To people who live in Earth’s northern hemisphere, this astronomical event signals the arrival of spring, winter’s end, and the increasingly warm and brighter days that come with the pending arrival of summer.
Take some time to celebrate the new life that surrounds you in nature. Watch the sunrise and/or sunset, go for a walk in the park, take a bike ride, lay in the grass, or take a hike. As you do so, observe all the new life beginning around you.
It is the perfect time to bring acceptance to your life no matter the circumstances or the judgments over what is good and what is bad, and to instead honor the journey.

When Mercury is retrograde, we tend to notice more issues in the areas of communication, in the way we interact with others and in our surroundings and neighborhood. It may also show up in our travel, the way we get around and in our interaction with our siblings.

The March Equinox also brings a distinct shift in energy. In the northern hemisphere, the energy shifts from winter to spring or from an internal state to an external state. In the southern hemisphere, the energy moves from summer to autumn, or from an external state to an internal state. This energetic shift is best seen through examples in nature. In the northern hemisphere the buds begin to bloom, the daylight hours are longer, and many animals have the instinct to mate.

The best time to enjoy a Full Moon – Super Moon, or any other Full Moon, is just after moonrise, when the Moon is close to the horizon. Just before moonset is also a good time. When the Full Moon is low, it looks bigger and brighter than when it’s higher up in the sky. This is called the Moon Illusion, and actually makes more of a difference to what it looks like than the real boost you get from it being a bit closer to Earth.

An eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when one object in the sky moves into the shadow of another. A Lunar Eclipse is when the Moon moves into the shadow of Earth. Lunar eclipses are not totally dark. The Moon will reflect some sunlight that is refracted by the Earth’s atmosphere. The light that is refracted is reddish in color and can cause the Moon to appear a dark red-brown color.
An eclipse of the Moon (or Lunar Eclipse) can only occur at Full Moon, and only if the Moon passes through some portion of Earth’s shadow. That shadow is actually composed of two cone-shaped components, one nested inside the other. The outer or penumbral shadow is a zone where the Earth blocks part but not all of the Sun’s rays from reaching the Moon. In contrast, the inner or umbral shadow is a region where the Earth blocks all direct sunlight from reaching the Moon.
The pull of the sun and moon add to the tidal effects anytime they’re in line with the Earth. They subtract from the tidal pull when the sun and moon are at right angles to each other from Earth. Because a lunar eclipse only takes place during a full moon, tides are higher during this time.
From general lunacy and medical issues to whether crime rates varied, researchers have tackled a bevy of topics to find out if behavior can change during this phase of the moon. Always surrounded by an aura of mystery, the moon and its possible influence over human behavior has been the object of ancestral fascination and mythical speculation for centuries. While the moon can’t turn people into werewolves, some people do accuse it of causing a bad night’s sleep or creating physical and mental alterations.
Water in our bodies is affected by the movement of the Moon in much the same way as its gravitational pull controls the tides. As the fluid in our body shifts, it is the balance in our minds, which can trigger extreme emotions.
Lunar Eclipses bring new beginnings, new issues, new situations and new people into our lives. They bring issues in our lives to fulfillment. Our emotional levels are raised and drama is likely. We get a cosmic spiritual push to handle matters in certain areas of life. If we choose to get in touch with our feelings under a lunar eclipse and go with the feelings, we will see dramatic positive change.
