June 18 2020 Mercury Retrograde – Three times a year, it appears as if Mercury is traveling backwards. We refer to these periods as times when Mercury is in retrograde motion, or simply “Mercury Retrograde.” These times in particular were traditionally associated with confusion, delay, and frustration.
June 18 2020 Mercury Retrograde in Cancer!
While in Cancer, Mercury has a tendency to make you take everything personally. Funny, pleasant, and positive interactions make you feel awesome, but arguments or even slightly snarky comments make you feel like you’re hitting rock bottom. Cancer usually hides in its shell when there’s conflict, but the crab has some mighty claws that can come out when provoked.
June 18 2020 Mercury Retrograde – and Its Energy!
Mercury is a flexible planet and its energy can be quite immature at times! It is often observed that Mercury has few morals. It’s not immoral, it’s amoral: it seeks understanding and recognizes connections and possibilities without particularly engaging in the rights and wrongs of those possibilities. Unconscious habits may trip you up now so try to be as self-aware as possible, and be willing to accept responsibility for your role in any interpersonal problems that arise.
Mercury acts erratic when it goes Retrograde, wherever it is placed. Expect annoyances at home with baking, gardening, and household duties under domesticated Cancer. Complete repair projects that weren’t finished or done correctly. While in Cancer, Mercury Retrograde will take us back to the past and make us focus on our childhoods and roots. We can expect old memories to be revived and emotions could even resurface.
June 18 2020 Mercury Retrograde -Healing!
Mercury enters Cancer’s waters on June 18th, and stays until July 12th. This is an excellent period to reconnect with a member of your family, with whom you haven’t been in touch for a long time or to reconcile with someone dear, by reevaluating the situation that caused conflict. This transit period also relates to the body, so take good care of your health during this transit. If you feel tired, rest. If you feel ill, don’t push through but instead do what your body needs to heal.
Mercury is the name given by the ancient Romans to the Greek mythological god, Hermes. Mercury is depicted as a male figure having winged sandals and a winged hat, indicating the ability to travel quickly. He was the official messenger of the ancient gods and goddesses and, as such, governed communications. Mercury was only the messenger of the gods. It wasn’t his job to judge the messages and information that he imparted, only to communicate them.
June 18 2020 Mercury Retrograde – Lavender for Healing!
During this Retrograde, bring out the Essential Oils. Rub a small amount of lavender oil on your pulse points at night. Scent connects and calms the part of our brain that does the stressing out, so using it to keep you calm can be a great strategy. Essential oils are so accessible now. They are highly concentrated, natural extracts from the leaves, flowers, and stems of plants. The most common way to use essential oils is to inhale them, both for their amazing scent and their therapeutic properties. They can also be used in diffusers and humidifiers, and can be diluted with a carrier oil and applied to the skin.

June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon – This June 5th brings a Full Strawberry Moon that is named after the wild strawberries as they start to ripen. June also brings a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius on the same date.
The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be fully illuminated. This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Strawberry Moon because it signaled the time of year to gather ripening fruit. It also coincides with the peak of the strawberry harvesting season.
June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon- Planting and Strawberry Full Moon!
The Full Moons throughout the year have been given names by various cultures down through the centuries. This Moon has also been known as the Rose Moon, Honey Moon, Mead Moon, Planting Moon and Green Corn Moon. At the time of the June Full Moon, the summer constellations will be in full view all night, but the Moon’s brightness will wash out most fainter stars.
June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon-The Honey Moon!
Mead Moon and Honey Moon are the old European names for June’s Full Moon, and some believe that it may be related to why the first month of marriage is called the honeymoon since at least the 1500’s. This may be because of the practice of getting married in the month of June, or because June’s Honey Moon is considered as the “Sweetest Moon of the Year,” possibly due to the honey being ripe and ready for harvest at the end of the month.
June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon- and the Celtic Calendar!
In many countries with documented ancient Moon traditions, the calendars have since radically changed. In Britain for example, where the original Celtic and Ogham names were generated, the calendar changed from the Julian to Gregorian in 1752 – moving old dates by 10 days – so that old Moon names, still used today – seem sometimes out of kilter with their seasons. The romance of the Moon names is a folk-romance – passed like fairy-tales by word of mouth, and changed to suit the needs and dreams of the peoples, generation by generation.
June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon-The Full Moon’s Spirit of Love!
This month’s Full Moon is traditionally a time of wonder, in which people are encouraged to care for themselves, seek beauty in their surroundings, and, most importantly, incite positive changes in their lives. This is a difficult time for all of us. Try to manifest within your heart and soul the spirit of Love and Light and send it out to the world that is filled with great darkness. Even the tiniest candle can light the darkest room.
June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon- The Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius!
Today is also the Penumbral Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius. A penumbral lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through the Earth’s partial shadow, or Penumbra. During this type of eclipse the Moon will darken slightly but not completely. The eclipse will be visible throughout most of Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, the Indian Ocean, and Australia.
June 5 2020 Full Strawberry Moon- The Energy of This Transit!
The energy of this Transit will help you work towards your goals, which is necessary to get stability in your life. You will be concerned about your well being during the transit phase, and that introspection will help bring you a much better attitude about life. You will see a surge in your competitive nature and that will help you with your ability to work past your obstacles and towards your goals. When you embrace the energy of an eclipse, it will shape your life and the effects are most often… Positive!

April 22 2020 Earth Day – This year, Wednesday, April 22nd marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, a day celebrated by millions of people across the world.
The First Earth Day was in 1970!
This American holiday had a strong start. More than 20 million Americans celebrated the first Earth Day in 1970. It has since grown, and has been celebrated in more than 192 countries by over one billion civic-minded supporters. Other countries know it as “International Mother Earth Day.” That’s the name it was given by the United Nations in 2009. Here in the states, we still call it plain old Earth Day.
April 22 2020 Earth Day Celebrations!
Earth Day has been celebrated every April 22nd since 1970. The main aim of Earth Day is to raise awareness of the negative impact our actions have on our environment and the Earth as a whole. More than a billion people celebrate Earth Day, and they do it to protect the planet from things like pollution and deforestation. By taking part in activities like picking up litter and planting trees, we’re making our world a happier, healthier place to live.
Plant a tree! Close to 15 billion trees in the world are cut down each year, so help offset that loss by planting a tree of your own. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen for people to breathe. This is called Photosynthesis. They also provide shelter and food for animals.
Pick Up Litter on April 22 2020 Earth Day!
Help clean up the planet this Earth Day by spending time picking up litter around your neighborhood, school or local park. Better yet, encourage your friends to pick up in their own areas. Do it as a group project. This will help the planet and you will be spreading the Earth Day goodness around.
April 22 2020 Earth Day and Climate Change!
Each year, the Earth Day theme changes. In 1990, the spotlight was on global mobilization of environmental issues with a strong focus on recycling. In 2000 it was about global warming and clean energy. Then, 2010 marked the world’s largest environmental service project—A Billion Acts of Green—as well as a 250,000 person climate change rally in Washington, D.C. The theme for Earth Day 2020 is climate action, a challenge to take action to reduce climate change.
Help the Environment on April 22 2020 Earth Day and Everyday!
There are several ways we can help the environment.
The Eta Aquarids is considered to be the best meteor shower of the year.
Eta Aquarids are Known for Their Speed!
Eta Aquarid meteors, also known as the Aquarids, are known for their speed, according to NASA. These meteors are fast – traveling at about 148,000 mph into Earth’s atmosphere. Meteors shooting across the sky at such speeds can leave glowing “trains” (bits of debris in the wake of the meteor) that last for several seconds to minutes.
Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower – May 4-5, 2020 – Connected to Haley’s Comet!
The Eta Aquarids is a spectacular shower, capable of producing up to 60 meteors per hour at its peak. Most of the activity is seen in the Southern Hemisphere. In the Northern Hemisphere, the rate can reach about 30 meteors per hour. It is produced by dust particles left behind by comet Halley, which has been known and observed since ancient times.
Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower – May 4-5, 2020 – a Good Omen for Romance!
Meteor showers are good omens for romance. For one thing, they are a great idea for dates. Imagine getting away from city lights with a warm blanket, a bottle of wine, and a pair of binoculars to bring the eternal night sky even closer. Meteor showers have a significant astrological significance. There is no question that they are a disruptor of the heavens, and when they pass through, it is a time of inspiration. It is a time in which a problem you have been working on or a decision you have struggled with can be resolved. You can focus on your answer and find it.
Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower – May 4-5, 2020 – Brings Spring!
As the Eta Aquarid Meteors begin to flash across the sky, Spring is in full swing. These meteors always appear after the powerful Spring Equinox, and they herald a brand new part of the year for many. As such, these meteors are often associated with rebirth and regeneration. There are those who seek to utilize their energy, slowly catching the energy that they transfer. One thing is for sure, they help to make the night sky that little bit more beautiful.
Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower – May 4-5, 2020 – Best Seen After Midnight!
The shower runs annually from April 19 to May 28. It peaks this year on the night of the 4th of May and morning of the 5th. The nearly Full Moon will be a problem this year, blocking out some of the brightest meteors. But if you are patient, you should still be able to catch a few good ones. Best viewing will be from a dark location after midnight. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Aquarius, the Water Bearer, but can appear anywhere in the sky.
Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower – May 4-5, 2020 – Brings a Beautiful Night Time Show!
To view the Eta Aquarids find an area well away from city or street lights. Come prepared with a sleeping bag, blanket or lawn chair. Lie flat on your back with your feet facing east and look up, taking in as much of the sky as possible. After about 30 minutes in the dark, your eyes will adapt and you will begin to see meteors. Be patient—the show will last until dawn, so you have plenty of time to catch a glimpse.
Coronavirus and astrology, karma, auras, horoscopes, etc., is a topic that is getting some attention in the spiritual community. How do major negative events like this effect our energies, and what can we do to bring more positive energy to the situation? Let’s review some core elements to the spiritual world and how we can be a positive force.
A Coronavirus Prayer
Loving God, Your desire is for our wholeness and well being.
We hold in tenderness and prayer the collective suffering of our world at this time.
We grieve precious lives lost and vulnerable lives threatened.

Help us to practice social distancing and reveal to us new and creative ways to come together in spirit and in solidarity.
Call us to profound trust in your faithful presence,
You, the God who does not abandon.
Coronavirus and Astrology – Changing Bad Karma To Good
When we see that the old ways of doing things aren’t benefiting us, we need to modify our behavior and act in a different way. There are, also, many things we do in our life that we know won’t bring results for many years, but we do them anyway. We know that eventually, the results will come. Coronavirus and Astrology / Karma – Bringing Happiness
By seeking to do the right thing in any given situation, we, as well as those around us, will become conditioned for peace and happiness in a very real and concrete sense. Likewise, through negative actions we condition ourselves, as well as those around us, for suffering now and in the future. You can’t control the behavior of others, but your reactions and actions will dictate your path. Understand that the way you treat people is a reflection of how you feel about yourself.
Coronavirus and Astrology – Karma and Others
It’s not just that God said we should love one another. He also created the universe in such a way that, in time, we are sure to learn to do just that. If everything we do has a consequence, if everything we do comes back to us, then surely we will come in time to learn that it is ultimately in our own best interests to put out only what we would want to get back. ~ Marianne Williamson ~
Karma is the result of our own past actions and our own present doings. We ourselves are responsible for our own happiness and misery. We create our own Heaven. We create our own Hell. We are the architects of our own fate.
Situations seem to happen to people, but in reality, they unfold from deeper karmic causes. The universe unfolds to itself, bringing to bear any cause that needs to be included. Don’t take this process personally. The working out of cause and effect is eternal. You are part of this rising and falling that never ends, and only by riding the wave can you ensure that the waves don’t drown you. The ego takes everything personally, leaving no room for higher guidance or purpose. If you can, realize that a cosmic plan is unfolding and appreciate the incredibly woven tapestry for what it is, a design of unparalleled marvel. ― Deepak Chopra, The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of Your Life.
Coronavirus and Astrology – Being Compassionate
Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant with the weak and wrong. Sometime in your life, you will have been all of these. ~ Siddhartha Gautama
Always treat others the way you would like to be treated. The way you act is a reflection on yourself.Your words or actions can last forever on others. Sometimes it doesn’t feel permanent to you, but to the other person, it could be everlasting. Treat others well, and Karma will take care of the rest.
We all need help. Some of us need more than others. When you do what you can to help someone who needs it, it connects you with another person, at least for a moment, if not for life. When you show kindness, that kindness is passed on, it can multiply and multiply. A simple little thing like a smile can put a smile and warm feeling in someone else’s heart, and make their day a little better. Offer a hug or a helping hand to someone who is sad. It will make you feel good to be compassionate. When we care for or help others while expecting nothing in return, we feel happy to have helped. Compassionate living is not an act of kindness, it is a way of life.
Coronavirus and Astrology – Auras from Negative to Positive
We all have an Aura! Our Aura reflects our current condition. People who are sick or emotionally upset have weak, shadowy Auras, while healthy, happy people have Auras that are strong and bright. To have a strong positive Aura means you have a strong healthy body, well-balanced, psychological and emotional health, and a spiritual maturity and strength. A weak or negative Aura indicates physical illness or disease, conflicted emotions, unresolved psychological issues, any/or limited spiritual development.
The human Aura is both an energy field and a reflection of the subtle life energies within the body. These energies make us what we are, and in turn, are affected by our surroundings and life style. The Aura reflects our health, character, mental activity and emotional state. It may also show disease, often long before the onset of symptoms.
The color of the Aura is impacted by health—both physical and mental—what we are experiencing in the moment, and how we “run” our energy most of the time. Drug use, trauma, prayer, and healing work can all change the substance of the Aura for better or worse. What we spend our time thinking about, viewing, doing, and believing, all have an impact on the quality of our Aura.
When people realize that their Aura is on display and many people are able to see it, they will watch what they think. And they will try to see and improve their own Aura. In the process they will become better and wiser, being able to recognize intentions of other people.
Practice Forgiveness. Not only letting go of the pain in your past but forgiving the person who caused it, can clear the negative energy from your Aura. Instead of focusing on your wounded feelings, and thereby giving power over you to the person who caused you pain, look for the love, beauty, and kindness around you.
Be aware. Recognize when the emotions that you feel belong to someone else. If your spouse is angry, identify that emotion and acknowledge it, but remind yourself that it is their anger, not yours. When someone is trying to bring you down, it’s more a reflection of them as a person, and their relationship with themselves, than of your worth.
Have a shower in the morning and imagine the water washing away all of your negative energy down the drain, and the water filing you with white light and love. Drinking at least one large glass of water upon waking up will help a lot, too. Water is naturally grounding.
Dreams and Nightmares Meanings- Adults and babies alike dream for around two hours per night. Researchers have found that people have several dreams each night, each one lasting for between five to 20 minutes.
Everybody Dreams!
You’re likely to have more vivid dreams if you’ve had some restless nights. You’re also more likely to recall those dreams, too. You usually only dream about faces you’ve already seen in person or on TV, according to Stanford University.
Dreams and Nightmares Meanings- Dreams Resolve Issues!
Dreams are a way for the brain to work
through complex issues and to explore innovative ways to address
situations that we confront during everyday life but are not able to
properly resolve. The occasional nightmare is considered a dream
that’s simply more frightening or upsetting. Nightmares tend to be
caused by stress, anxiety, or sometimes as a reaction to certain
medications.
Dreams and Nightmares Meanings- Dreams and Symbolism!
Dreaming of falling is very common. It
is a symbol of fear in real life. It might suggest that you need to
rethink a choice or consider a new direction in some area of your
life. Dreaming of public nudity might indicate that you feel like a
phony or that you are afraid of revealing your imperfections and
shortcomings. A dream about being trapped in a small space usually
means you’re just not happy with where you are and you want to
change your current situation. Dreaming about a monster or a demon
is only the result of having seen one too many horror films.
Dreams and Eating Before Bedtime!
Eating before bed makes nightmares more
likely, because it increases your metabolism, signaling your brain to
be more active. Confusion, disgust, sadness, and guilt are more
often the driving force behind nightmares than fear, according to
research.
Dreams and Nightmares Meanings- The Positive Side of Dreams!
Like attracts like and when you are
having dreams of joy then you are going to attract and manifest this
in your own life. The feeling of flying in a dream suggests that you
have released yourself from circumstances that have been weighing you
down in waking life.
Keep a Dream Diary!
Keep a dream diary. Keep a pen and paper by your bed and jot down anything you remember about your dreams as soon as you can after trying to replay them.
January 24 New Moon: This January 24th, the New Moon arrives as the Sun and Moon will be aligned, with the Sun and Earth on opposite sides of the Moon. The New Moon is symbolic of the second chance we are given over and over again. If everything went wrong by the time of the Full Moon and we made every mistake we could have possibly made, the New Moon gifts us with a clean slate.
January 24 New Moon – New Moon and a New Path!
New Moons offer the opportunity to forge a new path. This New Moon in Aquarius asks us to get crystal clear about what we want to grow more of in our lives. Knowing exactly what you want to draw into your life is not always easy. Part of preparing for the New Moon is making sure you are clear about your intentions. While fighting for noble causes often appeals to you, this Lunation is more about personal freedom. Standing up for yourself may not always be popular, but this event isn’t about winning others’ approval. It’s about being true to your own needs and your right to be a unique individual. Although personal freedom is important, remember to always be kind.
This New Moon in Aquarius is also in the midpoint between Neptune (the planet of creativity and dreams) and Saturn (the planet of reality), making you think about ways to realistically achieve your dreams. More than any other sign, Aquarius combines creative inspiration with scientific innovation. Not only have you got a vision for the future—at this New Moon, you’ve also got the technical know-how to make it happen! While Aqaurians can sometimes be seen as unfeeling, they are very sensitive — they just reserve their feelings for those things and people that matter.
The energy of the New Moon helps people
grow spiritually as they seek out the Moon’s healing energy. In
this manner, the New Moon is rich with symbolism and it represents a
time of great self-awareness, where hopes and visions for the future
can be manifested. The New Moon’s energy has the power to control
the ebbs and flows of the ocean and can even impact human behaviors.
This is why in astronomy the energy of the New Moon is regarded as
such a highly influential force. This New Moon in Aquarius wants us
to know that it’s safe to let go, of the memories, of the work, of
wishing things were different.
January 24 New Moon – Spiritual Aspects of a New Moon!
The New Moon in January offers us the ability to feel, learn from the past and creatively unlock and express our essence. When it comes to the spiritual aspects of the New Moon, many people participate in New Moon rituals where they may meditate on their personal desires, dreams and intentions. Lighting a candle on this darkest night of the month signifies our desire to bring just a little more light into our lives. This is the time to ask the Universe to shine light on you during this New Moon and all the ones that follow it.
New Moon and Personal Power!
We can’t start finding what we love until we give up any idea of how we are holding ourselves back. This New Moon is a time when we may be feeling the need to find ourselves, to explore, clear, or even heal what we’ve been going through the last few months. To find happiness in life, we have to learn to face our fears and start making changes for the better. It can start with just one little step in the right direction. The New Moon in Aquarius reminds us of how much personal power we actually have when we use it to make things happen. Use it wisely!
RUMI Quote!
The lovers of God never run out of patience, for they know that time is needed for the Crescent Moon to become full. ~ Rumi ~
January 2020 Astrological Events and Horoscopes – Including information on Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces.
Saturn and Pluto are two of the more feared planets in our solar system and in January, 2020, they’re meeting up in the Zodiac. Saturn is about limits and obstacles to be overcome. In contrast, Jupiter involves expansion and optimism. Both planets have rulership over how societies are organized.
January 4, Quadrantid Meteor Shower –
This first Meteor Shower of the year occurs today, when the Earth’s
orbit passes through particularly dense streams of debris, associated
with comets and asteroids, which have vented particularly large
amounts of solid material to space. Expect to see about 80 meteors
per hour in this Meteor Shower, but there could be as many as 200.
Meteor showers can bring to your life, a combination of chaos and
unpredictability as well as hope and light that guides your path.
They are a sign of unexpected events in your life, so prepare
yourself for change. When you watch every meteor fall, think about
which positive changes you would like to see in your life, then do
your best to make them happen.
January 10, Full Moon in Cancer! – January 2020 Astrological Events
January 10, Full Moon in Cancer –
Most Full Moon names which we consider traditional, date back to
Native Americans of North America. The Full Moon in January is the
Wolf Moon, named after howling wolves, which may stem from the
Anglo-Saxon lunar calendar. The wolf has the ability to endure the
brutality of the cold very well. January’s other names for its Full
Moon: Moon After Yule, Old Moon, Ice Moon, and Snow Moon, Cold Moon
and the Great Spirit Moon. We all know we should think positively as
much as possible, but during the Full Moon, we’ll have a wind at
our back. Your positive thoughts will be energized and multiplied.
January 10, Penumbral Lunar Eclipse!
January 10, Penumbral Lunar Eclipse – A Penumbral Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through the Earth’s partial shadow, or penumbra. During this type of eclipse, the Moon will darken slightly, but not completely. Eclipses are like the cosmic helping hand of the Universe, like a Universal hand that reaches down from the heavens and puts you where you need to be. The good thing about Eclipses is that generally you can trust the direction they are guiding you in. Trust whatever is unfolding in your life as natural to the cycles of transformation and change and know that it is all for a higher purpose.
January 11, End of Uranus Retro in Capricorn
On January 11th, Uranus ends its retrograde motion in Capricorn. This will be an awakening of our romantic and creative sides, ending a time of stale passion and artistic wall-hitting.
January 12, Saturn Conjunct Pluto in Capricorn! – January 2020 Astrological Events
January 12, Saturn Conjunct Pluto in
Capricorn – Capricorn is the leader of the Earth signs, ruler of
Saturn. It is a stabilizing force, one of the hardest-working signs
of the Zodiac. Saturn implies restrictions and limitations, which
serve as a barrier to progress until certain changes are made or
lessons learned, and when, in association with Pluto, the way forward
is conditioned by the need for an inner transformation to occur. It
is time to accept change and go with the flow. Listen to your
intuition and listen to the advice of professionals. This is a slow,
evolutionary process that builds new foundations on which to prosper
in the coming years.
January 16, Mercury enters Aquarius! – January 2020 Astrological Events
January 16, Mercury enters Aquarius –
Mercury is the Planet associated with your relationships with others.
Aquarius is the Sign of friendship, of social connection, and of
progressive thinking. Intelligence matters more with Mercury in
Aquarius, as we can break out of our usual patterns of perception to
understand the world from different angles. Cooler heads allow us to
step out of the shadows of emotion and discover new concepts.
Although you may find yourself to be a deep and serious thinker
during Mercury in Aquarius, your thoughts may be disconnected from
your emotions. This may lead you to conclusions that are surprising
to those who are more compassionate and less intellectual, which
could create some conversational difficulties. Think before you
speak, especially during this time.
January 17, Third Quarter Moon!
January 17, The beginning of the Third Quarter Moon and the Moon is in Libra – The Moon is hidden in the bright daylight, becoming visible only a few hours before and after sunset as it sets in the western sky. This Moon Phase takes a hard look at our interpersonal lessons. The scale is not only a symbol of balance, but also is about decision-making and listening. This transit concerns cooperation, harmony, focus on relationships, and fine artistic pursuits. The Moon in Libra opens our sociability, brings a friendly vibe to our life and encourages us to connect with each other. Family relationships flow in harmony and peace. Mutual understanding with the intimate partner is better than usual. This can also be a favorable time for the beginning of a new romantic relationship.
January 20, Sun enters Aquarius! – January 2020 Astrological Events
January 20, Sun enters Aquarius – This
Aquarian energy shifts us into a time of spiritual awakening, psychic
insights, friendliness and increased magnetism. This will be a breath
of fresh air after the serious Capricorn energy we’ve been working
diligently with. Our intuition kicks into gear because an air and
water element sign means the energy is concentrated towards the upper
three chakras, where the pineal and pituitary glands are located.
When the Sun enters Aquarius, we become much more action-oriented,
not wanting to wait around for things to happen.
January 22, Conjunction of the Moon and Jupiter!
January 22, Conjunction of the Moon and
Jupiter – Jupiter, the largest planet of the solar system, will get
close to the Moon in the morning sky. The two will share the same
celestial longitude as they make a close approach to each other. This
Moon conjunct Jupiter transit makes you feel happy and content. You
will want to share your good mood, making this a good time for
socializing and partying. This is a time of optimism, generosity and
good fortune. Luck is on your side, but what should be most
rewarding should be your emotional and spiritual growth. A range of
diverse relationships and cultural experiences can enrich your life
in personal and material ways if you want them to.
January 24, New Moon in Aquarius!
January 24, New Moon in Aquarius – New
Moons offer the opportunity to forge a new path. Today’s New Moon in
Aquarius asks us to get crystal clear about what we want to grow more
of in our lives. While fighting for noble causes often appeals to
you, this Lunation is more about personal freedom. Standing up for
yourself may not always be popular, but this event isn’t about
winning others’ approval. It’s about being true to your own needs and
your right to be a unique individual. This New Moon is a green
light—but it’s the last of its kind until the spring. The New
Moon in Aquarius also reminds us of how much personal power we have
when we use it to make things happen. Use it wisely.

January 10, 2020 – Full Moon – Native American Indians!
The early Native American Indians did not record time by using the months of the Julian or Gregorian calendar. Many tribes kept track of time by observing the seasons and lunar months, although there was much variability. Native American Indians gave names to each of the Full Moons to keep track of the passing year. The names they gave the Full Moon each month are associated with the entire month until the next Full Moon occurs.
Native American Full Moon names are
related to nature, the seasons, hunting, fishing, and farming. The
Full Moon in January is the Wolf Moon, named after howling wolves,
which may stem from the Anglo-Saxon lunar calendar. The wolf has the
ability to endure the brutality of the cold very well. January’s
other names for its Full Moon: Moon After Yule, Old Moon, Ice Moon,
and Snow Moon. Other names for the January Moon include: the Cold
Moon and the Great Spirit Moon.
January’s Full Wolf Moon!
The January Full Moon is called the
Wolf Moon. Wolves howl to communicate over long distances both in
North America and in Europe. It is a way of saying “here I am” to
the rest of the pack or “stay away” to intruders. While an
average howl from a single wolf lasts from 3 to 7 seconds, a chorus
by a pack can last from 30 to 120 seconds and longer during the
breeding season in February. So wolves are particularly loud and
vocal in the first months of the year, which is probably why people
associated the month of January with howling wolves. Wolves howl in
the direction of the Moon. They point their faces toward the sky for
better acoustics, because projecting their howl upward carries the
sound farther.
January 10, 2020 – Full Moon – The Full Moon After Yule!
January’s Full Moon is also referred to
as the Moon After Yule. Old Almanacs in England used a series of
poetic names to refer to each Moon of each month, and of the entire
year. This began with the “Moon after Yule”, the name given
to the first Full Moon after the winter solstice, and finished with
the “Moon before Yule”, the last Full Moon before the
following winter solstice. The Full Moon after Yule brings a
rejoicing that, even in the darkest time, the sun is not vanquished.
Sol Invictus — the Unconquered Sun — is seen once again, staining
the horizon with the promise of hope and brilliance.
January’s Old Full Moon!
The Full Moon of January is known to
some as the Old Moon as it is seen amid the cold and deep snows of
midwinter as the wolf packs howled hungrily outside of villages.
This Full Moon is also known as the Moon’s “ashen glow” or
“the old Moon in the new Moon’s arms.” It is where the
gibbous part of the Moon is illuminated slightly by Earth-shine, the
reflected sunlit from the Earth. Thus, the bright crescent New Moon
wraps around and “holds in its arms” its dim gibbous part,
also known as the Old Moon.
January 10, 2020 – Full Moon – The Ice and Snow Full Moon!
The Ice Moon and Snow Moon are other
names of this January Full Moon. It is believed by some tribes that
the the light of the Full Moon of January can heat the upper
atmosphere and evaporate cloud moisture that would ordinarily trap
heat escaping from earth, thus facilitating radiational cooling that
could lead to Winter’s ice, snow and frost. This Full Moon’s symbols
remind us that the colder months are a perfect time to take stock of
the challenges we face and what might be keeping us from reaching
what we want.
The Great Spirit Full Moon in January!
The Great Spirit Moon in January has
several origins. The Anishnaabe tribes of what is now known as the
Great Lakes region, called January’s Full Moon – the Great Spirit

Great Spirit, their principal Deity. In addition, according to the

the Great Spirit Moon. It is cold, dark and unequivocally wintertime.
January 10, 2020 – Full Moon – January’s Winter Blues!
The reduced light, warmth, and color of winter, leaves lots of people feeling a little more melancholy and tired. If the winter blues are about lack of daylight, it’s no surprise that treatment usually involves getting more light into your life. If you feel low in winter, get outside as often as you can, especially on bright days. Sitting by a window can also help. But being around other people to share a meal, a laugh, and a little love is a super important part of feeling positive and connected through the darker months of the year.
January 10, 2020 – Full Moon – The Power of Smells!

The Man in the Moon
It was a lovely evening. Night was out hunting on her black steed, and the long cloud mane fluttered on the wind. I stood at my window watching the Moon. Is there really a “Man in the Moon?”… When I was little they told me that the Moon was a fruit, and that when it was ripe, it was picked and laid away, amid a vast collection of old Full Moons, in a great bureau, which stood at the end of the world, where it is nailed up with boards. ~Heinrich Heine, “The Hartz Journey” (1824), Pictures of Travel, translated from German by Charles Godfrey Leland, 1855 ~
What is a new moon?
A new moon is the name of the first lunar phase, at a point where the Moon and Sun have the same ecliptic longitude.
How many new moons are there annually?
Most years have 12 New Moons, 1 each month. But, the calendar that we use is not exactly in step with astrology, so some years have an extra new moon.
During the phase of a New Moon, the
lunar disk is almost completely invisible to the naked eye until
daybreak when it will appear as a tiny little crescent, which will
get bigger and bigger, day by day.
Energy of a New Moon!
The New Moon has the energy to cause change to the human body and our mental health. This happens as the Moon’s energy has the power to control the ebbs and flows of the ocean and can even impact human behaviors. We’re mostly made of water so it’s no surprise that we are also affected by the gravitational pull of the Moon. This is why, in Astronomy, the energy of the New Moon is regarded as such a highly-influential force. The energy of the New Moon helps people grow spiritually as they seek out the Moon’s healing energy. This New Moon phase represents a fresh start for those who welcome it as an opportunity to celebrate new beginnings, to embark on life transitions, and to obtain spiritual healing from this Moon’s massive positive energy.
December 26, 2019 – New Moon in Capricorn – Finding Balance in Nature!
A Capricorn New Moon has us
appreciating all the good in the world, and the importance of staying
close to Nature, which is an epic challenge in today’s world. If
you’re overwhelmed, go out into the forest, or lie in the park, on a
nice blanket on the ground. Try earthing, which is basically going
barefoot. You find balance when you listen to your body and follow
your instincts about what is authentic. Being an earth sign Moon, we
have intense feelings for physical contact, so seek out a friend and
try to unwind and enjoy this Moon.
December 26, 2019 – New Moon in Capricorn – Refresh Your Dreams!
This New Moon in Capricorn marks the
start of a new Lunar cycle, as well as the start of a new personal
cycle. The Moon will be located on the same side of the Earth as the
Sun and will not be visible in the night sky until daybreak, when it
will appear as a tiny little crescent. This is the best time of the
month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters
because there is no moonlight to interfere. The Moon is so powerful,
it is responsible for moving oceans, the ocean tides and for the
growth of plants, and we as humans are also affected by this powerful
energy. The meaning of a New Moon is the opportunity to start anew
and refresh your dreams and desires. Meditate in the quiet darkness
of the New Moon on all you hope to accomplish. As it’s also the day
after a major holiday for many, Christmas, today is a day for rest.
Set Your Intentions!
Both the Moon and Sun are in the same Zodiac sign during a New Moon… giving an exponential boost or concentration of their energy. During a Capricorn New Moon, you are happiest with a dream in the process since you are not likely to enjoy idle time. For whatever path you’re on, opening to working with planetary energies links you to the power of the Divine. The New Moon is an important time to analyze where you want to be, going forward. This particular Moon gives you the perfect opportunity to set your intentions for the month, to start anew with fresh goals in mind, and to have a ceremony or ritual that wipes the slate clean.
December 26, 2019 – New Moon in Capricorn – Wishes and Dreams Can Happen!
A Ritual for the New Moon:
For a powerful New Moon Ritual, start
by lighting the end of a sage wand and blow on it until there is a
smoldering glow. Use it around your own body, and in the space of
your ritual. Smudging brings clarity and peace.
Start a few days before the New Moon.
Write down all of your wishes, dreams,
intentions, and desires. Be as specific as you can.
On the night of the New Moon, read your
list aloud. You can go outside beneath the sky or you can light a
candle inside in offering.
Give thanks to the Universe for hearing
your truth.
A big part of success with new Moon
intentions is what comes after. Find ways to keep your wishes in the
front of your awareness.
Read your list as often as you can
until the night of the New Moon and then release the energy in sacred
fire of your candle.
Some people choose to journal their
list and keep it instead of burning it. Do the practice whichever way
you feel comfortable.

Joining of Mercury (Scorpio) and Pluto (Capricorn) — A Time for Opportunities!
December 3 – Mercury (Scorpio) sextile Pluto (Capricorn). This joining shows us the cooperation between two planets which leads to opportunities in our life. It has a positive blending effect on the planets. Sextiles are considered “soft” or “easy” aspects that reflect the planets involved. Mercury rules the reasoning and conscious mind that forms conclusions. Mercury is intellectual, enjoys learning, teaches and is communicative. Pluto rules transformation through destruction, only to end up in reconstruction. This sextile will infuse each zodiac sign with the desire to surrender to whatever is happening in our lives, knowing that we don’t need to fight so hard for what is meant for us.
December 2019 Astrological Events -A Full Cold Moon in Capricorn!
December 12 – Full Moon in Capricorn. The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be fully illuminated. This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Cold Moon because this is the time of year when the cold winter air settles in and the nights become long and dark. This Moon has also been known as the Full Long Nights Moon and the Moon Before Yule. There will be a lot of emotional insight that will be happening in the next few days—get ready now. Embrace the power of the twins, as the Moon harnesses their power, with a Full Moon Meditation of self-love and acceptance.
Geminids Meteor Shower — Brings Hope!
December 13, 14 – Geminids Meteor Shower. The Geminids is the king of the meteor showers. It is considered by many to be the best shower in the heavens, producing up to 120 multicolored meteors per hour at its peak. It is produced by debris left behind by an asteroid known as 3200 Phaethon, which was discovered in 1982. The shower runs annually from December 7-17. It peaks this year on the night of the 13th and morning of the 14th. Unfortunately, the nearly Full Moon will block out many of the meteors this year, but the Geminids are so bright and numerous that it could still be a good show. Best viewing will be from a dark location after midnight. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Gemini, but can appear anywhere in the sky. What better way to meditate on your place in the Universe than to actually spend an evening with the Universe? Prepare your heart for shooting stars, because the Geminid meteor shower will be all the hope you need for a bright future.
December 2019 Astrological Events – Venus enters Aquarius — Let You Be You!
December 20 – Venus enters Aquarius. Venus in Aquarius is anything but traditional. In Aquarius, the Goddess of Love is rebellious, eccentric, and open-minded with her desires, values, and relationships. When Venus is in Aquarius, we are naturally prone to detaching from our emotions, and instead surrounding ourselves with like-minded individuals, and intellectually-stimulating partners. Impromptu attractions, “friends with benefits,” and all forms of free love, are welcome. This is your chance to march to the beat of your own drum.
Ursids Meteor Shower — Our Connection with Mother Nature!
December 21, 22 – Ursids Meteor Shower.
The Ursids is a minor meteor shower producing about 5-10 meteors per
hour. It is produced by dust grains left behind by comet Tuttle,
which was first discovered in 1790. The shower runs annually from
December 17 – 25. It peaks this year on the the night of the 21st and
morning of the 22nd. The Waning Crescent Moon should not interfere
too much this year. Skies should still be dark enough for what could
be a good show. Best viewing will be just after midnight from a dark
location far away from city lights. Meteors will radiate from the
constellation Ursa Minor, but can appear anywhere in the sky.
Taking place just before the end of the year, this is your chance to
make a real wish for the year to come. Trust that the Universe is
laying down the groundwork for a major transformation. Be aware of
the innate connection we as human beings have with Mother Nature!
December Solstice, Winter Solstice — A Time of Acceptance!
December 22 – December Solstice, also
called the Winter Solstice. The South Pole of the earth will be
tilted toward the Sun, which will have reached its southernmost
position in the sky and will be directly over the Tropic of Capricorn
at 23.44 degrees south latitude. This is the first day of winter
(winter solstice) in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of
summer (summer solstice) in the Southern Hemisphere. The December
(or Winter) Solstice helps us to understand that in life, we often
have to accept the darkness, whether it be darkness within ourselves,
friends, family or just the world in general. We have to accept it
but we always hold onto the hope that one way or another the light
will shine once again.
December 2019 Astrological Events – A New Moon of Powerful Energy!
December 26 – New Moon. The Moon will
located on the same side of the Earth as the Sun and will not be
visible in the night sky. This is the best time of the month to
observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because
there is no moonlight to interfere. The Moon is so powerful, it is
responsible for moving oceans, the ocean tides and for the growth of
plants, and we as humans are also affected by this powerful energy.
The meaning of a New Moon is the opportunity to start anew and
refresh your dreams and desires. Meditate in the quiet darkness of
the New Moon on all you hope to accomplish. As it’s also the day
after a major holiday for many, Christmas, today is a day for rest.
Annular Solar Eclipse — The Ring of Light!
December 26 – Annular Solar Eclipse.
An annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon is too far away from
the Earth to completely cover the Sun. This results in a ring of
light around the darkened Moon. The Sun’s corona is not visible
during an annular eclipse. The path of of the eclipse will begin in
Saudi Arabia and move east through southern India, northern Sri
Lanka, parts of the Indian Ocean, and Indonesia before ending in the
Pacific Ocean. A partial eclipse will be visible throughout most of
Asia and northern Australia. This Solar Eclipse provokes changes
that are more external, when events outside of us might get in the
way of what we want and the path we must take to get it. It forces
us to find a different route to our goals.

Chinese Astrology deals with the celestial science of the five elements (Earth, Fire, Water, Metal, Wood,) Yin and Yang, Chi, and the cycles of time, and instead of using the sun, like traditional Western astrology, uses calculations based on the moon. The Ancient Chinese astrologers discovered the guide to self-understanding by using a twelve year cycle of personality differences, with each year representing an animal and its reputed attributes. We all have an animal sign, from the Resourceful Rat to the Prodigal Pig, according to the year of your birth. These Asiatic horoscopes are studied in the countries of the East as intense as those based on the monthly signs of the Zodiac are studied in the West.
All things have energy. It’s the way you send out vibrations, or awareness. As human beings, we radiate a very low level of electricity that’s otherwise known as an electromagnetic field. Vibrations are short for vibrational frequency, which is what an aura is comprised of.
In Native American cultures, which tracked the calendar by the Moons, December’s Full Moon is known as the Full Cold Moon. December is the month when winter truly begins in most of the Northern Hemisphere. Most of the ancient Full Moon names are related to the low temperatures and darkness of December. It is fittingly associated with the month when the winter cold fastens its grip and the nights become long and dark. This Full Moon is a reminder that our possibilities are endless, and that there are always opportunities waiting for us on the other side of the horizon. Always Remember: You hold the key to your success!
December 12, 2019 Full Cold Moon – Pink Light and Loving Kindness!
During a Full Moon, the Moon is 100% illuminated as seen from Earth and is on the opposite side of the Earth from the Sun. The Moon will be visible throughout the night sky rising at sunset in the east and setting with the sunrise the next morning. The Moon appears full to the eye for two to three nights. However, astronomers regard the Moon as Full at a precisely defined instant — when the Moon is exactly 180 degrees opposite the Sun. Since you have this Full Moon power behind you, send healing energy, forgiveness, pink light and loving-kindness to friends, family, colleagues, and strangers. In addition, send peaceful energy to the places in the world experiencing strife, hardship, poverty and war.
December 12, 2019 Full Cold Moon – Reach out to Others at this Time!
In North America, this Moon is referred
to as the Full Cold Moon because it coincides with the winter
solstice. It is associated with the time in which days grow colder
and nights become much longer. The Full Moon will also share the sky
with the annual Ursid meteor shower. The Ursids are named after the
constellation Ursa Major, where they appear to originate. When it’s
cold outside, open your heart and home to friends and family. Reach
out to people who might be suffering from the chill of winter, either
spiritually or physically
Also Called the Strawberry Moon, Honey Moon and Rose Moon!
In the Southern Hemisphere, where it’s
summer during December, names for this Full Moon include Strawberry
Moon, Honey Moon and Rose Moon. This December Full Moon gives us the
perfect time to forgive and let go. Spend time visualizing forgiving
anyone whom you hold any resentment or grudges against. Go through
each person in turn and forgive and release the negative feelings.
December 12, 2019 Full Cold Moon – A Time to Heal and Relax!
The Long Night Moon gets its name because the Full Moon in December occurs near the Solstice, which has the longest night of the year. This is a time of rest. As the night is long and the days are short it becomes a time of self healing and rejuvenation. As mother Earth has tucked herself in, so should you. It is perfectly fine to allow yourself the time to heal and relax that is necessary for good health. Now is the perfect time for spiritual awareness — time to evaluate your life, and know that you’ll survive the dark times. It is the time to get rid of that excess baggage you’ve been toting around.
December 12, 2019 Full Cold Moon – The Moon Before Yule!
Europeans call the December Full Moon the Moon before Yule. Yule is an old northern European winter festival that is now associated with Christmas. This is a season of adaptation and change. In many magical traditions, and certainly owing to its proximity to Yule and Christmas, this is also a time of sharing one’s blessings with those less fortunate. Many customs created around Yule are identified with Christmas today.
Dried Yule Log
If you decorate your home with a Yule tree, holly or candles, you are following some of these old traditions. A dried Yule log, (usually made from a piece of wood saved from the previous year) is burned in the fire to symbolize the Newborn Sun/Son. Many displayed symbols of Yule are very prominent today. Some displayed are the original Yule Log, or small Yule Log with 3 candles, evergreen boughs or wreaths, holly, mistletoe hung in doorways, gold pillar candles, baskets of clove studded fruit, a simmering pot of wassail (also known as Hot Apple Cider), and bright red poinsettias.
December’s Full Cold Moon – Spiritual Meaning!
This Full Cold Moon of December is happening in the Zodiac sign of Gemini. Gemini is an Air sign and is symbolized by the twins and ruled by Mercury. As this Moon moves through Gemini, regardless of how we normally feel, we may be a little bit more scattered during this transition. Take quiet time for clear thinking. This is a Moon loaded with vibrations of change. It is worth keeping in mind that part of growing as a person requires you to accept that life is constantly changing. Embrace these changes as they will be positive ones. This is a fantastically-beautiful Full Moon. We are tempted to be spellbound by it. But we are also tempted to be wary, as sometimes things are not as they appear to be.
High Karma Quotient
The Full Cold Moon of December is special, as it has a high Karma quotient to it. Creating good Karma is as simple as trying your best to be a good person, and to treat others with kindness. This is also the time of year for wrapping up loose ends, finishing up a project, or turning inwards. Clear communication must be highlighted here in dealing with others. Examine the ways in which you communicate to others and make some positive changes. Put out your best effort and true self into the world, and the Universe will send you experiences and people to match your energy.
December 12, 2019 Full Cold Moon – It’s a Time for Hot Apple Cider!
Nothing beats a mug of hot apple cider on a cold winter’s day. In these more brisk months, there’s nothing better than wrapping your hands around a hot mug of apple cider. Just the fragrance is enough to lull anyone in from the cold and calm the senses for a while. Apple cider is perfect for gatherings with friends, family dinners, Christmas parties… pretty much anywhere where a large group of people plan on getting together. If you’re the one hosting the party, it makes your house smell like an old school cider house — better than any holiday candle can.
Instructions:
What we do: Grab an orange. Stick some cloves in it. Throw it in your Crock Pot along with a few cinnamon sticks and a gallon of apple cider. Turn it on. Wait four hours. Serve. *Option 1 – Thinly slice or chop up some McIntosh apples including the peel, into small pieces and drop a small bunch of the apple pieces into each cup of hot cider just before serving. This makes a wonderful addition to this recipe. *Option 2 – Add one and one-half cups of bourbon, whiskey or rum when ready to serve. (Adding it too soon will burn out the alcohol.) Also briskly whisk in a pat of butter right before serving. It gives the cider a rich, frothy top and smooths out the flavors. Makes about sixteen 8 oz. Drinks.

A Full Moon is considered to be the strongest of the moon’s phases, the one that has the most influence on us. Many believe that the energy of the moon can be tapped into and can affect us all on its own.
Full Moon mythology has persisted throughout history. Even today the myth continues and sometimes appears in the news as law enforcement has linked Full Moons to aggressive behavior. The positive and negative ions in the atmosphere, which can affect human behavior, are the effects of the Full Moon. An excess of positive ions produces headaches, dizziness, bad behavior and other detrimental effects in people. Negative ions are beneficial, and can improve alertness, and general well being.

Spirituality of a Full Moon!
The Full Moon, with the exception of its Super Moon, is the most powerful night of each month for love relationships and especially for Soulmates. It is also a symbol of the spiritual aspects of femininity, such as intuition, psychic abilities, creativity and wisdom.
The Full Moon is a great time to Moon Bathe. Simply sit under the light of the Moon and meditate. As you breathe-in allow the Moon to warm your Heart and expand the beauty of the present moment. As you breathe-out let the light of the Moon transmute that which you wish to release. Enjoy the fresh air and gain perspective. Remember how tiny you are—how your small, significant life is connected to all others. Recite the words to that ancient lullaby: “I see the Moon and the Moon sees me, God bless the Moon and God bless me.”
It is also the perfect time to
experiment with psychic energy and spirituality. When you receive
Psychic or a Tarot oracle card reading on a Full Moon, you will find
you can understand things on a deeper level and more in-depth than
your usual reading. Soulmates energy is intensified and most
soulmates reunite or get back together during a Full Moon, more than
any other time.
The full moon is the lunar phase when the Moon is completely visible from Earth’s perspective.
How many full moons are there annually?
Most years have 12 Full Moons, 1 each month. But, the calendar that we use is not exactly in step with astrology, so some years have an extra full moon.
What are the names of the full moons?
Wolf Moon, Snow Moon, Worm Moon, Pink Moon, Flower Moon, Strawberry Moon, Thunder Moon, Sturgeon Moon, Harvest Moon, Hunters Moon, Blue Moon, Beaver Moon, and Cold Moon.
November 26, 2019 – New Moon in Sagittarius: The New Moon phase of November represents a fresh start for those who welcome it as an opportunity to celebrate new beginnings, to embark on life transitions, and to obtain spiritual healing from this Moon’s massive positive energy.
The Moon moves rapidly through the constellations of the Zodiac and aligns with the Sun once every 29 and ½ days. This begins the cycle of the New Moon. During this period we can barely see the Moon in the sky. This New Moon’s energy has the power to control the ebbs and flows of the ocean and can even impact human behaviors. This is why in astronomy the energy of the New Moon is regarded as such a highly influential force. The energy of the New Moon helps people grow spiritually as they seek out the Moon’s healing energy. In this manner, the New Moon is rich with symbolism and it represents a time of great self-awareness where hopes and visions for the future can be manifested.
November 26, 2019 – New Moon in Sagittarius: A Time of Reinvention

slate, and quiet time that asks us to inwardly reflect on the energy
that we wish to call into our lives or release from our spaces. If
we have a professional or romantic project, it might be a good time
to delve into it when there’s a New Moon. Fifteen days afterwards,
the Full Moon will illuminate the sky and it may bring you success
and some good news! With this New Moon in Sagittarius you will
benefit from extra energy and an attraction towards spiritual
matters. This lunar event will help you abandon frustrations and
limitations and reinvent yourself.
November 26, 2019 – New Moon in Sagittarius: Change for the Better
Even though it’s very close to being
invisible in the sky, a New Moon’s energy brings the start of a new
lunar cycle, as well as the beginning of a new personal cycle. True
of fire signs, you’re at the forefront of change. This New Moon cycle
represents an opportunity to rid us of the ‘junk’ in our lives —
material and spiritual. We have the chance to make important changes
in our lives, as we are learning to dig deeper into the mysteries
around us instead of always being content with the status quo. More
cautious souls might find you reckless but they are not all that
surprised by how often luck is on your side. Change is inevitable,
but in November, change will be for the better.
New Moon is a Trusting Moon
This New Moon in Sagittarius energizes
our quest for knowledge and truth. Sagittarius represents the
spiritual seeker, seeking life’s truths through experiences. The
sign of Sagittarius is optimism and trusts life. It shows us that
new things can be thrilling and also can be dangerous, too, if we do
not know what is about to happen. This Moon will assist in trusting
that we are creating our future as we are exploring the new.
Sagittarius Moon – A Time for Kindness
During the Sagittarius New Moon we are
going to feel split between passionate impulses, the desire to be
everything for our partner, while drowning them with affection and
love. This is also the time when we feel the need to pick on
different things they do, and criticize them to initiate change.
Furthermore, with the New Moon high in the night sky, contradictions,
between what we are saying and our actions are going to be rife.
Whatever you do during this New Moon, always be kind.
November 26, 2019 – New Moon in Sagittarius: Novembers New Moon Brings Balance
Creating balance has definitely been a
theme in the Universe over the last few months and this New Moon also
adds to this energy. This New Moon will be guiding us to create
healthy habits and to balance work and play. While Sagittarius has a
cerebral side, the mythical Centaur is a horse from the waist down.
So as wise and worldly as Sagittarius energy can be, it can also be
rather randy, forever in pursuit of instant gratification and wild
adventure.
November 26, 2019 – New Moon in Sagittarius: Establish New Goals
On the night of the New Moon, we are
all going to be given the opportunity to embrace a new way of being
and to keep moving through this portal of energy so we can evolve,
grow, and renew. The New Moon is a time that promotes all forms of
growth. It is a potent time for writing wishes and goals that
stimulate new beginnings in our lives. We can use the emotional
energy of the Moon to make our desires known during potent New Moon
periods.
Mistakes and a Clean Slate
By aligning ourselves with the natural
rhythms and energy of the Moon, we are able to unlock a strong
Universal force as we strengthen our creative and intuitive energies.
If everything went wrong by the time of the Full Moon and we made
every mistake we could have possibly made, the New Moon gifts us with
a clean slate.
November 26, 2019 – New Moon in Sagittarius: A White Candle Ritual
Try a New Moon Ritual using a white
candle. It is important to use white because the color white
represents clarification, purification, and new beginnings. Make
sure you have a private area to perform the ritual where you will
feel safe and relaxed. You can perform rituals alone or with a group,
but if you are performing one alone, you should have a private area
to do this. If you have a private outdoor space, you can do your
ritual outside, but inside is perfectly fine. Light your white
candle and be prepared. This white candle ritual starts with
open-eyed meditation, allowing the flame to woo you into
peacefulness.
Clearing Your Mind
Read your intentions of what you need,
out loud to the Universe. With each intention that you speak, end
your sentence saying “This or more.” Request the assistance
of the New Moon to help you bring what it is that you want into your
life. Within the stillness, begin releasing any known and unknown
blocks, clearing your mind of psychic debris to make space for
receiving creative solutions. Then remain still and LISTEN. There is
something about focusing on the dance of the flame of a white candle
that is mesmerizing. Does the flame seem to split or flicker a
certain way? Does its light cast a specific silhouette? Pay attention
and journal your observations of those details… and enjoy the
moment.
The name November derives from Latin
for ‘ninth month,’ which is also known as “Novembris mensis.”
Representing the spiritual warrior, this month also acts as a
mirror, reflecting the truth which says that the real battle lies
within us. Now will be the time to stay mindful and concentrate on
the right actions and correct conduct. We can also use the energy
offered to us in November, to help us co-create the life which we
truly want to live. Every one of us can use the energy of November to
bring in more love, gratitude, as well as abundance – all we have
to do is start focusing our attention on what we really want, instead
of on what we do not want.
Venus Enters Sagittarius – A Sense of Adventure
November 1 – Venus enters Sagittarius. This is a Transit that attracts more – you want more and you can get more. There’s a sense of adventure – who knows what might happen and isn’t that the point? This is the time to keep your eyes open and consider what might usually be “impossible.” Take a second look at the romantic prospect of who is not your type, or the source of income that’s unusual and exotic, or the situation that’s a bit outside your comfort zone but still appealing.
November 2019 Astrological Events: Taurids Meteor Shower
November 5-6 – Taurids Meteor Shower.
The Taurids is a long-running minor meteor shower producing only
about 5-10 meteors per hour. It is unusual in that it consists of two
separate streams. The first is produced by dust grains left behind by
Asteroid 2004 TG10. The second stream is produced by debris left
behind by Comet 2P Encke. The First Quarter Moon will set shortly
after midnight leaving dark skies for viewing. Best viewing will be
just after midnight from a dark location far away from city lights.
Meteors will radiate from the constellation Taurus, but can appear
anywhere in the sky.
November 2019 Astrological Events: Transit – Structure and Realism
November 8 – Saturn (Capricorn)
Sextile Neptune (Pisces). These planets work well when Saturn
provides the structure and realism to the dreams of Neptune. It also
makes one sensible about future plans and gives you the ability to
defer gratification for a later date. During this transit you find
the patience to see a project through to the very end, no matter what
obstacles fall in your path. Patience is probably one of its biggest
gifts.
Transit of Mercury – A Time for Correction
November 11 – Rare Transit of Mercury Across the Sun. The planet Mercury will move directly between the Earth and the Sun. This is an extremely rare event that occurs only once every few years. The next transit of Mercury will not take place until 2039. This transit will be visible throughout all of South America and Central America, and parts of North America, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The best place to view this event in its entirety will be the eastern United States, Central America, and South America. This Mercury Transit gives us a valuable opportunity to revisit ground covered in the previous few months and correct any decisions or communications that need further attention.
November 2019 Astrological Events: Full Beaver Moon
November 12 – Full Moon. The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be fully illuminated. This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Beaver Moon because this was the time of year to set the beaver traps before the swamps and rivers froze. It has also been known as the Frosty Moon and the Hunter’s Moon. The energy of a Full Moon (influenced by the current Zodiac transit) is heightened and emotions, feelings, mental processes, dreams, etc are all exaggerated. When the Sun and the Moon oppose each other during a Full Moon, this can cause tension and uneasy friction, but at the same time a greater increase in our vision and potential likelihood of good things coming our way. .
November 2019 Astrological Events: Leonids Meteor Shower
November 17- 18 – Leonids Meteor
Shower. The Leonids is an average shower, producing up to 15 meteors
per hour at its peak. This shower is unique in that it has a cyclonic
peak about every 33 years where hundreds of meteors per hour can be
seen. That last of these occurred in 2001. The Leonids is produced
by dust grains left behind by comet Tempel-Tuttle, which was
discovered in 1865. The shower runs annually from November 6-30. It
peaks this year on the night of the 17th and morning of the 18th. The
Second Quarter Moon will block many of the fainter meteors this year,
but if you are patient you should be able to catch quite a few of the
brightest ones. Best viewing will be from a dark location after
midnight. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Leo, and can
appear anywhere in the sky.
Conjunction of Venus and Jupiter – A Popular Combination
November 24 – Conjunction of Venus and
Jupiter. A conjunction of Venus and Jupiter will be visible on
November 24. The two bright planets will be visible within 1.4
degrees of each other in the evening sky. Look for this impressive
sight in the western sky just after sunset. This aspect stimulates
(for better or for worse) a very active social life. If the subject
is not hosting lavish parties then they will be going to them. This
is a very popular combination where the Venus conjunct Jupiter is
super charming.
A New Moon in Sagittarius – Change is Inevitable
November 26 – New Moon in Sagittarius. Even though it’s very close to being invisible in the sky, a New Moon’s energy brings the start of a new lunar cycle, as well as the beginning of a new personal cycle. True of fire signs, you’re at the forefront of change. This New Moon cycle represents an opportunity to rid us of the ‘junk’ in our lives — material and spiritual. We have the chance to make important changes in our lives, as we are learning to dig deeper into the mysteries around us instead of always being content with the status quo. More cautious souls might find you reckless but they are not all that surprised by how often luck is on your side. Change is inevitable, but in November, change will be for the better.
November 2019 Astrological Events: Mercury and Old Flames
November 28 – Mercury at Greatest
Western Elongation. The planet Mercury reaches greatest western
elongation of 20.1 degrees from the Sun. This is the best time to
view Mercury since it will be at its highest point above the horizon
in the morning sky. Look for the planet low in the eastern sky just
before sunrise. Mercury CAN bring back an old flame, but often it’s
for the purpose of closure, not necessarily because this is the “one
that got away.” Don’t be surprised if you get a Facebook friend
request from someone you dated ages ago or a forgotten childhood
friend. Practice forgiveness. Finish processing what is unresolved
so you can let it go.
Mercury Sextile Saturn – Brings Strength of Mind
November 30 – Mercury (Scorpio)
Sextile Saturn (Capricorn) Mercury rules the reasoning and conscious
mind that forms conclusions. Mercury is intellectual, enjoys
learning, teaches and is communicative. Saturn rules stability,
responsibility and longevity. Saturn is also disciplined and
cautious. Saturn is lasting and will stand the test of time. Saturn
rules time. When an astrological event positions these two planets
together, during this sextile, you have a very disciplined mind,
especially where work and career are concerned. It is the perfect
time for making important decisions.
Failure: The fact of something not working as it should.
I think and think for months, for years. Ninety-nine times the conclusion is false. The hundredth time I am right. ~ Albert Einstein ~
When we can begin to take our failures less seriously, it means we are ceasing to be afraid of them. It is of immense importance to learn to laugh at ourselves. ~ Katherine Mansfield ~
You’ve been beaten down? Well, well,
what’s that? Come up with a smiling face, it’s nothing against you
to fall down flat, but to lie there, that’s disgrace. ~ Edmund Vance
Cooke ~
A man may fall many times, but he won’t
be a failure until he says that someone pushed him. ~ Elmer G.
Letterman ~
Do not be afraid of mistakes, providing
you do not make the same one twice. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt ~
Besides the practical knowledge which defeat offers, there are important personality profits to be taken. Defeat strips away false values and makes you realize what you really want. It stops you from chasing butterflies and puts you to work digging gold. ~ William M. Marston ~
Failure is the foundation of success, and the means by which it is achieved. ~ Lao-tzo ~
Not failure, but low aim, is a crime.
~ Ernest Holmes ~
A life spent making mistakes is not
only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.
~ George Bernard Shaw ~
There are no mistakes. The events we
bring upon ourselves, no matter how unpleasant, are necessary in
order to learn what we need to learn, whatever steps we take, they’re
necessary to reach the places we’ve chosen to go. ~ Richard Bech~
November 12, 2019 – Full Moon – Beaver Moon, Frosty Moon, White Moon, Dark Moon, Trading Moon, Reed Moon.
November 12, 2019 – Full Moon – Beaver Moon- A Full Moon and a “lunar effect” can mean various things to various people. Full Moons amplify our emotions and it is not uncommon to feel a heightened sense of energy, both positive and negative, during this time. The influence of a Full Moon can empower you to step out of your comfort zone and embrace bold changes in your life or step back and reflect on personal issues close to your heart. Here are a few of the names associated with the Full Moon of November.
The Full Moon for November is named after beavers because this is the time they become particularly active building their winter dams in preparation for the cold season. The beaver is mainly nocturnal, so they keep working under the light of the Full Moon. It is the time when hunters set beaver traps before the swamps freeze to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. Beavers make dams of wood and mud. In the middle, they build dome-shaped homes called lodges with underwater entrances. Beavers continue to grow throughout their lives, and so do their teeth. They constantly gnaw on wood, but because the enamel in a beaver’s incisors contains iron, their front teeth never wear down. This month of November, the Full Beaver Moon brings us the message that we are to prepare for the cold winter and not to be caught without spiritual fortification. It is a time to nurture yourself and do things that bring warmth and comfort to your soul. It is an emotional time–a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships. Make sure you take time to thank The Creator, the angels, your guides, and ancestors for all of their help bringing you through this year and to be there to help and guide you in the new year.
Frosty Moon Brings the Chill of Winter – November 12, 2019 – Full Moon – Beaver Moon
The silvery lunar glow of this Full Moon looks especially cold at this time of year, as the warmth of early autumn begins to give way to the chill of winter. It’s easy to envision the Moon’s power in these and many other cultures on long, chilly nights, when the Full Moon of November casts its “frosty” light on the landscape — all night long. The Frosty Moon comes in autumn. The Summer has gone, the nights are frosty and the days are cool. The leaves are falling from the trees and the snow is on its way. The Full Moon of November is large in the sky, and is often called the Frosty Moon. The “spiritual winter” seeks to give us rest, let things that need to die do so, and offers the hope of new growth. If we slow down and let it do its job, then winter becomes something that we can treasure and not just make it through. Winter time is a season when the old is washed away and shortly after, renewal begins. It is a beautiful time of year when we think about it from that perspective.
White Moon and Chinese Goddess Chang-e — Personal Growth
Chinese mythology claims that Ch’ang-O
also called Chang’e is the Chinese Goddess of the Full White Moon.
She does not personify the Moon like other Moon goddesses. She lives
on the Moon and is called the “Woman on the Moon.” On this day
she inspires devotion in all relationships and sends energy for
growth and manifestation in all life areas. This is a day for women
to ask the Moon goddess Ch’ang-O to bless them with good fortune
for the coming year. Ch’ang-O is associated with courage, power
and fertility. You can call upon her for bravery and to break free of
the ties that bind. Ask her for help with personal growth,
manifestation, to believe in oneself, and a fresh start.
Dark Moon and Our Inner Voice – November 12, 2019 – Full Moon – Beaver Moon
Stillness is the key word for this
Celtic Dark Full Moon. Its restful, rich solitude gives you the
chance to hear that inner voice. When the lunar face is hidden, the
intuitive psychic-self takes over. Make space for a clearing of the
mind and spirit, so that you can be ready to receive. Many find the
Dark Moon to be the most powerful time for soul-searching. The
inner-self starts to grow in power, and make its presence known.
Trading Moon – Stocks & Bonds – November 12, 2019 – Full Moon – Beaver Moon
Basically, stock prices tend to be
higher around the time of the New Moon each month and reach a
temporary low point around the time of the Full Moon. Buy and sell
signals based on the phases of the moon are nothing new, as Larry
Williams’s advice of some 20 years ago was, “Buy the full moon
and sell the new moon.” He found that the prices of silver,
wheat, corn and soybean oil rallied around the time of a Full Moon
and dropped at the New Moon. Our mood is clearly a complex animal,
with many artificial and natural factors coming together to influence
our emotional state. Some natural factors, such as this Full Moon,
are affecting the entire world population at the same time, and
appear to be partially responsible for the day to day moves in
financial markets.
Reed Moon and Mourning Moon
The Celts call the November Full Moon
the Reed Moon, comparing the mournful music made by wind instruments
to the ghoulish sounds of spirits being drawn into the underworld.
And not without good reason – this Full Moon is also known as the
Mourning Moon, and marks a dangerous time of the year where people
could easily slip into the underworld with a single misstep. To
avoid this, have trust in yourself and your ability to navigate any
of the challenges ahead. This Full Moon of November is notorious for
staying in the sky longer than other Full Moons. It rises quickly at
sunset, faster than any other Full Moon to rise at that time, and
lingers until morning where it’s energy will continue to loom.
Candle Lighting and a Powerful Affirmation
You can create so much change in your
life by the simple lighting of a candle. Take a fresh candle, say an
affirmation of your request and then light the candle. Tuck your
request underneath its base written out on a piece of paper.
I AM releasing all beliefs, persons and situations, that have prevented me from seeing the array of abundance and opportunities that continuously flow to me. I AM ready to receive it NOW and allow all I desire to come to me.

On October 28, the New Moon will be in
Scorpio. This Moon will be located on the same side of the Earth as
the Sun and will not be visible in the night sky. A New Moon marks
the start of a new Lunar Cycle, as it is in the Moon’s first lunar
phase. During this phase of the Moon, the lunar disk is invisible to
the naked eye. The Moon is very important in its impact on the human
body and our mental health. It begins its journey to a Full Moon as
it will appear first as a tiny little crescent, which will get bigger
and bigger, day by day.
The Magnetic Effect of the New Moon!
The New Moon, just like the Full Moon,
exerts a strong gravitational pull on the elements, including the
human body. The human body, after all, is about 80 percent water.
The Moon is believed to work its mischievous magic by somehow
disrupting the alignment of water molecules in the nervous system.
Researchers believe that sleeping troubles are intensified during the
time of a New Moon. This Moon’s magnetic effect, according to
science, could be bringing heightened emotions to the surface. It
brings about a time of calmness and balance, while also bringing
energy and acceptance that anything can be accomplished.
A Time to Explore our Shadow Side!
While a New Moon is in Scorpio, it can
be loaded with new chances to grow and multiple opportunities to
succeed on various fronts of life. You may excel in everything you
do, if you are sincere and patient. Prepare well and proceed
confidently towards your goals. Hard work can help you turn destiny
in your favor. With the New Moon in Scorpio, we are given a chance
to explore our shadow side. Don’t get too worried because we all
need to integrate our shadow within us at some point. The Scorpio New
Moon can sometimes pack a sting, though, so be prepared for emotional
impacts that could make you feel a little off-course, reckless, or
dangerous.
Bring Calmness Into Your Space!
Today, your wishes and desires can be
very strong. Since there is likely quite a bit of energy present on
this day, it’s best to find a way to bring calmness into your
space, so that you can harness the energy to your benefit. Take a few
cleansing breaths at a quiet time in the evening, light a scented
candle, and chill. This is the time to write down and release what is
getting in the way of the experiences. The New Moon reminds us that
we can always start fresh, and that there are infinite possibilities
awaiting us at all times – if only we stay open to them.
A Time to Be Yourself!
This is a time to be yourself! Say no
to things that don’t work for you, and sing an enthusiastic yes for
the weird things that do. If something sounds too good to be true,
trust your instinct. If the news is coming from someone who has been
eccentric before, don’t even waste your time. Give your true self
to the world and those around you. Now that you love yourself, it’s
time to begin helping others find the highest form of self-love of
their own. Understanding what you want and where you want to go is
crucial to being happy and finding meaning in life.
Friendships – Good and Bad!
Shallow relationships and friendships
will not satisfy you. A shallow friend doesn’t really care for you.
To that person, money is what they are looking for and if you have a
lot of it you’ll probably have lots of shallow friends. Good friends
are good for our health. They keep us mentally and physically
strong. If anyone stands out in your memory as someone you’d like to
know better, reach out. Developing and maintaining good friendships
takes effort. The enjoyment and comfort that good friendship can
provide makes the investment worthwhile.
Smudging, Affirmations and Lists!
The Moon has its phases and so do our
individual wants and needs. This is why it is a good practice to
rededicate your list of intentions each month when another New Moon
cycle returns for a visit. Incense and smudging herbs will help you
cleanse the air and your body for the ritual. Sage is particularly
helpful and it has long been used by Native Americans to clear a
space of negative energy while inviting positive feelings. After
smudging, use a notebook and write down an affirmation statement,
such as, “I accept these things or something better into my life
now for my highest good and for the highest good of all concerned.”
Below this affirmation, begin writing down your desires. As the
month continues, keep track of your progress. Journal if you like or
simply remain mindful of your list of intentions. During the month,
when an item on your New Moon list comes to you, do not merely cross
it off of your list. Take the time to rewrite the list in its
entirety and eliminate the manifested item from the listing.
