June 18, 2020 – Mercury Retrograde in Cancer

Posted on June 1, 2020August 31, 2020 by Lunar Princess

June 18 2020 Mercury Retrograde – Three times a year, it appears as if Mercury is traveling backwards. We refer to these periods as times when Mercury is in retrograde motion, or simply “Mercury Retrograde.” These times in particular were traditionally associated with confusion, delay, and frustration.

June 18 2020 Mercury Retrograde in Cancer!

While in Cancer, Mercury has a tendency to make you take everything personally. Funny, pleasant, and positive interactions make you feel awesome, but arguments or even slightly snarky comments make you feel like you’re hitting rock bottom. Cancer usually hides in its shell when there’s conflict, but the crab has some mighty claws that can come out when provoked.

June 18 2020 Mercury Retrograde – and Its Energy!

Mercury is a flexible planet and its energy can be quite immature at times! It is often observed that Mercury has few morals. It’s not immoral, it’s amoral: it seeks understanding and recognizes connections and possibilities without particularly engaging in the rights and wrongs of those possibilities. Unconscious habits may trip you up now so try to be as self-aware as possible, and be willing to accept responsibility for your role in any interpersonal problems that arise.

June 18 2020 Mercury Retrograde – Acts Erratic!

Mercury acts erratic when it goes Retrograde, wherever it is placed. Expect annoyances at home with baking, gardening, and household duties under domesticated Cancer. Complete repair projects that weren’t finished or done correctly. While in Cancer, Mercury Retrograde will take us back to the past and make us focus on our childhoods and roots. We can expect old memories to be revived and emotions could even resurface.

June 18 2020 Mercury Retrograde -Healing!

Mercury enters Cancer’s waters on June 18th, and stays until July 12th. This is an excellent period to reconnect with a member of your family, with whom you haven’t been in touch for a long time or to reconcile with someone dear, by reevaluating the situation that caused conflict. This transit period also relates to the body, so take good care of your health during this transit. If you feel tired, rest. If you feel ill, don’t push through but instead do what your body needs to heal.

Mercury’s Greek God – Hermes!

Mercury is the name given by the ancient Romans to the Greek mythological god, Hermes. Mercury is depicted as a male figure having winged sandals and a winged hat, indicating the ability to travel quickly. He was the official messenger of the ancient gods and goddesses and, as such, governed communications. Mercury was only the messenger of the gods. It wasn’t his job to judge the messages and information that he imparted, only to communicate them.

June 18 2020 Mercury Retrograde – Lavender for Healing!

During this Retrograde, bring out the Essential Oils. Rub a small amount of lavender oil on your pulse points at night. Scent connects and calms the part of our brain that does the stressing out, so using it to keep you calm can be a great strategy. Essential oils are so accessible now. They are highly concentrated, natural extracts from the leaves, flowers, and stems of plants. The most common way to use essential oils is to inhale them, both for their amazing scent and their therapeutic properties. They can also be used in diffusers and humidifiers, and can be diluted with a carrier oil and applied to the skin.

June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon

June 5, 2020, Full Strawberry Moon – with a Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius!

Posted on May 26, 2020August 31, 2020 by Lunar Princess

June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon – This June 5th brings a Full Strawberry Moon that is named after the wild strawberries as they start to ripen. June also brings a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius on the same date.

The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be fully illuminated. This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Strawberry Moon because it signaled the time of year to gather ripening fruit. It also coincides with the peak of the strawberry harvesting season.

June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon- Planting and Strawberry Full Moon!

The Full Moons throughout the year have been given names by various cultures down through the centuries. This Moon has also been known as the Rose Moon, Honey Moon, Mead Moon, Planting Moon and Green Corn Moon. At the time of the June Full Moon, the summer constellations will be in full view all night, but the Moon’s brightness will wash out most fainter stars.

June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon-The Honey Moon!

Mead Moon and Honey Moon are the old European names for June’s Full Moon, and some believe that it may be related to why the first month of marriage is called the honeymoon since at least the 1500’s. This may be because of the practice of getting married in the month of June, or because June’s Honey Moon is considered as the “Sweetest Moon of the Year,” possibly due to the honey being ripe and ready for harvest at the end of the month.

June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon- and the Celtic Calendar!

In many countries with documented ancient Moon traditions, the calendars have since radically changed. In Britain for example, where the original Celtic and Ogham names were generated, the calendar changed from the Julian to Gregorian in 1752 – moving old dates by 10 days – so that old Moon names, still used today – seem sometimes out of kilter with their seasons. The romance of the Moon names is a folk-romance – passed like fairy-tales by word of mouth, and changed to suit the needs and dreams of the peoples, generation by generation.

June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon-The Full Moon’s Spirit of Love!

This month’s Full Moon is traditionally a time of wonder, in which people are encouraged to care for themselves, seek beauty in their surroundings, and, most importantly, incite positive changes in their lives. This is a difficult time for all of us. Try to manifest within your heart and soul the spirit of Love and Light and send it out to the world that is filled with great darkness. Even the tiniest candle can light the darkest room.

June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon- The Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius!

Today is also the Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius. A penumbral lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through the Earth’s partial shadow, or Penumbra. During this type of eclipse the Moon will darken slightly but not completely. The eclipse will be visible throughout most of Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, the Indian Ocean, and Australia.

June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon- The Energy of This Transit!

The energy of this Transit will help you work towards your goals, which is necessary to get stability in your life. You will be concerned about your well being during the transit phase, and that introspection will help bring you a much better attitude about life. You will see a surge in your competitive nature and that will help you with your ability to work past your obstacles and towards your goals. When you embrace the energy of an eclipse, it will shape your life and the effects are most often… Positive!

April 8 2020 Full Moon – April’s Full Moon, Super Moon. This Full Moon, Super Moon will begin late in the night of Tuesday, April 7th, and will be in full bloom, Wednesday, February 8th. This Moon is also known as a Full Pink Moon.

April’s Full Pink Moon!

The Moon is in Libra, and will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun. Its face will be fully illuminated. This Full Moon was first known by early Native American tribes as the Full Pink Moon because it marked the appearance of the moss pink, or wild ground phlox, which is one of the first spring flowers.

April 8 2020 Full Moon – Full Fish Moon – Sprouting Grass Moon – Growing Moon and Egg Moon!

This Moon has also been known as the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Growing Moon, and the Egg Moon. April 8 2020 Full Moon – Lunacy Goddess Luna!

That a Full Moon can make us a bit loony is one of the most prevalent and hard to shake beliefs. The words “lunacy” and “lunatic” stem from the word “Luna” — the name of the ancient Roman Moon Goddess. She had three aspects: Diana in the heavens, Luna on Earth, and Hecate, in the underworld.

April 8 2020 Full Moon – Acting out of Character!

The Moon is connected to our emotional selves. Many of the Full Moon effects on human behavior and emotions are hidden deeply within our subconscious. So when the Moon is full, it emits energy that greatly affects us all personally as well as collectively. Some of these feelings are subtle while others are drastic, and that is why you see many acting out of character.

April 8 2020 Full Moon – Smudging During a Full Moon!

A Full Moon night is an especially potent time for a smudging. Burn a dried sage bundle, keeping a ceramic/fire-safe dish underneath to catch the ashes, and simply waft it around your entire body with a feather. If you feel there is bad energy in your home, Smudge the area. Say aloud, “I release all that no longer serves me for my highest good.”

March 24th New Moon

March 24th: New Moon in Aries!

Posted on February 28, 2020April 11, 2020 by Lunar Princess

March 24th New Moon: The New Moon of March 24th, 2020, is symbolic of the second chances you are given. If everything went wrong by the time of the Full Moon, and you made every mistake you could have possibly made, the New Moon gifts you with a clean slate.

March 24th New Moon: Emotional Phase of This New Moon!

The Moon, the Sun, and Earth are all on the same longitude line, resulting in the Moon’s orbit being invisible from the Earth. However, just because the Moon cannot be physically seen at this time, it does not diminish its power. This phase, the New Moon, can act as catalysts and emotional triggers for us to embark on new relationships, breakups, and makeups.

Second Chances During this New Moon!

The Moon is so powerful, it is responsible for moving oceans, the ocean tides and for the growth of plants, and we as humans are also affected by this powerful energy. During this New Moon Phase, do the best you can to stay positive. Guard against all variety of negativity with your mighty will. If you’re single, New Moons are an ideal time to have (and be admired by) a crush.

March 24th New Moon: Reflecting During a New Moon!

It’s a good idea to spend some time reflecting in the days leading up to the New Moon. Knowing exactly what you want to draw into your life is not always easy. Part of preparing for the New Moon is making sure you are clear about your intentions. Intentions and longings stated out loud or written down on paper, hold power, so please take care in considering those things that you truly want.

New Moon of Aries!

This New Moon in Aries is a great time of the month for energy and drive. Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac, so this sign corresponds to new beginnings. Take the energy and use it to start something new that excites you, that you’re enthusiastic about, and that you’ve been dying to get started with. Aries can be impatient and impulsive. Try to control the energy as best as you can, and channel it into something productive.

March 24th New Moon: Planting Seeds During a New Moon!

From a gardening perspective, the lunar gravity during the New Moon causes water to rise making it an optimal time to plant seeds. Gardening by the Moon is a growing trend, but the technique isn’t anything new. Gardeners and farmers have been using Moon Phase gardening for ages! Seeds will absorb more water during the Full Moon and the New Moon, when more moisture is pulled to the soil surface. This causes seeds to swell, resulting in greater germination and better-established plants.

March 9th 2020 – Lunar Phase of the Full Moon!

The Full Moon is the Lunar phase when the Moon appears fully illuminated from Earth’s perspective. This takes place when Earth is located directly between the Sun and the Moon. (More exactly, the ecliptic longitudes of the Sun and Moon differ by 180°). This means that the lunar hemisphere facing Earth – the near side –appears as a circular disk (being completely sunlit), while the far side is dark.

This Full Moon is also the second Super Moon of 2020. (The first was on February 9th, the third on April 8th, and the fourth and the last on May 7th). The Full Super Moon will be at its closest approach to the Earth and may look slightly larger and brighter than usual. People may react erratically with more road rage and crazy drivers will be everywhere! Full Moons often bring strange weather patterns, and big scandals, too.

March 9th 2020 Full Moon, Super Moon – Full Worm Moon brings Earthworms!

The March Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Worm Moon because this was the time of year when the ground would begin to soften and the earthworms would reappear. Other names for this Full Moon were: Wind Moon, Little Grass Moon, Sore-Eye Moon, Crow Moon, Sap Moon, Lenten Moon, Chaste Moon, Death Moon and Crust Moon.

Full Moon Brings Weird Behavior!

Most of us seem to be particularly weird and different during the Full Super Moon. Children trend to act more outrageous and hyper. People have reported to be more accident prone during this time, and Seniors have reported feeling more disoriented during a Full Super Moon.

March 9th 2020 Full Moon, Super Moon – Super Full Moons Bring Special Energy!

Super Full Moons have a special energy. They can make people feel really restless, as they are releasing old issues from the past that are coming up to the surface in a big way. Be kind to yourself during these transits, because these luminaries are likely to bring up a lot of heavy stuff, and our sensitive souls are going to be feeling it.

Super Full Moon Brings Spiritual Energy!

March 9th 2020 Full Moon, Super Moon – Full Moon Lunacy

From a higher spiritual perspective, during a Super Full Moon, you might have an intuitive feeling that you are getting some kind of ‘upgrade’ in consciousness, or that something is shifting. So stay aware and see how this energy plays in your life.

A Full Moon is considered to be the strongest of the moon’s phases, the one that has the most influence on us.  Scientists claim that the moon has no effect on us.  Many of us who have studied and observed the full moon, believe very differently.  Many believe that the energy of the moon can be tapped into and can affect us all on its own.  The Full Moon of Serendipity occurs in the growing seasons.  It is known for its nurturing properties and protective tendencies.

Full Moon mythology has persisted throughout history.  Even today the myth continues and sometimes appears in the news as law enforcement has linked Full Moons to aggressive behavior.  The positive and negative ions in the atmosphere, which can affect human behavior, are the effects of the Full Moon.   An excess of positive ions produces headaches, dizziness, bad behavior and other detrimental effects in people.  Negative ions are beneficial, and can improve alertness, and general well being.

Could the Full Moon Lunacy be due to “human tidal waves”?  The moon effects the ocean’s tides and humans are largely composed of water, so human tidal waves may cause physical  changes in the body.  This could be the cause of why things get a little weird on the nights of a full moon.  Most people are bewitched by the Full Moon and are convinced it influences the human psyche and the rhythms of nature.  Follow us at www.secretserendipity.com as we take our journey to wellness.

February Astrology: February 9 – 2020 – Full Moon

Posted on January 7, 2020March 19, 2020 by Lunar Princess

Full Moon – Snow Moon – Hunger Moon – A Time to Heal!

Full Snow Moon!

February 9th brings a Full Moon. – This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Snow Moon because the heaviest snows usually fell during this time of the year. The Snow Moon name dates back to the Native Americans during Colonial times when the Moon was a way of tracking the seasons.

Full Hunger Moon!

Some Native American tribes named this the Hunger Moon, others called it the Storm Moon. Some tribes referred to this Full Moon as the Full Hunger Moon. The late winter lunar cycle was called the Hunger Moon by many different peoples in many different languages, and always for the same reason. When you depend on the land where you live for food, and the land has been frozen for months, you are likely to be hungry.

Sun in Aquarius – Moon in Leo!

It is the time of the Sun in Aquarius opposite the Moon in Leo. The Sun in Aquarius is a time for self-expression. Expression of affection builds bridges. It warms hearts. It can even change lives. When the Moon is moving through Leo, you will have a stronger desire to let others know how you feel. You’ll be more apt to tell people that you love them, or express your appreciation for them. Being honest and vulnerable is about as brave, beautiful, awe-inspiring, confident, and cool as it gets.

The Gravitational Pull and the Ocean Tides!

During a Full Moon, ocean tides are higher than usual from an increase in the gravitational pull from the Moon and Sun. Considering that the body is 80% water, scientist and astrologers have often thought that similar effects happen in the body creating almost a “human tidal pull” that can affect brain function. Also, the Full Moon’s light is being shed on the dark parts of you, and when you allow yourself to open up, you make space for deep healing.

Full Moons Affect Sleep!

A recent study conducted under the highly-controlled conditions of a sleep laboratory found that people took five minutes longer to fall asleep on average, and slept for 20 minutes less overall, around a full Moon, compared to during the rest of the month – even when they weren’t exposed to any moonlight!

Full Moon Bathing!

The Full Moon is a great time to ‘Moon Bathe’ – take a few minutes to sit under the light of the Moon and Meditate. As you breathe-in allow the Moon to warm your heart. We are often so busy taking in the energy of world around us that we forget to take in the energy of the world that lies within us.

Full Moon Reflection!

If nothing else, utilize this Full Moon as an excuse to make time for yourself and to reflect upon the vibes you emanate to the rest of the world. The Full Moon is also a time to be quiet, to find your peace, to let go of some things. Take a deep breath and forgive others who did you wrong. You are actually doing it for yourself. Be kind, and you will always have peace.

Super Moon

What is a Super Moon?

Posted on December 31, 2019February 6, 2023 by Lunar Princess

A Super Moon is a New or Full Moon closely coinciding with perigee, the Moon’s closest point to Earth, in its monthly orbit.

Intensity of a Super Moon!

A Super Moon is at its most intense when it is a Super Full Moon. There are also several Super New Moons each year. Because it’s so close to Earth, a Super Full Moon looks about 16% brighter than an average Full Moon. Super Moons don’t happen every month because the Moon’s orbit changes orientation as the Earth goes around the Sun. There are usually three of each in every calendar year.

Super Moons Affect the Oceans!

In addition to appearing larger and brighter than normal, a Super Moon can also affect the oceans. Why are the tides at their strongest around Super Moons? It’s simply because the Moon is at its closest to Earth, and thus the Earth’s oceans are feeling the pull of the Moon’s gravity most powerfully. Expect higher-than-usual tides for a few days, especially following a Full Super Moon.

How a Super Moon Affects Us!

A Super Moon brings with it an opportunity for introspection and to go within. It is a time to delve inside yourself and to work out what you really wish to manifest for your life. When you sync your energy up to the vibration of the Moon, not only will you feel more in tune with your emotions, but you will also be able to vibrate in harmony with your more intuitive side.

A Time to Heal!

If you have old emotions, or challenges coming up at this time, breathe your way through. The Divine Light of the Super Moon shines brightly into all areas of life, illuminating any darkness, density, or limiting beliefs and patterns still needing to be released. You’re being given a beautiful opportunity to heal patterns, uplift your vibration, and align with your inner light. Don’t let it pass you by.

Our Chakras!

Since emotions are so easily accessible during this time, it’s the perfect opportunity to acknowledge and release them. This will help clear your Chakras and allow for the healing energy of the Super Moon to work its magic. You can do this by journaling, which is powerful in being able to express your inner truths and feelings. You can also write out your intentions, make decisions about what you really want, and fully embrace your truest self.

Journaling by a Super Moon!

When journaling by a Super Moon, close your eyes and listen, with stillness, to what you need to hear. When you are ready, open your eyes and gather your paper and pen, and then allow the words or images to flow out onto the paper. Write as much or as little as you feel called to. Decorate the page with drawings or symbols, highlight words, make lists, or just write until there is nothing left to write. Put them away for awhile, until you are ready to read them again, and then analyze your thoughts. Be prepared for some very surprising revelations.

January 10, 2020 – Full Moon – Native American Indians!

The early Native American Indians did not record time by using the months of the Julian or Gregorian calendar. Many tribes kept track of time by observing the seasons and lunar months, although there was much variability. Native American Indians gave names to each of the Full Moons to keep track of the passing year. The names they gave the Full Moon each month are associated with the entire month until the next Full Moon occurs.

Moon Phases for January 2020

A Full Moon – Nature and the Seasons!

Native American Full Moon names are related to nature, the seasons, hunting, fishing, and farming. The Full Moon in January is the Wolf Moon, named after howling wolves, which may stem from the Anglo-Saxon lunar calendar. The wolf has the ability to endure the brutality of the cold very well. January’s other names for its Full Moon: Moon After Yule, Old Moon, Ice Moon, and Snow Moon. Other names for the January Moon include: the Cold Moon and the Great Spirit Moon.

January’s Full Wolf Moon!

The January Full Moon is called the Wolf Moon. Wolves howl to communicate over long distances both in North America and in Europe. It is a way of saying “here I am” to the rest of the pack or “stay away” to intruders. While an average howl from a single wolf lasts from 3 to 7 seconds, a chorus by a pack can last from 30 to 120 seconds and longer during the breeding season in February. So wolves are particularly loud and vocal in the first months of the year, which is probably why people associated the month of January with howling wolves. Wolves howl in the direction of the Moon. They point their faces toward the sky for better acoustics, because projecting their howl upward carries the sound farther.

January 10, 2020 – Full Moon – The Full Moon After Yule!

January’s Full Moon is also referred to as the Moon After Yule. Old Almanacs in England used a series of poetic names to refer to each Moon of each month, and of the entire year. This began with the “Moon after Yule”, the name given to the first Full Moon after the winter solstice, and finished with the “Moon before Yule”, the last Full Moon before the following winter solstice. The Full Moon after Yule brings a rejoicing that, even in the darkest time, the sun is not vanquished. Sol Invictus — the Unconquered Sun — is seen once again, staining the horizon with the promise of hope and brilliance.

January’s Old Full Moon!

The Full Moon of January is known to some as the Old Moon as it is seen amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter as the wolf packs howled hungrily outside of villages. This Full Moon is also known as the Moon’s “ashen glow” or “the old Moon in the new Moon’s arms.” It is where the gibbous part of the Moon is illuminated slightly by Earth-shine, the reflected sunlit from the Earth. Thus, the bright crescent New Moon wraps around and “holds in its arms” its dim gibbous part, also known as the Old Moon.

December 26, 2019 - New Moon in Capricorn

December 26, 2019 – New Moon in Capricorn

Posted on October 1, 2019January 6, 2020 by Lunar Princess

During the phase of a New Moon, the lunar disk is almost completely invisible to the naked eye until daybreak when it will appear as a tiny little crescent, which will get bigger and bigger, day by day.

Energy of a New Moon!

The New Moon has the energy to cause change to the human body and our mental health. This happens as the Moon’s energy has the power to control the ebbs and flows of the ocean and can even impact human behaviors. We’re mostly made of water so it’s no surprise that we are also affected by the gravitational pull of the Moon. This is why, in Astronomy, the energy of the New Moon is regarded as such a highly-influential force. The energy of the New Moon helps people grow spiritually as they seek out the Moon’s healing energy. This New Moon phase represents a fresh start for those who welcome it as an opportunity to celebrate new beginnings, to embark on life transitions, and to obtain spiritual healing from this Moon’s massive positive energy.

December 26, 2019 – New Moon in Capricorn – Finding Balance in Nature!

A Capricorn New Moon has us appreciating all the good in the world, and the importance of staying close to Nature, which is an epic challenge in today’s world. If you’re overwhelmed, go out into the forest, or lie in the park, on a nice blanket on the ground. Try earthing, which is basically going barefoot. You find balance when you listen to your body and follow your instincts about what is authentic. Being an earth sign Moon, we have intense feelings for physical contact, so seek out a friend and try to unwind and enjoy this Moon.

December 26, 2019 – New Moon in Capricorn – Refresh Your Dreams!

This New Moon in Capricorn marks the start of a new Lunar cycle, as well as the start of a new personal cycle. The Moon will be located on the same side of the Earth as the Sun and will not be visible in the night sky until daybreak, when it will appear as a tiny little crescent. This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere. The Moon is so powerful, it is responsible for moving oceans, the ocean tides and for the growth of plants, and we as humans are also affected by this powerful energy. The meaning of a New Moon is the opportunity to start anew and refresh your dreams and desires. Meditate in the quiet darkness of the New Moon on all you hope to accomplish. As it’s also the day after a major holiday for many, Christmas, today is a day for rest.

Set Your Intentions!

Both the Moon and Sun are in the same Zodiac sign during a New Moon… giving an exponential boost or concentration of their energy. During a Capricorn New Moon, you are happiest with a dream in the process since you are not likely to enjoy idle time. For whatever path you’re on, opening to working with planetary energies links you to the power of the Divine. The New Moon is an important time to analyze where you want to be, going forward. This particular Moon gives you the perfect opportunity to set your intentions for the month, to start anew with fresh goals in mind, and to have a ceremony or ritual that wipes the slate clean.

December 26, 2019 – New Moon in Capricorn – Wishes and Dreams Can Happen!

A Ritual for the New Moon:

For a powerful New Moon Ritual, start by lighting the end of a sage wand and blow on it until there is a smoldering glow. Use it around your own body, and in the space of your ritual. Smudging brings clarity and peace.

Start a few days before the New Moon.

Write down all of your wishes, dreams, intentions, and desires. Be as specific as you can.

On the night of the New Moon, read your list aloud. You can go outside beneath the sky or you can light a candle inside in offering.

Give thanks to the Universe for hearing your truth.

A big part of success with new Moon intentions is what comes after. Find ways to keep your wishes in the front of your awareness.

Read your list as often as you can until the night of the New Moon and then release the energy in sacred fire of your candle.

Some people choose to journal their list and keep it instead of burning it. Do the practice whichever way you feel comfortable.

September 28, 2019 -New Moon in Libra

Posted on July 25, 2019October 16, 2019 by Lunar Princess

The Zodiac’s Natural Peacekeeper!

On September 28, the New Moon brings with her the opportunity for creativity—appearing dark, or empty, like fertile ground. New Moons happen when the Moon is between the Sun and the Earth. Over the following 14 to 15 nights, the Moon appears to gather more light from the Sun, becoming a crescent and eventually a Full Moon, and so brings with her the power of growth and potential. The New Moon in Libra is known as the zodiac’s natural peacekeeper. A lot of people consider this to be the energy of level-headed logic and fairness at all costs, especially since one of this sign’s symbols is the scales.

The Zodiac’s Queen of Cause and Effect!

Libra is the sign of balance, relationship, and justice. Libra reminds us that equity cannot exist when we are forced to hide a part of ourselves, our stories, or our truth. The New Moon in Libra is ripe for both reality checking and dreaming. The zodiac’s Queen of Cause and Effect wants us to thoroughly consider the consequences of our actions this month. As the New Moon in Libra dances through our zone of divine details and daily practices, it brings the perfect moment for considering “wellness” in the most inclusive sense of that term. Wellness of body, mind and soul.

Justice and Impartiality!

When the Moon transits the Libra zodiac sector, it is better to defer important decisions for later, but solutions to existing problems could be easy found. It is a time of justice and impartiality. Let this Moon remind you that this life is a crazy quilt of surprise endings and beginnings. It is a time to realize that we are not always right. The Moon in Libra stimulates our desire for harmony and balance, while the sense of beauty, refinement and aesthetic increases. It is a time for gratitude.

Fall and Harvest Season!

Libra is the first Autumn zodiac sign, marking the start of the fall and harvest season. Gardeners that work with Moon phases will sow seeds of leafy and short-root plants during a New Moon. As the Moon waxes, its tidal pull draws water up to the top of the soil nurturing the seed. Stop now to take stock of what you’ve been working on and of where you’ve put your energy since the spring. Untangle yourself from anything that doesn’t bear the fruit you’re craving to cultivate. Then be super-intentional about what you take on from here as you move forward. Trust your instincts.

Re-establish Balance That Has Been Lost!

The New Moon is all about a new cycle, and the Libra New Moon is all about finding ways to re-establish balance that has been lost. Libra doesn’t just appreciate balance — Libra also seeks out imbalance and fixes it. Make it your personal mission to compromise, since the Libra New Moon could initiate pleasant negotiations or sweet heart-to-hearts. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself wanting to play peacemaker during this transit!

Peaceful and Pleasing!

This New Moon, in the sign Libra this September, loves to love. Libra is a social air sign, surrounding itself with others, and trying to keep things peaceful and pleasing. One of the most beautiful qualities of the Libra sign, within the New Moon, is the ability to relate. We truly can relate to others if we recognize our amazing ability to see the “other side,” and to put ourselves in someone else’s shoes. It’s time to start a new habit of really appreciating the other person’s position, especially when things get sticky.

Greek Goddess Themis!

Libra comes from the Greek Goddess Themis, whose name translates to “divine law.” Goddess Themis is sometimes portrayed as being blindfolded, and sometimes not, wielding a sword to cut through delusion. Although Libra is recognized as an agent of balance, there might actually be very little “middle ground” in her world, with the weights of her scale like this or that, no gray area in between, world split in two. Consider that our social webs are not immune to universal law, that relationships are not pleasant mistakes but heavenly constructs. Are you surrounded by the right people? Don’t give away your power. Sometimes, compromise is an important part of keeping your power.  Remember that we cannot change anyone, only the way we see them.

New Moon in Libra Ritual!

New Moon Energy can be powerful. Tapping into this energy can support our dreams and desires. We can harness the energy of the New Moon to fulfill our visions and make our desires come true by creating a New Moon ritual. This ritual should be a time where you can relax and light a candle and maybe some incense, too. Listen to your heart and write down on paper what you truly desire in life. Do not ask for too much, keep your list simple and short with no more than ten goals or wishes. Declare to the New Moon what your vision is. Declare it boldly and with courage. Speak them loudly. By physically speaking them you symbolize your intention to manifest your goals.

August 30 – New Moon, Black Moon – 2019 —

Posted on July 23, 2019September 7, 2019 by Lunar Princess

New Moon in Virgo!

In modern astronomy, the New Moon is when the Sun and Moon are aligned, with the Sun and Earth on opposite sides of the Moon. As New Moon nights are dark, they are often the best time to view other celestial objects like planets, meteor showers, and deep sky objects such as star clusters, and galaxies. This August 30th brings a New Moon in Virgo. Virgo energy gets things done and likes to create an impact on the world through consistent, reliable effort.

Ambitions are Kicking into Overdrive!

A New Moon in Virgo is a strong one. The energy from Virgo has ambitions kicking into overdrive and brings productive energy, more than we are used to. If we do not prepare ourselves for the change in energy, we could find ourselves feeling overwhelmed beyond function. If we are prepared for this burst of Virgo energy, we can ride it for all its worth and get things done. If you are not used to this kind of intense energy, you might waste it if you don’t harness it.

The Virgo Goddess!

This Virgo New Moon Goddess is assisting all of us in putting our lives in order, taking steps to finish what we’ve started, while finding solutions that are natural, essential, and economical. The  Virgo New Moon Goddess seeks maximum efficiency, especially in health and habits, to help with our work lives and daily routines. We are looking for elegant solutions in our lives and she can help. Not in the fashion sense, though she can be that, too, but in precision, quality, and ability to get things done. Elegance is a balance of simplicity and precision honed to gracefully deliver maximum results, with the ability to quickly spot problems and hone in on the details.  The Virgo Goddess is a learn-it-so-you-can-fix-it kind of gal.

This New Moon is a Black Moon!

We have a very exciting happening with this New Moon. This Moon is also called a Black Moon as it is a second New Moon that appears in a calendar month. Most years have twelve New Moons, one each month. But our calendar is not perfectly synchronized with astronomical events. Therefore, every now and then, a year has thirteen Full Moons. When this happens, the New Moons is also referred to as a Black Moon.

A Shift in the Energy of the Universe!

When the Black Moon arrives, a shift in the energy of the Universe is underway. Our attention might shift to new interests and/or occupations. We may meet new people or drift from old ones. What once seemed so important to our well-being, loses its appeal and we find deep inner shifts reflected in changes we once could never have contemplated. Insights and wisdom will be coming to us thick and fast, so it is essential that we take time to process and make sense of what information it holds—and the reasons it is coming to us at this exact time. Allow more quiet time in your daily routine.

Clearing Negative Patterns!

The Dark Moon is where the real growth occurs. When we go through the energy shift of the Dark Moon, it is vital that we discard outdated belief systems, let go of irrational and debilitating thoughts, untangle ourselves from toxic dynamics, and become aware of how we are holding ourselves back by repeating harmful patterns of behavior. Black Moons are important for clearing negative patterns and catapulting us forward with a clearer, more focused mind.

Good Health, Honor and Riches!

New Moon Energy can be powerful. Tapping into this energy can support your dreams and desires. This New Moon is about bringing good health, honor, and riches. It brings people together and is a good omen for ending conflict through peaceful negotiations. This is a time to make your dreams come true through patience, open-mindedness, and hard work. One way to connect to this energy and influence is to use the Moon’s energy to help set our intentions and clear negativity. Be clear on what you want going forward.

Smudging, The Smoke that Purifies!

Incense is commonly associated with cleansing, and the fragrant smoke from burning herbs or resins has been used for cleansing negative energy for centuries. Sage is the most popular and burning sage is a great way to cleanse the aura as well. When reading about working with sage, you may see the phrase “smudging ceremony.” The word “smudging” sounds like it might imply using the ashes; however, it really means “to pass something through smoke” or “to pass the smoke over and around something.” It is the smoke that purifies. Use a sage bundle or stick incense, light the end, let it burn a few moments, and blow it out. The end should be glowing red, with smoke coming out of it. Move the smoke over and around the item, space, or person to be cleansed.

August 1, 2019 – Brings a New Moon!

Posted on July 17, 2019September 1, 2019 by Lunar Princess

The New Moon Phase for August – –

August 1, 2019 New Moon

The New Moon Phase for August has visibility at 1%. It is also known as a Young Moon. This Phase of the Moon, when it is in conjunction with the Sun and invisible from Earth, or shortly thereafter, when it appears as a slender crescent, is called a New Moon. The Moon does not emit its own light, shining, instead, by reflecting sunlight. Depending on the relative positions of the Earth, Sun and Moon, varying amounts of the lunar surface appear to be illuminated. New Moons are a great time to set intentions for things you’d like to create, develop, cultivate, and make manifest.

The New Moon Brings New Beginnings

August 1, 2019 New MoonThe New Moon is a birth. As the waxing phase journeys on, the Moon grows and matures until it reaches its ripest point, the Full Moon. A New Moon marks the start of a new lunar cycle, as well as the start of a new personal cycle. The New Moon will ignite the passion in our relationships and bring us closer to our families. Families are where we can feel love and learn how to love others. Life is tough, and we need people we can lean on. It is also a time for tenderness and fun with your family members.

August 1, 2019 New Moon: Strong Gravitational Pull of a New Moon

The New Moon, just like the Full Moon, exerts a strong gravitational pull on the elements, including the human body. Researchers believe that sleeping troubles are intensified during the time of a New Moon. At the New and Full Moon, the pull they exert is at its strongest. This is because the Sun, the Moon and the Earth line up in a relatively straight line. The Sun’s gravitational pull adds to that of the Moon, giving us the highest and lowest tides.

Chinese Astrology and the New Moon

August 1, 2019 New MoonThe Chinese Zodiac, within the traditional Chinese calendar, celebrates this New Moon phase, or what they also call the Dark Moon, at the start of the calendar month. This New Moon phase lasts roughly for 29 plus days. The Chinese New Year is kick-started by the first New Moon of the year. During the Chinese New Year (which is also celebrated by many surrounding countries in Asia such as the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia), many traditional rituals and festivals are held where fireworks are lit. Many Buddhists abstain from eating meat, and elders and family members are celebrated, even those who have departed.

August 1, 2019 New Moon: Energy of the New Moon

Many people participate in New Moon rituals where they may meditate on their personal desires, dreams and intentions. The energy of the New Moon helps people grow spiritually as they seek out the Moon’s healing energy. In this manner, the New Moon is rich with symbolism and it represents a time of great self-awareness where hopes and visions for the future can be manifested.

Unsettling and Uncertainty of a New Moon

The New Moon is also known for having a more inward feel, and therefore can be unsettling to those not comfortable with uncertainty, or change. Be as mindful as possible to stay positive. Guard against all variety of negativity with your mighty will. Whatever energy you feed during the New Moon Phase will be stored in your vault, and be amplified later in the month. This can obviously be positive or negative. To get the best out of this, you want to think positive thoughts. A great help can be a “Moon Gathering” with others.

Strength of “Moon Gatherings”

The belief in the power of a New Moon is so strong, it has people coming together for “Moon Gatherings,” where candles are lit, intentions are set, and a fresh start is summoned. Start by sitting down in a quiet space and writing out your Goals for the next 30 days. List the ways in which you are not only receiving support from others, but supporting others, too. This can be done alone, or with others. You should cleanse your home with sage to eliminate all negative energy, play meditation music, and light a scented candle. A new candle for the New Moon. Sit in a circle while writing down your thoughts, and if you are with others, have each one read their intentions out loud. It is a powerful time to send out your desires to the Universe.

October 13 – Full Moon in Aries! It is also called Full Hunter’s Moon, the Travel Moon, Blood Moon and the Fire and Wind Moon.

Posted on July 10, 2019November 1, 2019 by Lunar Princess

This Full Moon brings New Beginnings!

This Full Moon in Aries brings new beginnings in terms of standing up for ourselves, becoming more independent and daring to take a risk. This is a potent Full Moon for the Warrior. The challenge of this Full Moon is to learn to extend a peace offering to someone close to you, to understand the rewards of balancing your wishes and desires with theirs, and if necessary, to let go of a relationship that doesn’t allow you both independence balanced with intimacy.

The Full Hunter’s Moon

This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Hunter’s Moon because the leaves are falling and the game is fat and ready to hunt. Mother Earth has prevailed with the change of seasons to remind us to prepare ourselves for a dramatic shift in our lives while giving ourselves the much-needed time to get accustomed to the changes coming our way. Use the element of Fire under this transit to harness and manifest the luck that you need.

The Travel Moon

This Moon has also been known as the Travel Moon. It is called the Travel Moon as this Moon provides extra light after sunset for farmers to continue working on harvesting their crops. When harvesting is completed, farmers have the advantage of extra evening light to engage their wandering spirits. Use red candles and burn cinnamon, nutmeg or ginger as your incense during this Full Travel Moon.

Blood Moon

The name “Blood Moon” is used for a Moon that appears reddish because of dust, smoke and haze in the sky. It is one of the Full Moons of autumn when the leaves are turning red. This is a time when you might be tempted to make the wrong decision under the influence of the Blood Moon and taking time out to stop and think is essential. Act wisely and don’t make any irrational decisions.

Fire and Wind Moon

This October Full Moon is a subtle reminder to all of us that “With great power comes great responsibility.” It is essential that we not only act in a scenario that demands it but also take responsibility for that action. Aries brings fire and wind to new opportunities. That we have two opposite energies working in harmony under this Full Moon is no mistake!

Step Up and Take Action

The October Full Moon in Aries brings the energy needed to accomplish, as we are being asked to step up, take action, and start claiming back our lives. The last few months have been a season of resting, thinking, and deciding which elements of the past to let go of (see ya later, toxic relationships!). With that time to internalize behind us, the cosmos will now call on everyone to let their inner Fire signs show.

Fork-In-The-Road Moments

This Aries Full Moon tends to encourage impulsive, passionate behavior, which is exactly the kind you need in order to weather the emotions and fork-in-the-road moments that are coming our way courtesy of the lunar cycle.  The secret to making good choices is to be conscious of the larger picture of what you want in your life.  Certain decisions are more important than others.  The problem is, we don’t know which ones are which.   Every challenge that we encounter, we will come out the other side stronger, wiser and more experienced.

July 16 – Full Moon – Thunder Moon – Hay Moon – Full Buck Moon

Posted on May 27, 2019August 2, 2019 by Lunar Princess

July 16th, 2019 is the night of the Full Moon, Thunder Moon, Hay Moon and Full Buck Moon. Does a Full Moon affect us? Everything has a cycle and reacts according to the way the Universe is laid out. The planets in our Solar System affect us on emotional levels.  This includes the Moon. Because the law of attraction is thought to be at its most powerful during a Full Moon, those who use it wisely can create myriad opportunities for themselves.

July 16, 2019 – “Thunder Moon”  and “Hay Moon”

The name “Thunder Moon,” according the Old Farmer’s Almanac, was adapted from the native people, in what is now the United States, where summer is thunderstorm season, especially in the Northeast and Midwest.

Because thunderstorms are such a defining characteristic of this month, according to Farmer’s Almanac, the Full Moon remains truthful to its name.

July’s Full Moon, known as the “Thunder Moon,” thanks to all the storms that roll through, or as the Sturgeon Moon on the Great Lakes when those fish are easiest to catch, are not the only names for this Moon. Other tribes and early colonists referred to the Full Moon in July as the “Hay Moon.” The “Hay Moon” was a signal to farmers to start storing their hay for winter.

Observing the Moon, sitting comfortably, or lying down on a patch of grass and letting the Full Moon’s light fill our eyes, makes it easy to be reminded of how ancient and everlasting all the celestial bodies are. Watch how it puts your life into perspective. The annoyances, the anxieties and worries from our day fade away as we realize that in life there are bigger things at play, and it is okay to simply open up and exist in the here and now.

July 16, 2019 – “Full Buck Moon”

For many years, natives have called July’s Full Moon the “Full Buck Moon.” This name comes from our Native American and Colonial past when the Moon was used to track the seasons. Bucks are growing new antlers at this time, as deer start to shed the coatings of velvety fur on their antlers, thus the name “Full Buck Moon.”

There are lots of animals that can lose and regrow body parts like this, but deer are the only mammals with this trick. And deer do it really well — antlers have one of the fastest regrowing times out of all of these body parts. Today, scientists are interested in learning more about how the process works in hopes of applying those techniques to human medicine in the future.

July 16, 2019 – Full Moon brings Interesting Encounters

This Full Moon is going to bring about interesting encounters in your personal life, as well as fun and stimulating events. The Full Moon of July often casts an exuberant vibe, making it a great time to have a party. This also opens the door for meaningful people to step into your life. But there is a dark side to this Moon.

The Moon is a planet of the subconscious, and like the tides, it has a sweeping effect on our emotional life. Dealing with the kinds of feelings a Full Moon brings up can be difficult to do alone, so whether you are single or attached, you might want to reach out and connect with someone close to you just to feel less alone. This could also be a great time to plan outings with friends and re-establish connections that might have been put aside over time.

July 16, 2019 – Hot Energy from this Full Moon

Some astrologists believe this July Full Moon can be a dangerous one. According to Astrology King, the position of the Moon directly opposite of the Sun and Mars “creates such intensely hot energy that it will be difficult to control.”

They also warn that if this energy gets out of control, you might experience “serious relationship problems.” This energy may be difficult to control, but with a positive attitude, you can stay composed.

Incoming and outgoing energies must match. You can’t expect to receive great energy if the one you give off is terrible. Act on principle: Even if someone has done something wrong to you, don’t retaliate. Let karma address it.

July 16, 2019 – Stay Calm

The Full Moon is the time to stay calm, let things go, breathe deeply through difficult moments and forgive others for their mistakes. Since you have the full moon power behind you, send healing energy, forgiveness, pink light and loving-kindness to friends, family, colleagues, and strangers.

Make a point to send peaceful energy to the places in the world experiencing strife, hardship, poverty and war. It has huge benefits for them and as a bonus, you create loads of good Karma.

Even without directing your intention, you can help other people around you feel better; and “around you” means the entire planet! Anytime you raise your energetic frequency, you automatically raise the frequency of people you think about.

Great Affirmations for a Full Moon:

I am whole, complete. I maintain balance in myself and my life. I allow and encourage new growth in my life. I let go of attachments that hold me back. I move forward with the intention to heal. I engage with only those who are good for me.

I let go of all which no longer serves me. I allow and encourage new opportunities in my life. I am in alignment with my truest and highest self. I am whole, complete!

September 2019 Astrological Events

Posted on August 2, 2019October 5, 2019 by Lunar Princess

September 1 – The Moon’s monthly orbit around the Earth will carry it to its closest point to the Sun – its Perihelion. The Moon’s orbit carries it between the Sun and the Earth, at around the same time that it passes its New Moon phase. It is a great time to be creative and participate in writing, painting or anything else that allows the mind to be inspired.

September Neptune at Opposition

September 9 – Neptune at Opposition. The blue giant planet will be at its closest approach to Earth and its face will be fully illuminated by the Sun. It will be brighter than any other time of the year and will be visible all night long. Also tonight, the Piscid Meteor Shower will reach its maximum rate of activity. Some shooting stars associated with the shower are expected to be visible each night from September to October. To see the most meteors, the best place to look is not directly at the radiant itself, but at any dark patch of sky which is around 30–40° away from it.

September Comet 260P/McNaught

September 11 – Comet 260P/McNaught will make its closest approach to the Sun, at a distance of 1.42 AU. Also, the Moon’s monthly orbit around the Earth will carry it to its furthest point from the Sun – its Aphelion. This happens at around the time when the Moon’s orbit carries it around the far side of the Earth as seen from the Sun, as it passes its Full Moon phase. This reminds us that we are not infallible, that we should remain humble and in a constant state of self-reflection on our path to spiritual enlightenment.

September Moon at Apogee

September 13 – The Moon will be at Apogee. The Moon will reach the furthest point along its orbit to the Earth and will appear slightly smaller than at other times. The Moon’s distance from the Earth varies because its orbit is not perfectly circular – it is instead slightly oval-shaped, tracing out a path called an Ellipse. During this time it is common to feel shy and experience sensitive feelings. It is a good time to stay away from crowds and to keep the focus on ourselves.

September Full Corn Moon

September 14 – Full Moon. The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be will be fully illuminated. This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Corn Moon because the corn is harvested around this time of year. This Moon is also known as the Harvest Moon. The Harvest Moon is the Full Moon that occurs closest to the September Equinox each year. This phase of the Moon is the most active of the Moon cycle and typically brings with it increased stamina and evening energy.

September Piscid Meteor Shower

September 21 – The Piscid meteor shower will reach its maximum rate of activity tonight.. Some shooting stars associated with the shower are expected to be visible each night from September through October. Now is the time to start on a new path with the clarity that is reborn within us, as certainty and self-possession are reignited in our soul.

September Autumn Equinox

September 23 – Autumn Equinox. The Sun will shine directly on the Equator and there will be nearly equal amounts of day and night throughout the world. This is also the first day of fall in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of spring in the Southern Hemisphere. Spiritually speaking, fall represents the Harvest time of year, a time to acknowledge abundance as our natural state of being. Our lives go through cycles of growth, harvest, death, and rebirth just as we see in nature.

September Moon and M44

September 24 – The Moon and M44 will make a close approach today. The pair will be visible in the dawn sky, approximately 4 hours and 43 minutes before the Sun – and reaching an altitude of 45° above the horizon before fading from view as dawn breaks. This connection serves as a reminder that all things are in transit on their own journey. We cannot forget to keep moving forward on our own.

September Asteroid 21 Lutetia

September 27 – Asteroid 21 Lutetia will be well placed for observation, lying in the constellation Pisces, well above the horizon for much of the night. This is when 21 Lutetia will reach its highest point in the sky at around midnight. It is a time for awakening our higher minds. We must forgive ourselves our past mistakes and accept them as having passed. We must recognize our own shortcomings and decide to address them.

September 28 – New Moon. The Moon will locate on the same side of the Earth as the Sun and will not be visible in the night sky. This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere. The New Moon is symbolic of the second chance we are given over and over again. This New Moon gifts us with a clean slate.

September Moon and Mercury

September 29 – The Moon and Mercury will share the same right ascension, with the Moon passing 6°14′ to the north of Mercury. Unfortunately, the pair will not be observable – they will reach their highest point in the sky during daytime and will be no higher than 2° above the horizon at dusk. While the Moon determines how we process our feelings and moods, Mercury reflects our communication style and the impact it has on our lives. It’s a time of feeling the need to define our feelings rather than experiencing them. Don’t let this time last too long. Expressing your feelings is good for your emotional health.

September Musings

“The first flash of color always excites me as much as the first frail, courageous bloom of spring. This is, in a sense, my season–sometimes warm and, when the wind blows an alert, sometimes cold. But there is a clarity about September. On clear days, the sun seems brighter, the sky more blue, the white clouds take on marvelous shapes; the Moon is a wonderful apparition, rising gold, cooling to silver; and the stars are so big. The September storms–the hurricane warnings far away, the sudden gales, the downpour of rain that we have so badly needed here for so long–are exhilarating, and there’s a promise that what September starts, October will carry on, catching the torch flung into her hand.” ― Faith Baldwin, Evening Star.

August 15, 2019 Full Moon – Sturgeon Moon – Green Corn Moon – Fruit Moon

Posted on June 2, 2019September 1, 2019 by Lunar Princess

August 15 brings a Full Moon. This Full Moon is called the “Sturgeon Moon,” because of the great number of this huge freshwater fish that could once be found in lakes and rivers in North America. Other names for this Full Moon include: “Green Corn Moon,” “Grain Moon,” “Fruit Moon,” and “Barley Moon,” all inspired by various crops that can be harvested in August.

August Full Moon – Lunar Phases

Many of the Moon’s nicknames have come to us from Native American culture.   Their way of life has them believing that their cycles of the lunar phases of the Full Moon, are as important a method of timekeeping as the longer solar cycle of the year.  This is defined by the motion of the sun, from which the modern Gregorian calendar is derived.  The number of Moon names differs slightly from tribe to tribe.

August Full Moon – Native American Tribes

This Moon phase will rise later each day, becoming prominent later in the night. Within a few days, it will only be visible in the pre-dawn and early-morning sky.  Some Native American tribes called the August Moon the “Sturgeon Moon” because they knew that the sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this Full Moon.

Take the advice of Native Americans and connect with what brings you joy and share that with others. Don’t overthink; just find pleasure in your ability to be you. Your focus will be to balance your mind and body through creativity, through play, and through movement.

August Full Moon – Green Corn Moon, Grain Moon

The August Full Moon has many nicknames — “Green Corn Moon” and “Grain Moon.” They can be traced to the Native American harvesting ceremonies that began at the end of summer.

The Green Corn Ceremony was typically held in late June or early July, and the Mature Green Corn Ceremony would take place 45 days later, according to Cherokee.org.

August Full Moon – Full Fruit Moon

Europeans called this Full Moon the “Full Fruit Moon,” as a number of fruits ripen as the end of Summer approaches, and the “Barley Moon,” for the harvesting and threshing of the barley.

This Moon is also known as the Fruit Moon because this is the time of year when the apples, plums, peaches, grapes and berries are at their ripest and heavy with juice. Just as the fruit turns to it’s most saturated hue so will the sky begin to arrest us with displays of opulent color, signaling the days turning shorter. Even as we enjoy nature’s visual display coupled with a perfectly ripe piece of fruit in the warm summer night, other perfectly ripe fruit is falling onto the ground uneaten and beginning to decay, representing the many stages of life.

During this Full Fruit Moon, you might want to gather your fruits, vegetable and other staples, honor your ancestors, keep in touch with your siblings, ask for forgiveness, and let go of those old grudges.

August Full Moon – Evening Twilight

The Full Moon represents our emotional body and subconscious. The part of us that we typically keep hidden or buried under our social personality. During the time of a Full Moon, all of that comes to the surface, asking to be seen. This is why we feel extra emotional, or as some say, the crazy comes out. It’s not that we are crazy, but it can be uncomfortable to feel all the feels.

By the evening of the Full Moon, as evening twilight ends, Venus will be near its brightest but will be setting in the west-southwest, Jupiter will have regained its customary position as the second brightest planet in the sky, appearing in the southwest about 12 degrees above the horizon.

Energy of the Full Moon

The energy of the Full Moon is heightened at this time, and emotions, feelings, mental processes, dreams etc. are all amplified. When the Sun and Moon oppose each other during a Full Moon, it can cause tension and awkward friction, but at the same time, bring a greater expansion of visions and potential possibilities. This is a compelling time of gratitude, gracefully acknowledging the beauty of life itself, and all you have brought into existence.

Once you start looking up and observing the Full Moon, you’ll want to get outside more and more to get a better view. This is a wonderful time to enjoy the fresh air and gain perspective. Remember how tiny you are—how your small, significant life is connected to all others. Recite the words to that ancient lullaby: “I see the moon and the moon sees me, God bless the moon and God bless me.”

The Full Moon and Nature

“The Moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The Moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished.” ― Deng Ming-Dao, Everyday Tao: Living with Balance and Harmony.

The Full Moon of August

“There were nights for instance, especially in August, where the view of the Full Moon from the top of the Acropolis hill or from a high terrace could steal your breath away. The Moon would slide over the clouds like a seducing princess dressed in her finest silvery silk. And the sky would be full of stars that trembled feebly, like servants that bowed before her. During those nights under the light of the August Full Moon, the city of Athens would become an enchanted kingdom that slept lazily under the sweet light of its ethereal mistress.” ― Effrosyni Moschoudi, The Necklace of Goddess Athena.

“Eventually all things fall into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moments, and know EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON.” ~ Albert Schweitzer ~

People tend to look back on bad or difficult things that have happened in their lives, and in hindsight they find they can say, “Well, if that hadn’t happened, then this other good thing wouldn’t have happened.” They recognize the good that came out of a bad situation, which makes them almost grateful that the bad thing happened.

Believing that things happen like they’re supposed to, after all, doesn’t mean that things will always happen like you want them to. It means that even the circumstances which appear so impossibly “bad,” in the moment, can hold the possibility of being blessings in the long run.

We cannot control every little thing that goes on in the world. It’s easy to get caught up in the fantasies of our thoughts but when we start thinking logically, we realize that life is going to take its course with or without any of us trying to influence it.

We all need to spend less time waiting around and just let things happen as they are supposed to. There is nothing we can do to change the inevitable. If it’s meant to be, it will be.  Act with responsibility and integrity, and when they do happen, remember that others do not judge us by what happens to us, but by how we handle ourselves within that situation. When we stay our course, we have to make sure to always do things that will give us “Good Karma.”

MUSIC and our Emotions

https://youtu.be/VFqT7KLbC9o

Certain sounds, tempos, lyrics and instrumental arrangements evoke different emotions within us. An upbeat song can create positive energy in our minds, while a slower beat can calm our brains down. Music also has strong ties to our emotions. We rely on music to wake us up, calm us down, entertain us, and motivate us. The ways music impacts our mood is one of the main reasons people appreciate it so much.

We are all individuals and we have our own moods, emotions, and by using our senses, we can define a song whether it is depressing, uplifting, chilling, romantic, sad, happy, intense, etc. When we sit back and think about why we enjoy the different music we listen to, it’s usually because it makes us feel something or because it’s in line with what we’re feeling at that moment. Sometimes we’re aware of this, and sometimes we’re not.

Super Blood Moon — Total Lunar Eclipse — Wolf Moon

Posted on January 3, 2019February 21, 2019 by Lunar Princess

January of 2019 is going to bring a rare Lunar event – the Super Blood Moon – to excite eclipse fans. This particular Super Blood Moon is actually going to be a trifecta of lunar events – a Total Lunar Eclipse, Super Blood Moon, and a “Wolf Moon” – and is also being called the Super Blood Wolf Moon. The Super Moon in 2019, which is set for January 20 and 21 (depending on the time zone), will be visible to the people across the Americas and parts of western Europe and Africa.

A Total Lunar Eclipse happens when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are perfectly lined up and the Earth blocks all of Sun’s light from reaching the Moon. Also, a Lunar Eclipse only takes place when there is a Full Moon.

Late on the 20th, Earth’s dark shadow will creep over the Full Wolf Moon, turning the silvery orb blood red during this year’s only Total Lunar Eclipse. By cosmic coincidence, this Full Moon will also be especially close to Earth that night, making it a Super Moon.

The Wolf Moon is a nickname for a Full Moon that appears in the middle of winter.

During a Super Moon, the Moon is closer than usual to the Earth, making it look larger and brighter. During a Total Lunar Eclipse, when the sunlight passes through Earth’s atmosphere, the shorter blue wavelengths of sunlight are scattered outside the Earth’s shadow and the longer red wavelengths are refracted towards the Moon, making it look reddish. The brightness of the red glow depends on the amount of dust and clouds in the Earth’s atmosphere. More dust can the make the Moon look a darker red.

This rare event will not be visible from across most parts of Asia, including India, though it can be viewed from across the America as well as parts of western Europe and Africa. What makes this event special is that a Total Lunar Eclipse will not take place until May 26, 2021, which is a long wait.

The entire event, which includes Total, as well as Partial, Lunar Eclipse will reportedly last for three and a half hours. It can be viewed from the Americas, Greenland, Iceland, western Europe, and western Africa. You will not need special equipment to view this phenomenon. Unlike Solar Eclipses, a Lunar Eclipses can be viewed with the naked eye.

Put them all together and you get a “Super Blood Wolf Moon” that will be viewed in the western hemisphere late Jan. 20 or the early morning hours of Jan. 21 in western Europe.

Full Moon – Super Moon – February, 2019

Posted on January 15, 2019February 28, 2019 by Lunar Princess

February 19, 2019, shows off the biggest Full Moon – Super Moon of 2019. That bright star accompanying the February Super Moon is none other than Regulus, the brightest star in the constellation, Leo the Lion. This Full Moon moment arrives on February 19, 2019, at 15:53 Universal Time. At North American and US time zones, that means the Moon turns full at 11:53am AST, 10:53am EST, 9:53am CST, 8:53am MST, 7:53am PST, 6:53am AKST and 5:53am HST. This grand and glorious Full Moon – Super Moon is a true, brilliant celestial floodlight that beams from dusk till dawn!

A Full Moon has to come within 90 percent of its closest approach to Earth to be dubbed a Super Moon. Any Full Moon that comes to within 224,775 miles or 361,740 km (or less) of our planet, as measured from the centers of the Moon and Earth, is a Super Moon.

Earth’s oceans feel the extra pull of Super Moons. All Full Moons combine with the Sun to create larger-than-usual tides, called spring tides. But closer-than-average Super Moons elevate the tides even more.

“We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the Moon and the sun, how they move in silence… We need silence to be able to touch souls.” – Mother Teresa

“Tell me what you feel in your room when the Full Moon is shining in upon you and your lamp is dying out, and I will tell you how old you are, and I shall know if you are happy.” – Henri Frederic Amiel

Energy runs high during a Super Moon. You may feel more emotional, electric, experience sleep disturbances or have expressive dreams. You may also find your intuition is heightened, synchronicity more pronounced and you become more aware or sensitive to the energy of the environment, the people, plants, animals… actually everything! The best way to balance with this highly charged energy is to Earth yourself by walking bare foot on the ground, hiking in nature, swimming in a lake or the ocean or connecting with Crystals.

The best time to enjoy a Full Moon – Super Moon, or any other Full Moon, is just after moonrise, when the Moon is close to the horizon. Just before moonset is also a good time. When the Full Moon is low, it looks bigger and brighter than when it’s higher up in the sky. This is called the Moon Illusion, and actually makes more of a difference to what it looks like than the real boost you get from it being a bit closer to Earth.

A Full Moon – Super Moon, will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be  fully illuminated.  The Moon will be at its closest approach to the Earth and may look slightly larger and brighter than usual.

The Moon’s orbit around our planet is tilted so it usually falls above or below the shadow of the Earth. About twice each year, a full Moon lines up perfectly with the Earth and Sun such that Earth’s shadow totally blocks the Sun’s light, which would normally reflect off the Moon.

Lunacy and lunatic stem from Luna, the Latin word for Moon. It is believed that people were more likely to show erratic behavior during a Full Moon. A publication on the National Criminal Justice Reference Service titled lunar effect- biological tides and human emotions, shows extensive analyses of data on human behavior. Lunar astronomy accurately indicated that the repression of the Moon’s gravitational influence brings about social tension, disharmony and bizarre results. Make a point of being aware during this time. You can stay positive if you make the effort.

This can be a positive for you. As with any cosmic happening, take it as an opportunity to grow, shift and evolve, as well as move beyond any old ways or fragmented energy you have been carrying and harboring within you, that no longer serve you. It is also a chance to grow closer to your feelings. Not all emotions will be negative and floods of love and happiness can change our lives in a positive way. Allow this Full Moon -Super Moon energy to transform your life.

Shining Bright and Steady, the Moon in Glory!  … Serendipity, Unlimited!

The Full Moon – Super Moon is a great time to ‘Moon Bathe’ – simply sit under the light of the Moon and meditate – and is you breathe-in allow the Moon to warm your heart and expand the beauty of the present moment, and as you exhale, let the light of the Moon transmute that which you wish to release. Full Moon ceremonies, either lighting a candle for yourself or coming together with others in a sacred circle, is a powerful way to bring healing to the self/group and simply BE this Wave of LOVE for all Humanity and planet Earth.

Lunar Eclipse

Lunar Eclipse

Posted on July 14, 2017August 31, 2020 by Lunar Princess

Lunar Eclipse Meaning –

The Moon is a cold, rocky body about 2,160 miles (3,476 km) in diameter. It has no light of its own but shines by sunlight reflected from its surface. The Moon orbits Earth about once every 29 and a half days. As it circles our planet, the changing position of the Moon with respect to the Sun causes our natural satellite to cycle through a series of phases.

An Astronomical Event

An eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when one object in the sky moves into the shadow of another. A Lunar Eclipse is when the Moon moves into the shadow of Earth. Lunar eclipses are not totally dark. The Moon will reflect some sunlight that is refracted by the Earth’s atmosphere. The light that is refracted is reddish in color and can cause the Moon to appear a dark red-brown color.

Earth’s Shadow

An eclipse of the Moon (or Lunar Eclipse) can only occur at Full Moon, and only if the Moon passes through some portion of Earth’s shadow. That shadow is actually composed of two cone-shaped components, one nested inside the other. The outer or penumbral shadow is a zone where the Earth blocks part but not all of the Sun’s rays from reaching the Moon. In contrast, the inner or umbral shadow is a region where the Earth blocks all direct sunlight from reaching the Moon.

Unlike solar eclipses, lunar eclipses are completely safe to watch. You don’t need any kind of protective filters. It isn’t even necessary to use a telescope. You can watch the lunar eclipse with nothing more than your own two eyes.

Tides are Higher During an Eclipse

The pull of the sun and moon add to the tidal effects anytime they’re in line with the Earth. They subtract from the tidal pull when the sun and moon are at right angles to each other from Earth. Because a lunar eclipse only takes place during a full moon, tides are higher during this time.

Changing Behaviors

From general lunacy and medical issues to whether crime rates varied, researchers have tackled a bevy of topics to find out if behavior can change during this phase of the moon. Always surrounded by an aura of mystery, the moon and its possible influence over human behavior has been the object of ancestral fascination and mythical speculation for centuries. While the moon can’t turn people into werewolves, some people do accuse it of causing a bad night’s sleep or creating physical and mental alterations.

Balance and Emotions

Water in our bodies is affected by the movement of the Moon in much the same way as its gravitational pull controls the tides. As the fluid in our body shifts, it is the balance in our minds, which can trigger extreme emotions.

Drama is Likely During an Eclipse

Lunar Eclipses bring new beginnings, new issues, new situations and new people into our lives. They bring issues in our lives to fulfillment. Our emotional levels are raised and drama is likely. We get a cosmic spiritual push to handle matters in certain areas of life. If we choose to get in touch with our feelings under a lunar eclipse and go with the feelings, we will see dramatic positive change.

October 2024 emerges as a month of profound transformation, where the stars align to offer significant insights and opportunities for personal growth. This period is marked by the cosmic dance of celestial bodies, creating a tapestry of events that influence our lives in mystical ways. The month begins with a sense of anticipation, as the astrological landscape suggests a time ripe for introspection, change, and the manifestation of long-held dreams. The highlight of October 2024’s cosmic calendar is undoubtedly the Full Moon, which falls in the dynamic sign of Aries. This Full Moon is not just an ordinary lunar event; it’s a beacon of initiation and action. Known for its fiery energy, the Aries Full Moon symbolizes a peak of emotional intensity where ideas and passions come to fruition. It’s a time when the energy of new beginnings, courage, and assertiveness is at its zenith, urging us to take bold steps toward our goals. This lunation encourages breaking free from constraints, embracing individuality, and pioneering new paths, making it an ideal moment for setting intentions that require courage and initiative. Astrologically, October 2024 is also characterized by Venus moving through Scorpio, adding depth and intensity to relationships and financial matters. This transit invites us to delve into the deeper, more transformative aspects of love, urging us to confront and heal from past emotional wounds. Meanwhile, Jupiter’s retrograde in Gemini might slow down some of our plans but offers a perfect opportunity for reflection, learning, and revising our broader life philosophy. Moreover, the month features a significant solar eclipse in Libra, which, coupled with Jupiter’s retrograde, could reveal hidden truths or disrupt established patterns, especially in relationships and justice-related matters. This selfless commitment to aiding others, often without expecting anything in return, weaves a narrative of hope, community, and transformation. Across the globe, from the bustling streets of major cities to the quiet, remote villages, the volunteer spirit is not just an action but a movement, changing lives one act at a time. The Volunteer Spirit: The Essence of Volunteering Volunteering, at its core, is an act of unselfishness, deeply rooted in the human desire to connect, to share, and uplift. It transcends cultural, economic, and geographic boundaries, embodying the universal truth that every individual can make a difference. Learn About The Angel for Animals! Whether it’s spending a few hours at a local shelter, teaching in underprivileged areas, or engaging in environmental conservation, volunteers worldwide contribute to a collective effort that addresses immediate needs while fostering long-term societal benefits. The ripple effect of volunteering extends far beyond the immediate acts of service. Research and real-world examples highlight several significant impacts. The Volunteer Spirit: Community Development. Volunteers often spearhead projects that directly lead to community improvements, from infrastructure to education. Their involvement can transform neighborhoods, offering hope and practical solutions where governmental or formal structures might fall short. Volunteering plays a critical role in community development in several ways: Social Cohesion: Volunteering brings people together, fostering a sense of community and belonging. When individuals from different backgrounds work towards a common goal, it helps break down social barriers and builds trust among community members. Capacity Building: Volunteers can contribute skills, knowledge, and labor that might otherwise be unaffordable or unavailable to the community. This can range from professional services like legal aid or medical care to manual labor for community projects. Economic Impact: By filling gaps where funding might be insufficient, volunteers can help initiate or sustain projects that stimulate local economies, such as community gardens or small business support programs. Empowerment: Volunteering empowers both the volunteers and the community. Volunteers gain experience, develop new skills, and often feel more connected to their community. For the community, seeing volunteers invest their time can boost morale and encourage local participation in other community activities. Resource Allocation: Often, communities can redirect financial resources to other critical areas because volunteers are covering certain needs for free. This efficient use of resources can lead to more sustainable development. Community Cleanup Initiative: Imagine a neighborhood with litter problems and overgrown lots, detracting from the community’s quality of life and potential health. A group of volunteers organizes a monthly cleanup day. They distribute flyers and coordinate via social media, and on the day, community members (including local businesses, schools, and residents) come together with bags, gloves, and tools. Impact: The physical environment improves, which can reduce pest populations, decrease potential health hazards, and beautify the area. Residents meet each other, perhaps for the first time, fostering relationships. This might lead to further collaborative efforts, like neighborhood watch programs or community events. Economic: If the area becomes more appealing, it might attract more business or investment, leading to economic growth. Participants feel a sense of pride and ownership over their community, which can lead to increased civic engagement and further volunteerism. Sustainability: Seeing the positive outcomes, the volunteers might expand their efforts to include educational workshops on waste management, leading to long-term behavioral changes and sustainable practices within the community. This example illustrates how volunteering not only addresses immediate needs but also plants seeds for continuous improvement and community empowerment. Over time, such efforts can significantly transform a community, making it more resilient, connected, and vibrant. The Volunteer Spirit: Personal Growth. Engaging in volunteer work offers volunteers personal development opportunities, enhancing skills like leadership, empathy, and problem-solving. This personal growth is not just beneficial for the individual but also for the communities they serve, as they return with new insights and capabilities. The Volunteer Spirit: Social Connections and Health Benefits. Volunteering fosters connections not only between volunteers and the communities they serve but also among volunteers themselves. These networks often lead to further initiatives, creating a cycle of giving that perpetuates positive change. Studies, including umbrella reviews, suggest that volunteering can also lead to improved mental and physical health. The act of helping others releases endorphins, leading to a state of well-being. This health benefit loopbacks into society, as healthier volunteers can continue their contributions over longer periods. The Volunteer Spirit: Challenges and Considerations. Despite its numerous benefits, volunteering isn’t without its challenges. The modern world, with its fast pace and mobility, has sometimes diluted the traditional volunteer spirit. As noted in analyses of volunteer trends, there’s a decline in formal volunteering in some regions, attributed to factors like urbanization, changing family structures, and economic pressures. However, this also presents an opportunity for innovation in how volunteering is approached, making it more accessible, flexible, and aligned with contemporary lifestyle changes. The Volunteer Spirit: The Future of Volunteering Looking ahead, the future of volunteering might see “Digital Volunteering.” With technology, volunteering can now transcend physical presence. Online tutoring, digital content creation for educational purposes, or even remote support for NGOs are becoming viable forms of volunteerism. Corporate Volunteering Programs. More companies are recognizing the value of volunteering as a corporate social responsibility, and integrating it into their culture. This not only benefits the community but also enhances employee engagement and satisfaction. The […]

Summer Solstice June 2024 Astrological Meanings! The Summer Solstice: A Celebration of Light and WarmthSummer Solstice June 2024: A Celebration of Light and Warmth: How Cultures Around the World Celebrate the Summer Solstice20 Ways to Celebrate the Summer Solstice June 2024The Summer Solstice 2024 Events Around the WorldMore about Astrology and Horoscopes! Summer Solstice June 2024: Oh, the Summer Solstice! It’s like the VIP of the astronomical party—the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Imagine Mother Nature throwing a barbecue and the sun is the grill master, staying up late to make sure we all get our fill of vitamin D. On June 20, 2024, at 4:51 p.m. EDT, the sun will be at its zenith, basking us in glorious daylight for the longest stretch of the year. So, grab your sunscreen and shades, because this is the peak of solar stardom! Now, does the Summer Solstice affect us? Well, it depends on how you define “affect.” If you mean, “Will it make you want to wear sunglasses indoors and start humming ‘Here Comes the Sun’ by The Beatles?” then yes, absolutely. But in more practical terms, the solstice can influence our mood, sleep patterns, and even our health. The increased daylight can boost serotonin levels, making us feel happier and more energized. But, it can also mess with our sleep schedules, especially if you’re a night owl who prefers the dark side of the moon. So, while the Summer Solstice might not turn you into a sun-worshipping maniac (unless you’re already one, in which case, carry on!), it can have subtle effects on your body and mind. Just remember to enjoy the sunshine responsibly and don’t forget your SPF 50! Summer Solstice June 2024 Astrological Meanings! Summer Solstice June 2024: The Sun’s Grand Entrance: On June 20, 2024, the Sun will be at its peak in the Northern Hemisphere, shining its glorious rays upon us. This means it’s time to soak up all that Vitamin D and let your inner glow shine as brightly as the Sun itself! Summer Solstice June 2024: Cancer Season Begins: As the Sun enters the sign of Cancer, we’ll all be feeling a little more nurturing, emotional, and maybe even a bit crabby (in a good way!). It’s the perfect time to indulge in some self-care, surround yourself with loved ones, and enjoy some delicious seafood (because, you know, crabs!). Summer Solstice June 2024: Longest Day of the Year: The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year, which means more daylight for outdoor adventures, picnics, and maybe even a spontaneous dance party under the stars! Who needs sleep when you have the Sun as your personal DJ? Summer Solstice June 2024: New Beginnings: Just like the Sun, we’ll all be feeling a sense of renewal and rebirth. It’s a great time to set new intentions, start fresh projects, and let go of anything that’s been holding you back. Remember, every day is a new beginning, and the Summer Solstice is the perfect time to embrace it! Summer Solstice June 2024: Fun in the Sun: With the Sun shining its brightest, it’s time to have some fun in the sun! Whether it’s a beach day, a hike, or just lounging in your backyard with a good book, make sure to enjoy the warmth and energy of the season. So, there you have it! The astrological meanings of the Summer Solstice in June 2024 are all about embracing the light, nurturing yourself and others, and having a blast while doing it. Now, go forth and enjoy the cosmic vibes! The Summer Solstice: A Celebration of Light and Warmth As the summer solstice approaches on June 20th, 2024, at 4:51 PM EDT, we find ourselves at the peak of the sun’s journey across the sky. This celestial event marks the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, where the sun reaches its highest point in the sky, bathing us in its warm embrace. 1. Summer Solstice June 2024: The Science Behind the Solstice The summer solstice occurs when the Earth’s axis tilts towards the sun, allowing the Northern Hemisphere to receive the most direct sunlight. This tilt is responsible for the changing seasons and the varying lengths of daylight we experience throughout the year. 2. Summer Solstice June 2024: A Day of Celebration Throughout history, the summer solstice has been celebrated by various cultures around the world. In ancient Egypt, the solstice marked the beginning of the Nile’s annual flooding, which was essential for agriculture. In Sweden, people celebrate with bonfires, dancing, and traditional foods. In the United States, many communities gather for music festivals, parades, and outdoor activities to welcome the arrival of summer. 3. Summer Solstice June 2024: Stonehenge and the Solstice Stonehenge, the iconic prehistoric monument in England, is aligned with the sunrise on the summer solstice. Thousands of people gather at Stonehenge each year to witness this spectacular event, as the sun rises over the Heel Stone and casts a shadow that aligns with the center of the monument. 4. Summer Solstice June 2024: The Midnight Sun In regions north of the Arctic Circle, the summer solstice brings the phenomenon known as the “midnight sun.” During this time, the sun remains above the horizon for 24 hours, providing continuous daylight. This unique experience is a popular attraction for travelers seeking to witness the beauty of the Arctic. 5. Summer Solstice June 2024: The Longest Day, But Not the Hottest Contrary to popular belief, the summer solstice does not necessarily mark the hottest day of the year. The Earth’s oceans and land masses take time to absorb and release heat, which means that the hottest temperatures often occur later in the summer, around July or August. 6. Summer Solstice June 2024: The Tropic of Cancer The summer solstice occurs when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky at the Tropic of Cancer, which is located at 23.5 degrees north latitude. • Secret Serendipity, Synchronicity, and Coincidences!
    Synchronicity

In the tapestry of existence, where the threads of reality intertwine, a fascinating phenomenon known as meaningful coincidences, or synchronicity, weaves its way through the fabric of our lives. These seemingly random occurrences, when observed closely, reveal an intricate web of connections between all things. Synchronicity, a term coined by the renowned Swiss psychologist Carl Jung, refers to the simultaneous occurrence of events that appear meaningfully related but have no discernible causal connection. It is as if the universe is whispering to us, offering subtle clues that hint at a deeper, more profound understanding of the world and our place within it. Secret Serendipity and Synchronicity The phenomenon you’re referring to is known as synchronicity, a term coined by the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung. Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events that are causally unrelated, yet are meaningfully related and occur in a seemingly meaningful manner. This concept suggests that there is an underlying pattern or connection between events that goes beyond our conventional understanding of cause and effect. One example of synchronicity can be seen in the story of two friends, Alice and Bob, who live in different cities. Alice is an aspiring artist and has been working on a painting of a beautiful sunset for several weeks. One day, she finally completes the painting and decides to share it with her friend Bob. She sends him a picture of the painting via text message. At the same time, Bob is on a hike, admiring a breathtaking sunset. As he takes in the beauty of the moment, he receives Alice’s text message with her painting. The painting perfectly captures the colors and emotions of the sunset he is witnessing. Bob is astonished by the coincidence and feels a deep sense of connection with Alice, despite the physical distance between them. In this example, the simultaneous occurrence of Alice finishing her painting of a sunset and Bob witnessing a real sunset is a synchronistic event. There is no causal relationship between the two events, yet they seem meaningfully related and connected. This experience can be interpreted as a sign of the interconnectedness of life and the universe, suggesting that there is an underlying pattern or order that we may not fully understand. Secret Serendipity and Interconnectedness Synchronicity can also manifest in more mundane ways, such as thinking of a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while and then receiving a call from them moments later. These experiences can be seen as reminders of the interconnectedness of all things and the mysterious nature of the universe. All About the Angel for Animals! Synchronicity can also be seen as a bridge between the rational and the irrational, the conscious and the unconscious. It can serve as a reminder that there is more to life than what can be explained by logic and reason alone. By paying attention to these synchronistic events, we can learn to trust our intuition and be more open to the mysteries of the universe. Secret Serendipity and Coincidences Not all coincidences can be considered synchronistic events. A coincidence is simply an accidental, unexpected occurrence of two or more events at the same time, while a synchronistic event is a meaningful coincidence that holds a deeper significance or connection for the person experiencing it. For example, let’s say you randomly meet an old friend from high school at a grocery store. This is a coincidence. However, if you had been thinking about this friend a lot recently and wondering how they were doing, and then you run into them, this could be considered a synchronistic event. In this case, the coincidence has a deeper meaning or connection for you. It is important to note that not all coincidences are necessarily synchronistic events. To be considered a synchronicity, the events must have a personal and meaningful significance to the individual experiencing them. The interpretation of these events is subjective and depends on the individual’s beliefs and experiences. Free Monthly Horoscopes! Imagine you’re walking down the street and you see a billboard with a message that feels like it speaks directly to you and your current situation. You think it’s just a coincidence, but then you start seeing the same message everywhere – on social media, in a book you’re reading, and even in a conversation with a stranger. These repeated occurrences of the same message could be considered a synchronistic event, as it holds a deeper meaning for you and may be a sign or guidance related to your current situation. While coincidences are simply accidental occurrences, synchronistic events are meaningful coincidences that hold a deeper significance or connection for the person experiencing them. They often feel like the universe is trying to communicate something to them or guide them in some way.
