Love the earth and sun and the animals. Despise riches, give alms to everyone that asks. Stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God. Have patience and indulgence toward the people, and your very flesh shall be a great poem. ~ Walt Whitman ~
You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us, and the world will live as one. ~ John Lennon’s Imagine ~
No one in life that has their dream life has achieved it without taking massive action. It’s true! Ask anyone and they can tell you what they had to do. Too many people wish for a better life, but are so afraid to not only take action, but to take that first step. They fear failure. They hope for the easy way out. They hope it’s painless. It won’t be and it will never be.

Peace in ourselves, peace in the world. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh ~
We all long for peace. Inner peace leads to external peace. By creating peace in your inner world, in your mind, you bring it into your external world, and into other people’s lives. Accept what cannot be changed. This saves a lot of time, energy and worries. Every day, we face numerous inconveniences, irritations and situations that are beyond our control. Do the best you can, do your part to share and support peace, and maybe one day we will all be living in a peaceful world.
Inner peace means being happy with whom we are, where we have been, and where we are going. Having this type of peace within us, allows us to achieve confidence, control, and happiness. One way of experiencing inner peace is by distancing ourselves from all the negativity we encounter every day. We should never respond to an angry person with a strong comeback, even if they deserve it. Don’t accept their anger.
If we have inner peace and offer it to somebody else, we will see how peace expands from one to another, and gradually to the world at large. If you have peace, I have peace, he has peace, and she has peace, then automatically universal peace will prevail.
Sweet Spirit: How may I serve my sisters and brothers today? How can I help our world? I am listening for Your guidance in the quiet of meditation. Work through me as You will. Now is the time and I am willing. And so it is. Amen.
We must all contribute in some way to serve. No matter how small the act, any contribution you make can possibly impact or even change someone else’s life. Never let a day go by where you don’t at least contribute 5 minutes to your cause.
“This is what you shall do; Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul, and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body.” ~ Walt Whitman
One day, when you least expect it, you will finally get it. In the midst of all your fears and insanity, you will stop dead in your tracks and just scream.. “Enough”! Enough fighting and crying and struggling to hold on. Now you can look at the world from a new prospective. You realize that there aren’t always fairy tale endings, or beginnings, and that any guarantee of happy ever after must begin with you.
Now you can begin to make your way through the reality of today rather than holding out for the promise of tomorrow. Much of who you are and the way you manage through life is a result of all the conditioning you have received over the course of your lifetime. You can learn from this conditioning, sort the good from the bad, and become your own person. You have finally arrived!
“You’ll learn, as you get older, that rules are made to be broken. Be bold enough to live life on your terms, and never, ever apologize for it. Go against the grain, refuse to conform, take the road less traveled instead of the well-beaten path. Laugh in the face of adversity, and leap before you look. Dance as though EVERYBODY is watching. March to the beat of your own drummer. And stubbornly refuse to fit in.” ― Mandy Hale, The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass

The Moon has long had an aura of mystery and magic about it and is surrounded by legends and lore. The Full Moon is believed to affect the ebbs and flows of the tide. The moon is connected to our wisdom and intuition. It is often celebrated with the burning of a moon candle, usually made of pure beeswax. The moon candle represents the different phases of the moon and is traditionally kept covered during the dark phase of a dark moon.
The Moon is the closest heavenly body to the earth. We can see it in the sky for three weeks out of four, and people often use its light to guide them during this time. The fourth week is the week of the dark moon. The first time you see a crescent moon for the month, take all your spare coins out of your pocket or purse, and put them in another location. This will ensure good luck for the following month.

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly, and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love – for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment is it perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you from misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. ~ Max Ehrmann (Desiderata: A Poem for a Way of Life)
The way of peace is a soul journey. If you can live from the level of your soul, you are doing something very special. The important thing is how much consciousness you add to the whole of human existence, for that is how eternity expresses itself, like a lamp shining through the window of eternity. ~ Deepak Chopra ~
God tells us, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened” (Matthew 7:7-8). The Holy Spirit is a part of God that comforts you, directs you, and leads you along your spiritual journey. You can’t learn about God without learning about yourself. The way to peace and spirituality is a Soul Journey.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~
The unfortunate part about living in the past or the future is that you’re giving up your personal power. Don’t surrender your power. If there are changes you’d like to make in life, the best time to make them is right now in the present. Things rarely happen as we plan them to, life is in the now. If you want to change your life, the only time to do it is in the present. Make the promise to yourself to accept life always as it is. Remember, your mind is the only thing keeping you from living in the present.
The attitude you portray to the world is the first impression you give. Do you want people to think of you as someone who loves their life or as someone that life happens to? A good attitude can help you along the way to accomplishing everything you set out to do. It can help you fight an illness, or just help make you a happier person. A bad attitude can stand in your way of everything. It will alienate those trying to help you and can affect every aspect of your life.
Did you know that if you think happy thoughts, that you will feel happy? If we try for a positive outlook towards life, then we will find something positive in it and helps with solving our problems. Start being around those people who have the ability to cheer us up. When we are facing problems, they motivate us and provide us inspiration. If we think positive, we will be able to complete anything and everything assigned to us.
A positive attitude attracts positive things. Good things happen to good people. A positive attitude changes our thoughts and the actions that we take on a daily basis. A positive attitude brings on self confidence.
Our attitude as a first impression can determine what the world thinks of us and what we think of the world. Don’t let setbacks take from you the best the world has to offer. Your attitude can take you far in this world, either good or bad. Choose to be the best you can be, choose positive!
On a personal note, if you really want to know the true meaning of feeling positive, adopt a puppy, an adult dog, or any animal that you prefer. They need us and we need them. Follow us at www.secretserendipity.com as we take our journey to wellness.
I’ve Learned: That sometimes the people that you expect to kick you when you’re down, will be the ones to help you get back up. True friends are always there. No matter the trial you have to face, or worry you must go through, remember you are never alone, for your friends are right there with you.
The beautiful, special thing about friendship, is that friends are friends because they want to be, that they choose each other, is “a double agent, because I can choose to get in, and I can choose to get out.
Dale Carnegie, author of How to Win Friends and Influence People, said, “You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get people interested in you.”
Love and compassion has no distance. It goes through the breeze of air. Whether we may be near or far, our true friends will always be there.

Music to me can be loud, like thunder in my head. Music to me can be soft, that draws me to my bed. Music to me is life, music to me is strong, music to me makes me feel like I can do no wrong.
Music makes you full of sorrow or it makes you full of joy. Music makes a better tomorrow, or makes you awfully coy. Music makes you fearless, music makes you tearless, music can make you a star. Music to me is when you see who you really are. ~~ Aleigh Miller. ~
Music can lift the spirits. If we engage with the music, feeling it rather than letting it be in the background, it can give us an extra emotional boost and make us feel better. Music can lift your depression. If you want to be happy, you’ve gotta dance to the music like there’s nobody watching. Love like you’ve never been hurt. Sing like there’s nobody listening, and live like it’s heaven on earth.

Inner Peace is the peace of mind we have when in the state of mental and spiritual peace, with the understanding of keeping strong in the face of stress. Being at peace is considered to be healthy. Inner Peace is important to overcome and prevent stress and anxiety. When our mind is quiet and calm, we prevent anxieties, worries, stress and fears from taking over and we awaken our inner strength and confidence.
Inner Peace eliminates negative and restless thinking. It keeps us from being swayed by events, hardships and difficulties, and to maintain peace of mind, clear judgement and common sense in every situation. We can receive inner peace through affirmations, visualization, yoga and meditations.
We at www.secretserendipity.com seek Inner Peace through meditations and positive affirmations.
I can resist anything but temptation. ~~ Oscar Wilde ~
Temptation is everywhere. Its grip and seduction can sometimes seem totally overwhelming. Some of us manage to resist temptations while others succumb to them, time after time. Temptations offer you a choice and only you can make the right decision for you. There is no simple rule to avoid temptations. Temptations are not an option that we might or might not have in life, we all will be tempted in one way or another, many times. Temptations can actually help you grow and become a better person. If you have a clear vision of your life, then resisting many of these temptations will be easier for you.
Resisting a temptation is a victory. Think of yourself as a winner in life every time you pass on a temptation. When we do pass on a temptation, we will be that much stronger when the next one comes along.
Life is just a mirror, and what you see out there, you must first see inside you.
To change one’s life: Start immediately. Do it flamboyantly. No exceptions. ~ William James
Let us go forward in this day, being all that we know we can be, or that we want to be. Start the day with a smile and a laugh and pass it along. If you want respect and love from others, you must give it first. Always respect the person you are talking to, and use positivity when you are speaking. Don’t worry about something you cannot change. If you want something, then go for it. Take the chance. If you can make a difference in someone’s life, then do it. Be the friend you want others to be to you. Move past negative thoughts and negative people. See the happiness in little things. Love yourself, your family and your friends, for they are what is important.

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, “I used everything you gave me.” ~ Erma Bombeck ~
Be the best you can be. Your Past is important to learn from. Your Future is important to work towards. At the end of the day, though, the only thing that exists outside of your head is the Present. So think about your Past and Future, but only dwell on the Present. And while you are in the Present, always do your best. By doing your best, you are going to master the art of transformation.
Live your life to its fullest potential. No matter what you do, try to project as much confidence as you can. You can’t expect to get anywhere if you present yourself as someone who has no self-confidence. There’s really no excuse for not going all in and trying your best in pretty much every endeavor, then at least you can say you actually did your best. When you don’t do everything you possibly can do, you don’t learn as much. Trying to do your best is part of the learning process. If we fail at something, but learn from the experience and go forward in a new direction to attempt again, it is not a failure. You are allowed to be both a masterpiece and a work in progress, simultaneously.

Happiness always sneaks in a door you did not think was open. To love oneself is the beginning of your journey to happiness. If you are searching for happiness, it doesn’t mean that everything is perfect, it means that you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.
A healthy relationship (could be a friend, family member, mate, etc.) brings out the best in you, inspires you to live fully, and encourages you to live true to yourself. Your happiness and peace don’t need to be sacrificed in order to maintain a healthy friendship, and indeed the opposite seems to be true. We really don’t want that person to be exactly like us, for that would be boring. This means you have to be open and tolerant to other’s opinions and beliefs. Agreeing to disaagree is not only interesting, but healthy, so embrace it.
A good and supportive friend is a remedy for the burdens we bear in this lifetime. Keep active, pursue what brings you joy, and if you find that you’re obligated to do something you don’t enjoy, find a way to make it more meaningful. A meaningful life is a happy life.
When looking for a significant other, or maybe just a good friend, find the person who calls you beautiful/handsome instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on them, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or stay awake just to watch you sleep. The one who turns to their friends and says, “that’s the one for me”.
Don’t worry, be happy. Follow us at www.secretserendipity.com.
Some days you’re the bug, some days you’re the windshield. Everybody wishes for a good life. A good life is different for each one of us. There are different levels and meanings to what a good life is. Whatever your definition of it, there is one thing that we all have in common, we want it stress free. Nobody likes to struggle through life. Once we know that life is difficult, once we truly understand and accept that it won’t be easy, then life is no longer as difficult as we think it will be. Understand that difficulties are a part of life and everyone has them.
Accepting that life is hard comes with accepting that we have the responsibility to make it better. Not only do we have the responsibility to make it better, we have the ability and the power to make it better. The only person we have any control over is “me”. We cannot change other people, once we become open to the idea that we are responsible for our life and that we have choices, we will find that we are no longer stuck just because life is hard.
We never get anything in life without some degree of effort. We need to put in that effort to appreciate what we have earned. Follow us at www.secretserendipity.com and we will take our journey to wellness together.
It is hard to let old beliefs go. They are familiar. We are comfortable with them and have spent years building systems and developing habits that depend on them. Like a man who has worn eyeglasses so long that he forgets he has them on, we forget that the world looks to us the way it does because we have become used to seeing it that way through a particular set of lenses. Today, however, we need new lenses. And we need to throw the old ones away. ~ Kenich Ohmae ~
When trumpets were mellow And every gal only had one fellow No need to remember when ‘Cause everything old is new again…
Dancin’ at church, Long Island jazzy parties Waiter bring us some more Baccardi We’ll order now what they ordered then ‘Cause everything old is new again…
Get out your white suit, your tap shoes and tails Let’s go backwards when forward fails And movie stars you thought were alone then Now are framed beside your bed…
Don’t throw the pa-ast away You might need it some rainy day Dreams can come true again When everything old is new again…
Get out your white suit, your tap shoes and tails Put it on backwards when forward fails Better leave Greta Garbo alone Be a movie star on your own…
And don’t throw the past away You might need it some other rainy day Dreams can come true again When everything old is new again When everything old i-is new-ew a-again…
I might fa-all in love wi-ith you again.

When we start taking things for granted because we are so near to them, we fail to see the precious role they play in the big picture of our daily lives. Start looking at your world as if with new eyes and notice everything.
“God is nothing else but this marvelous Universe, which follows its own scientific laws. Spirituality is nothing else but understanding ourselves and the laws of Universe through the tools of science and technology.” ~ Sage Patanjali, The Yoga Sutras. ~
Technology allows us to expand our knowledge of spiritual matters and helps us to understand the power and greatness of nature through the vast amount of information available on the World Wide Web. Spirituality is understanding the laws of the Universe through science and technology. Our spiritual existence is an aliveness of mind and body as one. It gives us the sense of belonging to the Universe as a whole. This experience is called a mystical experience because it is an encounter filled with wonder and mystery.
Today’s spirituality is taken from many different religions. It is a free-thinking way of believing. It is a connection with others, with oneself, with God, the Universe and Nature. We are free to be whom we want to be without following a pre-designed set of guidelines. Spirituality draws each one together as equals, in love and in peace. It is a union between self and the Universe, which brings kindness and calm. It helps us to overcome difficult times.
Spiritual technology brings people together who would not have contact otherwise, to join each other in fellowship and learn about the spiritual beliefs of others. Technology has the potential for wider communication with others. It gives us exposure to many different spiritual cultures and people. This technology helps us access information on many different faiths, and makes it easier to form our own opinions, and lead to a deeper understanding of others’ beliefs. Technology helps us improve our spiritual consciousness.

So many people walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they’re busy doing things they think are important. This is because they’re chasing the wrong things. The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning. ~ Mitch Albom (Tuesdays With Morrie: An Old Man, A Young Man, and Life’s Greatest Lesson)
Helping others is a good thing to do. It makes us happier and connects us to others, creating stronger communities and helping to build a happier society for everyone. When we see someone do something kind or thoughtful, or we are on the receiving end of kindness, it inspires us to be kinder ourselves. We can do good for others by volunteering. Volunteering enhances our overall sense of purpose and identity. People who volunteer are more likely to be happier than those that don’t.
Among teenagers, even at-risk children who volunteer reap big benefits, according to research findings studied by Jane Allyn Piliavin, a retired University of Wisconsin sociologist. She cites a positive effect on grades, self-concept, and attitudes toward education. Volunteering also led to reduced drug use and huge declines in dropout rates and teen pregnancies.
Serve people by showing them how beautiful life can be when we serve others. Aristotle wrote that finding happiness and fulfillment is achieved by loving rather than in being loved. Helping others goes hand in hand with meaningfulness. Helping others creates the sense of meaning in our lives.
As stated in James 2:14-17, “What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
Your Aura is formed from the energies around your body. This energy field not only goes around you, but throughout and into your body. Your aura interacts with other people’s auras and this is how we are affected by others. Auras are not only beautiful, but helpful in understanding what someone is thinking and feeling.
Auras vibrate to different colors, sounds, and lights. The color spectrum varies with your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual state. The aura reflects much about us. It can read our mental and physical health. You must be willing to meditate to see auras.
Aura colors represent different things, and to be able to see auras enables a person to manipulate energy fields for better health and stability. When a person maintains their bio-energy system in a flowing, open and balanced way, they will experience health and good emotional, mental and spiritual well being.

The seed of freedom must be planted in the innermost being of man, but like the Prodigal Son, man must make the great discovery for himself. ~ The Science of Mind, Page 25 ~
Freedom comes not from what is gained, but from what is let go. Real freedom is freedom from fear, where you’re truly free from guilt, worry, bitterness, and death. You’re free to quit pretending because you’re free to be yourself. Can we do whatever we want to do? No. We cannot do whatever makes us happy even if that is the message from our culture. Freedom is doing what we were created to do and doing what is right. We do have the freedom to decide what we do with information that we are given, how we interpret our life, and how we make new decisions.
When you understand the true power of the freedom you have inside of you, you will realize that there are no limits in life. Understand that, and an incredible power becomes available to you. When we dig out the thoughts that cloud our minds, our essence that has always been there will be realized. We have to be aware of the workings of our minds. They tend to cling to what we like, and avoid what we don’t. But we do know that what happens in the outside world, we always have the ability to be free within, unconditionally.
Freedom is in every moment, not in the future, not in the past, but right now. True freedom enables us to accept both good and bad without identifying with either. Freedom is an inner awareness, a knowing that nothing can touch the truth of who we are; it is the “I am” that is within everyone.
The world was made to be beautiful, but sometimes we get caught up in everyday actions, completely forgetting about this, completely forgetting that what is truly important are the simple, basic things in life, honest, pure emotions surrounded by the majestic beauty of nature. We need to concentrate on the freeness and peacefulness of nature and not on the driven material aspects of life. We need to smell the clear air after the rainfall and appreciate the good in things.
Each of us must be responsible and do our part in order to help preserve a beautiful world. The waterfalls, the oceans, the mountains, the large gray boulders, the large green farms, the fluffy pink clouds, the sunrise and sunset, ladybugs, rainbows, dew, hummingbirds, butterflies, dandelions.
We need to remember that we are here for a short time and that every day should count for something and that every day we should be thankful for all the natural beauty. The world is a wonderful place and we are so lucky to be a part of it. ~ Susan Schutz

Success means we go to sleep at night knowing that our talents and abilities were used in a way that served others. ~ Marianne Williamson ~
“We’re all programmed to have the ability to be empathetic,” says Dr. Barry Wiser, a clinical psychologist practicing in southwestern Nova Scotia. “So we feel good when we do something for someone else, and our experiences will continue to shape that.”
A good measure of success is how well we are doing in living our best life. It is never quitting and always giving 100% to the task at hand. It is living fully our true purpose on earth while experiencing joy. Success is playing on our strengths and working on our weaknesses while we are living the life we are meant to live. It is feeling that we have done our part to make the world a better place. Success is knowing we have accomplished inner fulfillment. It is being flexible and open to change. If you believe in yourself, others around you will believe in you, too.
“He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much;
Who has enjoyed the trust of pure women, the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children;
Who has filled his niche and accomplished his task;
Who has never lacked appreciation of Earth’s beauty or failed to express it;
Who has left the world better than he found it,
Whether an improved poppy, a perfect poem, or a rescued soul;
Who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had;
Whose life was an inspiration;
Whose memory a benediction.”
~ Bessie Anderson Stanley, More Heart Throbs Volume Two in Prose and Verse ~
