after another, let me whisper a word of love to You. May my life be lived in the supernatural, full of power for good, and strong in its purpose of sanctity. Amen.
When it comes to family, patience is necessary. It is a key part to the foundation of a happy childhood. All relationships need time and patience. When we are patient, we are a better person. We give ourselves time to choose how to respond to a situation, rather than getting emotionally out of control.
Patience is a Positive
If you have the tendency to rush around and try to hurry things up, want things done immediately and can’t wait for things to take their natural course, STOP. Take several deep breaths before you act or make a move. For example, if you’re in a long lineup at the grocery store or in heavy traffic, make the decision to pause and not get worked up. Do some isometrics, listen to the radio, or just enjoy the view. Getting impatient won’t make things move along any faster, so why get worked up for nothing?
If you are trying to bring more patience into your life, realize that none of us can control everything. Things happen. Things are going to happen that change our plans, don’t be surprised by them, actually expect them to occur, and allow extra time for changes that might occur.
Patience Quotes
One moment of patience may ward off great disaster. One moment of impatience may ruin a whole life. ~ Chinese Proverb ~
Patience: A minor form of despair disguised as a virtue. ~Ambrose Bierce ~
You can learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance. ~Franklin P. Jones ~
Genius is nothing but a great aptitude for patience. ~George-Louis de Buffon ~
Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson ~
An ounce of patience is worth a pound of brains. ~Dutch Proverb ~
If the shoe doesn’t fit, must we change the foot? ~ Gloria Steinem ~
You can ask people for advice on what to do and what they did in similar situations like yours. You can also ask for more practical help. You don´t have to solve every problem on your own and sometimes it feels better to have someone by your side, even if it is just for emotional support. You don´t know what will actually work before you try it. What may seem like a good solution in theory doesn’t always work in reality. So brain-storm and come up with at least a few solutions. If the first didn’t work, try the next one.
Yes, we know these are silly answers to a silly question. But sometimes you just have to get people thinking.
We trust in plumed procession; For such the angels go; Rank after Rank, with even feet; And uniforms of snow. ~ Emily Dickinson ~
We do not really know what angels look like. We do know of a few visual descriptions mentioned in the Bible. Those that covered the throne in heaven were mighty Seraphim angels. They had six wings that hovered over the throne of God. Two of the Seraphim’s wings covered their faces because God is so holy that even the Seraphim angels could not look upon God (Isaiah 6:2).
Another set of wings covered their feet for they were in the midst of holy ground where God abided and Moses (Exodus 3:5) and Joshua (Joshua 5:15) had to remove their shoes while in the presence of God. Angels do have some human features like feet, voices, and faces (Isaiah 6:1-2).

Home Brewing your Beer — It’s not only tastier and cheaper than any commercial beer, it’s also healthy for you. No artificial ingredients. Sadly, major domestic breweries add nearly 60 chemicals to their beers, some of them inorganic. These include heading agents, stabilizers, emulsifiers, clarifiers, coloring agents, and the list goes on. Home brewers have 100% natural, just malt, hops, yeast, water and corn sugar for priming, home brewed beer. It tastes better and is better for you.
Once you have sampled your own beer, you will never go back to drinking imports, let alone your favorite domestic brews. Your biggest problem will be keeping your friends from drinking all of it, it’s Premium Quality!
Home brewed beer contains no fat and no bad cholesterol. Studies have shown beer to increase HDL, the good cholesterol and decreases the occurrence of blood clots. The New England Journal of Medicine reported in their November ’99 issue that moderate beer drinkers would decrease the chances of their suffering a stroke by a full 20%. Drinking home brewed beer helps promote blood vessel dilation, sleep and eases urination in elderly people.
Beer is a proven stress reliever and sleep inducer. Nothing like relaxing with a glass of delicious beer you brewed yourself. In fact, the very act of making beer is relaxing. Making your own beer is a fun hobby, good for you, and inexpensive. We have researched the supplies needed to get started on home brewing and have chosen the best in all-inclusive kits to get you on your way. There are so many different “flavors”, why not try a couple. Once you have started, your friends will be at your doorstep for a taste or two. Good work is Good! Great work is extremely rewarding. Do great work, have fun and lend a hand along the way. Do it with fun and style, and you are not a prisoner of your labor, but rather a master of your craft. If you help others along your journey in life, either by teaching them or just by setting them up for their own success, then both life and work acquire greater meaning.
We will not live forever, it is important that we leave a little something behind for the good of each other. Do it for the love of each other, and don’t expect to be rewarded for your efforts. You will be rewarded tenfold but not at that moment. The Universe has a way of taking care of those that do good deeds. Be kind to yourself and to each other for we are all we’ve got.
Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you. ~~ Mother Teresa ~
Remember, as you start this day, and duty crowds your mind, that kindness comes so quickly back, to those who first are kind. Giving works as surely as reflections in a mirror. If hate you send, hate you’ll get back, but loving brings love nearer. Let that thought and this one, direct you through each day. The only things we ever keep, are the things we give away!
“Live today. Not yesterday. Not tomorrow. Just today. Inhabit your moments. Don’t rent them out to tomorrow. Do you know what you’re doing when you spend a moment wondering how things are going to turn out with Perry?
You’re cheating yourself out of today. Today is calling to you, trying to get your attention, but you’re stuck on tomorrow, and today trickles away like water down a drain. You wake up the next morning and that today you wasted is gone forever. It’s now yesterday. Some of those moments may have had wonderful things in store for you , but now you’ll never know.” ~ Jerry Spinelli, Love, Stargirl ~
Acts of kindness are good for both the giver and the receiver. Pass along smiles. Smile at friends, co-workers, family members, grocery workers, and anyone you interact with during the day. Lord, in this holy season of prayer and song and laughter, we praise you for the great wonders you have sent us: for shining star and angel’s song, for infant’s cry in lowly manger. We praise you for the Word made flesh in a little Child. We behold his glory, and are bathed in its radiance.
Be with us as we sing the ironies of Christmas, the incomprehensible comprehended, the poetry made hard fact, the helpless Babe who cracks the world asunder. We kneel before you shepherds, innkeepers, wisemen. Help us to rise bigger than we are. Amen.
Before Breakfast Prayer for Christmas Season
The Word was made flesh, alleluia, alleluia!
And dwelt among us, alleluia, alleluia!
Let the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad, before the face of the Lord, for He comes. Bless us, O Lord, and these Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Christmas Anticipation Prayer
((Beginning on St. Andrew the Apostle’s feast day, November 30th, the following prayer is traditionally prayed 15 times a day until Christmas. This is a very meditative prayer that helps us increase our awareness of the real focus of Christmas and helps us prepare ourselves spiritually for His coming.)
Hail and blessed be the hour and moment
in which the Son of God was born
of the most pure Virgin Mary,
at midnight,
in Bethlehem,
in the piercing cold.
In that hour vouchsafe, I beseech Thee, O my God,
to hear my prayer and grant my desires,
[State your intention(s) here…]
through the merits of Our Saviour Jesus Christ,
and of His blessed Mother.
Amen.
Opening Prayer for Christmas Eve Service
Rev. Dr. Sean B. Murray
Gracious, loving and merciful God, on this Christmas Eve, as the light of your Word penetrates our hearts, as we are reminded of the gift of life and faith, as the glories of the heavenly hosts are echoed in our church, we open ourselves up to your Spirit and give you thanks. We are grateful, Lord Jesus, that your story has become our story, and we celebrate your birth.
Continue, we pray, to instill in us a profound sense of your abiding presence, and help us to take to heart the wonder of your love, that we may walk in your ways and delight in your will.
Help us, Lord God, to be the faithful, gracious, loving, giving and forgiving people you would have us be.
Lord Jesus,
Please forgive me for being so grumpy as I trudge through the never-ending tasks set before me this holiday season…
My to-do list seems to keep growing with shopping, church services, and family gatherings—
and I’m running short of time!
Restore the joy of Christmas to my heart . . .
and help me to relax each day and make time for
YOU–
my one true Source of Joy.
Before opening presents
Lord and Giver of all good things, the magi travelled for miles to bring the Christ child the first Christmas presents. So may we, too, remember with thankful hearts the love that comes with each present we open. We also thank you for the love you have for each of us, and we thank you for the many gifts that you give us, especially the gift of live itself. Amen
A Christmas Prayer for those who have suffered the recent death of a loved one
God of compassion, there is such a hole in my heart! Today should be a day of joy, but I feel only emptiness and loss. While the world celebrates around me, I remember Christmas celebrations of the past and I long to have my loved one with me. I bring my sorrows to you, Lord, like some odd gift of the magi and dump them at your feet. In my blind tears I wonder if anyone can possibly understand the depth of my sadness.
I know, you can. You sent your son to be with us in our deepest sorrows and I know that even though I might not feel it now, you are here with me, grieving with me, caring for me in my sadness. Dearest lord, help me to turn to the one I miss so much today and speak. Help me heal the loss of our parting and help me not to regret the things I didn’t say. Sorrow tears at my heart, but today I ask that my loss soften my heart and make me more compassionate with everyone I meet, so that my loss may become a gift to others.
Christmas Dinner Grace
In the peace of this season our spirits are joyful:
With the beasts and angels,
the shepherds and stars,
with Mary and Joseph we sing God’s praise.
By your coming may the hungry be filled with good things,
and may our table and home be blessed.
Bless us O Lord, and these Thy gifts,
which we are about to receive from Thy bounty
through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Candle Wreath Prayer
God of love, Father of all,
the darkness that covered the earth
has given way to the bright dawn of your Word made flesh.
Make us a people of this light.
Make us faithful to your Word
that we may bring your life to the waiting world.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Christmas Gift Prayer
Thank you, God for the wonderful gift of your son, Jesus, as we celebrate His birthday. Help us to remember Him as we give and receive gifts, taking time to pray for each person and for those who have nothing. Help us, Lord, to fill this Christmas with you and with your love, peace and joy.
Amen
A Prayer for Christmas Morning
The day of joy returns, Father in Heaven, and crowns another year with peace and good will.
Help us rightly to remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and the worship of the wise men.
Close the doors of hate and open the doors of love all over the world?
Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting.
Deliver us from evil, by the blessing that Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clean hearts.
May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children,
And the Christmas evening bring us to our bed with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus’ sake.
Amen
Christmas Prayer
Let Your goodness Lord appear to us, that we
made in your image, conform ourselves to it.
In our own strength
we cannot imitate Your majesty, power, and wonder
nor is it fitting for us to try.
But Your mercy reaches from the heavens
through the clouds to the earth below.
You have come to us as a small child,
but you have brought us the greatest of all gifts,
the gift of eternal love
Caress us with Your tiny hands,
embrace us with Your tiny arms
and pierce our hearts with Your soft, sweet cries.
St. Bernard of Clairvaux (1090-1153)
Christmas Tree Blessing
Holy Creator of Trees, Bless with your abundant grace this our Christmas tree as a symbol of joy. May its evergreen branches be a sign of your never-fading promises. May its colorful lights and ornaments call us to decorate with love our home and our world. May the gifts that surround this tree be symbols of the gifts that we have received from the Tree of Christ’s Cross. Holy Christmas tree within our home, may Joy and Peace come and nest in your branches and in our hearts. Amen.
Nativity Prayer of St. Augustine
Let the just rejoice, for their justifier is born. Let the sick and infirm rejoice, For their saviour is born. Let the captives rejoice, For their Redeemer is born. Let slaves rejoice, for their Master is born. Let free men rejoice, For their Liberator is born. Let All Christians rejoice, For Jesus Christ is born. Amen.
Since ancient times Jasmine has been thought of as the queen of flowers. It’s oil was used for anointing kings and wealthy people of society. It has a cooling and soothing effect. The Jasmine flower releases its fragrance at night after the sun has set and especially when the moon is waxing towards fullness. This is why it is associated with soothing peaceful night-time moods.
In early days, a young couple exchanged Jasmine necklaces, much like a bride and groom exchange wedding rings today. In India, Jasmine is called the moonshine in the garden. Ancient Asians wrote that Jasmine penetrated the deepest layers of the soul and opened emotions. The relaxing Jasmine tea has been a popular beverage for thousands of years.
The oil from the sweet smelling Jasmine flower has been known to be one of the most expensive scents in the world, costing upwards of $1,500 a pound. Today it is a billion dollar plus industry in France, growing Jasmine and distilling its perfume. Jasmine is used in love sachets and incenses. It is used to attract spiritual love. A drop of the essential oil in almond oil, massaged into the skin is said to overcome frigidity. Carrying, burning or wearing the flowers attracts wealth and money. If burned in the bedroom, Jasmine will bring prophetic dreams.
Jasmine has been thought to attract love and money while enhancing dreams. It is used in aromatherapy to treat depression and nerve conditions. Jasmine is used as a massage oil for cramps and insomnia. Jasmine is a very popular incense and essential oil as it has been known to promote feelings of optimism. Jasmine incense has been known to restore confidence and relieves and soothes headaches. As we believe in the benefits of Jasmine, as a tea, an essential oil, and fragrant incense, we have chosen our favorite products and would like to share them with you.

Some people use royal jelly as medicine. Don’t confuse royal jelly with bee pollen or bee venom.
Royal jelly is used for asthma, hay fever, liver disease, pancreatitis, sleep troubles (insomnia), premenstrual syndrome (PMS), stomach ulcers, kidney disease, bone fractures, menopausal symptoms, skin disorders, and high cholesterol. It is also used as a general health tonic, for fighting the effects of aging, and for boosting the immune system.
Some people apply royal jelly directly to the skin as a tonic or to the scalp to encourage hair growth. (WebMD)

In spite of all her physical disabilities, Helen Keller did say that “Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.” How many people have almost made nothing out of their lives because they refused to dare themselves into new adventures? People like Helen Keller have provided role models for many who have chosen to take life head on! Are you considering a new adventure right now? Well, dare yourself to take it! If you don’t, it could turn into nothing. ~Don Essig, 148 Motivational Minutes ~
It’s time to find new adventures in life. If you live for today, you might not have to dream about tomorrow. Life is pretty good if we just experience the joy. Happiness is a choice. Take time for yourself, your family, your friends, do whatever you need to do to feel good about yourself.
Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, try to be aware of that moment. Spend as much time as you can fully engaged in your own moment to moment life experience. As the saying goes, be here now. Embrace adventure. Do an uplifting and enjoyable activity that’s just plain fun.
Take a walk in nature. Make it a family (or friends) affair and have a picnic. Take along a backpack or carry-all bag with things like a journal, magnifying glass, binoculars, to enjoy the sights. Collect rocks to take home and paint daisies on the rocks you collected. Make it an adventure for you to just disconnect from daily responsibilities and get away from the noise, stimulation and demands of the world.
God does not look upon trouble as we do. We must trust in God, for God wants us to stop worrying and not be afraid. Where we see stress he sees opportunities. Where we see crisis, He sees growth and betterment. Life is a series of problem-solving opportunities. God’s purpose in times of crisis and trouble is to teach us lessons and to direct us to the right path. This is the time when we have an important learning opportunity. For most of us, we only learn through pain and failure. If we could just realize that problems, correctly handled, will become character builders.
We become stronger of character when God enlightens us on how to handle problems, as these learning opportunities are necessary. Often it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways. Sometimes, the best solution is not the one we are praying for. Put the problem in God’s hands and accept what he has in store for you. Someday you will look back and see why things had to turn out the way they did! We need to all take a moment to be thankful for the things we have, and try not to dwell on those things we cannot control. We only need to trust that God will take care of everything according to His plan.
