With each day on earth, there is an opportunity for kindness. Any time you interact with another, you have the choice to be kind, or to be something other than kind. When someone is unkind, there is often a lot of pain. Being unkind is usually just a reaction to self-anger. They are usually struggling with their own negative issues and just need an outlet. Of course it is not fair to be treated unkindly, but it is a great opportunity to show caring and compassion to someone who truly needs it.
There are many ways to be kind, but make the extra effort to be kind to those most in need. When you give of yourself, your heart, your time, your kindness, it is a scientifically proven fact that this sharing brings an immediate increase in your well being. Try connecting with your eyes, smile, and open your heart, you’ll spread warmth and love to another. And always be kind to yourself as well. There are many people in need of our kindness. So many of them are emotionally wounded and will not be kind back. Be kind anyway, you will feel good doing it and you will give them something to think about. You just might make their day!

Sweet Spirit, I surrender to Your presence within and affirm my oneness with all humanity. I see a world where all my brothers and sisters and I live in peace, harmony and freedom. We are all expressions of Your perfection as we shine our unique light into the world. Thank You for bringing into my consciousness the awareness of the part I play in Your Divine plan. Amen.
Let’s all do our part to make the World a better, healthier, more peaceful place for us all. Some suggestions to accomplish this are:
Plant green plants in window boxes on the street-side of your home to help combat car pollution.
Make your own compost. Vegetable peelings, leftovers, garden waste, tea bags all do it.
Make a fuss. Don’t let chatter about the ‘death of ideology’ mean you lose your passion. Take action on things you think are wrong or offensive. Complain. Participate. Get organised.
If you have any clothes you haven’t worn for a year, give them away: to friends or relatives or charity shops.
Take responsibility for your problems; don’t blame others. Laugh at yourself.
Listen to songs that make you feel at one with the world – John Lennon’s Imagine, say. Or ones that make you stand up for yourself, such as Respect, by Aretha Franklin.
Crouch down when you’re talking to someone in a wheelchair; offer your arm to a blind person at a street crossing; take a drink from the bar over to someone with mobility problems without making a fuss about it.
Simply smile and say hello to everyone you pass on the street.
What strange thing is memory, and hope, one looks backward, the other forward. One is of today, the other of tomorrow. Memory is history recorded in our brain. Memory is a painter, it paints pictures of the past and of the day. ~~ Grandma Moses ~
As children, remembering things seemed to be so easy and effortless. We never thought twice about the process of remembering and learning. As we grow older, we tend to sabotage our memory process with the simple act of not paying attention or concentrating on what is going on around us. We forget to pay attention to details of what we are experiencing. Attention is the needle that cuts the grooves in the record of memory cells.
Our memory can be influenced by many different factors. A smell can trigger a memory, as it associates a scent with a certain event. Our working memory is where we note information from the world around us. The art of visualization is important in developing memory. Some of the information we keep, some we discard. Good memories last longer than bad, helping to keep the human race happy and strong. If you limit your memory, you limit your life. Never forget all the good things you have experienced.
Let our memory always keep in our hearts, the loves and relationships that we knew and the blessing we shared with those we remember. Let our memory keep in our thoughts, what made these good people so precious to us. The power of our memory is our hope for tomorrow. Follow us at www.secretserendipity.com as we take our journey to wellness.
It’s not just that God said we should love one another. He also created the universe in such a way that, in time, we are sure to learn to do just that. If everything we do has a consequence, if everything we do comes back to us, then surely we will come to learn that it is ultimately in our own best interest to put out into the Universe only what we want to get back. ~ Marianne Williamson ~
The Law of Consequences is nothing more than “cause and effect.” It tells us how important it is to accept personal responsibility for your life. It’s easy to blame others for our problems, but that’s not how things work. When you blame others for bad things happening to you, you create your victim mentality. Start taking responsibility, you will feel better about yourself.
Things do not happen by coincidence. Every action has an opposite reaction. What you put out in the Universe will come back to you. This is known as the Law of Karma and is the ultimate law of the Universe. Everything is connected to everything else. Wishing that life situations will be magically transformed without any effort by you will not happen. Positive actions are needed if you want meaningful outcomes. If what we want is happiness, then we should be happy. When you live within the laws of the Universe, life will seem easy and effortless.
We love everything Marianne Williamson here at www.secretserendipity.com.
Through meditation and by giving full attention to one thing at a time, we can learn to direct attention where we choose. ~ Eknath Easwaran ~
There are many ways to calm your mind through meditation. One of these is to Journal before you meditate. If you struggle with excessive worry during meditation, this is a game changer. Do a “stream of consciousness” by free writing whatever is on your mind at the moment. No need to edit or sensor your words. Write until you feel completely vented. By writing, you’re detoxing repetitive thoughts from your mind so there’s less emotional charge when you meditate. This creates a clear mental space.
Bob Dylan: songwriter, singer, writer, and artist was awarded The 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature, for “having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.” Many know Dylan as a 60’s music legend, often associated with the rebellious nature of that generation. But for many that know the works of Dylan intimately, the perception of who he is encompasses a much broader personality that full of spirituality and faith.
Born Robert Allen Zimmerman in Duluth, Minnesota, and was raised in a tight knit Jewish community. In 1979, Dylan converted to Christianity, and that conversion was represented in the next few years of his professional life. Many rumors persisted over the years that he renounced his Christian faith, but in fact it was just a natural up and down relationship with his faith that many people go through.
Bob Dylan’s faith and spirituality are prevalent all through his career, manifesting in different ways and tones. Examples of spiritual themes in Dylan songs:
From “Dark Eyes”
Oh, the gentlemen are talking and the midnight moon is on the riverside
They’re drinking up and walking and it is time for me to slide
I live in another world where life and death are memorized
Where the earth is strung with lover’s pearls and all I see are dark eyes.
From “My Back Pages”
My existence led by confusion boats, mutiny from stern to bow
Ah, but I was so much older then, I’m younger than that now.
From “A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall”
I’ll walk to the depths of the deepest black forest
Where the people are a many and their hands are all empty
Where the pellets of poison are flooding their waters
Where the home in the valley meets the damp dirty prison
And the executioner’s face is always well hidden.
From “Desolation Row”
Praise be to Nero’s Neptune, the Titanic sails at dawn
Everybody’s shouting, “Which side are you on?”
And Ezra Pound and T.S. Eliot fighting in the captain’s tower
While calypso singers laugh at them and fishermen hold flowers
Between the windows of the sea where lovely mermaids flow
And nobody has to think too much about Desolation Row
Bob Dylan even produced profoundly Christian-themed songs over the period from 1979 to the early 80’s. An example is “When He Returns,” and it was written by Bob Dylan in 1979. The song is part of Dylan’s “Slow Coming Train” album, which features more explicitly Christian subject matter in its lyrics than most of our modern praise songs:
The iron hand, it ain’t no match for the iron rod
The strongest wall will crumble and fall to a mighty God
For all those who have eyes and all those who have ears
It is only He who can reduce me to tears
Don’t you cry and don’t you die and don’t you burn
For like a thief in the night, He’ll replace wrong with right
When He returns
Truth is an arrow and the gate is narrow that it passes through
He unleashed His power at an unknown hour that no one knew
How long can I listen to the lies of prejudice?
How long can I stay drunk on fear out in the wilderness?
Can I cast it aside, all this loyalty and this pride?
Will I ever learn that there’ll be no peace, that the war won’t cease
Until He returns?
Surrender your crown on this blood-stained ground, take off your mask
He sees your deeds, He knows your needs even before you ask
How long can you falsify and deny what is real?
How long can you hate yourself for the weakness you conceal?
Of every earthly plan that be known to man, He is unconcerned
He’s got plans of His own to set up His throne
When He returns
Bob Dylan On Faith and Spirituality:
Bob Dylan Quotes Related to Spirituality and Faith:
People seldom do what they believe in. They do what is convenient, then repent.
He not busy being born is busy dying.
Being noticed can be a burden. Jesus got himself crucified because he got himself noticed. So I disappear a lot.
Happiness radiates like the fragrance from a flower, and draws all good things toward you. Allow your love to nourish yourself as well as others. Do not strain after the needs of life. It is sufficient to be quietly alert and aware of them. In this way life proceeds more naturally and effortlessly. Life is here to enjoy! ~~ Maharishi Mahesh Yogi ~
Do you want to live a happy life? If you do, it’s important to learn to enjoy life. You might think you can only enjoy life when you already have a lot of money, or a successful career. That is not true. You can enjoy your life now, with what you already have. It is important to be grateful for what you have because what you have right now is enough. Life has a lot of simple things you can enjoy. If you move too fast, you will overlook most of them. Don’t always be in a hurry, don’t move too quickly. Take time to appreciate what is around you, live in the now with an eye on the future, and take time to smell the flowers.
It takes a deep commitment to change and an even deeper commitment to grow. ~ Ralph Ellison ~
If you feel you need change in your life, start by focusing on one task at a time. Focusing on just one goal will help you to grow and to achieve. While it might seem very difficult, focusing on only one goal is the most powerful way of achieving change. When you try to take on many tasks at once, you’re spreading thin your focus and energy — the two critical components for achieving change.
Changing your life for the better starts with your attitude about your life. Only you know what you want your life to be and only you have the power to make the choices necessary to create change in your life for the better. When you realize what is important in your life, take action and set goals. These goals can help us to be motivated to change our lives for the better and can help us accomplish our desire to be happy.
Everything that you want to achieve begins with a thought. Thoughts are made of the living, breathing, creative energy that makes everything possible, so use your thoughts wisely. Try to always see the glass as half full, and not half empty. Positive thinking can change the way you feel and make your life more enjoyable. The only person that is usually holding you back from accomplishing your dreams is you.
Instead of rushing around and trying to accomplish everything on your to-do list, stop and breathe. Giving yourself a peaceful moment now and then will leave you refreshed and calm, and able to take on whatever you need to do next. The act of breathing slows our heart, allowing the adrenaline rush to slow and it gives you time to relax.
When we exercise, we have no alternative but to take many deep breaths, because our body demands more oxygen to support our activity. However, if we are sedentary most of the time, we don’t have as much unconscious incentive to take deep breaths, and so we lose out not only on the benefits of movement but on the benefits of breathing — unless we take conscious steps to change that, whether it’s by periodically stopping for a “breathing break” or meditating on a regular basis, or some other practice that allows us time to breathe mindfully.
Much like meditation, sitting and resting brings about a mind and body awareness. Find a quiet corner in your house, or sit outside, and give yourself five or ten minutes to just relax and take deep breaths. This can help you cope with temporary physical and emotional situations.
Take time to breathe, then follow us at www.secretserendipity.com.
As any change must begin somewhere, it is the single individual who will experience it and carry it through. The change must indeed begin with an individual, it might be any one of us. Nobody can afford to look around and to wait for somebody else to do what he is loath to do himself. ~ Carl Jung ~
The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit. ~~ Nelson Henderson
If you want to do good, get started now. Showing up allows a committed chance at making a difference everyday for the people you care about. Be the change you wish to see in life. If you change how you think, then you will change how you feel, and what actions you take. Taking action can be difficult. But without taking action, very little will be done. Find what you really like to do, and what you really want to change. Then you’ll find the inner motivation to keep going. No one can change immediately, but even small changes can make an enormous and positive difference. Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something.
Taking action is so much more important than doing nothing. Start by the first physical action involved in getting something done: just get up, get busy, and do it. Those that take action are the ones that see results. If you move too slowly, you’ll know deep down that you could be taking more action. But if you try to do too much, you risk burnout. Figure out the point where you can achieve success and you’ll remain motivated to keep taking action. Just get started and you will be amazed at the results. Let us all do our fair share and see what a wonderful world this can be.
Indonesian culture is rich in spirituality involving ghosts and demons. Evidence of this popularity and the mainstream appeal of spirituality, the paranormal, and mysticism is the immense popularity of the Jejak Spiritual Paranormal Zone show that is spreading as an Internet sensation. Why has this series become such a sensation in Indonesian culture? Well, consider that there are actually famous ghosts and demons in Indonesia:
Wewe Gombel
Wewe Gombel also called Grandma Gombel is a term in Javanese tradition, which is an evil spirit that takes children, but does so without doing any harm. The Wewe Gombel serves as a sort of supernatural child protective services, taking children that are treated badly by their parents. The purpose is to put fear into the parents until they realize the error of their ways. When the parents come to their senses, they child is returned.
Wewe Gombel
Generuwo
Genderuwo is a spirit that deals with the dead who have not achieved a peaceful death. This can be due to suicide or mysterious circumstances. The spirit is not viewed as bad, but more of as an omen that something is wrong. The form of Genderuwo is that of an apish figure with a reddish-black mane, much like a Bigfoot. Genderuwo is most commonly known on the island of Java.
Genderuwo
Kuntilanak
Kuntilanak is a ghost who is believed to come from pregnant women who died during childbirth with the child unborn. The name “puntianak” stands for “woman that dies without child”. This myth is similar to the mythical ghost langsuir known in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia archipelago.
Generally, kuntilanak is described as a beautiful woman with long hair and a long white shirt. In Malay folklore, the kuntilanak figure is depicted in the form of a beautiful woman with a mutilated back. Kuntilanak is depicted as happily terrorizing villagers for revenge. When the Kuntilanak appears it always accompanied by fragrant frangipani flowers.

An amazing thing happens when we slow down. We start to get flashes of inspiration. We reach a new level of understanding and even wisdom. In a quiet moment, we can get an intuitive insight that can change our entire life and the lives of the people around us in incredibly positive ways. And those changes can last a lifetime. Living more simply will make it possible to create those quiet moments. Out of those quiet moments, miracles happen. Be open to them. ~ Elaine St. James (Living the Simple Life: Scaling Down and Enjoying More)
When someone talks to you, instead of jumping in with something about yourself, just listen. Absorb. Reflect their thoughts back to them. Appreciate their beauty.
Create a little quiet space in the morning. Just sit and put your attention on your breath, returning when your thoughts distract you. Instead of rushing to do something, take a breath and slow down. In the quiet space that you create, in this world of noise and rushing and distraction, is a new world of reflection, peacefulness, and beauty. It’s a world of your own, and it’s worth living in.
There is no shame in not understanding. Never be embarrassed to admit that you don’t understand what is being said. Clarity does not mean things are in focus, but rather it means giving rise to a mental hologram, or making something appear. If we understand something, we also apprehend it. But if we apprehend it, we don’t necessarily understand it. If we understand it correctly, then we apprehend it. If you can analyze something properly, you’ve understood it.
If you don’t understand something, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Maybe getting someone else’s perspective on things can help you clearly understand the situation. If you truly misunderstood a situation, admit that you might be wrong. Admitting when you are wrong allows you to realize how easy it can be to misunderstand something even when you believe you are correct.
The fact that you are willing to say, “I do not understand, and it is fine,” is the greatest understanding you could exhibit. ~ Dr. Wayne Dyer ~
The man who is too old to learn was probably always too old to learn. ~Henry S. Haskins
“Lord, thou knowest better than myself that I am growing older and will soon be old. Keep me from becoming too talkative, and especially from the unfortunate habit of thinking that I must say something on every subject and at every opportunity.
Release me from the idea that I must straighten out other peoples’ affairs. With my immense treasure of experience and wisdom, it seems a pity not to let everybody partake of it. But thou knowest, Lord, that in the end I will need a few friends.
Keep me from the recital of endless details; give me wings to get to the point.
Grant me the patience to listen to the complaints of others; help me to endure them with charity. But seal my lips on my own aches and pains — they increase with the increasing years and my inclination to recount them is also increasing.
I will not ask thee for improved memory, only for a little more humility and less self-assurance when my own memory doesn’t agree with that of others. Teach me the glorious lesson that occasionally I may be wrong.
Keep me reasonably gentle. I do not have the ambition to become a saint — it is so hard to live with some of them — but a harsh old person is one of the devil’s masterpieces.
Make me sympathetic without being sentimental, helpful but not bossy. Let me discover merits where I had not expected them, and talents in people whom I had not thought to possess any. And, Lord, give me the grace to tell them so.
Reality is what we take to be true. What we take to be true is what we believe. What we believe is based upon our perceptions. What we perceive depends upon what we look for. What we look for depends upon what we think. What we think depends upon what we perceive. What we perceive determines what we believe. What we believe determines what we take to be true. What we take to be true is our reality. ~ Gary Zukav
What we perceive is what we take to be true. What is right depends on our reality. Giving up the need to be right and being more open-minded can lead to a happier, more peaceful life and allow many opportunities for growth and learning. Not needing to be right can make a person more humble and a better listener.
A person who does not have any identity or value invested in being right can live life not being afraid to make mistakes and can laugh more easily at themselves. When a person is secure with a strong sense of self, they feel no need to be right because a differing view is not a threat.
The difference between a flower and a weed is judgement. Is Reality our Illusion? Things are never as they seem to be. What we are most concerned about in life rarely happens. Most of us worry needlessly. Embrace today for it is all we have.
There are no accidents in God’s Universe, or in our lives. There are no coincidences, everything happens for a reason. Understanding this principle will assist you on your path to spiritual awakening. You will understand how to be more aware of thing around you. Your spirit guides or angels are waiting to show you something wonderful. Be prepared to expect the unexpected.
Have you ever been given a sign and wondered if it was a coincidence? These could be solutions from your spirit guides or angels to help you with your decision making. Your angels are constantly sending you answers to your questions, but you must be in communication with them to understand the message. Pay attention to your coincidences, as they may be signs. Try to understand the message. But what if you do not get a sign? Your angels might want you to look again at your question, what you want might not be right for you and you need to go in another direction. If this is the case, ask your angel for clarity on how to proceed.
Our intention creates our reality. State your intention when contacting your angel, don’t be vague. Make sure to ask for what you want, not what you don’t want. Then trust that you will be sent a sign and that the possibilities will open up to create what you want. When you receive what you are seeking, you must thank your angel for helping and for always being there to take care of you. Too many times we discount the signs they give us, and write them off as mere coincidences, but they are not and you must pay attention.
Once we understand the way life really works and that there are no coincidences and everything happens for a reason, we will become full of joy. If you are seeking an answer, signs are everywhere, you only have to be more observant. If you have been looking for a sign, but cannot seem to understand where the sign seems to be, ask your angel to communicate to you through a song. Then pay attention to the next few songs you hear on the radio or television for a significant meaning. Ask your angel for a song and you will be amazed at how quickly you get your answer.
When you experience what you believe to be a coincidence, it is usually a validation sent from the angels that there is someone guiding you. If you ask for guidance, pay close attention to brochures in the mail, or meet someone that answers your question within their conversation.
Surrender your requests to your angels and you will see signs, many of which are in the form of what you believe as a coincidence. The more signs you notice, the more signs you will experience. Pay attention to your sign and be thankful that you are not alone and you have angels watching over you.
“Something watches over us and we know it when we follow the little voice inside or heed the warning or inspiration that arrives as if on wings. We need the intermediaries that keep us close to the spirit of life, to the wonders of nature and to the subtleties of our own inner nature.” ~ Michael Meade, The Genius Myth ~

Open doors and unlimited possibilities meet me wherever I go. Sometimes it takes time for the door to open.
“My favorite words are possibilities, opportunities and curiosity. I think if you are curious, you create opportunities, and then if you open the doors, you create possibilities.” ~ Mario Testino ~
Every day, we are blessed with unlimited possibilities. But are we opening our minds to seeing them? Each day we can choose to act or to react or to sit by and watch life pass us by. Are we aware of all the opportunities that might be there for the taking? Are you curious as to what life has in store for you? Life is not about what you could do, it’s about what you will do.
Why not wake up every morning and ask yourself what you are going to do today that is different and better than yesterday? If you are sad about what’s going on in your life right now, pause and just remember that everything changes, and tomorrow might be different. Why not try the “Opportunity Door” and see where it leads. Start your day tomorrow by choosing to be great!
You should Smudge whenever you feel negative energy is affecting you, your possessions and your surroundings. Smudge whenever you feel you need to create or enhance positive energy around you. Focus and intent are very important. As you walk around the rooms in your home that you want cleansed, picture the negative energies being brushed and cleaned away and imagine bringing up the Earth’s energies and all the positive energies from the sky. Smudge your home on a regular schedule or whenever you feel it is necessary.
Rules for Smudging your Home to Release Negative Energy
Ceremonial white sage is preferred for smudging. Carefully light your white sage at the tips of the leaves, making sure you have a fireproof bowl or plate ready to catch any ash as it burns.
Sage smudging is the most powerful, not when the sage is burning with a flame, but simply smoldering and smoking. If your sage is burning and you can see the flame, just blow it out and you’re ready to begin smudging.
When smudging your house, you’ll want to start from the back of the house and move to the front. If you have multiple levels, start from the bottom of the house and move to the top. Open windows to allow the negative energy to leave.
When you select the room you’re going to start smudging in, begin in one corner of the room, and move methodically around the room or rooms. Try to get behind furniture and in all other nooks and crannies in the space.
Our favorite smudging affirmation: “Bless this home and all who enter, please cleanse this home of all stagnant and negative energy, fill this home with light and love and with positive energy of the highest vibration.”
Use a feather to waft the smoke by carefully moving the entire smudge stick (and your fireproof bowl to catch ashes) in that direction. When you reach a window or door, waft the smoke into all four corners, beginning at the bottom left and moving in a clockwise direction.
Open cabinets and closets and waft inside, holding in your mind the intention to release density, stuck energy and negativity into the light. The last room you smudge should be the one with the front door.
When you’re finished, move outside and waft around the four corners of the door.
Smudging Herbs
White sage is the most common herb in smudge sticks. You’ll also find a few other herbs commonly used that each have their own advantages. Here’s a breakdown of what you can use in a smudge stick:
White Sage: For wisdom, calming and healing.
Sweet Grass: Promotes feminine properties and remind us that the Earth provides everything we need to live healthy nourished lives.
Lavender: Attract positive energy and love.
Juniper: Purifies and creates a safe and sacred space.
Cedar: Most commonly used when moving into a new space. It is used for protection and clearing of negative energies.
Frankincense: Alleviates depression and promote joyousness. Frankincense was once thought to be more valuable than gold. (burnt on charcoal)
Yerba Santa: Protects boundaries and clears the air of mold and impurities.
Rosemary: Promotes health and memory.
Mugwort: Stimulates dreams.
Copal: Gives thanks to the earth, copal is similar to frankincense. (burnt on charcoal)
My husband and I bought our home 2 1/2 yrs ago. It seemed all our home projects came with much difficulty and added problems. Seemed that no project could be completed with ease. I didn’t feel the peace that I felt in our previous home. After speaking with a neighbor and hearing of all the “unrest” and turmoil that took place in our home (with the previous owners) I decided to order the Smudge Kit. We followed the directions “To a T”. Since my husband and I used the kit together I feel more at peace in our home and we were able to rid our home of the “negative energy” that existed. I would highly recommend this smudge kit and Prayers. We will do more routine smudging to “keep the Peace” in our home.

I’ve Learned: It’s hard to accept, but we can’t change the past. We can’t go back and manipulate things to the way we wanted them to happen. Because life would be meaningless and boring and just not worth living if we did. But we can change the future and that is a beautiful thing about life.
Yes, we will make mistakes. And yes, we will have bad days. But as long as we let the past go, we will have such a gorgeous and bright future ahead for us. Knowing that things were meant to happen, knowing that each day we will learn something so that we keep growing to be a better person. Life is a ride worth taking, so jump on and enjoy the journey.

We are drawn to people who smile because smiling makes them attractive. We want to know a smiling person and figure out what is so good. Frowns, scowls and grimaces all push people away, but a smile draws them in. Let’s be one of those attractive people. Smile at everyone. A smile can light up a single heart, or a whole room. It’s a wonderful free gift you can give to anyone who looks your way. Contribute to the bank of happiness, smile!
Next time you are feeling down, try putting on a smile. There’s a good chance your mood will change for the better. Smiling can trick the body into helping you change your mood. Practice it today, smile when someone catches your eye. Try turning smiling into a habit and watch all the positive results happen.
If you are looking for happiness, you can only find it inside of you. Don’t look beyond yourself, you will not find it in another person. Your source of happiness is of your own making. Choose to be happy. Most people feel unhappy in their lives because they expect others to give them things that they can only give themselves. Thinking that another person is your key to happiness will only bring you disappointment. Your relationship with yourself is the only one you have that lasts for your whole life, and you can be your greatest friend or your worst enemy. When you are happy, people around you like you more and want to share in your happy disposition.
If you don’t have it now, develop an optimistic outlook, then believe it to be true. Show kindness to others, it will make you feel really good about yourself. Smile to people you come in contact with every day. That includes friends, family, co-workers, and strangers. Love who you are, and be thankful for what you have. Exercise and healthy eating will help you on this path. There is always time to do more of what you really want to do, so make it happen. Focus on the present, not yesterday or tomorrow, for the present is all we have.
As Oscar Wilde said, “Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.”

Life is not a random event. It has purpose and provides for the unfoldment of a divine plan with opportunities to make choices and decisions in every moment. ~ Collin C. Tipping (Radical Forgiveness) ~
If you are faced with a difficult choice, weigh the pros and cons. Take some time and thoroughly analyze the pros and cons of your situation. Work to determine which situation will provide you with the most good and least bad. Don’t let fear decide. Push your fear aside and recognize that you need to make a choice that’s based on what’s best, not a choice based on what you are afraid of.
Believe in the choice you’ve made and remind yourself that everything is happening as it should. Once you’ve made your choice, make sure that you don’t look back. Know that everything will work out the way it’s supposed to and that you have done the very best you could to make your choice.
Choose things that will bring your loved one’s peace. Choose things that will not make those who love you, hurt by your decisions. Choose what’s best for you, and if you don’t care about what’s best for you, then choose to try and learn to love yourself, because there are many people that do.
It’s not the face, but the expressions on it. It’s not the voice, but what you say. It’s not how you look in that body, but the thing you do with it. You are beautiful.” ~ Stephanie Meyer (The Host) ~
True beauty shines through. It is evident in every word and deed. A life in which happiness is possible is also beautiful, and the path to a beautiful life is paved with beautiful thoughts, beautiful outlooks, that bring a smile and spread happiness to others.
Beauty! what can be said of it? what is it? I look around, to see some object specially beautiful, on which to expend my panegyrics. There is the deep fathomless azure above me; there is the sea, the wild, open, careering ocean; there is that bright clear eye which ever lights my solitude; there is a fair girl, a beautiful boy; there are the stars looking down from heaven; there is beauty in the human countenance, beauty in looks, beauty in thoughts, beauty in actions. What shall I say! I am bewildered; beauty overwhelms me. I am dumb, who would emulate the oratory of an archangel. I am lost in the magnitude of my theme… ~T.C. Henley, “Beauty,” 1851
Often we wonder what our own ultimate meaning of our existence could be. Do we have a definite purpose, a plan for accomplishing something of lasting significance? Life is filled with questions, but do we have the answers that will manifest the path we should be taking? Are we making the right choices in life to get where we want to go? Who we currently are has been shaped by our past. It’s time to think to the future and how we are going to make our dreams a reality.
We first must understand that we are already complete and whole. When we realize that we are looking for what we already have, we will no longer be kept at arms length of what brings us peace and happiness. Our next path in our journey should have a measure of willingness to relinquish control and give ourselves over to a process that we cannot fully understand. Things go much more smoothly when we surrender our control and allow things to happen. It gives us the opportunity to see the bigger picture. We trust that the Universe will support us at every turn. While we are still on this earth, we should plan on, and expect, a transformation in thinking that should now happen over time.
We are all divine souls who are only separated by our individual egos. We affect others by who we are as human beings. Kindness is contagious. Goodness begets more goodness. We should take steps to realize our commitment to serve others and to be of value. Our community should be one where people come to trust each other. Make a difference! The secret to happiness is helping others. By helping others, we fulfill our own destiny.
“The greatest hunger in life is not for food, money, success, status, security, sex, or even love from the opposite sex. Time and again people have achieved all these things and wound up still feeling dissatisfied- indeed, often more dissatisfied than when they began. The deepest hunger in life is a secret that is revealed only when a person is willing to unlock a hidden part of the self. In the ancient traditions of wisdom, this quest has been likened to diving for the most precious pearl in existence, a poetic way of saying that you have to swim far out beyond shallow waters, plunge deep into yourself, and search patiently until the pearl beyond price is found. The pearl is also called essence, the breath of god, the water of life…labels for what we, in our more prosaic scientific age, would simply call TRANSFORMATION.” ~ Deepak Chopra, The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of Your Life ~
