Michael A. Singer was studying for his doctorate in Economics in 1971, when he had a spiritual awakening, and left to concentrate on mediation and yoga. He founded the Temple of the Universe in 1975, a yoga and mediation center. He is the author of the New York Times #1 bestseller, The Untethered Soul.
“If you truly love someone, your love sees past their humanness”
“Only you can take inner freedom away from yourself, or give it to yourself. Nobody else can.”
“There is nothing more important to true growth than realizing that you are not the voice of the mind – you are the one who hears it.”
“If you want to be happy, you have to let go of the part of you that wants to create melodrama. This is the part that thinks there’s a reason not to be happy. You have to transcend the personal, and as you do, you will naturally awaken to the higher aspects of your being. In the end, enjoying life’s experiences is the only rational thing to do. You’re sitting on a planet spinning around in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Go ahead, take a look at reality. You’re floating in empty space in a universe that goes on forever. If you have to be here, at least be happy and enjoy the experience. You’re going to die anyway. Things are going to happen anyway. Why shouldn’t you be happy? You gain nothing by being bothered by life’s events. It doesn’t change the world; you just suffer. There’s always going to be something that can bother you, if you let it.”

Preparing for Meditation can be just as important as the actual meditation. Getting your meditation space prepared is necessary for a good meditation. Meditations usually are 20 to 30 minutes in length, can be longer or shorter, depending on the individual. The right atmosphere — candles, incense, music, location — can determine whether or not your quiet time of contemplation is successful or whether it is filled with distractions.
Make yourself comfortable, both with your clothing and your location. You must be comfortable enough to take deep breaths to lull you into a meditation state. Find a quiet space where you will not be disturbed. Turn off, when possible, all means of distraction , this includes cell phones, television, radio, etc. If indoors, turn down the lights. Harsh lighting makes it difficult to meditate. Light one or two candles. Light an incense stick. Play a tape made especially for meditation. Hold a crystal in your right hand. This will help you center for your meditation.
Let go of your cares. For 20 minutes, forget about your problems that would distract you from the peace and calm that meditation brings. Breath slowly and deeply. Your body should start to relax with every breath you take. Concentrate of the light of the candles, while breathing in the aroma of the incense. Slip into a meditative state, allowing your mind to clear naturally. Let the sounds on the tape, whether it is a voice or the sounds of nature, consume your being. This is part of the on-going process of Self Enlightenment. Each time you attempt a meditation will be more successful.

Peace is the feeling that you are safe. We all need peace, especially the children of the world. Children require security to feel whole. We need to protect the children from harm as well as we can, and we need to do a better job of it. This is one of the best things we can do for peace in the world. People with self-respect, respect others and do not allow others to abuse them.
“That was when it was all made painfully clear to me. When you are a child, there is joy. There is laughter. And most of all, there is trust. Trust in your fellows. When you are an adult…then comes suspicion, hatred, and fear. If children ran the world, it would be a place of eternal bliss and cheer. Adults run the world; and there is war, and enmity, and destruction unending. Adults who take charge of things muck them up, and then produce a new generation of children and say, “The children are the hope of the future.” And they are right. Children are the hope of the future. But adults are the damnation of the present, and children become adults as surely as adults become worm food. Adults are the death of hope.” ~ Peter David, Tigerheart ~
Walk in peace. Be undisturbed and unperturbed, for all is in God’s plan. Never doubt this. Bring God into your life, and you will see miracles. ~ White Eagle (The Quiet Mind) ~
God will lead you to experience deep peace, joy, and abundant life if we allow Him to guide. In prayer ask God to guide you and to come in your life to help you grow and prosper.
When life held troubled times, and had me down on my knees, there’s always been someone there to come along and comfort me. A kind word from a stranger, to lend a helping hand. A phone call from a friend, just to say, I understand. And ain’t it kind of funny, that at the dark end of the road, someone lights the way, with just a single ray of hope.
Oh, I believe there are angels among us, sent down to us from somewhere up above. They come to you and me in our darkest hour, to show us how to live, to teach us how to give, to guide us with a light of love. They wear so many faces, show up in the strangest places, to guide us with their mercy in our time of need.

Life serves up plenty of opposition to maintaining an inner life. Holding onto a vision calls for powerful resolve. Still, if we are dedicated, the vitality of the soul somehow manages to endure through many dangers. This survival sometimes involves seemingly miraculous assistance. ~ Jonathan Young ~
The vitality of the soul is what gives us our personality and it’s through our soul that we live out our relationship with God and our neighbor.
“Whatever you are physically…male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy–all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. All those other things, they are the glass that contains the lamp, but you are the light inside.” ~ Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Angel ~
Recognize the incredible power of words to bring about either good or evil. Positive words create and heal, while negative words harm and destroy. So throughout each day when you’re speaking or writing, choose to communicate positive words to others as much as possible. When you hear the words that other people communicate to you, carefully analyze them to determine whether or not they actually reflect what’s true – and if so, embrace them, but if not, reject them. Pay attention to your self-talk as well, and ask God to help you say positive words to yourself in your mind.
One is happy as a result of one’s own efforts. Once one knows the necessary ingredients of happiness, simple tastes, a certain degree of courage, self-denial to a point, love of work, and above all, a clear conscience. ~~ George Sand ~
If you have done your best for yourself, and others, your life will be filled with light and you will have a clear mind, or conscience. You will feel lighter and clear enough to share your experiences with others. Be the best person you can be now, today. If you are filled with guilt, remorse or regret over past mistakes, try to do better now, and leave your past in the past.
Free yourself NOW of these burdens and vow to be the best you can, while forgiving others who have not acted in their best way. Remember that every scenario we go through, there is someone nearby or in your future, who is going through something similar. It is no coincidence that you will come across people who are going through the same things that you are or that you have. You will have the opportunity to share your experiences and help them. We are all human.
You can free your mind by helping others to do the same, through your own personal experiences. Be open to others, treat them with love and respect, and you will be filled with grace and love.
You’ll encounter many obstacles along the road to living your dreams. Some obstacles may be real, some imagined, some may be tangible, and some may be intangible. Some of those obstacles will be created by others, and some will be self-imposed. However they manifest, you will always be given the choice as to whether you give them power. ~ Francine Ward (Esteemable Acts)~
When you understand that ideas often seem crazy at first, that failure is just a learning experience, and that nothing is impossible, you are on your way to becoming more confident and more creative. While traveling the road to living your dreams, follow your heart. Your heart knows things you have no idea were even possible. It is your guide, and it will take you where you need to be, if you listen to it.
Do you remember watching those Bob Ross Joy of Painting shows on your local PBS station, that would put you into a state of relaxation and calmness? Well, you are not alone, and there is now a name for it: ASMR or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, which is: a euphoric experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine, precipitating relaxation.
“Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) signifies the subjective experience of ‘low-grade euphoria’ characterized by ‘a combination of positive feelings, relaxation, and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin’.”
Videos, and whole Channels on YouTube and other services are dedicated to ASMR videos, that generally contain some of the following aspects:
Soft, soothing voices
Whispering very close to a microphone, or your ear
Even, measured speaking tones
Foreign accents
Mouth noises like lip smacking
Close personal attention, like haircuts, massages, or makeovers
Handiwork and expertise
Rustling sounds
White noise
What that means in the culture of the web and social media, are videos that involve a somber, or whispering voice engaging in a mundane or calming activity that leaves the user with a specific sensation that can even lead to sleep.
When you are down to nothing, God is up to something. Those who walk with God reach their destination. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.
It will be reflected what you need to see, not only what you want to see. Happiness lies ahead for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives.
One way to remind yourself of the positive things that life has to offer is to indulge yourself in whatever it is you love. Whether it’s a box of chocolates, a massage or a new video game, give yourself a break to relax. Remind yourself of your blessings.
Whether you feel blessed by your family, your friends or even that you just have food to eat each day remind yourself of these things, however small you may feel they may be. Say thank you. Most of us have a lot to feel grateful for that we simply take for granted. Thank those in your life that make it better and happier to get a positivity boost for yourself as well.

Here is our favorite list of Angel Thoughts written by some of our favorite authors. It is a collection of some interesting insights as to how we perceive Angels.
The reason angels can fly is because they take themselves lightly. – G.K. Chesterton
Love is how you earn your wings. – Karen Goldman
Angels have no philosophy but love. – Terri Guillemets
We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another. – Luciano de Crescenzo
Every man contemplates an angel in his future self. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free. – Michelangelo
A gathering of angels can enlighten the whole world. – Unknown
Make yourself familiar with the angels and behold them frequently in spirit; for without being seen, they are present with you. – St. Francis De Sales
God not only sends special angels into our lives, but sometimes He even sends them back again if we forget to take notes the first time! – Eileen Elias Freeman
The guardian angels of life sometimes fly so high as to be beyond our sight, but they are always looking down upon us. – Jean Paul Richter
Just because someone tells you that you can’t do something doesn’t mean you have to listen. Don’t fear the failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have.
It isn’t the problems along the way that make or break us, it’s how we learn to stand and face them that makes all the difference. One of the greatest joys in life comes from doing what others said that you can’t do. Our best decisions, the ones that we never regret, come from listening to ourselves, and doing what our heart tells us to do. Then totally appreciate the choices you make.

If you only have a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail. ~ Abraham Maslow ~
If we only have a hammer, we narrow our choices of what will help the hammer solve the problem. We tend to notice things that are similar, even if they’re not exactly the same. That is part of human nature. If you have a hammer, you start seeing nails. If you had a screw driver, you start looking for things to screw up. We group together that which is similar. If we had a bat, we would look for a ball, as they go together. This limits the solutions to our problem-solving skills, but it’s all we have to work with.
All that we are is the result of what we have thought. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.” ~ Siddhartha Gautama ~
If we continually respond to life with thoughts and emotions that are extremely unpleasant, we’ll experience greater suffering. If we respond with kindness, we’ll experience greater joy. Remembering all the beautiful aspects of life and all the reasons we are blessed can immediately shift our mood. We can move from unhappiness and failure, to one of optimism and reward.
Create a positive affirmation on your mind. One of the best positive thoughts is to tell yourself “I deserve to be happy.” Believing that this is a reality can give you a positive outlook on life.
When you start feeling anxious, direct yourself to happy thoughts. Create a positive image in your mind to boost positivity and avoid bad feelings.
Always believe that you can succeed. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt by believing that you will succeed in accomplishing your goals.
Understanding the limitations of human beings as well as understanding your own is the beginning of true wisdom. What a wonderful world this would be if there were as many wise people as there are clever people. Wisdom is knowledge, rightly applied. By others faults, the wise correct their own.
Confucius said: There are three methods to gaining wisdom. The first is reflection, which is the highest. The second is limitation, which is the easiest. The third is experience, which is the bitterest.
Knowing how to deal with the tangible world in a practical way, and having the ability to know what must be done and the skill to learn how to do it, is the base for our wisdom. With wisdom, we will know the right thing to say to the right person in the right place at the right time. Wisdom will harmonize our lives, and will establish the priorities we need to bring us back to right relationships with everyone around us. Wise people have learned what they know from real life experiences. We gain wisdom when we ask questions, explore, want to know how things work, and we learn valuable lessons from rough experiences.
Mothers, teach your children this. Teach your children that Wisdom is everywhere. In pieces. Some of the Wisdom is in the trees, some of the Wisdom is with the animals. Some of the Wisdom is with the planets and the stars and the moons and the sun. Some of the Wisdom flows with the waters. Some of the Wisdom was with our ancestors. Some of the Wisdom is in our minds. All of the Wisdom is from the Spirit of God. ~ Esther Davis-Thompson, MotherLove: Re-Inventing a Good and Blessed Future for Our Children, “Spiritual Nourishment,” 1999

I used to pray that God would give me something — strength, wisdom, patience, the solution to a problem. I was forever telling God what was wrong with my life and what God needed to do to fix it. Today, I talk things over with God to decide what I can do, not what God should do. This is the key to spiritual power, to finding God in so many wonderful places both ordinary and extraordinary. ~ Father Leo Booth (Meditations for Compulsive People) ~
God will lead us to the spiritual path towards enlightenment if we just listen. People believe life to be a race, grabbing and stuffing as much light into their core… so they don’t have to be afraid of the dark anymore. Unwilling to accept they are the light itself. Just trust in a higher, spiritual power and you will be led to a path of peace and prosperity. The path is the key to spiritual power.
The answers are actually quite simple… Its just being human, needing challenges, people make their own spiritual path by embracing the answers, as they are the challenge.
It’s our job to work in our soul’s best interest. ~ Terry Lynn Taylor and Mary Beth Crain, Angel Courage ~
Meditation is a way to balance the spirit as well as the soul, which has now been scientifically proven to decrease stress and improve physical health. Good health is a sound soul in a sound body. When your soul is fed with divine energy through meditation, and your body is fed with material energy through the process of digestion, you become in good health of body and soul.
The repetition of a mantra quiets the breath and as a result the mind, bringing the meditator into the field of “pure consciousness.” From a beginner’s perspective, using a mantra can help focus and sharpen a mind prone to wandering during meditation. Mantra meditation is similar to mindfulness meditation, with the addition of a repetition of a simple word or phrase.
What is a mantra?
It’s a word or phrase repeated over and over again during meditation.
Modern Mantras
“Love is the only miracle there is.” – Osho
“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Gandhi
“Every day in every way I’m getting better and better.” – Laura Silva
“I change my thoughts, I change my world.” – Norman Vincent Peale
Everyone dreams. Dreams are a way for our minds to cope with all the information and experiences that make up our lives. But what are our dreams trying to tell us!
Have you ever dreamed of unicorns? The appearance of a unicorn, the symbol of purity and truth, in a dream, represents a break from reality and the need to be less serious about life. It is telling you that it is time to let your inner child out to play.
Dreaming of unicorns also signifies good fortune and happy circumstances. Things will be going your way and it’s time to enjoy life.
Unicorns also suggests that deep within our subconscious, we know that we are in charge and that nothing can go wrong. You may feel very successful at that time and have noticed that other people are aware of your success and achievements. Dreaming of unicorns is the way our subconscious is telling us that we can smile and hold our head high for we have done well!

The golden moments in the stream of life rush past us and we see nothing but sand; the angels come to visit us, and we only know them when they are gone. ~George Elliot ~
Sometimes we have to be more aware of what is going on around us if we wish to know about the presence of angels. If we feel like we are in the presence of an angel, we probably are! We may feel like someone just walked past us, when no one is there, or we may get the impression someone is present in a room with us when it is empty.
There are times when we need Spiritual Help. It is then that we ask for the power of the Angels and recognize what Angels can do for us if we just ask. Help is always at hand. Sometimes, it is only when we encounter positive happenings that we can begin to understand the power and the actions of the Angels.
If you permit yourself to open your heart and your mind to transformation thinking, you can embrace the power of the Angels and allow them into your life to bridge the gap between dark and light, and right and wrong. The Angels are always ready to help you with your troubles. Nothing is too big or too small for them to handle.

It is every man’s obligation to put back into the world at least the equivalent of what he takes out of it. ~ Albert Einstein ~
Giving back is one of the easiest and most rewarding things you can do to better the world. Recycling, for example, is one of the easiest ways to go green and help the environment, both for our generation and generations to come. It helps conserve raw materials, reduces the amount of materials going to landfills, and lessens pollution. We should all be doing our part to make the world a great place to live.
We all have a skill or experience from which someone else can benefit. Volunteering can be a prime way to share these skills with others. No matter how tough you think your life is, there’s always someone who has to face challenges that are even tougher than yours. Doing something for the community you live in and returning the favor to those who have helped you are strong motivators for volunteering. Everyone, rich or poor, takes from society and volunteering is one way to show a sense of appreciation. The good feelings you experience when helping others may be just as important to your health as exercise and a healthy diet. When you volunteer, you realize just how much you are truly needed.
All that is required now is that you continue to till the soil of your soul. Just as you would not neglect seeds that you planted with the hope that they will bear vegetables and fruits and flowers, so you must attend to and nourish the garden of your becoming. ~ Jean Houston (A Passion for the Possible) ~
Whenever I feel the need to remember that I am a child of God, I call friends or acquaintances and ask how they are. This simple act reminds me that a word or deed — however inconsequential — sends the powerful message that God is all Love, and each time we share that Love with another person with a word or smile, we create a powerful force in the world that combats fear and loneliness.– Elizabeth Simons, Missouri ~
Happiness is living a simple life. The simplier you can make your life, the happier you are going to be. Have a meaning in your life. Make yourself goals in living your life that are in harmony with each other. If they conflict, you will end up being stressed and unhappy. Do the things you are good at. Money is not the solution to all problems, it is only barter.
Life without close, meaningful friendships is meaningless. Friendships beat money and power. Tell your friends what they mean to you and make their day, as well a yours. Always keep your word to your friends. Be loyal and they will be loyal to you. Be grateful of how fortunate you are. Accept yourself and your uniqueness and don’t compromise who you are. Ask for help when you need it, and help those in return. Always do your fair share. Happiness is close, you just need to do your part to make it happen.
Belief in astrology is common among people of the New Age. The belief is that the orientation of the planets at the time of one’s birth may influence a person’s future.
The term New Age actually comes from astrology. The zodiac, which originated in ancient Babylon, is a wheel of twelve signs, mirroring the constellations found on the path of the sun in the sky. Each sign represents both a period of the year and an age in history. The New Age movement teaches that we are moving into an age of enlightenment. In the Age of Enlightenment, we will experience a new birth and are initiated into a higher state of consciousness. New Age believers are now ready to develop new potentials within themselves. Within this New Age, a major spiritual, physical, psychological and cultural planet-wide transformation is now taking place.
The New Age movement embraces the healing power of crystals and gemstones. Crystals are thought to have healing energy and vibrate at a specific frequency. The theory is that holding crystals in your hand, they transmit energy, which can help calm, comfort and revitalize. Crystals can conduct electricity and our bodies contain a voltage, around 100 watts when we’re resting, and more when we’re active, thus boosting energy levels. New Agers believe in the healing techniques of Holistic practices to aid in the curing of disorders of the mind, body and spirit. New Agers believe that alternative medicine should be used in conjunction with conventional medicine. Conventional medicine has recognized that a patient’s state of mind can be crucial in determining the outcome of many diseases, and this perception has help to improve the doctor/patient relationship.
The New Age is a free flowing, decentralized spiritual movement. The New Agers share similar beliefs and practices. Karma is a strong belief that all that we do, the good and the bad, influences our life. There is the belief that all religions are universal and different paths to the same reality. There is no one correct path.
The New Age movement is a time of Enlightenment. We are all one, as everything in the universe is spiritually interconnected. We create our own reality within the laws of Cause and Effect. Every thing around us has spiritual meaning and there are no coincidences. We learn about ourselves through our relationships with other people.
New Age Astrology Enlightenment can be enhanced with the analysis of your monthly directive from the positioning of the planets in relationship to your sign.
The Magic, Rhonda Byrne is a book on spirituality, and is the third book in a series called “The Secret”. The Magic was released in 2013. Rhonda Byrne gained notoriety after appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show, showcasing her message of if you believe, it will provide for achievement of dreams.
Reviews of The Magic, By Rhonda Byrne:
“I have to say from the outset that I am a big fan of Rhonda Byrne’s work; but I’m a fan of it because her books and film have literally transformed my life. Although I was always a naturally happy and optimistic person, now I would describe myself as a joyful person (most of the time! We can’t and are not meant to always be joyful). The joy comes from knowing that absolutely nothing is impossible for me and my life, from knowing the power of goodness and love, from knowing that nothing just ‘happens’ to me, and from knowing that I can affect any change of circumstance that I wish for my own life. Also, The Secret led to my now strong spiritual faith – a knowing that this physical world with its miraculously precise laws is not an accident of evolution, and that there is much more to life, the world, and our place in it than our senses would have us believe.
So, it was no surprise to me that I loved The Magic. It was, though, a surprise to me that I loved it as MUCH as I did and do. In fact, I can confidently say that The Magic is my favorite of Rhonda Byrne’s books so far, and, I truly do think, her best book. I also felt that The Power, her most recent book before The Magic, was better than The Secret, so in a way I feel that Rhonda’s books are getting better and better.” From Amazon.com
I embarked on my journey of the Magic in the beginning of April.I was not sure what to think of this book but decided to give it a shot. The first lesson of the Magic was the practice, count your blessings. Everyday you make a list of ten blessings and write why you are grateful for them. You read them out load or in your head and say the magic words “thank you” three times after each one as you say them.
This process was hard for me to stick with 100% I will admit due to the fact I was not on a regular schedule and not a morning person. I did however manage to do this most days and found that this practice alone was a very powerful one for me.
On day two you add your nightly practice of the magic rock. This is where you find an object (a rock) and keep it in a place that you will see often. Every night before you go to sleep you grab your magic rock and think back over your day and say “thank you” for the best thing that happened to you during the day. I really liked this practice and I still practice this one daily. I found this one to be a very easy and enjoyable one to do. – From PureGoddesss University
I found this book a pure delight to read and it really made me feel so good. What surprised me the most is that it helped me put a lot of things into perspective, especially in regards to my past. Over the years I have trusted the wrong people, been let down by those who were meant to be there for me and taken advantage of time and time again. As a result (unconsciously) I’ve spent a lot of time regretting many decisions and blaming myself for making bad choices. For me this book enabled me to realise just how much I was ‘beating myself up about things’ and helped me to change that mind-set and ‘let go’ of the guilt, regret and anger. It helped me to identify the good that came from each experience, and see how they had shaped my character and personality. Some of my greatest strengths and characteristics are a result of some of my worst experiences. Seeing things in this way made me feel incredibly grateful and I no longer regret anything – I focus on the great that emerges from each experience. And believe me, whatever your experience; there will be something positive that comes from it. Whether it leads you to taking a particular career path or whether it empowers you to try new things – they are what you could call the silver linings. – From Noodlechip
Rhonda Byrne Quotes from The Magic:
“When you talk about any difficulties with money, a relationship, an illness, or even that the profits of your business are down, you are not talking about what you love. When you talk about a bad event in the news, or a person or situation that annoyed or frustrated you, you are not talking about what you love. Talking about the bad day you had, being late for an appointment, getting caught in traffic, or missing the bus are all talking about what you don’t love. There are many little things that happen each day; if you get caught up in talking about what you don’t love, every one of those little things brings more struggle and difficulty to your life. You have to talk about the good news of the day. Talk about the appointment that went well. Talk about how you love being on time. Talk about how good it is to be full of health. Talk about the profits you want your business to achieve. Talk about the situations and interactions you had in your day that went well. You have to talk about what you love, to bring what you love to you.”
― Rhonda Byrne, The Magic
“When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the morning light, for your life and strength. Give thanks for your food and the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies with yourself.”
― Rhonda Byrne, The Magic
