December 2021 Astrological Events – December is a Water month. It brings challenges to help us cope with the continuous stream of new responsibilities all of us have faced, and are facing. The patron saint of most of December is Neptune, responsible for inspiration, concentration and composure. If asked, he can activate your mental and physical abilities, help you prioritize and guide you in the right direction
December 2021 Astrological Events – New Moon in Sagittarius!
December 4th – New Moon – If the Moon is between the Earth and the Sun in its orbit, then the back side of the Moon is lit up and the side facing the Earth is in darkness. This is called a new Moon. With this Moon in Sagittarius you have an optimistic approach to life and you believe that things will get better even if you get into trouble. The New Moon is an ideal time to set intentions and goals that you’ll develop as the Moon waxes toward fullness. Connecting to these Lunar energies can provide grounding and a sense of direction.
December 2021 Astrological Events – Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius!
December 4th – The Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius invites us to cultivate our will to manifest the adventures of our dreams. Additionally, the eclipse will be closely conjunct with Mercury, hinting towards a need to have a humble attitude going forward. Though Sagittarius embodies the concepts of certainty and conviction, Mercury is here to remind us that truth is more complicated than it may seem. The ruler of this Eclipse (Jupiter) will also be squaring Mars shortly after the lunation. This transit symbolizes our need to grow free of the things that have been tying us down. Recklessness and disruptive behavior might be distinct aspects of this cycle. With that being said, we must think before we act.
December 2021 Astrological Events – New Moon Brings Time of Insecurity!
December 11th – First Quarter Moon – This phase occurs roughly 7 days after the New Moon when the Moon is one quarter of the way through its orbit around the earth. Exactly half the Moon will be illuminated and half dark. You can experience feelings of insecurity, so be passive and only wait and see what happens in your life. You will be pleasantly surprised. If you engage in creative or spiritual search, you will benefit from great imagination of Pisces.
December 2021 Astrological Events – The Cold, Yule, Full Moon!
December 19th – Full Moon in Gemini – December’s Full Moon is known as the Cold Moon and the Long Night’s Moon. This Full Moon has a high trajectory across the sky, causing it to sit about the horizon for a longer period of time. It is also known as the Moon Before Yule, in honor of the ancient European festival celebrating the return of the Sun heralded by the year’s longest night. A Full Moon in Gemini manifests itself by the need for changes and spontaneity. Safety lies in thinking about your feelings and sharing them with others. Stay with the positive.
December 2021 Astrological Events – Last Quarter Moon – Always Be Kind!
December 27th – Last Quarter Moon – The Last Quarter Moon falls one week after the Full Moon. From Earth, we see the Moon half-lit. A Last Quarter Moon appears half-lit by sunshine and half-immersed in its own shadow. It rises in the middle of the night, appears at its highest in the sky around dawn, and sets around midday. During this time, you desire to keep things “nice” rather than venturing into fundamental questions in order not to disturb the peace. You must learn to share your good and bad feelings. Do not be afraid to be who you really are, despite what is expected of you. Always be kind.
December 2021 Astrological Events – Venus and Pluto Conjunct!
During the month of December, 2021, Venus and Pluto will be conjunct in Capricorn, bringing passion and desire to a month already full of events. However, the fact that this conjunction is happening in a sign ruled by Saturn can be quite enjoyable. Capricorn is not usually a sign associated with fun and extravagance. Much contrary, here is where hard work and perseverance are exalted. This could symbolize that the luxury that Venus desires is one that we will have to achieve through hard work and patience.

1) Freedom. Despite frustration with politics. I’m very thankful for the men and women — and their families — serving in the military.
2) Friends and family. I’m thankful for new relationships and connections this past year — both online and right here at home. Of course, I love my long-time friendships as well.
3) Healthy Children. Children from families who eat together on a regular basis are more likely to have family support, positive peer influences, and positive role models. The world of tomorrow will inherit the children of today.
4) Nature. I’m thankful for the beautiful world around me — for the changing seasons, the brilliant colors, the promise of coming spring.
5) Finding money in your pocket. Money that hasn’t been budgeted for, remembered, or owed. It is disposable income in the truest sense of the phrase.
6) A pet. Having a pet helps you stay connected to life. They are great companions and the perfect best friend. They are always around when you need them and provide constant and loving companionship. They ask for very little in return, they just want to be where you are.
7) Your health, even on days when it isn’t perfect. Being healthy means that your body is functioning as it should, without pain or discomfort. When we are in good health, we can enjoy all the good things in life, in moderation, without guilt or shame.
8) Your support system. It can be people at work, at home or spread out all over the country. Knowing there are people who are there for you can make all the difference. They are people who will lift you up and give you whatever you need with only a moment’s notice.
9) The healing power of music. Music has the power to heal and to join people together in peace. The spirit of music is within us all. Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.
10) Laughter. It makes us happy and healthy. Humor lightens your burdens, inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded. Nothing diffuses anger and conflict faster than a shared laugh.
11) Desserts. To live without them is to live in a colorless world. Eating desserts means that you have a good sense of what you want. We feel like we are feeding our soul with food that makes us feel like we’ve finally found Heaven. Desserts make life more enjoyable.
12) Police Officers, Firefighters, and all First Responders. These brave men and women risk their lives daily to save the lives of others. They work long and crazy hours around the clock, and rush to scenes helping complete strangers without thinking twice. They put themselves on the front line of dangerous and traumatic events every day.
13) Love. Love is accepting difference. It is letting each one be who they are without fear of censure. Love is an unselfish, loyal concern for the good of another. It is a wonderful feeling.
14) Good food and Clean Water. Good food gives us the energy we need to survive. Fresh water is one of our most vital resources. The quality of our water is directly linked to the quality of our lives. Without good food and clean water, the body cannot grow or perform at its best, our organs stop working, and the body eventually dies. We are blessed to have the best of both.
15) Money. Money is great because it means that life is not a constant effort at keeping our heads above water. When we have money, we are able to live life to the fullest, enjoy adventures, and make the most out of life.

Thanksgiving Day History – Thanksgiving is a day to spend some time with the people we care about, and to think about what it is that has made us the way we are today. It is a time of year to be thankful for everything we have. There’s something about the warm, coziness of being home with family for the holidays that lifts everyone’s spirit. Thanksgiving is a day filled with the sound of a crackling fire and the smell of a turkey roasting in the oven. But how did it all come about?
Thanksgiving Day History – Celebrating the Pilgrims!
Thanksgiving Day of today is the celebration of the Pilgrim’s meal with the Native Americans on the fourth Thursday of November. It commemorates how newcomers were first welcomed by celebrating the harvest with their Native American neighbors. Originally, it was traditionally celebrated on the last Thursday of November in the early 1800’s, but left up to the individual states to decide when each would celebrate. In 1863, President Lincoln issued a proclamation that all states will celebrate Thanksgiving on the same day. This act was an effort to unite the North and the South, but due to the rebellion of the North’s authority, the holiday was not consistently celebrated on the same day until after Reconstruction. A joint resolution was signed by Congress and President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1941 to change the holiday to the fourth Thursday of November rather than the last, believing the earlier economic boost to be beneficial to the United States economy.
Thanksgiving Day History – Thanksgiving in Canada!
Canada’s Thanksgiving is very similar to the American celebration, marking the successful harvest of French settlers in modern-day Canada. This celebration takes place in October when the weather is warmer. In 1957, Parliament moved it from November 6 to October, declaring, “A Day of General Thanksgiving to Almighty God for the bountiful harvest with which Canada has been blessed—to be observed on the 2nd Monday in October.” Feasting on turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn are common the weekend before. Vacations and parades are also traditional.
Thanksgiving Day History – Thanksgiving in Germany!
Germany celebrates the Harvest Thanksgiving Festival in October, which, like American celebrations, consists of feasting and religious traditions. Their Thanksgiving takes place on the first Sunday of October. Erntedankfest is essentially a harvest festival that gives thanks for a good year and good fortune.
Thanksgiving Day History – Thanksgiving in Japan!
The Japanese observe Labor Thanksgiving Day, which has roots with harvest celebrations but now celebrates labor, production, and thankfulness. Derived from ancient harvest festival rituals named Niinamesai, its modern meaning is more tied to a celebration of hard work and community involvement, hence its translation: Labor Thanksgiving Day. In Japan, Labor Thanksgiving Day is about being thankful for workers who do their job and do it well. Sometimes you literally thank those people — school kids make thank you cards and gifts for municipal workers like police, firefighters, and hospital workers.
Thanksgiving Day History – Thanksgiving in West Africa!
A variation on America’s Thanksgiving can be found in the West African nation of Liberia, which was founded in the 19th century by freed slaves from the U.S. Mainly celebrated by Christians, Liberians take the concept of the cornucopia and fill their churches with baskets of local fruits like bananas, papayas, mangoes, and pineapples. An auction for these is held after the service, and then families retreat to their homes to feast.
Thanksgiving Day History – Thanksgiving in the Netherlands!
The Netherlands observes a Thanksgiving Day service to honor the Pilgrims that lived in Leiden before continuing on to Plymouth. The people of Leiden still celebrate the American settlers who once lived there with a non-denominational church service on the fourth Thursday of November. Afterwards, there’s no turkey, but cookies and coffee are offered.
Thanksgiving in America!
The American tradition is highlighted by the Thanksgiving meal. Turkey is the most common main dish of a Thanksgiving dinner. Ham is often served alongside turkey in many non-traditional households. Delicious, classic recipes are always in style for a Thanksgiving feast. America’s favorite classic side dishes for Thanksgiving are mashed sweet or white potatoes and gravy, stuffing, corn muffins, cranberry sauce, and either a green bean, corn or Brussels sprouts casserole. Desserts include: pumpkin, apple or pecan pie.
Thanksgiving Prayer!
Thank you, Father, for having created us and given us to each other in the human family. Thank you for being with us in all our joys and sorrows, for your comfort in our sadness, your companionship in our loneliness. Thank you for yesterday, today, tomorrow and for the whole of our lives. Thank you for friends, for health and for grace. May we live this and every day conscious of all that has been given to us.
Thanksgiving Gratitude Tree!
A gratitude tree is a fun way to share what Thanksgiving means to each person. You can free-cut the shape of a tree with lots of branches from a brown 12″x12″ sheet of paper, then tape it to your dining room wall or attach it to the refrigerator. Cut out leaf shapes from various fall shades of paper. Let each family member write something for which they are thankful on a leaf and attach to the tree with tape.
Thanksgiving Centerpiece!
A variation could be a Thanksgiving Centerpiece. Cut a branch or two from the yard and put in a vase. Cut leaves from colored construction paper and put a string on each one. Each person takes a leaf or two and writes their name and date on one side and what they are thankful for on the other side, then hang them on the branch that would be in the vase in the center of the table. Leaves can be carried over from year to year as new ones are added. If your celebration includes many, you might want to have a side table for the tree, with cut greens from the yard, pine cones, and a few Christmas ornaments around the bottom.

November 2021 Astrology – From a Full Moon to a New Moon in Scorpio, from a Leonid Meteor Shower to a partial Lunar Eclipse – Observances in November bring us important Days to celebrate!
November 2021 Astrology – November 4th – New Moon in Scorpio!
November 4, 2021 – New Moon in Scorpio – Rainbows shine brightest after a dark storm, so keep that in mind as you navigate the introspective and pensive energy of this New Moon. Instead of distracting yourself with work projects or social plans, focus on listening to your inner voice and connecting with your spiritual side — even if that means spending this lunar moment in solitude. Some time alone will leave you feeling refreshed.
November 2021 Astrology – Numerology and Karma for November!
November 11, 2021 – This day in itself is the most powerful of the whole month in regards to numerology. It is 11/11. This doubles the Karmic power of the master number itself. This number is a wake-up call. It comes into our lives and shakes our world. It forces us to pay attention and most of the time that is exactly what we need. This is an activation number and it will bring forth amplified energies. On November 11th you should expect to feel very charged and a lot of intensity around you. Whether you are using these energies for healing or something else, they will work wonders.
November 17th – Leonid Meteor Shower!
November 17, 2021 – Leonid Meteor Shower – Meteor showers symbolize beauty rising from ashes. Meteor showers represent the spiritual insights and wisdom gained from looking deep within the shadows of ourselves and our world. They invite us to create new ideas and beliefs. They’re like little bursts of “aha” moments. Meteor showers can be quite the spectacular sighting and are sometimes very rare.
November 2021 Astrology – Powerful Spiritual Energy!
The spiritual significance of meteor showers dates back to ancient times as they have been referenced as gifts and signs from heaven or the bringing of powerful spiritual energy that can be used when you are under one. Many people have lost their connection to spiritual energy, due to placing focus and importance on the material, physical world. When we are consciously aware and open to the energy incoming from the Universe, we have the ability to invoke it, absorb it, and channel it so that our levels of consciousness rise, and also that of our entire planet.
November 19th – Full Moon – Beaver Moon!
November 19, 2021- Full Moon in Scorpio – A Full Moon in Scorpio gives us the chance to hold both collective grief — something that is not only personal, but also our collective inheritance — and the pleasure of being alive at the same time. This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Beaver Moon because this was the time of year to set the beaver traps before the swamps and rivers froze. It has also been known as the Frosty Moon and the Hunter’s Moon.
November 2021 Astrology – Do you know what is “Holding You Back?”
During this Full Moon, you have an opportunity to see what’s holding you back. Focus on areas of love, partnership, needs, and desires, and honor where you are in the present. You can make a list of what you want and need, placing it somewhere you can see it. You can even make a list of anything you no longer need, of what’s holding you back, and burn it. It’s sure to feel good. This Moon illuminates whatever it is you need.
Scorpio is symbolic of the lightest light and the darkest dark. You can be anything you want to be, and this Full Moon is encouraging you to transform. Are you ready to shed your snake skin? The Moon governs our emotional world, intuitive instincts, and shadow self, so it’s easy to feel hypersensitive during this time, especially during a fixed water sign like Scorpio.
November 2021 Astrology – Take This Opportunity to Dig Deeper!
What part of you is ready to transform? What have you been refusing to acknowledge? There’s something brewing beneath the surface here, we’re also being guided to ground, and materialize. But before you move forward and solidify something, it’s important to reflect on the revelation that’s taking place. Perhaps there’s something that’s no longer resonating with you at a soul level and as the days go by, it’s become more difficult to ignore. Whatever the case may be, this is an opportunity to dig deeper.
November 19th – Partial Lunar Eclipse!
November 19, 2021 – Partial Lunar Eclipse. A partial lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through the Earth’s partial shadow, or penumbra, and only a portion of it passes through the darkest shadow, or umbra. During this type of eclipse, a part of the Moon will darken as it moves through the Earth’s shadow. The eclipse will be visible throughout most of eastern Russia, Japan, the Pacific Ocean, North America, Mexico, Central America, and parts of western South America.
Eclipses bring about events that are part of the cosmic plan. These are important times for reflection upon your life, whom you need to forgive, or what you need to let go of and move on from. Eclipses are rare because they can only take place when the Sun, the Earth and the Moon are all aligned. They always happen in groups of two or three. A lunar eclipse happens when the Moon and the Sun are on exact opposite sides of Earth. There are four to seven eclipses every calendar year.
November Acts Like a Mirror!
Representing the spiritual warrior, November acts like a mirror, reflecting the truth that the real battle invariably lies with your own self. Now is the time to remain mindful and concentrate on right actions and correct conduct. This month’s energies provide personal protection. Not permitting any escapism, the energies of the Number 11 will not allow you to cover your eyes and deny happenings around you, but will instead call for awakening and action.

Halloween is a lot of fun, a little spooky and anything but serious. Why not have fun and make the Strawberry Halloween Ghost treats with your kids. Find it at the bottom of this page.
Halloween Brings a Change of Seasons!
The word Halloween is derived from the term, “All Hallows Eve,” which occurred on Oct. 31. “All Saints Day” or “All Hallows Day” was the next Day, Nov. 1st. Therefore, Halloween is the eve of All Saints Day. Stories abound that the origin of the holiday began around the time of Christ, but in ancient Ireland and Scotland. At this time of year, the animals were brought into shelters, and crops were harvested. This time of change involved a lot of superstition. This annual change of season and lifestyle was marked by a festival called Samhain, which means ‘end of summer.’
Halloween Recipe – a Celebration of our Imagination!
Halloween is the celebration of our imagination and willingness to dance with our neighbors and friends. Halloween is one of the greatest holidays because almost everyone can participate in it. When it comes to donning Halloween gear, there’s a sense of community, of people who all just want to get dressed up in something silly or scary. It is a great time to use your imagination to don a costume that is unique and innovative. It’s our annual chance to live a fantastical existence. Whatever we want to be, we can put on a costume and be it. But for the most part, nothing beats seeing kids all dressed up and excited to go door to door in search of treats. There’s a crisp in the air and a feeling of happiness that peaks on Halloween. Idealistic maybe, but it’s why we will always love the day.
The Jack-O-Lantern comes from Irish folklore about a man named Jack who tricked the devil into climbing a tree. Once the devil was in the tree, Jack carved a cross on the trunk preventing the devil from coming down. The devil then made a deal with Jack not to allow Jack into hell after he died if only Jack would remove the cross from the tree. After Jack died, he couldn’t go to hell; and he couldn’t go to heaven. He was forced to wander around the earth with a single candle to light his way. The candle was placed in a turnip to keep it burning longer. When the Irish came to America in the 1800’s, they adopted the pumpkin instead of the turnip. Along with these traditions, they brought the idea that the black cat was considered by some to be reincarnated spirits who had prophetic abilities.
A Halloween Recipe – Halloween and the Color Orange!
One of Halloween’s traditional colors, orange, reflects the ancient connection to agriculture and its celebration as a pre-Christian harvest festival. Orange, the color of pumpkins and autumn leaves, evoking the spirit of the fall season. It is a lively color that celebrates life.
Black Candles to Banish Negative Energy!
Many people burn black candles for protection, reflection, yang energy and wisdom. The color black corresponds to the sign of Capricorn. Black candles are used in many cultures to banish negativity. Black candles enhance spiritual energies. Your favorite essential oil should be rubbed on the wax of the candle before burning to increase its effectiveness. Saturday is the most powerful day for burning your black candle. Burning of this candle can also help break a bad habit or mark the end of a phase in your life that has not been good for you.
A Halloween Recipe: Strawberry Ghosts – Recipe!

12 Large Strawberries, rinsed and dried
1½ cup or 150g White Chocolate
½ cup or 50g Dark Chocolate
Method
Melt the dark chocolate either in a glass bowl over a pan of hot water or in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds to ensure it doesn’t get too hot.

Mercury Retrograde September 27 to October 18 2021 – Mercury Retrograde is an astrological phenomenon that occurs when the fast-moving planet Mercury—which takes 88 days to orbit the Sun, as opposed to Earth’s 365—seems to slow down. Mercury Retrograde is an optical illusion which means it looks as if the planet is moving backwards from our view here on Earth.
Mercury Retrograde September 27 to October 18 2021 – The Energy of Mercury Retrograde!
This fall’s Mercury Retrograde happens from September 27th and continues to October 18th but the energy of this retrograde has been present since September 6th and will continue to be felt (but not intensely) until November 2nd . Mercury is the planet that represents communication of all kinds. When it goes retrograde, the theory is that our communications get thrown out of whack.
Mercury – Messenger to the Gods!
Mercury — named after the Roman deity who served as a messenger to the gods — is the quick-moving planet that governs communication, travel, and technology. It helps us transmit messages by controlling both what we say and how we process what we hear from others. Three or four times per year, Mercury appears to go backward in the sky. While other planets also go retrograde, this particular retrograde has the potential to screw up all things related to communication and transmission. Shakeups aside, when Mercury rests, it gives us time to take a breath.
Mercury Retrograde September 27 to October 18 2021 – A Time when Nothing will be Handled Successfully!
Don’t make any important moves when Mercury is Retrograde. Nothing will be settled successfully for the future during these periods anyway – you will find it nearly impossible to nail down a plan. During a retrograde period, it is hard to get decisions from others. Even if a decision is made, it will be subject to change, either just after Mercury turns to direct motion or much later.
Hold off on signing any contracts or making a big purchase.
Be prepared for traffic and other travel mishaps.
Avoid situations primed for misunderstandings….
Don’t rely on technology.
Delete any texts from a toxic ex.
Refrain from starting anything new.
Mercury Retrograde September 27 to October 18 2021 – Mercury Retrograde and Romantic Relationships!
With communication going haywire, Mercury Retrograde can really mess with romantic relationships, family dynamics, and emotions in general. You may say the wrong thing at the wrong time, send an awkward text, or double-book plans. Throwing a wrench in any aspects of your life can cost dollars and patience, which is why taking time to think carefully during a Mercury Retrograde can be the difference between success and failure.
Mercury Retrograde and Communications!
When Mercury is direct it helps us to speak our truth and communicate it to the world. When Mercury goes retrograde however, this planet gives us the opportunity to assess our truth and how we have been communicating it to the world. This dual process has to exist and happen for us to really understand who we are and how we choose to express or communicate this information. Mercury Retrograde comes with the obvious annoyances but they’re for our growth, despite how frustrating they can feel.
Mercury Retrograde September 27 to October 18 2021 – Mercury Retrograde and Rekindling Relationships!
This is a time to reach out to people you haven’t seen but are thinking of. Don’t be surprised if this happens on its own. If people come into your consciousness, reach out. Just like those projects you need to finish, this is the time to rekindle those relationships you might’ve lost touch with that you care for. If you break up with your significant other, you may find yourself back together again. Unfortunately, things that happen during a Mercury Retrograde just don’t always stick.
Mercury Retrograde Ritual!
A Mercury Retrograde Ritual will help you stay calm during the cosmic chaos! For the ritual, you’ll need: A childhood photo or a toy, an orange candle, and a positive mindset. For the ritual: Light the candle, and hold onto the photo or toy, or both. Close your eyes and think of the things that make you the happiest. Remember the things that made you laugh as a child, and your favorite ways to play. Call upon this innocence, and ask it to guide you throughout your creative process. Meaning: The childhood item or photo, has your energy and essence. The orange candle is a representation of your sacred Chakra, the Chakra associated with creativity and self expression. Together, these two items can help you manifest your unique light.

Embrace your own spooky side and get into the spirit of the season. This is the beginning of the season of going within, rest, and reflection. We’re now half way between the September Equinox and the December Solstice. It’s a season of transition between autumn and winter. Halloween reminds us to celebrate the cycles of the seasons too. Something as simple as a walk in nature, or a beautiful park, is a peaceful way to tune in to the turning year and think about your own “harvest”, or quietly remember someone dear to you who’s passed on.

Moon Phases September 2021 – This September Full Moon will rise late-night on Monday, September 20, just two days before the Fall Equinox! It will be taking place in the dreamy and emotional realm of Pisces, located within the Constellation of Virgo.
Moon Phases September 2021 – Full Harvest Moon!
The Full Moon that happens nearest to the fall Equinox always takes on the name “Harvest Moon.” Unlike other Full Moons, this Full Moon rises at nearly the same time—around sunset—for several evenings in a row, giving farmers several extra evenings of moonlight and allowing them to finish their harvests before the frosts of fall arrive. This Full Moon is also referred to as the “Corn Moon.” This phase of the Moon is the most active of the Moon cycles and typically brings with it increased stamina and evening energy. Frost occurring in the dark of the moon kills fruit buds and blossoms, but frost in the light of the moon will not.
Moon Phases September 2021 – Fall Equinox!
The Fall Equinox, occurring on September 22, has the Sun shining directly on the equator and there will be nearly equal amounts of day and night throughout the world. This is also the first day of Fall in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of Spring in the Southern Hemisphere. This Fall Equinox brings a powerful time to tap into the wisdom of the Earth, the light of the Sun, and your profound connection with Source, and the entire Cosmos.
Full Moon in Pisces!
This Full Moon in Pisces may find you drifting and dreaming. These Full Moon vibrations could have you more concerned with the thoughts that are dancing through your head than the realities of everyday life. Realistic daydreams show us what might actually be possible for our lives. Also, fantasy-based daydreaming gives people the pleasant experience of enjoying a mental reward without any effort. It’s always important to have a balance.
Moon Phases September 2021 – A Feeling of Sensitivity!
A Full Moon in Pisces can give you feelings of sensitivity. But you are also experiencing insecurities, of being passive, and you are just waiting to see what happens next in your life. When your only goal is to make it through another day or make it to the weekend, that is a massive portion of your life that you are throwing away. Walking, jogging, hiking and bike riding outdoors are all important forms of physical activity, and are important for your mental health as well as physical.
Moon Phases September 2021 – Our Sixth Sense!
A Full Moon is the phase of the Moon when we tend to be incredibly sensitive people that have been gifted with a sharp intuition. Our sixth sense is so strong at this time that we often display psychic abilities, and are prone to having prophetic dreams and picking up on things around us that others might miss. Dreams are a portal, and the more acquainted we become with this subconscious realm, the more easily we are able to access the full spectrum of our psychic gift.
Moon Phases September 2021 – Constellation of Virgo!
Although the September’s Full Moon is in the Sign of Pisces, it lies within the Constellation of Virgo. Virgo season will force you to really hunker down and focus on what’s happening in your life, and that can have a big impact on your future. Dedicating some time now to figure out the best way to get ahead at work can impact you and your career for years. Once you’ve got your work stuff nailed down, you’ll turn your laser vision over to your love life. If you’re single, you’ll be ready to find someone to cozy up to once the weather turns cooler.
Freeing your home of stagnant energies can be done anytime, but it’s a good rule of thumb to do a thorough smudging of your home four times a year when the seasons change. Create a sacred space with candles and sage smudging. Burn sage in a safe bowl and use a feather to fan the sacred smoke. Then place a large water-filled bowl in front of you, in the middle of a table. This can be done inside or out, with friends or alone. Place a floating candle into the bowl. Declare what you want to release under this Moon. Allow the candle to keep burning in the bowl as a symbol of the letting-go process.
Moon Phases September 2021 – A Time for Letting Go!
Things to Release: Fear of change, Grief, Shame, Releasing a job, Ending a relationship and the energy attached to it, Belief that you’re not good enough, Comparing yourself to others, Worrying about money, Clinging onto things, Fear of success, Letting go of the need for approval from others, Fear of criticism and judgment, Old beliefs that are no longer serving you.

Ruled by Mercury and with the added element of Earth, September can be a month of pressure, mental tension and feelings of disquiet. It’s time to get around positive, nourishing and encouraging people that have the capacity to support us and add to our state of harmony rather than deplete us and knock us off kilter.
Origins of September!
September comes from the Latin word septem, meaning “seven,” because it was the seventh month of the early Roman calendar. Names for September have been derived from farming activities at this time of year. During Charlemagne’s time and in Switzerland, it was called the “Harvest Month.” Meanwhile the Anglo-Saxons focused on one crop calling it Barley Month. The idea of September representing in gathering and abundance remains to this day. The September Equinox takes place in this month, and certain observances are organized around it. It is the Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, and the Vernal Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere.
The two zodiac signs associated with the month of September are Virgo and Libra. Virgo (September 1st to the 22 ) is a time to pay attention to small details. Our approach to life should ensure that nothing is left to chance. It is a time to be tender, but your heart might be closed for the outer world. Libra begins on September 23. The sign of Libra is an Air sign and brings a time of constant mental stimuli, strong intellect and a keen mind. It is a time of being inspired by good books, insurmountable discussions and intermingling with people who have a lot to say.
September’s Full Moon!
This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the “Full Corn Moon” because the corn is harvested around this time of year. The astronomical seasons do not match up with the lunar month. Therefore, the month of the Full Corn or Harvest Moon varies. Usually, it occurs in September, as it does this month. The Full Moon is also called the “Dying Grass Moon” as it plays into the theme of the changing seasons. At this time of year, crops such as corn, pumpkins, squash, and wild rice are ready for gathering. Most often, the September Full Moon is actually the Harvest Moon, in addition to being named the Dying Grass Moon. In two years out of three, the Harvest Moon comes in September, but in some years it occurs in October.
September and the Dreamer!
September is the month for the “Dreamer!” Our ideas are original and ahead of our time. When we are positive and enthusiastic about a project, we have the ability to project this and excite others. We possess depth of vision, but the dreamer side of our nature is compassionate and idealistic. We will learn from yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow. “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” ~Eleanor Roosevelt
September and Connections!
Summer is ending and the first awareness of the coming harvest is in the air. It is a time to understand that to have our own needs met, we must serve others in some way. Volunteering can help counteract the effects of stress, anger, and anxiety. Nothing relieves stress better than a meaningful connection to another person. It’s a time to show kindness to others. September is a month to bring order out of confusion. If you aren’t where you want to be in life and you want to make a change, then the first step is really knowing that it’s never too late. Today is just as great of a day to start as any other. Harmony is coming into our lives. When we have a positive focus, then we will tend to attract more positive things. Whereas if we have a negative focus, then we will attract negative things. We know this and are now taking control over where we focus our attention. Where attention goes, energy flows.
September and Friendships!
September brings awareness. It is important that we receive respect and are not taken for granted. We feel generous and supportive with the people we love, so it’s time to do something special for them. September brings the ability to make loyal friends as we look for stability and security in our relationships. Having an active social life can bolster our immune system and help reduce isolation, a major contributing factor to depression.

Moon Phases August 2021 – The New Moon in Leo will be on August 8th with the Full Moon that is located in Aquarius on August 22nd. This August Full Moon is special because it is a Blue Moon, which is an extra Full Moon in between the Solstice and the Equinox – an event that only happens once every 2.7 years.
Moon Phases August 2021 – New Moon in Leo – August 8th!
The New Moon is the most magical time of the Lunar cycle, a time to turn inward, and reflect on the season presently in the spotlight. Fire sign Leo is highly creative, so this is a wild time to wish upon a star, which also happens to be Leo’s ruler. New Moons give you the opportunity for a fresh start – don’t be afraid to try something totally new! Leos are natural storytellers and thespians. Because they so easily create, entertaining us with warmth, generosity of spirit, and their unparalleled enthusiasm – you can’t extinguish their flame!
Moon Phases August 2021 – Full Moon in Aquarius – August 22nd!
Aquarius is an air zodiac sign known for being independent, unique, and a humanitarian. An Aquarius sign is generally a deep thinker who loves to help people, who can easily adapt to any situation, and who feels generally positive about change. An Aquarius person is always searching for an absolute truth. During this Full Moon, you’ll likely find yourself on your own search for the truth as you gain a slightly different perspective. This Full Moon is a good time to go after what you want and have been thinking about achieving. A Full Moon in Aquarius is the best time to wrap things up and to start to move on to something new.
Moon Phases – August 2021 – An Astrological Blue Moon!
An astrological Blue Moon amplifies the effect that its respective zodiac phase has. The Blue Moon on Aug. 22nd will exaggerate the characteristics of Leo, the fire sign represented by the lion, which can cause you to become more creative, dramatic, and passionate than usual. An astrological Blue Moon also magnifies the energy of whatever sign the Moon is passing through, which, on Aug. 22, 2021, will be Aquarius. Since a Full Moon is symbolic of culmination, completion, and fruition, a Blue Moon in Aquarius will be one impressing your inner worlds with individuality, rebellion, and a concern for the world at large.
The Full Moon in August has Many Names!
The Full Moon in August was known by early Native American tribes as the Sturgeon Moon because the large sturgeon fish of the Great Lakes and other major lakes were more easily caught at this time of year. The Green Corn Moon, the Grain Moon and the Fruit Moon, are also names of the August Full Moon as they are all inspired by various crops that can be harvested in August. The Green Corn Ceremony was typically held in late June or early July, and the Mature Green Corn Ceremony would take place 45 days later, according to Cherokee.org. Europeans called this Full Moon, as the end of Summer approaches, the Barley Moon, for the harvesting and threshing of the barley. This is a good month to focus on your spiritual and physical health. It’s the time to harvest what you can now to put aside for later use.
Full Moon of August 2021 – Also Known as the Fruit Moon!
This Moon is known as the Fruit Moon because this is the time of year when the apples, plums, peaches, grapes and berries are at their ripest and heavy with juice. Just as the fruit turns to it’s most saturated hue so will the sky begin to arrest us with displays of opulent color, signaling the days turning shorter. Even as we enjoy nature’s visual display coupled with a perfectly ripe piece of fruit in the warm summer night, other perfectly ripe fruit is falling onto the ground uneaten and beginning to decay, representing the many stages of life.
A Time to Connect with what Brings You Joy!
During this Full Moon of August, take the advice of Native Americans and connect with what brings you joy and share that with others. Don’t overthink. Just find pleasure in your ability to be you. Your focus will be to balance your mind and body through creativity, through play, and through movement. The Full Moon represents our emotional body and subconscious… the part of us that we typically keep hidden or buried under our social personality. During the time of a Full Moon, all of that comes to the surface, asking to be seen. This is why we feel extra emotional, or as some say, the crazy comes out.
The Energy of August’s Full Moon!
The energy of the Full Moon is heightened at this time, and emotions, feelings, mental processes, dreams etc. are all amplified. When the Sun and Moon oppose each other during a Full Moon, it can cause tension and awkward friction, but at the same time, bring a greater expansion of visions and potential possibilities. This is a compelling time of gratitude, gracefully acknowledging the beauty of life itself, and all you have brought into existence.
A Time for Gaining Perspective!
Once you start looking up and observing the Full Moon, you’ll want to get outside more to get a better view. This is a wonderful time to enjoy the fresh air and gain perspective. Remember how tiny you are—how your small, significant life is connected to all others. Recite the words to that ancient lullaby: “I see the Moon and the Moon sees me, God bless the Moon and God bless me.”

July 9th 2021 New Moon in Cancer, July 23rd 2021 Full Moon in Aquarius!
Moon Phases July 2021 – A Full Moon in Aquarius will ignite the night on July 23, 2021. The power of this Full Moon will begin to arrive two days prior and will linger for four days after. This Full Moon resonates in the zodiac sign of Aquarius, encouraging you to be independent and embrace the authentic vision you have for your life. Make a point to send peaceful energy to the places in the world experiencing strife, hardship, poverty and war. It has huge benefits for them and as a bonus, you create loads of good Karma.
Moon Phases July 2021 – July 9 New Moon in Cancer!
July 9th brings a New Moon in Cancer. This will prove to be an intense lunation that encourages us to stay close to home and focus on self-care rather than new beginnings. While Full Moons bring energy and vibrance, New Moons are a time to consider the blessings of the previous Moon cycle and ponder the potential impact of the incoming one. Let the sweetness of summer wash over you with this New Moon in Cancer—the sign of the fluid, caring (yet protective) crab wants you to relax.
Moon Phases July 2021 – July 23 Full Buck Moon!
July’s Full Moon is called the Full Buck Moon because it’s normally around the time when the new antlers on bucks begin to show. There are lots of animals that can lose and regrow body parts like this, but deer are the only mammals with this trick. And deer do it really well — antlers have one of the fastest re-growing times out of all of these body parts. Today, scientists are interested in learning more about how the process works in hopes of applying those techniques to human medicine in the future.
July’s Full Moon is also known as the “Thunder Moon,” thanks to all the storms that roll through, or as the Sturgeon Moon on the Great Lakes when those fish are easiest to catch, and are not the only names for this Moon. Other tribes and early colonists referred to the Full Moon in July as the “Hay Moon.” The “Hay Moon” was a signal to farmers to start storing their hay for winter. It has also been called the Blueberry Moon.
Moon Phases July 2021 – This Full Moon Casts an Exuberant Vibe!
This Full Moon is going to bring about interesting encounters in your personal life, as well as fun and stimulating events. The Full Moon of July often casts an exuberant vibe, making it a great time to have a party. Candlelight and dramatic bouquets add a touch of transformational magic to your entertaining. Dinner gatherings are a way of celebrating family, coworkers, friends and foods that have traditional meaning. This also opens the door for meaningful people to step into your life. But there is a dark side to this Moon.
Moon Phases July 2021 – The Dark Side of a Full Moon!
A Full Moon has exciting energy, but there is also a dark side we must deal with. Some astrologists believe this July Full Moon can be a dangerous one. According to Astrology King, the position of the Moon directly opposite of the Sun and Mars “creates such intensely hot energy that it will be difficult to control.” Incoming and outgoing energies must match. You can’t expect to receive great energy if the one you give off is terrible. Act on principle. Even if someone has done something wrong to you, don’t retaliate. Let Karma address it.
Moon Phases July 2021 – Good Karma Brings Good Energy!
To forgive is to detach from the anger, bitterness, and frustration you harbor internally. Every person is fighting his or her own battles with Karma energy. The sooner we identify the sources of our unsettled Karma and take action to resolve it, the sooner we experience the miracle of liberation. Do good, even when you’re not expected to. When in doubt, act in ways you would want others to act toward you. The Full Moon is the time to stay calm, let things go, breathe deeply through difficult moments and forgive others for their mistakes.
Moon Phases July 2021 – Understanding our Emotions!
Once we’ve learned to understand our emotions, we need to learn what to do with them. Understanding our emotions may lead us to have healthy conversations with loved ones. If we’ve buried our emotions for a long time, it can be very painful to face them. Often it can seem like things are getting worse before we learn to deal with how we feel. Don’t give up before you receive the healing benefits of getting more in tune with yourself! Look to meditation to help in the healing process.

June 2021 Solar Eclipse and Summer Solstice and other astrological events!June 2021 brings many exciting Celestial events! June’s Full Moon in Capricorn traditionally is known as the Full Strawberry Moon as it comes at the time of year when wild strawberries are ripe. We will also experience June’s Summer Solstice!
June 2021 Solar Eclipse and Summer Solstice!
People in northern Canada, parts of Greenland, and northeastern parts of Russia will be treated to the “ring of fire” that annular solar eclipses are famous for, as the New Moon covers only the Sun’s center. As opposed to a total eclipse when the moon completely obscures the sun’s rays. In an annular eclipse, a circle of the sun’s light—or a “ring of fire”—surrounds the moon’s shadow. The annular solar eclipse on June 10 is the perfect opportunity to photograph a moment that rarely happens. The next one will be on October 14, 2023.
June 2021 Solar Eclipse and Summer Solstice – Relationship Difficulties during a Solar Eclipse !
There are reports of increased agitation, unusual dreams, sudden bursts of creativity, and even relationship difficulties during a solar eclipse. There is a definite change in the vibration and frequency of energies on Earth. Seeing as we are all connected and part of these vibrational frequencies, it is likely that we are also going to feel this. Your balance may be affected, or you may feel out of sorts, you may also feel extra sensitive to the energies and emotions of those around you.
This solstice is the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, where it is the longest day of the year. In the Southern Hemisphere, it’s the Winter Solstice and the shortest day of the year. Solstices happen twice a year – in June and December. The June Solstice happens around June 21, when the Sun is directly overhead the Tropic of Cancer. The December solstice takes place around December 21. On this day, the Sun is precisely over the Tropic of Capricorn.
A Solstice Brings the Power of Love !
If you want to live consciously and tap into the solstice energies, promise yourself that over the coming three months, you will pay better attention to how well you are communicating. That means when you’re talking or writing, largely, but also think about non-verbal communication signals you’re sending out (think; crossed arms and eye rolls). This Solstice is known to bring the power of love. Love comes in many forms, and the world could use a lot of it right now. Use this time to become a helper, an encouraging voice and a supportive friend.
June 24 – Strawberry Full Moon !
June’s Full Moon is often called the Strawberry Full Moon, after the berries that grow in the Northern Hemisphere around this time of the year. Also, the Mead Moon and Honey Moon are old European names for June’s Full Moon, and some believe that it may be related to why the first month of marriage is called the honeymoon, since at least the 1500’s. This may be because of the practice of getting married in the month of June, or because June’s Honey Moon is considered as the “Sweetest Moon of the Year,” possibly due to the honey being ripe and ready for harvest at the end of the month.
Full Moons Expose the Good, Bad and Ugly !
Full Moons are celestial flashlights. They expose the good, the bad, and the ugly. Major information, especially pertaining to work and professional aspirations, will be revealed during this upcoming Strawberry Moon, so the best way to prepare is to keep an open mind and heart. Whether you’ve been hiding from some uncomfortable situations in your relationship, or you’ve been doubting yourself when it comes to making major career choices, the Strawberry Moon will show you exactly what’s going on with you, if you are open to it.
The Full Moon’s Spirit of Love !
This month’s Full Moon is traditionally a time of wonder, in which people are encouraged to care for themselves, seek beauty in their surroundings, and, most importantly, incite positive changes in their lives. This is a difficult time for all of us. Try to manifest within your heart and soul the spirit of Love and Light and send it out to the world that is filled with great darkness. Even the tiniest candle can light the darkest room. Let’s all do our part to make this a better, more accepting, world.

Full Moon May 2021 – May, 2021, features a Full Flower Moon, which is also a Super Moon, and the first Eclipse of the year. May also has the beginnings of two important retrogrades, Saturn and Mercury.
Full Moon May 2021 – May 26 – Full Flower Moon !
May 26 – Full Moon, Super Moon. The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be fully illuminated. This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Flower Moon because this was the time of year when spring flowers appeared in abundance. This Moon has also been known as the Corn Planting Moon and the Milk Moon. This is also the second of three Super Moons for 2021.
Full Moon May 2021 – May 26 – Full Super Moon !
The upcoming Full Moon is also a Super Moon, bringing transformation and pushing us to prioritize protecting a sense of self-love and self-worth. Meditation is a powerful way to quiet the mind and bring your energy back inwards. Taking time for a guided meditation or even light physical activity, like yoga or walking can also be beneficial during the Full Moon. Focus on self-love and self-worth by taking time to light candles, draw a cleansing salt bath, and use the Full Moon’s energy to reconnect with your physical body and spirit.
The Year’s First Eclipse On May 26 The May 2021 Full Moon takes place in the fiery and free-spirited sign of Sagittarius, and it also marks the first eclipse of the year. That means we can expect explosive feelings and major course corrections. A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes completely through the Earth’s dark shadow, or umbra. During this type of eclipse, the Moon will gradually get darker and then take on a rusty or blood red color.
Full Moon May 2021 – Eclipses in Astrology !
Being powerful forces that mix the past, with the present and the future, overshadows open and close doors, bringing surprising endings, beginnings, and fated events. Eclipses in astrology always bring sudden shocks and revelations, so this lunation is likely to inspire a totally new sense of direction and purpose for all zodiac signs. We will want to embrace Sagittarius’ optimistic and adventure-loving vibe as we navigate the eclipse-induced changes and focus on seeing the big-picture when examining our goals.
Full Moon May 2021 – Saturn Retrograde !
Saturn is the planet of rules and restrictions, and on May 23, Saturn retrograde 2021 kicks off in the rebellious sign of Aquarius. During its backspin, which lasts through October 10, Saturn asks us to re-evaluate our boundaries and examine the rules we’re forced to operate under. Saturn’s tough-love approach in astrology is all about teaching us life lessons and maturity, so this retrograde is a time for reflecting on our responsibilities. It might feel like a heavy cosmic burden, but it’ll ultimately help us grow.
Full Moon May 2021 – May 29 – Mercury Retrograde !
We wrapped up April with Pluto Retrograde 2021, but the last week of May has an even more explosive finale, as it brings both Saturn retrograde and Mercury retrograde. Three times a year, the planet Mercury appears to travel backward across the sky. We refer to these periods as times when Mercury is in apparent retrograde motion, or simply ”Mercury Retrograde.” Some blame Mercury retrograde for all chaos that happens in their lives. This is a good time to sit back and review what you put your energy towards. Take a moment to reflect. Mercury retrograde can be an excellent time to take a step back and reanalyze who you are and what you are doing.
Mercury Retrograde – Rules Communication !
On May 29, Mercury Retrograde – Spring 2021 begins, marking the second Mercurial backspin of the year. Mercury is the planet that rules communication, thinking, timing, and scheduling, so its pesky retrogrades can really throw off our day-to-day equilibrium. You already know the Mercury retrograde drill: Expect typos, tech troubles, and missed appointments galore. You’ll want to double check your texts and think through your words before firing off — especially given that this retrograde takes place in Gemini, one of the zodiac signs ruled by Mercury itself.
Full Moon May 2021 – The Power of our Minds !
When we want to attract something particular into our lives we can use the knowledge of the law of attraction and the power of our minds to attract that thing – purely by making it our vibrational focus. We have to first understand that everything happens at the time it should, no sooner and no later. Start with this affirmation: “Thank you, Universe and guides of the highest truth and compassion. I am ready to feel free. I welcome a newfound faith.” Say the prayer out loud and take a moment to settle into the feelings of what it means to surrender to faith in the Universe. Manifesting is the creative process of aligning with the energy of the Universe to co-create an experience that elevates your spirit and the spirit of the world. Manifesting isn’t about getting; it’s about becoming. The more you let go, the more you become a match for what you desire.

Double points if you’d created it yourself! She’ll also be a bit of a social butterfly, so a spangly clutch bag for when she’s once more hitting the town with the gals will be a glorious gift. Splattered in shades of blue—a Libra-favorite color—makes a handcrafted terracotta vase a striking centerpiece for a wonderful gift.
SCORPIO – Mother’s Day Sunday May 9 2021
The Scorpio Mom would love a bottle of limited edition gin or her favorite red or white wine. They will not only look great on the home bar-cart, but will be much appreciated at 5pm! This travel-loving Sagittarius Mom loves to travel, so a glossy coffee table book of stunning travel photography will appease her wanderlust, while waiting for her next adventure. She’ll be bowled over if you make a photo album of the times you’ve been away together – especially if you accompany it with a promise you’ll head off again when holidays are allowed! A Sagittarius Mom is always on the go, so help her stay hydrated along the way with a cheery terrazzo water bottle.
CAPRICORN – Mother’s Day Sunday May 9 2021
Plants and rocks are the way to keep this Capricorn Mother smiling! A bouquet of flowers, a jazzy new fern or a piece of sparkly jewelry with a pretty gemstone is the way to go. AQUARIUS – Mother’s Day Sunday May 9 2021
The socially-conscious Aquarius Mom will love anything with an ethical-factor: a chocolate bar that gives money back to local communities, or a woven shawl or bag that gives a percentage of profit to charity will be a fabulous gift. These Moms tend to have a love of feathered friends, so if she’s yet to install a bird feeder or water fountain in the garden then surprise her with an ornithological addition! Take your Aquarius-Mom to the opening of an art gallery or for a beer-tasting at a local brewery.
PISCES – Mother’s Day Sunday May 9 2021
A Piscean Mom loves to relax in a bubble bath so receiving some heavenly-scented bath bombs or even a luxurious bathrobe and slippers will be a treat for her. A book of poetry or a special playlist of all her favorite tunes are also winners, as is the promise of tickets to the theater when they open up again! Pisces like their decor the same way they prefer life—laid back. A beautifully handcrafted clay vase with willow cases is pure chill.

April 22 2021 Lyrids Meteor Shower, at pre-dawn, the Lyrids Meteor Shower will peak. The Lyrid meteor shower runs annually, and this year will run from April 16-25, peaking on the night of April 22 and the morning of April 23. The best time to watch is between midnight and dawn and, with fingers crossed for a cloud-free sky, it should be quite a spectacular show.
April 22 2021 Lyrids Meteor Shower!
The radiant of the Lyrids Meteor Shower is located in the constellation Lyra, near its brightest star, Vega. The peak of the shower is typically around April 22 each year. You don’t need to identify Vega or Lyra in order to watch the Lyrids Meteor Shower. The meteors radiate from there, but will appear unexpectedly, in any and all parts of the sky. The Lyrids can produce up to 18 meteors per hour at the peak, with occasional fireballs. Most of the meteors will appear between midnight and dawn on Thursday, with a reasonable number of meteors on the mornings before and after, too.
April 22 2021 Lyrids Meteor Shower – Shooting Stars!
The word “star” in “shooting star” or “falling star” is actually not totally accurate. Technically, it’s not the star that “shoots,” but a burning bit of rock and dust that shine in the dark sky. When meteors fall, they burn and accelerate towards the earth, thus being called shooting stars. The chances of seeing at least one shooting star during the Lyrids Meteor Shower, in a given hour between midnight and sunrise is 84%.
April 22 2021 Lyrids Meteor Shower – In the Night Sky!
While meteor showers usually radiate from a particular direction, they can hit the atmosphere anywhere, so look for them all over the night sky. They are best viewed away from town, where there is minimal light. When meteorites do hit the ground, their speed is roughly half what it was upon entry, and they blast out craters 12 to 20 times their size. Craters on Earth form much as they would on the Moon or any rocky planet. Smaller objects create bowl-shaped craters.
Is it Good Luck to see a shooting star? Although it’s a superstition, some people believe that seeing a shooting star is the symbol of Good Luck. A shooting star is said to possess a certain type of magic, one that grants you good luck and positive energy flow in your life. Legend also says that anyone who is lucky enough to witness a shooting star should make a wish!
April 22 2021 Lyrids Meteor Shower – The Magic and the Money!
Given the magic associated with shooting stars, it’s no surprise that there’s more than one superstition linked to them. While many cultures suggest that gazing upon these stars brings good luck, some believe you can use shooting stars for more precise purposes. Worried about your empty wallet? Park yourself outside on a starry night and wait for a fallen star. If you say the word “money” three times before the star burns out, you’ll soon be on your way out of poverty. [source: Webster]
The Magic and Superstitions!
Even stationary stars can boost your luck, at least according to folklore. In particular, the first star that shines in the night sky each evening possesses special magic. In England and some other parts of the world, setting your gaze on the first star that appears after dark and making a wish is enough to win your heart’s desire. In other cultures, you must recite a particular nursery rhyme or poem as you silently focus on your wish. This superstition is associated with the “Star Light, Star Bright” nursery rhyme popular among children and parents. [Source: Webster]
April 22 2021 Lyrids Meteor Shower – Looking for Love?
It’s well established that attempting to count the stars can be unlucky, but one superstition holds that it’s OK to count under very specific circumstances. According to folklore, only an unmarried person looking for love can keep a tally. Even in this case, the unmarried person can count a maximum of seven stars on seven consecutive nights. If you do this, the first person of your preferred sex that you shake hands with on the eighth day is the one you’ll marry.
Lyrids Meteor Shower and Gifts from Heaven!
The spiritual meaning behind meteor showers started in ancient times. Objects or lights in the sky were associated with Gods or had a religious meaning. Specifically, seeing a meteor suggested that a gift was given by heaven. It often represented a mystery coming from some incredible force larger than ourselves, the cosmos. A meteor represented awareness of recognition of something beyond our present experience. Some see it as a soul or spirit. Whatever one imagines it as, tends to become their reality.

April 27 2021 – Full Moon in Scorpio – This Full Moon in Scorpio rises on the night of Monday, April 26th, and will be in full view on the night of Tuesday, April 27th. It is also known as a Super Moon and a Pink Moon. This spectacular Super Moon will be about 7% larger and 15% brighter than a regular Full Moon.
April 27 2021 – Full Moon – Super Moon!
April’s Full Moon will be in Scorpio, and will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun. Its face will be fully illuminated. Earth’s oceans feel the extra pull of Super Moons (Full Moons near perigee – when the Moon is the closest to the Earth.) All Full Moons combine with the Sun to create larger-than-usual tides, called spring tides. Super Moons elevate the tides even more. These extra-high spring tides are wide ranging. High tides climb up especially high, and, on the same day, low tides plunge especially low. Experts call these perigean spring tides, in honor of the Moon’s nearness.
April 27 2021 – Full Moon in Scorpio – Full Pink Moon!
This Full Moon was first known by early Native American tribes as the Full Pink Moon because it marked the appearance of the moss pink, or wild ground phlox, which is one of the first spring flowers. The Super Pink Moon is the first of a series of three consecutive Super Moons this year. Look up for the next ones on May 26 and June 24.
April 27 2021 – Full Moon in Scorpio – Full Fish Moon!
This Moon has also been known as the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Growing Moon, and the Egg Moon. Many coastal tribes called it the Full Fish Moon because this was the time that the shad swam upstream to spawn. There were four Super Moons for 2020 and only three this year. This Moon will be at its closest approach to the Earth and may look slightly larger and brighter than usual.
April 27 2021 – Full Moon in Scorpio – Roman Moon Goddess Luna!
That a Full Moon can make us a bit loony is one of the most prevalent and hard to shake beliefs. The words “lunacy” and “lunatic” stem from the word “Luna” — the name of the ancient Roman Moon Goddess. She had three aspects: Diana in the heavens, Luna on Earth, and Hecate, in the underworld. As the patron of femininity, she was known to have the power to ease childbirth, to inspire love, to mask reality, and to pierce illusion. Mythology also states that she has powers surrounding dreams and intuition, harnessing the ability to awaken intuition and to catalyze psychic visions.
A Time of Greater Self-Awareness!
A Full Moon in Scorpio is a time when you’ll look within yourself to truly understand the depths of your feelings. This period of introspection could lead to greater self-awareness as well as an awareness of those around you. The ability to get in touch with the intricacy of your own emotions gives you the insight needed to understand others’ motivations. Don’t be surprised if you have a few light bulb moments during this time. Fights and upsets during the Scorpio Full Moon create the opportunity for positive breakthroughs by eliminating bad habits (or people) from your life.
April 27 2021 – Full Moon in Scorpio – There is a Connection to our Emotional Selves!
The Moon is connected to our emotional selves. Many of the Full Moon effects on human behavior and emotions are hidden deeply within our subconscious. So when the Moon is full, it emits energy that greatly affects us all personally as well as collectively. Some of these feelings are subtle while others are drastic, and that is why you see many acting out of character. When there’s a Full Moon, sometimes referred to as a lover’s moon by poets, people dating or in relationships may feel more romantic and drawn to their partners. However, that loving feeling may not last too long. Since the Moon can make some people more emotional, a trivial argument can escalate into a bigger deal than it should be.
April 27 2021 – Full Moon in Scorpio – A Time for Smudging with Sage!
A Full Moon night is an especially potent time for a smudging. Burn a dried sage bundle, keeping a ceramic/fire-safe dish underneath to catch the ashes, and simply waft it around your entire body with a feather. If you feel there is bad energy in your home, smudge the area. Say aloud, “I release all that no longer serves me for my highest good.” There are no hard-and-fast rules when it comes to how often you should sage yourself or your space. We are our best guides when it comes to identifying negative energy, so pay attention to your intuition. If you feel weighed down by stress or worry, it’s usually a good indication that a cleansing is in order.

April 22 and 23 2021 Lyrids Meteor Shower – Viewing a spectacular cosmic phenomenon like a meteor shower can remind you of the grandeur and majesty of the Universe. In the past, many Native Americans have referred to the Lyrids Meteor Shower as “the night the stars fell.”
April 22 and 23 2021 Lyrids Meteor Shower – A Spectacular Cosmic Phenomenon!
The Lyrids is an average shower, usually producing about 20 meteors per hour at its peak. It is produced by dust particles left behind by comet C/1861 G1 Thatcher, which was discovered in 1861. The shower runs annually from April 16-25. It peaks this year on the night of the 22nd and morning of the 23rd. These meteors can sometimes produce bright dust trails that last for several seconds. Best viewing will be from a dark location after midnight. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Lyra, but can appear anywhere in the sky.
The Lyrids – The Strongest Meteor Shower!
The source of the meteor shower are particles of dust shed by the long-period Comet C/1861 G1 Thatcher. The April Lyrids are the strongest annual shower of meteors from debris of a long-period comet, mainly because as far as other intermediate long-period comets go (200–10,000 years), this one has a relatively short orbital period of about 415 years. The Lyrids have been observed and reported since 687 BC; no other modern shower has been recorded as far back in time.
April 22 and 23 2021 Lyrids Meteor Shower – A Time of Reflection and Change!
A meteor shower is a time of reflection and change. The April Lyrids Meteor Shower represents the spiritual insights and wisdom gained from looking deep within the shadows of ourselves and our world. They might be able to ignite our chosen path and guide us through some decisions. Meteor showers also signify the rise of the Phoenix. Something has to end for a new beginning. We rise from the ashes, stronger than before, and wiser in many ways. They also invite us to create new ideas and beliefs. They’re like little bursts of “aha” moments.
April 22 and 23 2021 Lyrids Meteor Shower – Representing our Frozen Emotions!
Meteor showers represent several things. First of all, they’re cosmic dust, debris. They look like beautiful light displays from our perspective, but in reality, they are a type of storm that happens from the breakup of a comet. To understand the astrological significance of a meteor shower, we need to understand the significance of a comet. Comets are made up of ice, dust, and gasses. If we read that symbolically, we might say they represent our frozen emotions and collective fears surfacing for us to see and heal. Anything we have been ignoring or suppressing can no longer be ignored. To the ancients, a comet represented change, like an eclipse – Intense, but I’m into it.
The Lyrids – What is Hidden will be Brought to Light!
This intense phase, when a meteor shower is in full bloom, will stir emotions and memories that can take us closer to our true selves. It will also be a time when things hidden in our unconscious—our fears, self-doubts, insecurities—will be brought to light. The more we accept these and choose to heal ourselves, the more the transformation will be powerful and enlightening.
April 22 and 23 2021 Lyrids Meteor Shower – Lights our Path to Guide Us!
Even today, though science has given us rational explanations for the amazing things we see above, we still can’t help but assign mystical and magical qualities to them. And perhaps for good reason. Many believe that cosmic events, like meteor showers, have a strong effect on us. The Lyrids Meteor Shower is believed to light a path to guide us toward the new direction we are seeking.

April Fools Day 2021 – April 1st is as good a time as ever to turn a frown upside down and lighten the mood. Do it with a brilliantly-executed April fool’s prank!
April Fools Day 2021 Sign – “Honk and Smile!”
Slip a sign reading “Honk and Smile” inside the car of your prank target, or maybe outside on the back bumper. Make sure it’s hidden and out of their view (and not blocking their views at all). All commute long, they’ll wonder why they’re getting beeped at nonstop by drivers who seem more flirty than inconvenienced.
The “Broken” Remote!
This prank takes the “control” out of remote control: Use a teeny sticker or tape to cover over the sensor on the clicker. No matter how hard they try, they won’t be able to make those TV channels budge … even with new batteries.
April Fools Day 2021 – The Drink that isn’t a Drink!
Whip up some Jello and let it set in juice glasses, complete with a straw in each. Serve them up to guests’ surprise: Those “drinks” aren’t liquid at all, and those straws will get them nowhere. Also, what a nice surprise this would make at the family dinner table.
I need to see you “ASAP!”
So simple, but so effective. Write “I need to see you ASAP” on a Post-It note, and then add an illegible signature. Leave it on a coworker’s desk and they’ll go into panic mode as they try to figure out who left the note and what the emergency might be. Are they in trouble?? Don’t let them get too freaked out before revealing that you’re the culprit behind the mystery note or they may never forgive you.
April Fools Day 2021 – A Harmonica and a Front Bumper!
Buy a harmonica and then duct tape it under the front bumper of your victim’s car. They won’t hear anything at first, but they’ll eventually notice an unmistakable wheezing sound coming from (what they believe is) their car’s engine. How long can they ignore it before looking under the hood and trying to figure out what the heck is going on? If they end up taking their car to a mechanic, you may have to split the bill for harmonica removal. But it’ll be worth it for the shared laugh.
April Fools Day 2021 – Scare ’em with Bubble Wrap!
Measure out just enough bubble wrap to hide under the rug of a frequently visited stretch of hallway. Once somebody steps down on it, it’ll make such a bang that they’ll dive for cover.
It’s so easy, it’d be an April Fools’ crime not to use it on somebody. All you have to do is get access to their computer—wait until they’re at lunch or on a bathroom break—and hit Ctrl+Alt+Down Arrow. It instantly flips everything on their PC screen so it’s upside down. (Don’t worry, it’s just as easy to reverse. Just hit Ctrl+Alt+Up Arrow.) For a Mac, go to their System Preferences, open the Displays option and click on the “Rotate” menu.
April Fools Day 2021 – Colorful Tap Water!
Rub some food dye onto the bottom of your faucet to make the tap water colorful and startling at the same time!
The Best Mini-Burgers Ever — Or are they?
Build some adorable one-bite burgers with vanilla wafers, shredded coconut and a couple drizzles of tinted icing. Use a small brush to apply a scant amount of corn syrup on the top of a cookie, then sprinkle sesame seeds over the area to resemble a top bun. Take a small, sharp knife and cut or shave off the pointy top of a chocolate kiss to resemble a hamburger patty. Tint one bag of icing with yellow food coloring and the other with red food coloring to resemble mustard and ketchup. Apply yellow icing to the bottom of a second cookie then place chocolate on top, adhering it to the cookie. Tint the shredded coconut with green food coloring to resemble lettuce. Add red icing to underside of the sesame seed top bun and place some of the coconut on top of the red icing. Place on top of chocolate, icing side down.
We are your Friends here at Secret Serendipity.com!
Real friends are those who, when you’ve made a fool of yourself, don’t feel that you’ve done a permanent job. ~Erwin T. Randall, quoted in – The Reader’s Digest, 1955.
Daylight Savings Time 2021 – Daylight Saving Time (DST) begins on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at 2:00 a.m. On Saturday night, set your clocks forward one hour (i.e., losing one hour) to “spring ahead.” Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 7, 2021, at 2:00 a.m.
For stargazers, the time change, plus the fact that sunset occurs 1 minute later each day near the March Equinox, will mean that dark-sky observing cannot commence until much later in the evening — possibly after the bedtime of junior astronomers. The difference from local time to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), or the astronomers’ Universal Time (UT), will be reduced by one hour when DST is in effect. Daylight Saving Time will end on November 7, 2021.
Daylight Savings Time and Benjamin Franklin!
Benjamin Franklin takes the honor (or the blame, depending on your view of the time changes) for coming up with the idea to reset clocks in the summer months as a way to conserve energy, according to David Prerau, author of “Seize the Daylight: The Curious and Contentious Story of Daylight Saving Time” (Thunder’s Mouth Press, 2005). By moving clocks forward, people could take advantage of the extra evening daylight rather than wasting energy on lighting. At the time, Franklin was ambassador to Paris and so wrote a witty letter to the Journal of Paris in 1784, rejoicing over his “discovery” that the sun provides light as soon as it rises.
Daylight Savings Time’s Official Beginnings!
Even so, DST didn’t officially begin until more than a century later. Germany established DST in May, 1916, as a way to conserve fuel during World War I. The rest of Europe came onboard shortly thereafter. In 1918, the United States also adopted daylight saving time.
Daylight Savings Time 2021 – Side Effects of Time Change!
The tiredness from losing an hour can be disruptive enough in itself, but for some people, springing forward may have much more serious consequences. A Swedish study found that the risk of having a heart attack increases in the first three weekdays after switching to DST in the spring. Tiredness induced by the clock change is thought to be the main cause for the increase in traffic accidents on the Monday following the start of DST. On Mondays after the start of DST there were more workplace injuries, and the injuries were of greater severity compared to other Mondays.
Daylight Savings Time 2021 – Tips to Make the Transition Easier!
Being tired can decrease productivity, concentration, and general well-being. There are some simple ways of making it easier to handle the clock change. Adjust your body clock and wake up a little earlier than usual in the week before springing forward. This makes it easier to get out of bed on Monday morning. Eat a healthy breakfast first thing in the morning. Food tells your body it is the start of the day. Go for a walk in the light. Sunlight and exercise adjusts the body clock. Help children adjust by putting them to bed a little bit earlier the week before the time change.
Daylight Savings Time and Your Sleep Cycle!
Stick to your sleep schedule. Keeping to your regular sleep cycle is important for optimal body performance. Watch the clock and adhere to your usual wake up and sleep times. Getting up earlier or going to bed later on account of extra daylight can confuse the proper functioning of your body.

Age of Aquarius 2021: “In the Age of Aquarius, the power is turning over to the individual, and giving the freedom for you to choose your own reality based on what aligns with your soul.” —Adama Sesay, Astrologer –
Age of Aquarius 2021 – A Power Shift!
The Age of Aquarius follows a similar progressive, forward-thinking, “we versus I” mentality of visionary, rebellious, innovative, and eccentric people. It focuses on humanitarian pursuits of valuing each person’s individuality, holding and taking care of each other as a unit, and also disrupting the system when necessary. It is a time for kindness to others. As Adama Sesay, astrologer and creator of Lilith Astrology, points out, there will be a major shift in power dynamics in this era.
The Age of Aquarius has been associated with the hippies of the 1960s and ’70s, and often within the New Age movement. In both cases, the arrival of the Aquarian age has been associated with harmony and understanding, sympathy and trust abounding. And that brings us to the 1967 smash-hit musical “Hair,” with its opening song Aquarius, by a musical group called the 5th Dimension. The song opened with the lines: “When the Moon is in the Seventh House, and Jupiter aligns with Mars, then peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars. This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius…”
Age of Aquarius 2021 – Saturn & Jupiter!
Boundary-setting Saturn and big-picture Jupiter have spent much of the past year in cardinal earth sign Capricorn, but on December 17 and 19 respectively, they moved into fixed air sign, Aquarius, where they will both remain for much of 2021. It would be a mistake to think about Jupiter and Saturn’s time in Aquarius as what might come to mind when you think of the “Age of Aquarius” — an idyllic, anything-goes, peace and love paradise. Remember: Saturn is the planet of hard work, rules, and boundaries. Jupiter’s tendency to magnify doesn’t guarantee a positive effect; and for all its forward-thinking merits, Aquarian energy is still fixed, which means it could cause people on both sides of heated, communal, big-picture issues to dig their heels in on their beliefs.
Age of Aquarius 2021 – Energy of Change!
The Age of Aquarius is a time of questioning and many people seem to feel a sense of foreboding. The anxiety that many of us feel is related to the energy of change. Change is hard for human beings and it takes us time to adjust. There have been so many technological and spiritual changes in the world. These changes took place at an alarming rate. The Aquarian Age has been dawning upon us and we are already in it. This is a time for all of us to start to question our beliefs and open our minds to the teachings of Christ and the great religions. It is a time to come together as a society and help each other instead of focusing on who is right and wrong and which religion is true or false.
Age of Aquarius – Love to Others!
The Age of Aquarius invites us to elevate our souls through love of our fellow man. From an astrological point of view, two values represented by two opposite signs (and two planetary positions) are the focus of the Age of Aquarius, the Sun in Leo and Uranus in Aquarius. The Sun in Leo invites us to take care of ourselves, love ourselves and fully develop all our talents. Uranus in Aquarius invites us to show unselfishness and love to others. A fair balance is to be reached between one’s aspirations and needs and those of others. In the centuries to come, such fair balance should easily lead us down the path to happiness. The Age of Aquarius invites us to broaden our souls by showing love towards our fellow human beings.
Age of Aquarius 2021- An Exciting Time!
We will see things more clearly this year, but we won’t really feel change until Aquarius moves into Pluto in 2024. This is because Pluto is a planet that changes and transforms, and this will be when structures really crumble; there will be upheaval in society, and finally, we will see real change implemented. Saturn will be in Aquarius for the next two and a half years, so get ready. The next few years are going to be a really exciting time to be alive.
Age of Aquarius 2021 – The Thinkers!
The Aquarian Age will bridge the gap between Personality and Soul, between the physical and non physical worlds and especially between cause and effect! The in-pouring energies of Aquarius are pushing us to wake up to our true task as conscious beings and take up our role as the thinkers of the earth. As more and more souls awaken to this responsibility, things will begin to change for the better here on this beautiful planet we call home.

Today we celebrate this holiday in a positive way by showing affection to our loved ones with friendly exchanges of Valentines. The holiday that began so long ago still remains such a central focus of today’s society. No matter where you find yourself on February 14th, know that there is great love available to you in every moment. There are many different types of love and there is a lot to go around! This day is dedicated to love, so show your appreciation to all the people who mean a lot to you. Studies show that kindness spreads. Give Valentine’s Day cards to those close to you. Treat yourself, you don’t need to wait around for someone else to treat you to something special.
Cosmic Forces on Valentine’s Day, 2021!
By learning to use the wisdom of the planets, that map in the sky involving the location of the Sun, the Moon and the Zodiac signs on a particular day can have a strong and significant effect on different aspects of an individual’s life. By looking at your Astrological Sign for Valentine’s Day, you have a tool for helping you make decisions, but the decisions are yours to make. Our successes and failures go a long way towards determining our level of contentment. Building a good relationship usually involves working with what already exists. Not all relationships are easy ones and some are more complicated than others.
No two days share the identical cosmic forces. Each day is uniquely special and Valentine’s Day is one of the best. Everything is part of a constantly shifting and dynamic relationship with the cycles of the cosmos. Each of the following signs is governed by a planet or planets, whose position on February 14th, provides clues as to how we should best channel these energies to our advantage.
Aries – Valentine’s Day – 2021
Aries men and women see themselves as brave, romantic and dashing. They love the fairy-tale quality of relationships. They are as delighted to receive a gift as they are to give one. They love surprise presents on Valentine’s Day. As the optimistic ones of the Zodiac, they are always looking on the bright side of life. They shine most brightly when their love involves an unconditional giving on their part to one special person. Try starting Valentine’s Day with indoor mini golf and end with a gift basket with everything you need for an evening of cuddling, perfect for the Aries person.
Taurus – Valentine’s Day – 2021
Most people born under this sign are blessed with great looks, strong bodies and fine eyes. They work hard for what they have and tend to preserve and hold on to their assets. Their abundant energy, keen interest in the world around them and charm, tend to draw innumerable friends and lovers. They love practical gifts, maybe interesting office supplies for their desk. With their love of beauty and their great charm and personal magnetism, they also truly enjoy dance, music, sports and the arts. A free museum visit, or a trip to a local aquarium, is the perfect low-stakes activity for the Taurus.
Gemini – Valentine’s Day – 2021

February 27 2021 Full Moon in Virgo! It’s time to strap on snowshoes in the back country, the Snow Moon rises at 3:17 a.m. Eastern time. This month’s Full Moon is also called the Storm Moon and the Hunger Moon.
February 27 2021 Full Moon – The Snow Moon!
The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be fully illuminated. This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Snow Moon because the heaviest snow usually fell during this time of the year. Since hunting is difficult, this moon has also been known by some tribes as the Hunger Moon, since the harsh weather made hunting difficult.
February 27 2021 Full Moon – The Hunger Moon!
While some Native American tribes named this the Hunger Moon, others called it the Storm Moon. Some tribes referred to this Full Moon as the Full Hunger Moon. The late winter lunar cycle was called the Hunger Moon by many different peoples in many different languages, and always for the same reason. When you depend on the land where you live for food, and the land has been frozen for months, you are likely to be hungry. The Hunger Moon falls at the end of winter when game is scarce and predators are particularly hungry.
The power of this Full Moon pushes us aside and gets the ego out of the way, whether we like it or not, so that the Universe can do its part. But only for 48 hours. We build it here, and the Universe supplies the energy. But if we get in the way, well then the energy has nowhere to go and we wonder why we aren’t healthy, wealthy, happy or advancing. This day has a generally confident vibe to work with, reminding us that the key to creating our own luck, in most cases, is our ability to believe we are worth it and that we are ready for it. Believe in yourself!
February 27 2021 – Full Moon and High Tides!
During a Full Moon, ocean tides are higher than usual from an increase in the gravitational pull from the Moon and Sun. Considering that the body is 80% water, scientist and astrologers have often thought that similar effects happen in the body creating almost a “human tidal pull” that can affect brain function. Also, the Full Moon’s light is being shed on the dark parts of you, and when you allow yourself to open up, you make space for deep healing.
February 27 2021 Full Moon – Poor Sleep Quality!
A recent study, conducted under the highly-controlled conditions of a sleep laboratory during the Full Moon, found that people took five minutes longer to fall asleep on average, and slept for 20 minutes less overall, compared to during the rest of the month! The Full Moon disrupts the deepest phase of sleep, the REM phase, as the cosmic night light can cause poor sleep quality. Coupled with the potential for increased energy and restlessness, it may make sleeping during a Full Moon extra difficult.
February 27 2021 Full Moon – Great Time to Moon Bathe!
The Full Moon is a great time to ‘Moon Bathe’ and this can be done inside or out. Take a few minutes to sit under the light of the Moon and Meditate. Before you meditate, write down any thoughts, feelings or actions that you are releasing during this lunar cycle. Then, in a fireplace or clay pot, safely burn the paper on which you wrote. Actively let go of that which no longer serves Then, as you breathe-in, allow the Moon to warm your heart. We are often so busy taking in the energy of world around us that we forget to take in the energy of the world that lies within us. This is a time when you dive more deeply into what makes you YOU, as you cultivate clarity, vitality, and balance for your whole being.
Time for Reflection!
If nothing else, utilize this Full Moon as an excuse to make time for yourself and to reflect upon the vibes you emanate to the rest of the world. The Full Moon is a time of celebrating the ease in your life so that you can become clear on what is not in alignment and recognize what needs to be released in the next phase. The Full Moon is also a time to be quiet, to find your peace, to let go of some things. Take a deep breath and forgive others who did you wrong. You are actually doing it for yourself. Be kind, and you will always have peace.

On January 28th, this Full Moon will be visible throughout the night sky, rising at sunset in the east and setting with the sunrise the next morning.
January 28 2021 Full Moon – A Sign of Intention!
Located in Leo, this Full Moon will be a time that is known for its playfulness, drama, bold emotions and loyalty. You may find yourself instinctively going after your passions. Drawing attention to yourself becomes so important, that is difficult to notice the others need to attract attention, too, so be more aware. January 28 2021 Full Moon – Full Wolf Moon!
January’s Full Moon is called the Wolf Moon. Wolves howl to communicate over long distances both in North America and in Europe. It is a way of saying “here I am” to the rest of the pack or “stay away” to intruders. While an average howl from a single wolf lasts from 3 to 7 seconds, a chorus by a pack can last from 30 to 120 seconds and longer during the breeding season in February. So wolves are particularly loud and vocal in the first months of the year, which is probably why people associated the month of January with howling wolves. Wolves howl in the direction of the Moon. They point their faces toward the sky for better acoustics, because projecting their howl upward carries the sound farther.
January’s Full Moon is also referred to as the Moon After Yule. Old Almanacs in England used a series of poetic names to refer to each Moon of each month, and of the entire year. This began with the “Moon after Yule”, the name given to the first Full Moon after the winter solstice, and finished with the “Moon before Yule”, the last Full Moon before the following winter solstice. The Full Moon after Yule brings a rejoicing that, even in the darkest time, the sun is not vanquished. Sol Invictus — the Unconquered Sun — is seen once again, staining the horizon with the promise of hope and brilliance.
The Cold of Winter brings the “Old Moon!”
The Full Moon of January is known to some as the Old Moon as it is seen amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter as the wolf packs howled hungrily outside of villages. This Full Moon is also known as the Moon’s “ashen glow” or “the old Moon in the new Moon’s arms.” It is where the gibbous part of the Moon is illuminated slightly by Earth-shine, the reflected sunlit from the Earth. Thus, the bright crescent New Moon wraps around and “holds in its arms” its dim gibbous part, also known as the Old Moon.
January’s Full Moon Brings a Time to Take Stock!
The Ice Moon and Snow Moon are other names of this January Full Moon. It is believed by some tribes that the the light of the Full Moon of January can heat the upper atmosphere and evaporate cloud moisture that would ordinarily trap heat escaping from earth, thus facilitating radiational cooling that could lead to Winter’s ice, snow and frost. This Full Moon’s symbols remind us that the colder months are a perfect time to take stock of the challenges we face and what might be keeping us from reaching what we want. Following January’s Full Moon is the Full Moon of February, bringing Clarity and Balance!
The Great Spirit Moon of January!
The Great Spirit Moon of January has several origins. The Anishnaabe tribes of what is now known as the Great Lakes region, called January’s Full Moon – the Great Spirit Moon. The Great Spirit Moon occurred during the dead of winter when food was scarce, and the Anishnaabe dedicated this Full Moon to the Great Spirit, their principal Deity. It is cold, dark and unequivocally wintertime.
January 28 2021 Full Moon – A Time to Bring Light into Your Life!
The reduced light, warmth, and color of winter, leaves lots of people feeling a little more melancholy and tired. If the winter blues are about lack of daylight, it’s no surprise that treatment usually involves getting more light into your life. If you feel low in winter, get outside as often as you can, especially on bright days. Sitting by a window can also help. But being around other people to share a meal, a laugh, and a little love is a super important part of feeling positive and connected through the darker months of the year.
January 28 2021 Full Moon – Scented Candles and Baking Cookies!

Bake those cookies or light the candles! Whatever you plan, get out and about, enjoy your life, your family and your friends, as we are all waiting for sunnier days to come.

Coronavirus and Astrology – Changing Bad Karma To Good

Coronavirus and Astrology / Karma – Bringing Happiness
By seeking to do the right thing in any given situation, we, as well as those around us, will become conditioned for peace and happiness in a very real and concrete sense. Likewise, through negative actions we condition ourselves, as well as those around us, for suffering now and in the future. You can’t control the behavior of others, but your reactions and actions will dictate your path. Understand that the way you treat people is a reflection of how you feel about yourself.
Coronavirus and Astrology – Karma and Others
It’s not just that God said we should love one another. He also created the universe in such a way that, in time, we are sure to learn to do just that. If everything we do has a consequence, if everything we do comes back to us, then surely we will come in time to learn that it is ultimately in our own best interests to put out only what we would want to get back. ~ Marianne Williamson ~
Karma is the result of our own past actions and our own present doings. We ourselves are responsible for our own happiness and misery. We create our own Heaven. We create our own Hell. We are the architects of our own fate.
Situations seem to happen to people, but in reality, they unfold from deeper karmic causes. The universe unfolds to itself, bringing to bear any cause that needs to be included. Don’t take this process personally. The working out of cause and effect is eternal. You are part of this rising and falling that never ends, and only by riding the wave can you ensure that the waves don’t drown you. The ego takes everything personally, leaving no room for higher guidance or purpose. If you can, realize that a cosmic plan is unfolding and appreciate the incredibly woven tapestry for what it is, a design of unparalleled marvel. ― Deepak Chopra, The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of Your Life.
Coronavirus and Astrology – Being Compassionate
Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant with the weak and wrong. Sometime in your life, you will have been all of these. ~ Siddhartha Gautama
Always treat others the way you would like to be treated. The way you act is a reflection on yourself.Your words or actions can last forever on others. Sometimes it doesn’t feel permanent to you, but to the other person, it could be everlasting. Treat others well, and Karma will take care of the rest.
We all need help. Some of us need more than others. When you do what you can to help someone who needs it, it connects you with another person, at least for a moment, if not for life. When you show kindness, that kindness is passed on, it can multiply and multiply. A simple little thing like a smile can put a smile and warm feeling in someone else’s heart, and make their day a little better. Offer a hug or a helping hand to someone who is sad. It will make you feel good to be compassionate. When we care for or help others while expecting nothing in return, we feel happy to have helped. Compassionate living is not an act of kindness, it is a way of life.
Coronavirus and Astrology – Auras from Negative to Positive
We all have an Aura! Our Aura reflects our current condition. People who are sick or emotionally upset have weak, shadowy Auras, while healthy, happy people have Auras that are strong and bright. To have a strong positive Aura means you have a strong healthy body, well-balanced, psychological and emotional health, and a spiritual maturity and strength. A weak or negative Aura indicates physical illness or disease, conflicted emotions, unresolved psychological issues, any/or limited spiritual development.
The human Aura is both an energy field and a reflection of the subtle life energies within the body. These energies make us what we are, and in turn, are affected by our surroundings and life style. The Aura reflects our health, character, mental activity and emotional state. It may also show disease, often long before the onset of symptoms.
The color of the Aura is impacted by health—both physical and mental—what we are experiencing in the moment, and how we “run” our energy most of the time. Drug use, trauma, prayer, and healing work can all change the substance of the Aura for better or worse. What we spend our time thinking about, viewing, doing, and believing, all have an impact on the quality of our Aura.
When people realize that their Aura is on display and many people are able to see it, they will watch what they think. And they will try to see and improve their own Aura. In the process they will become better and wiser, being able to recognize intentions of other people.
Practice Forgiveness. Not only letting go of the pain in your past but forgiving the person who caused it, can clear the negative energy from your Aura. Instead of focusing on your wounded feelings, and thereby giving power over you to the person who caused you pain, look for the love, beauty, and kindness around you.
Be aware. Recognize when the emotions that you feel belong to someone else. If your spouse is angry, identify that emotion and acknowledge it, but remind yourself that it is their anger, not yours. When someone is trying to bring you down, it’s more a reflection of them as a person, and their relationship with themselves, than of your worth.
Have a shower in the morning and imagine the water washing away all of your negative energy down the drain, and the water filing you with white light and love. Drinking at least one large glass of water upon waking up will help a lot, too. Water is naturally grounding.
