July Horoscope

Posted on June 6, 2019August 2, 2019 by Lunar Princess

Change and Opportunities!

Positive changes are coming. Change will offer you opportunities.  It’s time to create a more fulfilling and authentic life. Now is the time to explore what it is that you really like and want. When you take the time to appreciate everything, you begin to see how many great things there are in your life. You will then realize that whatever is changing, it is only one small part of a wonderful life.

July is a Time of Tragedy and Comedy

Motivated by the need to hide true emotion, July is a time of tragedy and comedy. The sensitive Water Element feels the transition of the spring awakening that has deepened into a mid-summer experience of beauty and adventure. Guided by July’s planet, the Moon, we run through the whole gamut of emotions that come with the changing tides. It’s a time to avoid smothering others with our protective love and devotion. July is a month when we tend to hang on to money, and usually store it in savings accounts for a rainy day.

July and Your Finances

July will be great for your finances. Get your money in order now so you can enjoy the new income growth that will begin next month and continue through to October. In terms of energy levels and getting ahead, sharing what you have can lead others to do the same. You are charitable and kinder than usual for the sake of letting your expression be one of love.

July and Adventures

Your relationships, romantic and otherwise, seem to happen suddenly. Most don’t last long, but what an adventure they are. It’s all about taking the simple everyday things you do with your friends that takes the relationship from being a good relationship to a great one. Life is meant to be fun – it’s meant to be an adventure.

July Brings Clarity

July is a time for clarity. Your sleeping mind is psychically active, with colorful dreams and ideas that bubble up from the deeper levels of your psyche. These subconscious thoughts will provide you with an endless supply of answers and guidance. If you don’t understand their messages, you may create a block that could create health problems.  Take some quiet time to meditate.  It will bring you the clarity you seek.

Change and Challenges

July brings unexpected changes in your life. Some things are different than you expected them to be. Try to view this as a challenge and a chance to grow. Understand that change is an inevitable part of life. Enjoy the journey and appreciate that, every step of the way, you can be in a state of constant positive progress. You’re always developing into the person you’re meant to be. Embrace this change for it will turn out to be a positive one.

Boost Your Mood in July

July is the perfect time to boost your mood. You may be getting tired of hearing everyone telling you that you need more exercise. Sure. Exercising is great for you physically. But, it’s also an excellent way to become more positive in life. Exercise can change the direction of most situations in your life. You don’t need to run marathons, just get more active. The benefits of exercise and moving around more, are immeasurable. You gain purpose, drive, but most of all it teaches you a discipline. When you boost your mood, wonderful things start to happen.

July Brings Peace

You have been taking on more responsibility than you can or should handle. Too much responsibility causes stress. Stress and emotions can often feel overwhelming. It’s time to find a healthy outlet to express yourself. Take a break from your worries by doing something you enjoy. Doing things you enjoy is a natural way to relieve stress and find your happy place. Whether it’s gardening or painting, schedule time to indulge your interest.

August Horoscope

Posted on June 8, 2019September 1, 2019 by Lunar Princess

The August soul is intrigued with the Sun, for the Sun is the source of all Life and Strength. The Fire Element of August has Summer in a full bloom of lazy afternoons, beautiful flowers and bright sunshine. It is a time to tolerate and forgive enemies and respect the wisdom of elders. It’s not always easy to communicate during a Sun Sign vibration but loyalty and respect runs deep. August is a time when quarrels are quickly resolved, forgiven and forgotten.

August Brings Summer in Full Bloom

We love flitting from one thing to another in search of the ultimate.  Outside circumstances tend to toss us a curve ball, so watch out for road blocks and don’t be too intense.  Life isn’t always an either/or proposition.  Slow down, think before you act and speak, and try to see the issue the way the other guy does.  Don’t jump to conclusions.

August and Stability

August brings a deep need to establish roots and make our home comfortable, warm and a reflection of our own importance.  Changes in residences in the past have given us good memories and strong feelings of security.  It is also a month that brings ways to make money that are unusual.  Some of these methods may be so far ahead of their time that they border on genius.

August and Adventure

You have a strong love of music and a fondness for beautiful surroundings.  You usually do everything in a big way and have an inclination for travel and adventure.  You know where you want to go, but lack direction.  Instead of spending time in chat rooms on the internet, plan that adventure for the near future.  It will work for you.

August and Reality

Our core beliefs determine our reality.  August brings optimism, even when faced with enormous challenges.  Watch out for being too trusting of smooth talkers with devious plans.  Yoga, meditation or an exercise program will help you overcome these issues.

August Brings Us Back to Nature

It’s time to stop wasting a lot of energy fretting about small things in your life.  You’re a psychic sponge who absorbs the emotions and attitudes of the people around you.  A creative outlet for your emotional energy would be most beneficial. Take a walk to your local park or a nature preserve. Nature can often help us get outside of our minds and appreciate the world around us more.

September Horoscope

Posted on July 28, 2019September 30, 2019 by Lunar Princess

Ruled by Mercury and with the added element of Earth, September can be a month of pressure, mental tension and feelings of disquiet. It’s time to get around positive, nourishing and encouraging people that have the capacity to support us and add to our state of harmony rather than deplete us and knock us off kilter.

September and the Dreamer

Our ideas are original and ahead of our time. When we are positive and enthusiastic about a project, we have the ability to project this and excite others. We possess depth of vision, but the dreamer side of our nature is compassionate and idealistic. We will learn from yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow.

September and Connections

Summer is ending and the first awareness of the coming harvest is in the air. It is a time to understand that to have our own needs met, we must serve others in some way. Volunteering can help counteract the effects of stress, anger, and anxiety. Nothing relieves stress better than a meaningful connection to another person. It’s a time to show kindness to others.

September is a month to bring order out of confusion. If you aren’t where you want to be in life and you want to make a change, then the first step is really knowing that it’s never too late. Today is just as great of a day to start as any other

September and Harmony

Harmony is coming into our lives. When we have a positive focus, then we will tend to attract more positive things. Whereas if we have a negative focus, then we will attract negative things. We know this and are now taking control over where we focus our attention. Where attention goes, energy flows.

September and Friendships

September brings awareness. It is important that we receive respect and are not taken for granted. We feel generous and supportive with the people we love, so it’s time to do something special for them. September brings the ability to make loyal friends as we look for stability and security in our relationships. Having an active social life can bolster our immune system and help reduce isolation, a major contributing factor to depression.

July 16 – Full Moon – Thunder Moon – Hay Moon – Full Buck Moon

Posted on May 27, 2019August 2, 2019 by Lunar Princess

July 16th, 2019 is the night of the Full Moon, Thunder Moon, Hay Moon and Full Buck Moon. Does a Full Moon affect us? Everything has a cycle and reacts according to the way the Universe is laid out. The planets in our Solar System affect us on emotional levels.  This includes the Moon. Because the law of attraction is thought to be at its most powerful during a Full Moon, those who use it wisely can create myriad opportunities for themselves.

July 16, 2019 – “Thunder Moon”  and “Hay Moon”

The name “Thunder Moon,” according the Old Farmer’s Almanac, was adapted from the native people, in what is now the United States, where summer is thunderstorm season, especially in the Northeast and Midwest.

Because thunderstorms are such a defining characteristic of this month, according to Farmer’s Almanac, the Full Moon remains truthful to its name.

July’s Full Moon, known as the “Thunder Moon,” thanks to all the storms that roll through, or as the Sturgeon Moon on the Great Lakes when those fish are easiest to catch, are not the only names for this Moon. Other tribes and early colonists referred to the Full Moon in July as the “Hay Moon.” The “Hay Moon” was a signal to farmers to start storing their hay for winter.

Observing the Moon, sitting comfortably, or lying down on a patch of grass and letting the Full Moon’s light fill our eyes, makes it easy to be reminded of how ancient and everlasting all the celestial bodies are. Watch how it puts your life into perspective. The annoyances, the anxieties and worries from our day fade away as we realize that in life there are bigger things at play, and it is okay to simply open up and exist in the here and now.

July 16, 2019 – “Full Buck Moon”

For many years, natives have called July’s Full Moon the “Full Buck Moon.” This name comes from our Native American and Colonial past when the Moon was used to track the seasons. Bucks are growing new antlers at this time, as deer start to shed the coatings of velvety fur on their antlers, thus the name “Full Buck Moon.”

There are lots of animals that can lose and regrow body parts like this, but deer are the only mammals with this trick. And deer do it really well — antlers have one of the fastest regrowing times out of all of these body parts. Today, scientists are interested in learning more about how the process works in hopes of applying those techniques to human medicine in the future.

July 16, 2019 – Full Moon brings Interesting Encounters

This Full Moon is going to bring about interesting encounters in your personal life, as well as fun and stimulating events. The Full Moon of July often casts an exuberant vibe, making it a great time to have a party. This also opens the door for meaningful people to step into your life. But there is a dark side to this Moon.

The Moon is a planet of the subconscious, and like the tides, it has a sweeping effect on our emotional life. Dealing with the kinds of feelings a Full Moon brings up can be difficult to do alone, so whether you are single or attached, you might want to reach out and connect with someone close to you just to feel less alone. This could also be a great time to plan outings with friends and re-establish connections that might have been put aside over time.

July 16, 2019 – Hot Energy from this Full Moon

Some astrologists believe this July Full Moon can be a dangerous one. According to Astrology King, the position of the Moon directly opposite of the Sun and Mars “creates such intensely hot energy that it will be difficult to control.”

They also warn that if this energy gets out of control, you might experience “serious relationship problems.” This energy may be difficult to control, but with a positive attitude, you can stay composed.

Incoming and outgoing energies must match. You can’t expect to receive great energy if the one you give off is terrible. Act on principle: Even if someone has done something wrong to you, don’t retaliate. Let karma address it.

July 16, 2019 – Stay Calm

The Full Moon is the time to stay calm, let things go, breathe deeply through difficult moments and forgive others for their mistakes. Since you have the full moon power behind you, send healing energy, forgiveness, pink light and loving-kindness to friends, family, colleagues, and strangers.

Make a point to send peaceful energy to the places in the world experiencing strife, hardship, poverty and war. It has huge benefits for them and as a bonus, you create loads of good Karma.

Even without directing your intention, you can help other people around you feel better; and “around you” means the entire planet! Anytime you raise your energetic frequency, you automatically raise the frequency of people you think about.

Great Affirmations for a Full Moon:

I am whole, complete. I maintain balance in myself and my life. I allow and encourage new growth in my life. I let go of attachments that hold me back. I move forward with the intention to heal. I engage with only those who are good for me.

I let go of all which no longer serves me. I allow and encourage new opportunities in my life. I am in alignment with my truest and highest self. I am whole, complete!

September 14, 2019 – Full Moon – Full Corn Moon – Harvest Moon – Dying Grass Moon

Posted on July 28, 2019October 13, 2019 by Lunar Princess

September 14, 2019 – Full Moon – September 14 brings a Full Moon in Pisces. The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be fully illuminated. At this time, the Sun moves in Virgo, the Zodiac sector opposite to Pisces. When the Moon visits Pisces, emotions prevail against rational thinking. Fantasy inclination and over-sensitivity often oppose our common sense. This connection often turns people into dreamers for this short period of time.

More on the Full Corn Moon from Farmer’s Almanac

September 14, 2019 - Full Moon

September Full Corn Moon

This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the “Full Corn Moon” because the corn is harvested around this time of year. The astronomical seasons do not match up with the lunar month. Therefore, the month of the Full Corn or Harvest Moon varies. Usually, it occurs in September.

September 14, 2019 - Full Moon

This Moon is usually known as the Harvest Moon. The Harvest Moon is the Full Moon that occurs closest to the September (or Harvest) Equinox. Farmers can work late into the night by the light of this Moon.  Normally, the Full Moon rises an average of 50 minutes later each night, but for the few nights around the Harvest Moon, the Moon seems to rise at nearly the same time. This phase of the Moon is the most active of the Moon cycles and typically brings with it increased stamina and evening energy.

The Full Moon is also called the “Dying Grass Moon” as it plays into the theme of the changing seasons. At this time of year, crops such as corn, pumpkins, squash, and wild rice are ready for gathering. Most often, the September Full Moon is actually the Harvest Moon, in addition to being named the Dying Grass Moon.  In two years out of three, the Harvest Moon comes in September, but in some years it occurs in October.

September 14, 2019 – Full Moon – The Algonquin Tribes

September 14, 2019 - Full Moon

The Algonquin tribes of what is now the northern and eastern United States, named the first Full Moon of fall the Travel Moon, the Dying Grass Moon, or the Sanguine or Blood Moon. Some sources indicate that the Dying Grass, Sanguine, and Blood Moon are thought to be related to the turning of the leaves and hibernating of plants with the start of fall. Others indicate that that the names Sanguine or Blood Moon are associated with hunting and correspond with the Full Moon after this, the Hunter’s Moon.

The name “Blood Moon” has the characteristic of these autumn Moons that appear full – and rise soon after sunset – for several evenings in a row. When we see this Moon low in the sky, the extra air between us and the Moon makes the Moon look reddish. This is why it is called the Blood Moon.

September Full Moon and Venus

September 14, 2019 - Full Moon

On the evening of the September Full Moon, the brightest of the planets, Venus, will appear at nearly its brightest for this apparition, but also very low near the horizon in the west-southwest, setting right around the time evening twilight ends. To see Venus you will need a clear view of the horizon. Venus will be bright enough to see shortly after sunset while it is still higher in the sky. When Venus is visible in the evening, it is known as Hesperus, Vesper, or the Evening Star. As evening twilight ends, Jupiter, appearing as second brightest planet in the sky.

September 14, 2019 – Full Moon in Pisces

September 14, 2019 - Full Moon

This Full Moon in Pisces may find us drifting and dreaming. We might experience feelings of insecurity, and we may be passive and only want to wait and see what happens in our lives. These Full Moon vibrations could have us more concerned with the thoughts that are dancing through our heads than the realities of our everyday life.

September 14, 2019 – Full Moon and Sharp Intuition

This is the phase of the Moon when we tend to be incredibly sensitive people that have been gifted with a sharp intuition. Our sixth sense is so strong at this time that we often display psychic abilities, and are prone to having prophetic dreams and picking up on things around us that others might miss.

September 14, 2019 - Full Moon

The Moon’s gravitational pull on the Earth is strongest when the Moon is Full, and the light of the Sun illuminates the Moon. The energy and light help you see things in powerful new ways and set plans for moving forward.

September 14, 2019 – Full Moon and Smudging

September 14, 2019 - Full Moon

Create a sacred space with candles and sage smudging. Place a large water-filled bowl in front of you, in the middle of a table. This can be done inside or out, with friends or alone. Place a floating candle into the bowl. Declare what you want to release under this Moon. Allow the candle to keep burning in the bowl as a symbol of the letting go process.

THINGS TO RELEASE

Fear of change, Grief, Shame, Releasing a job, Ending a relationship and the energy attached to it, Belief that you’re not good enough, Comparing yourself to others, Worrying about money, Clinging onto things, Fear of success, Letting go of the need for approval from others, Fear of criticism and judgment, Old beliefs that are no longer serving you.

September 2019 Astrological Events

Posted on August 2, 2019October 5, 2019 by Lunar Princess

September 1 – The Moon’s monthly orbit around the Earth will carry it to its closest point to the Sun – its Perihelion. The Moon’s orbit carries it between the Sun and the Earth, at around the same time that it passes its New Moon phase. It is a great time to be creative and participate in writing, painting or anything else that allows the mind to be inspired.

September Neptune at Opposition

September 9 – Neptune at Opposition. The blue giant planet will be at its closest approach to Earth and its face will be fully illuminated by the Sun. It will be brighter than any other time of the year and will be visible all night long. Also tonight, the Piscid Meteor Shower will reach its maximum rate of activity. Some shooting stars associated with the shower are expected to be visible each night from September to October. To see the most meteors, the best place to look is not directly at the radiant itself, but at any dark patch of sky which is around 30–40° away from it.

September Comet 260P/McNaught

September 11 – Comet 260P/McNaught will make its closest approach to the Sun, at a distance of 1.42 AU. Also, the Moon’s monthly orbit around the Earth will carry it to its furthest point from the Sun – its Aphelion. This happens at around the time when the Moon’s orbit carries it around the far side of the Earth as seen from the Sun, as it passes its Full Moon phase. This reminds us that we are not infallible, that we should remain humble and in a constant state of self-reflection on our path to spiritual enlightenment.

September Moon at Apogee

September 13 – The Moon will be at Apogee. The Moon will reach the furthest point along its orbit to the Earth and will appear slightly smaller than at other times. The Moon’s distance from the Earth varies because its orbit is not perfectly circular – it is instead slightly oval-shaped, tracing out a path called an Ellipse. During this time it is common to feel shy and experience sensitive feelings. It is a good time to stay away from crowds and to keep the focus on ourselves.

September Full Corn Moon

September 14 – Full Moon. The Moon will be located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun and its face will be will be fully illuminated. This Full Moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Corn Moon because the corn is harvested around this time of year. This Moon is also known as the Harvest Moon. The Harvest Moon is the Full Moon that occurs closest to the September Equinox each year. This phase of the Moon is the most active of the Moon cycle and typically brings with it increased stamina and evening energy.

September Piscid Meteor Shower

September 21 – The Piscid meteor shower will reach its maximum rate of activity tonight.. Some shooting stars associated with the shower are expected to be visible each night from September through October. Now is the time to start on a new path with the clarity that is reborn within us, as certainty and self-possession are reignited in our soul.

September Autumn Equinox

September 23 – Autumn Equinox. The Sun will shine directly on the Equator and there will be nearly equal amounts of day and night throughout the world. This is also the first day of fall in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of spring in the Southern Hemisphere. Spiritually speaking, fall represents the Harvest time of year, a time to acknowledge abundance as our natural state of being. Our lives go through cycles of growth, harvest, death, and rebirth just as we see in nature.

September Moon and M44

September 24 – The Moon and M44 will make a close approach today. The pair will be visible in the dawn sky, approximately 4 hours and 43 minutes before the Sun – and reaching an altitude of 45° above the horizon before fading from view as dawn breaks. This connection serves as a reminder that all things are in transit on their own journey. We cannot forget to keep moving forward on our own.

September Asteroid 21 Lutetia

September 27 – Asteroid 21 Lutetia will be well placed for observation, lying in the constellation Pisces, well above the horizon for much of the night. This is when 21 Lutetia will reach its highest point in the sky at around midnight. It is a time for awakening our higher minds. We must forgive ourselves our past mistakes and accept them as having passed. We must recognize our own shortcomings and decide to address them.

September 28 – New Moon. The Moon will locate on the same side of the Earth as the Sun and will not be visible in the night sky. This is the best time of the month to observe faint objects such as galaxies and star clusters because there is no moonlight to interfere. The New Moon is symbolic of the second chance we are given over and over again. This New Moon gifts us with a clean slate.

September Moon and Mercury

September 29 – The Moon and Mercury will share the same right ascension, with the Moon passing 6°14′ to the north of Mercury. Unfortunately, the pair will not be observable – they will reach their highest point in the sky during daytime and will be no higher than 2° above the horizon at dusk. While the Moon determines how we process our feelings and moods, Mercury reflects our communication style and the impact it has on our lives. It’s a time of feeling the need to define our feelings rather than experiencing them. Don’t let this time last too long. Expressing your feelings is good for your emotional health.

September Musings

“The first flash of color always excites me as much as the first frail, courageous bloom of spring. This is, in a sense, my season–sometimes warm and, when the wind blows an alert, sometimes cold. But there is a clarity about September. On clear days, the sun seems brighter, the sky more blue, the white clouds take on marvelous shapes; the Moon is a wonderful apparition, rising gold, cooling to silver; and the stars are so big. The September storms–the hurricane warnings far away, the sudden gales, the downpour of rain that we have so badly needed here for so long–are exhilarating, and there’s a promise that what September starts, October will carry on, catching the torch flung into her hand.” ― Faith Baldwin, Evening Star.

August 15, 2019 Full Moon – Sturgeon Moon – Green Corn Moon – Fruit Moon

Posted on June 2, 2019September 1, 2019 by Lunar Princess

August 15 brings a Full Moon. This Full Moon is called the “Sturgeon Moon,” because of the great number of this huge freshwater fish that could once be found in lakes and rivers in North America. Other names for this Full Moon include: “Green Corn Moon,” “Grain Moon,” “Fruit Moon,” and “Barley Moon,” all inspired by various crops that can be harvested in August.

August Full Moon – Lunar Phases

Many of the Moon’s nicknames have come to us from Native American culture.   Their way of life has them believing that their cycles of the lunar phases of the Full Moon, are as important a method of timekeeping as the longer solar cycle of the year.  This is defined by the motion of the sun, from which the modern Gregorian calendar is derived.  The number of Moon names differs slightly from tribe to tribe.

August Full Moon – Native American Tribes

This Moon phase will rise later each day, becoming prominent later in the night. Within a few days, it will only be visible in the pre-dawn and early-morning sky.  Some Native American tribes called the August Moon the “Sturgeon Moon” because they knew that the sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this Full Moon.

Take the advice of Native Americans and connect with what brings you joy and share that with others. Don’t overthink; just find pleasure in your ability to be you. Your focus will be to balance your mind and body through creativity, through play, and through movement.

August Full Moon – Green Corn Moon, Grain Moon

The August Full Moon has many nicknames — “Green Corn Moon” and “Grain Moon.” They can be traced to the Native American harvesting ceremonies that began at the end of summer.

The Green Corn Ceremony was typically held in late June or early July, and the Mature Green Corn Ceremony would take place 45 days later, according to Cherokee.org.

August Full Moon – Full Fruit Moon

Europeans called this Full Moon the “Full Fruit Moon,” as a number of fruits ripen as the end of Summer approaches, and the “Barley Moon,” for the harvesting and threshing of the barley.

This Moon is also known as the Fruit Moon because this is the time of year when the apples, plums, peaches, grapes and berries are at their ripest and heavy with juice. Just as the fruit turns to it’s most saturated hue so will the sky begin to arrest us with displays of opulent color, signaling the days turning shorter. Even as we enjoy nature’s visual display coupled with a perfectly ripe piece of fruit in the warm summer night, other perfectly ripe fruit is falling onto the ground uneaten and beginning to decay, representing the many stages of life.

During this Full Fruit Moon, you might want to gather your fruits, vegetable and other staples, honor your ancestors, keep in touch with your siblings, ask for forgiveness, and let go of those old grudges.

August Full Moon – Evening Twilight

The Full Moon represents our emotional body and subconscious. The part of us that we typically keep hidden or buried under our social personality. During the time of a Full Moon, all of that comes to the surface, asking to be seen. This is why we feel extra emotional, or as some say, the crazy comes out. It’s not that we are crazy, but it can be uncomfortable to feel all the feels.

By the evening of the Full Moon, as evening twilight ends, Venus will be near its brightest but will be setting in the west-southwest, Jupiter will have regained its customary position as the second brightest planet in the sky, appearing in the southwest about 12 degrees above the horizon.

Energy of the Full Moon

The energy of the Full Moon is heightened at this time, and emotions, feelings, mental processes, dreams etc. are all amplified. When the Sun and Moon oppose each other during a Full Moon, it can cause tension and awkward friction, but at the same time, bring a greater expansion of visions and potential possibilities. This is a compelling time of gratitude, gracefully acknowledging the beauty of life itself, and all you have brought into existence.

Once you start looking up and observing the Full Moon, you’ll want to get outside more and more to get a better view. This is a wonderful time to enjoy the fresh air and gain perspective. Remember how tiny you are—how your small, significant life is connected to all others. Recite the words to that ancient lullaby: “I see the moon and the moon sees me, God bless the moon and God bless me.”

The Full Moon and Nature

“The Moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The Moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished.” ― Deng Ming-Dao, Everyday Tao: Living with Balance and Harmony.

The Full Moon of August

“There were nights for instance, especially in August, where the view of the Full Moon from the top of the Acropolis hill or from a high terrace could steal your breath away. The Moon would slide over the clouds like a seducing princess dressed in her finest silvery silk. And the sky would be full of stars that trembled feebly, like servants that bowed before her. During those nights under the light of the August Full Moon, the city of Athens would become an enchanted kingdom that slept lazily under the sweet light of its ethereal mistress.” ― Effrosyni Moschoudi, The Necklace of Goddess Athena.

The Seven Chakras

Posted on April 28, 2019August 3, 2019 by Lunar Princess

The Seven Chakras in the body are energy centers that start at the top of your head and end at the bottom of your spine. They regulate all parts of your bodily systems, influencing everything from emotional processing to resistance to disease. When a chakra is not functioning properly, or if it is blocked, illness is more prone to occur.

Sometimes chakras become blocked because of stress, emotional or physical problems. If the body’s “energy system” cannot flow freely, it is likely that problems will occur.

Chakra 1 – The Root or Base
Its color is red, crystal is the Red Jasper, and it is located at the perineum, base of your spine. It is the Chakra closest to the earth. Its function is concerned with earthly grounding and physical survival. This Chakra is associated with your legs, feet, bones, large intestine and adrenal glands. When your first chakra is balanced, you will feel a sense of accomplishment and peace when you think about things like money, safety and shelter.

Chakra 2 – The Sacral or Navel Chakra
Its color is orange, crystal is the Carnelian, and it is located between the base of your spine and your navel. It is associated with your lower abdomen, kidneys, bladder, circulatory system and your reproductive organs and glands. It is concerned with emotion. This chakra represents desire, pleasure, sexuality, procreation and creativity. When your second chakra is balanced, you will relish in the pleasurable things life has to offer, without overdoing them.

Chakra 3 – The Solar Plexus
Its color is yellow, its crystal is the Citrine, and it is located a few inches above the navel in the solar plexus area. This chakra is concerned with your digestive system, muscles, pancreas and adrenals. It is the seat of your emotional life. Feelings of personal power, laughter, joy and anger are associated with this center. When your third chakra is balanced, you will feel a sense of wisdom, decisiveness and personal power.

Chakra 4 – The Heart
Its color is green, its crystal is the Moss Agate, and it is located within your heart. It is the center of love, compassion, harmony and peace. The Asians say that this is the house of the soul. This Chakra is associated with your lungs, heart, arms hands and thymus gland. When your fourth chakra is balanced, you are able to equally feel love for yourself and others.

Chakra 5 – The Throat
Its color is blue or turquoise, its crystal is the Dumortierite, and it is located within the throat. It is the Chakra of communication, creativity, self-expression and judgment. It is associated with your neck, shoulders, arms, hands, thyroid and parathyroid glands. When your throat chakra is balanced, you will be able to clearly speak with love, kindness and truth.

Chakra 6 – The Third Eye (or Brow Chakra)
Its color is Indigo (a combination of red and blue), its crystal is the Labradorite, and it is located at the center of your forehead, at eye level or slightly above. This Chakra is used to question the spiritual nature of our lives. It is the Chakra of question, perception and knowing. A balanced Third Eye is a beautiful thing, and it’s really what you are trying to achieve when you start on a path to spiritual development.

Chakra 7 – The Crown
Its color is violet, its crystal is the Amethyst, and it is located at the top of your head. It is associated with the cerebral cortex, central nervous system, and the pituitary gland. It is concerned with information, understanding, acceptance and bliss. Balancing this Chakra brings us happiness, good health and wisdom.

The Clear Quartz Crystal

The Master of all healing crystals is the Clear Quartz Crystal and should be used with other crystals for maximum results.  Clear Quartz Crystals encourage clarity of thought and purpose to one’s heart and mind.  Clear Quartz is known as the “master healer” and will amplify energy and thought, as well as the effect of other crystals. It absorbs, stores, releases and regulates energy. Clear Quartz draws off negative energy of all kinds, and balances the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual planes. The use of clear quartz crystals facilitates the harmonious vibrations in all seven chakra centers at the same time while holding precise alignment with the light.

The openness and flow of energy through our chakras determines our state of health and balance. Keeping a chakra open is not difficult when you have awareness. Being fully aware of all the Seven Chakras, their respective colors, crystals, and the organs they impact, will help you notice the improvements you can bring to your body.  If you have an area of concern, consider wearing the crystal related to your problem area.  Either alone or in jewelry, that flow of energy from the crystal should bring good energy.  Including a clear quartz crystal in your jewelry of choice can only be a positive.

Yoga postures have been recognized as a fantastic technique to release stuck or stagnant energy out of the body. The Chakra Essential oils also form an important part of Chakra healing and are generally used when combined with massage techniques. Forgiveness is one of the most important ways to heal blockages in the chakras. If forgiveness is true and unconditional, amazing healing occurs in all areas of the body.

Summer Solstice & Astrology

Posted on May 2, 2019December 1, 2019 by Lunar Princess

The Summer Solstice, June 21, 2019, brings that powerful planetary moment when the tilt of the Earth brings us closest to the Sun. The Summer Solstice is the day with the most hours of sunlight of the whole year. The word “solstice” comes from the Latin word, solstitium—from sol (Sun) and stitium (standing), reflecting the fact that on the solstice, the Sun appears to stop moving in the sky as it reaches its northern- or southernmost point. After the Solstice, the Sun appears to reverse course and head back in the opposite direction.

Summer Solstice and the Longest Day of the Year

There are two Equinox points each year (spring and autumn) and two Solstice points (summer and winter). During the Summer Solstice, the Sun will appear to stop and then begin declining in the slightest way each day in a southward direction. The date of the Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year because at that point the Sun stops right over the Tropic of Cancer which is the northernmost point.

This the time to acknowledge the part of the Sun’s cycle that has such a great impact on earth, where rewards are reaped from the harvest.  It is the perfect time to spend quality time outdoors to soak up powerful Sun energy, show heartfelt gratitude and celebrate the abundance and blessings that are in our lives.

Tropic of Cancer

At the Summer Solstice, Earth is positioned in its orbit so that our world’s North Pole is leaning most toward the Sun. As seen from Earth, the Sun is directly overhead at noon 23 1/2 degrees north of the equator, at an imaginary line encircling the globe known as the Tropic of Cancer – named after the constellation Cancer the Crab.

The tropics, which includes the Tropic of Cancer, account for 36 percent of the Earth’s landmass and is home to about a third of the world’s population. The weather is warm all-year-round, averaging 25 to 28 degrees Celsius (77 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit). This is because the tropics get more exposure to the Sun. The Tropic of Cancer was named because at the time of its naming, the Sun was positioned in the Cancer constellation during the Summer Solstice.

The Ocean and Healing

Since Cancer is associated with the ocean, this can be likened to our depth of creativity. The ocean waves are like the heartbeats of the earth – their motion is constant. They unconsciously remind us that we are part of something larger – part of a natural rhythm that needs no effort on our part to continue. By getting in touch with that rhythm, we are better able to get in touch with ourselves.

Spend as much time on near the ocean as possible – you can walk on the beach near the ocean or swim in the ocean itself. All these activities are linked to the ocean’s healing abilities.  Ocean healing is a very accessible and easy method to heal your mental and physical body.

Celebration of the Return to Light

The Summer Solstice is a celebration of the return to light, and it so powerfully reminds us of the Light within each of us. It is about awakening, or reaching Enlightenment, as an omnipotent symbol of ascension and the ultimate triumph of Light over Darkness.

The Summer Solstice gives us a window to step into the personal power we have cultivated this past year and to manifest it as a new habit, a new relationship, a new way of being in your body. We can’t hurry things, but if we just relax and let go, things will reach their fullness without effort or the striving of ego on our part.

Summer Solstice Rituals

Celebrations have been held in conjunction with the Solstice in cultures around the world for hundreds of years. Among these is Sankthans, or “Midsummer,” which is celebrated on June 24 in Scandinavian countries. In 2016, the people of Ålesund, Norway, set a world record for the tallest bonfire with their 155.5-foot celebratory bonfire.

Many Native American tribes took part in solstice rituals, some of which are still practiced today. The Sioux, for instance, performed a ceremonial sun dance around a tree while wearing symbolic colors. Many cultures still celebrate the summer solstice. Midsummer festivities are especially popular in Northern Europe where bonfires are lit, girls wear flowers in their hair and homes are decorated with garlands and other greenery.

Summer Solstice and Stonehenge

Stonehenge, in England, was built in three phases between about 3,000 B.C. and 1,600 B.C., and its purpose remains under study. However, it’s known that if you stand in just the right place inside the Stonehenge monument on the day of the Summer Solstice, facing northeast through the entrance towards a rough-hewn stone outside the circle – known as the Heel Stone – you will see the sun rise.

Stonehenge has been a popular spot to celebrate this day because it was built to directly align with the solstices. But only during the Summer Solstice specifically does the rising sun reach the middle of the stones and shine on the central altar. There are those who believe Stonehenge was built with the guidance of higher forces who left sacred stone markers throughout the planet that allow human consciousness to remember that it was not born of this physical planet but came here as spirit, to return one day.

Summer Solstice Bonding

The Summer Solstice is a time of light and of fire. It is a time to reflect upon the growth of the season: the seeds that were planted in the earth and the seeds planted in our souls. It is a time of cleansing and renewal. It is a time of love and growth as well.

With the warmth of the season caressing the land, the celebration of the Summer Solstice brings forth a truly joyous recognition that we can now enjoy the fruits of our labors in the past season.  It is not surprising that this same spirit of pleasure and fun had carried over into our modern-day recognition of this, the longest day of the year.

This Summer Solstice is a great time to bond with your friends and family members. People should spend the days around the time of the Solstice with their close friends and family, developing connections and allowing themselves to feel happy and loved with those that are important to them.

June 17 – Full Moon in Sagittarius! Strawberry Moon – Rose Moon – Hot Moon

Posted on May 5, 2019July 1, 2019 by Lunar Princess

This Full Moon in June is known as the Strawberry Moon. One reason is because the relatively short season for harvesting strawberries comes each year during the month of June. The Algonquin tribes of Native Americans named it the Strawberry Moon, as it appears at the time of year when they would harvest their strawberries. In other parts of the world, it is also known as the Honey Moon, Hot Moon and Full Rose Moon.

June is the month where strawberries are finally ripe enough to be picked, according to Farmer’s Almanac. Starting as light green and tasteless, they, over time, form plump, juicy, sweet, and reddened berries that are just begging to be eaten. Could there possibly be anything that gets us more excited for the month of June than the idea of eating fresh strawberries!

Strawberries are most often used in work that promotes friendship, love, kindness, sweet temperament, sensuality, beauty, and good fortune. Strawberry fruit is believed to possess a gentle aphrodisiac effect, and the leaves are often used as good luck charms.

If the name “Strawberry Moon,” wasn’t sweet enough already, there are even more names associated with the June Full Moon. Because not all regions grow strawberries during this time of the year, it’s additionally known as the “Rose Moon” and the “Hot Moon” in certain places.

The Rose of the “Rose Moon” represents love more than any other, not just romantic love but also God’s love, and the love of the angels. It is a soft scent coming from a flower that resonates at a higher frequency, closer to the angels. Angels and roses go hand in hand, and it is a known sign that angels are near if you can smell roses where none exist. With its roots deeply immersed in the dark soil of Earth Mother and its shining blossoms turned towards the light of Sky Father, it embraces both light and dark, male and female within itself. And so the rose teaches us to embrace everything, to unite the pairs of opposites and become whole.

June, the month that marks the culmination of spring and the launch of summer, is when roses are finally able to bloom in their fullest glory, spreading their velvety and perfumed petals wide open for the admiring. Since this is also the month in which the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year takes place, it makes perfect sense that it would also be known as the Hot Moon.

This Full Moon of June has other names in other parts of the world. In Europe, you may hear it called the Honey Moon, Mead Moon or the Full Rose Moon. In the Southern Hemisphere, it can go by Oak Moon, Cold Moon or Long Night Moon.

The Honey Moon is another name of the Full Moon seen in the month of June. Europeans called June’s full Moon the Honey Moon or the Mead Moon. Mead is created by fermenting honey mixed with water, sometimes adding fruits, spices, grains, or hops. Another name for this Full Moon is the Honey Moon. According to Wikipedia: “In ancient times honeymoon referred to the time of year when bee honey was ripe and cured to be harvested from hives or from the wild, which made it the sweetest time of the year.” This was usually around the Summer solstice at the end of June. The tradition of calling the first month of marriage the “honeymoon” may be tied to the custom of marrying in June, that was thought to make the “honeymoon” the sweetest month of the year.

There’s no denying that each month, the Full Moon comes crashing in with a wave of energy. But you don’t have to get swamped by it — ride it! Grounded, stable, and hard working are key words for this June Full Moon. In fact during this Full Moon, everything will be magnified, both good and bad. Therefore, this Full Moon should be viewed both as a time of crisis as well as a time of opportunity. It depends on our overall state and activity during the Full Moon day to cultivate its positive and negative effects. Many insights can come at this time! If you can’t sleep, use the time to dance, journal, or do something creative. Creative energies are heightened at the Full Moon.

This unique Full Moon brings unusual vibrations. The time is right under this Moon for change and new opportunities in your life. This Moon stage represents a wave of new possibilities and time for change, so, like a New Year’s resolution, it’s the time to jump into new experiences and take chances. Stay calm and relax the mind during this Full Moon day to avoid possible emotional and mental fluctuations.

A Full Moon night is an especially potent time for a smudging ritual, as after facing and releasing the negatives in your life, you can ceremoniously clear them away with the smoke of sacred sage. To perform the ritual, simply burn the dried sage bundle, keeping a ceramic/fire-safe dish underneath to catch the ashes, and simply waft it around your entire body (at about a two-feet long distance). As you do so, you can again set an intention such as, “I release all that no longer serves me for my highest good.”

Another way to take advantage of the strong vibrations of a Full Moon is to cleanse and relax your mind.  Relaxing the mind can be done with affirmations. It is appropriate to use positive affirmations during the Full Moon. Repeat your favorite affirmation for at least three minutes, preferably outside under this Full Moon.

My world has an abundance of love, peace, and compassion.
I remember to remind myself that I deserve the best.
I know that I have the power to attract into my life anything I desire.
I always progress emotionally in the right direction.

The energy of a Full Moon can be good for you if you use it right. It can increase the level of your positive energy and it can definitely stir your emotions. The best way to embrace this energy is to stay calm. During the Full Moon, emotions are magnified. The time of the Full Moon is a powerful energy healing opportunity, an optimum time for meditating, recharging your energy field, and clearing your Chakras.

That is why so many cultures have Full Moon rituals and ceremonies—there’s so much pure energy in the Moonlight that anything it touches can’t help but respond to its radiance and love.

An even more primal way to connect to the Full Moon is in experiencing Nature beneath its light. Go out and breathe the fresh air, listen to the sounds of the night, and look inward and outward, at the millions of people throughout all of time who stood in your place, one with the world. The Moon shines on you as it shone on them, as it will shine on others after we are gone.

Celebrating the Magic of a Full Moon

  • Write down what you want to release, rip it up and burn it.
  • Light a candle for those you love.
  • Light a candle for those you’ve lost.
  • Honor your ancestors with incense, candles and chanting or singing.
  • Write a letter to a passed over loved one and burn it to send it off to them. (They will be there watching you write it!)
  • Put your crystals out by the window to clear and charge them.
  • Clear your home with white light, and Smudging with sage.
  • Start a gratitude journal.
  • Go outside when it’s dark and just sit and absorb the Moon’s energy.

Auras and Their Meanings

Posted on May 12, 2019August 3, 2019 by Lunar Princess

All things have energy. It’s the way you send out vibrations, or awareness. As human beings, we radiate a very low level of electricity that’s otherwise known as an electromagnetic field. Vibrations are short for vibrational frequency, which is what an aura is comprised of.

My Aura

Each of us has our own aura that reflects our personal energy and affects our ability to connect with others. Our Aura is formed from the energies around our body. This energy field not only goes around us, but throughout and into our body. Our aura interacts with other people’s auras and this is how we are affected by others. Auras are not only beautiful, but helpful in understanding what someone is thinking and feeling.

Our Auras Tell Much About Us

Auras vibrate to different colors, sounds, and lights. The color spectrum varies with our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual state. This aura reflects much about us. It can read our mental and physical health. For best results, we should be willing to meditate to see Auras.

The healthiest Auras (regardless of their color) can he described as clean and bright. People with healthy Auras typically enjoy good physical and emotional health, good luck, and prosperity. What we take in through our eyes and ears and what we think affects the strength and coloration of our Aura.

Auras and Better Health and Stability

Aura colors represent different things, and to be able to see auras enables a person to manipulate energy fields for better health and stability. When a person maintains their bio-energy system in a flowing, open and balanced way, they will experience health and good emotional, mental and spiritual well being.

Some people’s Auras are more sensitive and susceptible to influence from outside energies, whereas other people tend to have less sensitive Auras.

Aura Color Vibration Meanings

Deep red: Grounded, strong will power, survival oriented
Dark red: Anger, survival instincts awakened,
Clear red: Energetic, competitive, sexual, passionate, zest for life
Orange: Vitality, vigor, creative, stamina, courageous, passion
Orange-yellow: Scientific, detail oriented, perfectionist, very ambitious
Yellow: Creative, playful, identity, awareness, sunshine and happiness
Yellow-green: Passionate, communicative, too critical
Green: Nature, growth, balance, love, open heart
Dark green: Jealousy, low self-esteem, resentment
Blue: Cool, calm, sensitive, expression, peace
Dark blue: Fear of self-expression, lonliness
Indigo: Intuitive, visionary, clear minded
Violet: Visionary, divine wisdom, enlightenment
Purple: Strength of the spiritual
Silver: Abundance, nurturing
Bright pink: Sensitive, artistic, affection, compassion, purity
Dark pink: Immature, gentle nature
Gold: Enlightenment, wisdom, intuitive thinker, very spiritual
White: Purity, unity, transcendent
Grey: Not a clear thinker, sadness
Black: Negative energy, physical pain, need for healing.

Auras Radiate While Surrounding the Body

Auras appear as a shimmering, multi-colored field, radiating from the heart or the head, while surrounding the body. A person skilled in the practice of the Metaphysical can interpret a person’s state of mind and their spiritual and personal health by observing their Aura.

Everything in our Universe vibrates because life is animated and expends energy. The expending of energy releases tell-tale signs, leaving behind distinct patterns, much like energetic fingerprints. All living beings emit signals and evidence of their existence. Light, heat, sound waves, etc. are all evidences or residual impressions (like fingerprints) left behind as a bi-product of simply living.

Auras and How We Feel

With practice, it is not difficult to see auras. A good way to begin is to practice sensing them. That means paying attention to how you feel in someone’s presence. Take a deep breath, exhale and then focus on the physical sensations in your body and your gut reaction. Ask yourself how being around the person makes you feel–serene? jumpy? agitated? Think about what color you would attach to this person. As your abilities are enhanced, sensing and seeing auras will become easier. The brightness of a person’s aura has a lot to do with how they feel. If they feel happy and full of life their aura is stronger, larger and brighter. Try playing your partner’s favorite music to help energize his or her aura and make it easier to see.

Your own personal Aura may best be picked up by your peripheral vision. That is, if you focus on it, you won’t see it. But if you look away, you may begin to see colors or light arise.  Your emotions and experiences are said to have a real-time impact on your Aura. This means that if your Aura is dim now, it likely won’t stay that way forever.  There are several ways to go from Negative to Positive color vibrations in your Aura.  More on that in another post.

Our Ever-Changing Auras

Auras expand and retract throughout the day as a reaction to what the environment or people in the environment are sending out. For example, if you are around those you are comfortable with your aura will be a bit larger because you feel more comfortable sending out your energy. However, if you are in a hostile or unfamiliar surrounding you may contract your aura as a form of protection. Similarly if you are tired your aura will contract and become muted or muddy, but if you are rested it should be relatively vibrant and expansive, provided you rested well.

Aura Guided Meditation

Here are the four steps to the aura meditation practice that fosters healing:

1. Breathe deeply and slowly at first, sensing the presence of the bio energy “life force” within you.
2. Feel this energy flowing through you and imagine that it’s cleansing you.
3. Visualize this energy within your body radiating more and more. See if you can see/sense the color of the energy.
4. While visualizing the energy (and color if possible), direct this nourishing energy to the area of the body that needs healing (e.g. areas of the body where pain resides, or feel weak.)

Spend 3-5 minutes per step.

Smudging for Positive Energy

A great way to cleanse your aura of negative energies is Smudging. Burning sage is an ancient tradition used to clear rooms or people of negative energy. If our aura is clear and strong, it will guide us and put us in the position to live the best life we know we deserve and desire.

A smudge kit usually consists of four of five pieces, each representing one of the four or five elements (Earth, Fire, Water, Air, and sometimes Spirit or life energy):

A shell (abalone shell is most often used) to represent Water
Unlit herbs to represent Earth
Lit herbs to represent Fire
Smoke to represent Air

Sage is one of the most popular plants used for smudging, as the smoke carries an amazing fragrance that lifts the spirits. Even though sage grows abundantly in many locations, the most commonly used sage for burning and ceremonies is desert sage, or white sage.

Our Auras

“Our Aura contains the energy of our thoughts, actions, sickness, and also our attitudes. Through the action of our thoughts each day, we can either expand the light we hold within or contract it with feelings of hopelessness and failure.”  ~ Anonymous

Auras – From Negative to Positive

Posted on May 13, 2019August 3, 2019 by Lunar Princess

We all have an Aura! Our Aura reflects our current condition. People who are sick or emotionally upset have weak, shadowy Auras, while healthy, happy people have Auras that are strong and bright. To have a strong positive Aura means you have a strong healthy body, well-balanced, psychological and emotional health, and a spiritual maturity and strength. A weak or negative Aura indicates physical illness or disease, conflicted emotions, unresolved psychological issues, any/or limited spiritual development.

The human Aura is both an energy field and a reflection of the subtle life energies within the body. These energies make us what we are, and in turn, are affected by our surroundings and life style. The Aura reflects our health, character, mental activity and emotional state. It may also show disease, often long before the onset of symptoms.

The color of the Aura is impacted by health—both physical and mental—what we are experiencing in the moment, and how we “run” our energy most of the time. Drug use, trauma, prayer, and healing work can all change the substance of the Aura for better or worse. What we spend our time thinking about, viewing, doing, and believing, all have an impact on the quality of our Aura.

When people realize that their Aura is on display and many people are able to see it, they will watch what they think. And they will try to see and improve their own Aura. In the process they will become better and wiser, being able to recognize intentions of other people.

When you are depressed, your psychic energy is also depressed. Negative emotions like fear and anxiety create blockages to our physical energy as well as our emotional energy and Aura. When you can clear your Aura of negativity, you have freedom from what is holding you back.

The Aura, just like our physical forms, can be neglected. This leads to all sorts of problems, not to mention mood disorders like depression and anxiety. Your energy field can become cluttered with emotional baggage or blocked energy. Don’t let this negative energy weaken you in body and spirit.

From Negative to Positive

Surround yourself with sunlight. Spending as much time in the sunshine with nature is, for the Aura, like honey to a bee. Try to get as close to the Earth as you possibly can, whether that means hugging a tree, smelling flowers, walking barefoot, or meditating.

Take a walk in the rain. Forget where you have to be, what you have to do, and who you need to be and just give yourself to a rainwater cleanse.

Practice Forgiveness. Not only letting go of the pain in your past but forgiving the person who caused it, can clear the negative energy from your Aura. Instead of focusing on your wounded feelings, and thereby giving power over you to the person who caused you pain, look for the love, beauty, and kindness around you.

Be aware. Recognize when the emotions that you feel belong to someone else. If your spouse is angry, identify that emotion and acknowledge it, but remind yourself that it is their anger, not yours. When someone is trying to bring you down, it’s more a reflection of them as a person, and their relationship with themselves, than of your worth.

Have a shower in the morning and imagine the water washing away all of your negative energy down the drain, and the water filing you with white light and love. Drinking at least one large glass of water upon waking up will help a lot, too. Water is naturally grounding.

Try Smudging to get rid of any bad energy. The fragrant smoke from burning herbs or resins has been used for cleansing negative energy for centuries. Most people interested in clearing energy start with sage. It is the smoke from burning the sage that purifies. Using a sage bundle or stick incense, light the end, let it burn a few moments, and blow it out. The end should be glowing red, with smoke coming out of it. Move the smoke over and around you, or the person to be cleansed.

Change your thoughts, improve your mood. Take your energy from negative to positive. Listen to good music. Seek out a good laugh. The vibrational tones of certain sounds can be very soothing and offer cleansing and release of tensions from our bodies. Try a Tibetan singing bowl, chimes or ceremonial drum to bring peace.

Gratitude is an important tool to change your Aura. An ungrateful person will have a dull, gray Aura and keep attracting negativity in life. On the other hand, belief in the Law of Abundance brings positivity and the gifts life has to offer. Be grateful for all that you have and keep praying and giving your thanks for it.

Do good and be good. This is the simplest way to change your Aura and your life. Try giving for a month. Give to a charity or volunteer your time and energy to people in need. Soon you will start receiving abundance. Believe in this powerful law and you will change your life.

Take full responsibility for your life. Your thoughts and your actions are important to creating a more positive life. Positivity is a step-by-step process when you do it solo, but a positive group of friends can be a blessing.

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habit.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny

We Create our Reality – With Karma

Saying you have luck, good or bad, puts you in a victim mentality. This is similar to saying things “happen to you.” Nothing happens to you. You earn it through your thoughts, words, and actions. You create your world by your attitude and actions. If you have the attitude that “bad” things happen to you. You will seek them out. Your consciousness vibrates at a frequency that attracts what you are thinking and believing.

Good Karma Brings Peace and Happiness

By seeking to do the right thing in any given situation, we, as well as those around us, will become conditioned for peace and happiness in a very real and concrete sense. Likewise, through negative actions we condition ourselves, as well as those around us, for suffering now and in the future.  You can’t control the behavior of others, but your reactions and actions will dictate your path.  Understand that the way you treat people is a reflection of how you feel about yourself.

Astrology and Horoscopes Explained: Early Astrology

The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn were the seven traditional planets known to all ancient astrologers. The three modern planets comprise Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, which joined the family during the last four centuries.

The Moon has an influence on our daily lives. It can make us patient and sympathetic, and also unreliable. Some individuals with a strong Moon seek out prominent positions in public life. Astrology and Horoscopes Explained

Astrology and Horoscopes Explained: Understanding the Zodiac

Knowing about the planets is as important as knowing about your Zodiac sign and your rising sign. The Sun rules Leo and is associated with joyfulness, generosity, self expression and vitality. The Moon rules Cancer and is associated with emotions, instincts, intuition and responsiveness.

While the Zodiac may not be a great predictor of love, fortune, and health, it is a great tool for better understanding the motions of the Sun, the Earth, and even the cultures that have come and gone on our little planet. The Zodiac signs, derived from the constellations along the Sun’s path in the sky, track the orbit and wobble of Earth and remind us of astronomy’s humble roots.

Astrology and Horoscopes Explained: Astrological Names

In most countries of the World, the stars and planets are named after the gods and goddesses of the people, probably because of their place in the sky, or Heaven. The planet Neptune, for example, is named after the Ancient Roman god of the sea. Venus is named after the goddess of love.

Where Astrology significantly differs from psychology is that in psychology, there is a norm, and deviating from that norm is considered abnormal. In Astrology, we recognize that what is normal for one person is not normal for another. The better we understand ourselves, the better able we are to make changes that bring out the best of our capabilities.

Follow us as we learn how the heavenly bodies can influence every facet of our lives.  With daily and monthly horoscopes, we will study how Astrology can maximize our strengths and correct our weaknesses. We will understand how we can use Astrology and Horoscopes to be the best we can be as we follow our unique path.

Total Solar Eclipse – July 2, 2019

Posted on April 18, 2019 by Lunar Princess

Total Solar Eclipse – July 2, 2019: A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth. This causes two shadows to fall on the earth. A total solar eclipse is an eclipse where the sun is completely blocked by the Moon. That happens only about once every 18 months.

Total Solar Eclipse – July 2, 2019

Total Solar Eclipse – July 2, 2019: Partial and Solar Eclipse

This is in contrast to a partial solar eclipse, where only a portion of the Sun is blocked, and an annular solar eclipse, where the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth but doesn’t completely block the light.

Total Solar Eclipse – July 2, 2019

Total Solar Eclipse – July 2, 2019: What is It?

A solar eclipse occurs when the Earth, the moon, and the sun are lined up so that the moon passes directly between the sun and the Earth, blocking all sunlight. The reason this doesn’t happen every month (the moon is, after all, orbiting continuously around the sun) is that the moon’s orbit is generally at a slight angle relative to the Earth’s orbit around the Sun.

Total Solar Eclipse – July 2, 2019

Total Solar Eclipse – July 2, 2019: The Great South American Eclipse

This Total Solar Eclipse is being hailed as The Great South American Eclipse. It will be best viewed from Chile and Argentina. All the available evidence – satellite and ground-level measurements – points to a location up against the eastern slopes of the Andes as having the best chances of seeing the eclipse. There will also be partial views from parts of the South Pacific, like Easter Island and the Pitcairn islands.

Total Solar Eclipse – July 2, 2019

Total Solar Eclipse – July 2, 2019: Eclipses of Other Planets

Contrary to a popular myth, the Earth is not the only planet that has total solar eclipses. However, the Earth is the only planet in our solar system from which such an event could be seen from a planet’s surface. Neither Mercury nor Venus has Moons, so they have no eclipses at all.

Mars has two Moons but they are too small to block out the sun. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune all have Moons that are large enough, but these planets are made of gas so you couldn’t stand on their surface to see the total eclipse. That leaves the Earth as the best planet in our solar system to see a total eclipse.

Total Solar Eclipse – July 2, 2019: Spirituality and Solar Eclipses

It’s time to step up on multiple levels, and just keep in mind that Eclipses are also known to trigger necessary life changes. Stay present, centered and adaptable to be ready for the unexpected.

2020 Year of the Rat:  Who They Are

2020 Year of the RatRat is Yin Water, the last element of the Yin-Yang Five Elements. It is connected to knowledge, memory, and learning.  Water Rats show great wisdom in balancing power and strategy. They are rather conservative in their actions as they prefer to swim with the tide rather than against it. This tends to bring good luck into their lives.

The Rat has a strong memory, excels in learning and is always aware of their previous life experiences.  The Rat is brilliant, brainy, and has a sense of creativity.  The Rat also has a dark-side to their personality.  When things go wrong, the Rat will blame others.  Therefore, Rat people should plan on many outdoor activities under the sunshine to bring positivity back into their lives.

Rats enjoy a flexible social circle. They are interested in attending different kinds of social occasions. They like to make new friends, but they seldom further their relationships with others. Rats have a charming appearance, which can attract more friends. In love relationships, Rats find it easy to start a new relationship with someone, but they also break off relationships easily, which results in trouble with infidelity.

2020 Year of the Rat: Balancing Stone and Essential Oil

2020 Year of the Rat

The meaning of the Moonstone is in its energy—a nourishing, sensual, deeply feminine energy that knows how to heal and bring you back to wholeness. Moonstones help restore emotional balance. This is a good stone for cleansing negative energy from your energy centers or Chakras. This is also a stone of reflection, helping you to look within, using the powerful tool of self observation for self improvement and spiritual growth.

The Rosewood Essential Oil is extracted from the woody matter of the rosewood tree with the help of steam distillation. This essential oil can take away your depression and leave you smiling within minutes. The mild, sweet, spicy, and floral aroma of this oil does the trick and is thus favored by aromatherapy specialists. It drives away sadness and disappointment and prepares you to take on life with a new and positive perspective.

2020 Year of the Rat: Lucky Colors

China is a country rich with heritage, and uses colors symbolically within every ceremony, festival, and ritual. According to the Chinese Astrology, the Lucky Colors of the year 2020 (Year of the Rat) are Blue, Gold and Green.

Blue represents the element of wood in Chinese culture, also symbolizing immortality and advancement. Blue also represents the season of Spring.

Gold symbolizes wealth and riches in Chinese culture, which is the same in Western culture. In fact, no matter where you are in the world, gold represents wealth.  It is gold, after all!

Green is similar in both Western symbolism and traditional Chinese culture. In the West, green stands for harmony, wealth, growth, and eco-friendliness. In Chinese culture, green stands for cleanliness and purity from contamination. Green is used to describe organic things, like calling organic milk “green milk” or calling pesticide-free vegetables “green vegetables.”

2020 Year of the Rat: Money and Finances

It’s not all smooth-sailing for Rats in 2020. However, any setbacks you experience will be buffered by new opportunities – if you remain open to them. That being said, you’d do well to avoid any speculative investment, for this is not the year for taking risks. You can expect to be prosperous and happy in the coming months, if you can avoid the bad luck trying to influence you. Use the Moon cycles to manifest. Each month you have a New Moon, which is the time to start visualizing what you want and go after it. Even as your earnings increase, try to live off a set income level and add to your investments. Don’t deny yourself, but avoid spending for an outward show or status symbol. Allowing your interest-earning accounts to grow will help you offset any downturns or emergency expenses.

2020 Year of the Rat

2020 Year of the Rat:  Your Health

In the dry seasons, they should pay attention to prevent respiratory and skin problems. With enough rest they can keep their high spirits at work, which can improve work efficiency. A balanced diet and regular exercise benefit rats. When in stressful and tense conditions, Rats are suggested to take a break to free stress and tension.

2020 Year of the Rat:  Feng Shui

Feng Shui tips for 2020: The images and the objects surrounding you affect your life more than you could ever imagine. Remove the paintings, sculptures or photos representing negative situations, loneliness, sadness, etc., from your home. They can bring upon you negative energies and create a tense atmosphere in your love life. Walk slowly from your house main door to the bedroom, imagining you are a river of Chi energy. Track the route with your eyes and observe any object or piece of furniture that might hinder the free flow of Chi energy and remove them. Also, make sure that all the lighting elements on this route are functioning and that there are no dark corners left. The Moon’s distance from the Earth varies because its orbit is not perfectly circular – it is instead slightly oval-shaped. This brings us energy to stop letting our emotions have their own life. Let them pass, and don’t act on them. It gives us energy to break any bad habits, to break the cycle, and move forward with a positive attitude.

July 2019 Astrological Events – July 21, Mercury and the Sun

Mercury will pass very close to the Sun as its orbit carries it between the Sun and Earth. Spiritually, Mercury carries the messages between the soul and the brain and establishes accurate relations between the lower self and the higher self. It is, therefore, the Illumined Mind, relating soul and personality.

July 2019 Astrological Events

July 2019 Astrological Events – July 24, Moon in Last Quarter

The Moon is approaching Last Quarter. The Moon will rise later each day, so that it is visible for less time before sunrise. Over the next few days, the distance between the Moon and the Sun will decrease and it will rise later each day. It is a cleansing and meditative time as we prepare for the New Moon phase next week when the cycle begins all over again.

July 2019 Astrological Events – July 25, Moon Balance

The Moon is at Last Quarter with a visibility of 46%. This is the time to seek balance and not to try anything new. Time to release and let go of any negativity and things you no longer need or are things that are no longer working.

July 2019 Astrological Events – July 29, The δ–Aquarid Meteor Shower

The δ–Aquarid meteor shower will reach its maximum rate of activity, tonight. Annual meteor showers arise when the Earth passes through streams of debris left behind by comets and asteroids. As pebble-sized pieces of debris collide with the Earth, they burn up at an altitude of around 70 to 100 km, appearing as shooting stars. Seeing a shooting star means that there is going to be a big change in your life. A life changing event is on the way, and you should get prepared.

July 2019 Astrological Events

July 2019 Astrological Events – July 30, Conjunction of Moon and Mercury

There will be a Conjunction of the Moon and Mercury, today. Both will be located in the constellation Gemini. This Moon in Mercury – Gemini brings hunger for the stimulation of new people, situations, news, colorful sights and culture. It’s a time to tap into the minds of others, and exchange what each knows, through conversation.

July 2019 Astrological Events – July 31, New Moon

The New Moon will pass close to the Sun, and become lost in the Sun’s glare for a few days. This is a time we usually experience sudden insights and develop new ideas. It is a great time to be creative and participate in writing, painting or anything else that allows the mind to be inspired.

June 2019 Astrological Events

Posted on March 26, 2019July 1, 2019 by Lunar Princess

June brings many Astrological Events.  There are specific things to look for that could help us learn about ourselves and others.  There are many ways these energies might appear in a person’s life to help them on a path to success.  The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars are the personal planets which affect our personalities and immediate relationships. The more distant planets affect how we interact with the world in a more general way.

The Full Moon in June is a powerful time in the lunar cycle when the Moon pours down a tremendous amount of energy. Full Moons stir up our emotions and amplify mystical powers connected to the human spirit. Read about how this month’s Full Moon can yield incredible healing results, both physically and mentally. Full Moons bathe your skin in a soft light, while also illuminating the often overlooked crevices of your subconscious—giving you insights into your spirit and soul.

June 2019 Astrological Events include: June’s New Moon in Gemini, Ophiuchid Meteor Shower, Full Moon, Strawberry Moon in Gemini, and the Summer Solstice Begins.

June 2019 Astrological Events: June 3 – New Moon in Gemini

We see almost exactly the opposite half of the Moon, that which is illuminated by the Sun, making it doubly not observable because the side we see is not illuminated. This New Moon brings the need for change. Sometimes the past can hold us back, but moving on is a slow and steady process that should be nurtured rather than rushed. Every day is an opportunity to do something that will have a lasting impact on your life.

June 2019 Astrological Events

June 2019 Astrological Events: June 4 – Mercury Enters Cancer with a Conjunction of the Moon and Mercury

The pair will be difficult to observe as they will appear no higher than 8° above the horizon. It is a time of emotional sensitivity. Try not to become anxious about too many things. Mood swings may be common, especially if you come under pressure. Try engaging in physical exercise, eat a healthy diet that contains adequate protein and healthy fats, and take the right supplements to get your positive attitude back.

June 7 – The Moon at Perigee

This is the part of the Moon’s cycle when it is the closest approach of its orbit to the Earth and appears slightly larger than at any other time. The energy of this Moon when it is closest to the earth’s surface is very strong, and you can harness it as it can bring about positive changes in your life.

June 2019 Astrological Events

June 2019 Astrological Events: June 10 – Ophiuchid Meteor Shower, and the Moon is at First Quarter

The Ophiuchid Meteor Shower will reach its maximum rate of activity tonight. It began on May 19th and continues into July. Annual meteor showers arise when the Earth passes through streams of debris left behind by comets and asteroids.

June 2019 Astrological Events:  June 16 – Conjunction of the Moon and Jupiter

When the empathy of Moon meets the wisdom of Jupiter, it brings vibrations of generosity, compassion and understanding. It also brings intelligence, knowledge, and kindness to those who are open to change.

June 17 – Full Moon in Sagittarius. This Moon is also called the Strawberry Moon

June 2019 Astrological Events:  June 18 – The Moon and Saturn

The Moon and Saturn will share the same right ascension and will be visible in this morning’s sky. Saturn, the planet of Karma and responsibility, will fully manifest for the first time in 29 years, being home in Capricorn, the sign which it governs! Karma is the age-old theory of getting what we deserve based on our thoughts and actions. Practice kindness and compassion. Never underestimate the power of good Karma!

Astrological Calendars for 2019

June 19 – Close Approach of the Moon and Pluto

Pluto has its own very large Moon, nearly half the dwarf planet’s own size. This moon was dubbed Charon, after the mythological demon who ferried souls to the underworld in Greek mythology. Pluto rules large-scale changes and it likes to reward those who transform in order to meet their own needs. So, if you realize that you really should be speaking up where you’ve previously been silent or that you aren’t acting for the right reasons, make the choice to change your approach.

June 2019 Astrological Events:

June 20 – Ophiuchid Meteor Shower

The Ophiuchid meteor shower will reach its maximum rate of activity tonight. Some shooting stars associated with the shower are expected to be visible to the naked eye. The Ophiuchids can be seen all night long, but are best observed around midnight. Ophiuchus the Serpent Bearer is depicted as holding Serpens the Serpent, which is considered a separate constellation. According to ancient Greek star lore, Ophiuchus is Asclepius, the physician who concocted a healing potion from the Serpent’s venom, mixing it with the Gorgon’s blood and an unknown herb. This potion gave humans access to immortality, until the god of the underworld appealed to Zeus to reconsider the ramifications of the death of death.

June 21 – Summer Solstice and Cancer, the Season of the Crab, begins

On this day, the Sun is above the horizon, longer than on any other day of the year in the northern hemisphere. Astronomers claim this to be the first day of summer. Early dawns. Long days. Late sunsets. Short nights. The Sun at its height each day, as it crosses the sky. Meanwhile, south of the equator, winter begins. When we approach an equinox or solstice we should expect change and transformation rather than resist it. Often we end up in conflict. The Summer Solstice is our place of retreat and renewal, where we can find understanding and compassion for ourselves and others. It’s a wellspring of helpful insight that broadens our understanding of life.

June 25 – The Moon is at Last Quarter

It will rise at around dawn and set at around dusk, making it visible only during the daytime. This Moon is gradually decreasing in size and visibility, while it makes its way back to another New Moon. It’s a time for forgiveness, and then moving on to new chapters in your life. Be aware to all the unnecessary emotions you have been carrying and rid yourself of them. Move on and be happy.

May 18, 2019 Full Moon – Blue Moon – Corn Planting Moon

Posted on April 17, 2019June 2, 2019 by Lunar Princess

May 18, 2019 Full Moon:   May’s Full Moon in Scorpio is a Blue Moon. Since this is the third of four Full Moons in this season, it is known as a Blue Moon.  There is a possibility of a “Twice in a Blue Moon” too, in which case, you’ll end up seeing two Blue Moons in one year. This happens once every 19 years. This Moon has also been known as the Full Corn Planting Moon and the Milk Moon.

May 18, 2019 – Full Moon: A Blue Moon

The Blue Moon’s name actually has nothing to do with color. Occasionally, the Full Moon can take on a reddish pallor, but this Full Moon is not related to the actual color of Earth’s cosmic neighbor. The Moon can appear blue in color if a forest fire or volcanic eruption litters the upper atmosphere with ash or smoke, and this is not an uncommon occurrence.  A volcanic eruption gives this Moon a bluish tint.  May’s Full Moon is the third of four Full Moons to occur in one season. A season is the period of time between an Equinox and a Solstice – or vice versa. A Blue Moon happens on average about once every 2.7 years.

The Full Moon governs the realm of intuitive thinking as well as emotions and is called the Queen of the Night.  For all the midnight walkers and couples who want to go on a moonlit date night, this has been recorded to be the perfect time.   This Moon has all nocturnal creatures under its spell.  She has different names in different months of the year. Other names for the May Full Moon are the Flower Moon, Milk Moon – Corn Planting Moon.

May 18, 2019 – Full Moon: Native American Traditions

Native American tribes used Moon phases and cycles to keep track of the seasons by giving a distinctive name to each recurring Full Moon. May’s Full Moon was called the Full Flower Moon as well as Mother’s Moon – Milk Moon, and Corn Planting Moon. The May Full Moon marked a time of increasing fertility, with temperatures warm enough for safely bearing young, a near end to late frosts, and plants in bloom.

The Full Moon of May is known as Flower Moon to signify the flowers that bloom during this month. There is a myriad of wildflowers which bloom in May in the Northern Hemisphere.

May 18, 2019 – Full Moon: The Corn Planting Moon

The Flower Moon of May is also referred to as the Corn Planting Moon because corn is ready to plant at this time of the year. It is believed that the Moon influences some natural phenomena, e.g., tides. A simple hypothesis would be that lunar cycles could influence meteorological cycles which in turn could influence crops. This would make May the ideal month for planting.

May 18, 2019 – Full Moon: The Milk Moon

The Mother’s Moon, also known as the Milk Moon of May, got it’s name because cows, goats, and sheep enjoy sprouting weeds, grasses, and herbs in the pastures and produce lots of rich milk, full of vitamins and minerals, for health and wellness.

The reason the Full Moon occurring in the month of May is called a “Milk Moon” is that during this time of year, weeds, herbs, and grasses begin growing everywhere. Therefore, sheep, goats, and cows are filling their bellies with plenty of food after a long and hard winter where there was not much for them to eat. As a result, these animals are producing tons of milk.

May 18, 2019 – The Spiritual Moon

“When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the Moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi

The Moon does provide the Earth with adequate night illumination. In contrast with the Sun, it is a gentle, passive ruler of the night sky. Of course the Moon’s large size is essential for it to provide significant reflected light on the Earth. If its mass were reduced by 99% to make an “average size” solar system Moon, then the evening light received on Earth would be severely decreased by twenty times its present amount. The Book of Genesis states: “And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night … ”

The Hebrew term translated light (or) in this passage is flexible enough to include light reflectors such as the moon and the planets. The fact that the moon, which is a reflector, and the sun, which is far from being the largest star, are named “two great lights” is perfectly consistent with the language of appearance which is used throughout the Bible.

May 18, 2019 Full Moon

May 18, 2019 – The Full Moon and Change

The Full Moon can assist you in releasing stagnant energy, thoughts that no longer serve you, and break habits that are holding you back. Thus, connecting with the Full Moon can empower you to make changes in your life that you have been meaning to for a long time and breathe in new energy into your life!

The Moon has a special relationship with water. The energy of the Earth and the Moon pull at each other, but the earth just can’t hold onto its water. During a Full Moon, the Earth’s tides are amplified. So, to amplify results for your desires, write a few on pieces of paper and float them in water in a glass bowl under the light of a Full Moon.

Spring Equinox

Posted on March 20, 2019October 2, 2019 by Lunar Princess

The Spring Equinox is symbolic of rebirth, renewal, and growth. At this time, the Sun crosses the celestial equator from south to north. It’s called the “celestial equator” because it’s an imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s Equator. In 2019, the Spring Equinox (also called the March equinox or vernal equinox) falls on Wednesday, March 20. This event marks the Astronomical first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere.

There are two equinoxes every year – in March and September – when the Sun shines directly on the equator and the length of night and day are nearly equal. The March equinox marks the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator – the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator – from south to north.

The date of the equinox changes from year to year to account for the fact that the Earth doesn’t take exactly 365 days to make a complete revolution around the sun. The Gregorian calendar adds a leap day every four years to account for this, and the spring equinox date varies for the same reason.

Conventional wisdom suggests that on the equinox everybody on Earth gets to experience a day and night of equal lengths – 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night time. In fact, the name equinox is derived from the Latin words aequus, meaning equal, and nox, meaning night.

Spring Begins

To people who live in Earth’s northern hemisphere, this astronomical event signals the arrival of spring, winter’s end, and the increasingly warm and brighter days that come with the pending arrival of summer.

The biggest difference between the equinox and the solstice is that a solstice is the point during the Earth’s orbit around the sun at which the sun is at its greatest distance from the equator, while during an equinox, it’s at the closest distance from the equator. Because of this, one solstice is an extremely long day, and the other is an extremely short day. Comparatively, during an equinox, the days and nights are equal lengths.

For those in the southern hemisphere, though, it’s now the fall: The days are growing shorter, the weather is cooling off, and sunlight is growing dimmer as winter approaches.

Celebrating the Spring Equinox

Take some time to celebrate the new life that surrounds you in nature. Watch the sunrise and/or sunset, go for a walk in the park, take a bike ride, lay in the grass, or take a hike. As you do so, observe all the new life beginning around you.

This is a good time of year to start planting your flowers and gardens if you haven’t already. If you live in an area where it is still not possible to plant anything, you can start some plants indoors or get your yard and garden ready for late spring plantings.

Spirituality and the Equinox

Spring is the perfect time to honor the growth and the pain, the light and the darkness and all the experiences that have made you who you are today. It is the perfect time to love yourself and learn to find gratitude and peace with the journey you are on.

It is the perfect time to bring acceptance to your life no matter the circumstances or the judgments over what is good and what is bad, and to instead honor the journey.

Don’t let this world make you feel not good enough. Don’t let others make you feel bad about yourself. Don’t let society tell you how things should be. Make your own way.  You are stronger and smarter than you think you are.  Follow your own heart. And know that when you love yourself, anything is possible.

The Equinox is a time to heal the divide. It is a time to cross that bridge between the ego you and the higher self you, and feel the connection, the strength, and the love that comes from knowing that we are One.  This is also a time to heal uncomfortable feelings with people in your life.  Take a chance and make the first move to mend the hurt.  Embrace the wonders of Spring.

This period is marked by the cosmic dance of celestial bodies, creating a tapestry of events that influence our lives in mystical ways. The month begins with a sense of anticipation, as the astrological landscape suggests a time ripe for introspection, change, and the manifestation of long-held dreams. The highlight of October 2024’s cosmic calendar is undoubtedly the Full Moon, which falls in the dynamic sign of Aries. This Full Moon is not just an ordinary lunar event; it’s a beacon of initiation and action. Known for its fiery energy, the Aries Full Moon symbolizes a peak of emotional intensity where ideas and passions come to fruition. It’s a time when the energy of new beginnings, courage, and assertiveness is at its zenith, urging us to take bold steps toward our goals. This lunation encourages breaking free from constraints, embracing individuality, and pioneering new paths, making it an ideal moment for setting intentions that require courage and initiative. Astrologically, October 2024 is also characterized by Venus moving through Scorpio, adding depth and intensity to relationships and financial matters. This transit invites us to delve into the deeper, more transformative aspects of love, urging us to confront and heal from past emotional wounds. Meanwhile, Jupiter’s retrograde in Gemini might slow down some of our plans but offers a perfect opportunity for reflection, learning, and revising our broader life philosophy. Moreover, the month features a significant solar eclipse in Libra, which, coupled with Jupiter’s retrograde, could reveal hidden truths or disrupt established patterns, especially in relationships and justice-related matters. This eclipse serves as a cosmic prompt to balance scales, seek harmony, and perhaps even face our shadows to achieve true equilibrium. Economic Impact: By filling gaps where funding might be insufficient, volunteers can help initiate or sustain projects that stimulate local economies, such as community gardens or small business support programs. Empowerment: Volunteering empowers both the volunteers and the community. Volunteers gain experience, develop new skills, and often feel more connected to their community. For the community, seeing volunteers invest their time can boost morale and encourage local participation in other community activities. Resource Allocation: Often, communities can redirect financial resources to other critical areas because volunteers are covering certain needs for free. This efficient use of resources can lead to more sustainable development. Community Cleanup Initiative: Imagine a neighborhood with litter problems and overgrown lots, detracting from the community’s quality of life and potential health. A group of volunteers organizes a monthly cleanup day. They distribute flyers and coordinate via social media, and on the day, community members (including local businesses, schools, and residents) come together with bags, gloves, and tools. Impact: The physical environment improves, which can reduce pest populations, decrease potential health hazards, and beautify the area. Residents meet each other, perhaps for the first time, fostering relationships. This might lead to further collaborative efforts, like neighborhood watch programs or community events. Economic: If the area becomes more appealing, it might attract more business or investment, leading to economic growth. Participants feel a sense of pride and ownership over their community, which can lead to increased civic engagement and further volunteerism. Sustainability: Seeing the positive outcomes, the volunteers might expand their efforts to include educational workshops on waste management, leading to long-term behavioral changes and sustainable practices within the community. This example illustrates how volunteering not only addresses immediate needs but also plants seeds for continuous improvement and community empowerment. Over time, such efforts can significantly transform a community, making it more resilient, connected, and vibrant. The Volunteer Spirit: Personal Growth. Engaging in volunteer work offers volunteers personal development opportunities, enhancing skills like leadership, empathy, and problem-solving. This personal growth is not just beneficial for the individual but also for the communities they serve, as they return with new insights and capabilities. The Volunteer Spirit: Social Connections and Health Benefits. Volunteering fosters connections not only between volunteers and the communities they serve but also among volunteers themselves. These networks often lead to further initiatives, creating a cycle of giving that perpetuates positive change. Studies, including umbrella reviews, suggest that volunteering can also lead to improved mental and physical health. The act of helping others releases endorphins, leading to a state of well-being. This health benefit loopbacks into society, as healthier volunteers can continue their contributions over longer periods. The Volunteer Spirit: Challenges and Considerations. Despite its numerous benefits, volunteering isn’t without its challenges. The modern world, with its fast pace and mobility, has sometimes diluted the traditional volunteer spirit. As noted in analyses of volunteer trends, there’s a decline in formal volunteering in some regions, attributed to factors like urbanization, changing family structures, and economic pressures. However, this also presents an opportunity for innovation in how volunteering is approached, making it more accessible, flexible, and aligned with contemporary lifestyle changes. The Volunteer Spirit: The Future of Volunteering Looking ahead, the future of volunteering might see “Digital Volunteering.” With technology, volunteering can now transcend physical presence. Online tutoring, digital content creation for educational purposes, or even remote support for NGOs are becoming viable forms of volunteerism. Corporate Volunteering Programs. More companies are recognizing the value of volunteering as a corporate social responsibility, and integrating it into their culture. This not only benefits the community but also enhances employee engagement and satisfaction. The […]

    Summer Solstice June 2024

Summer Solstice June 2024 Astrological Meanings! The Summer Solstice: A Celebration of Light and WarmthSummer Solstice June 2024: A Celebration of Light and Warmth: How Cultures Around the World Celebrate the Summer Solstice20 Ways to Celebrate the Summer Solstice June 2024The Summer Solstice 2024 Events Around the WorldMore about Astrology and Horoscopes! Summer Solstice June 2024: Oh, the Summer Solstice! It’s like the VIP of the astronomical party—the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. Imagine Mother Nature throwing a barbecue and the sun is the grill master, staying up late to make sure we all get our fill of vitamin D. On June 20, 2024, at 4:51 p.m. EDT, the sun will be at its zenith, basking us in glorious daylight for the longest stretch of the year. So, grab your sunscreen and shades, because this is the peak of solar stardom! Now, does the Summer Solstice affect us? Well, it depends on how you define “affect.” If you mean, “Will it make you want to wear sunglasses indoors and start humming ‘Here Comes the Sun’ by The Beatles?” then yes, absolutely. But in more practical terms, the solstice can influence our mood, sleep patterns, and even our health. The increased daylight can boost serotonin levels, making us feel happier and more energized. But, it can also mess with our sleep schedules, especially if you’re a night owl who prefers the dark side of the moon. So, while the Summer Solstice might not turn you into a sun-worshipping maniac (unless you’re already one, in which case, carry on!), it can have subtle effects on your body and mind. Just remember to enjoy the sunshine responsibly and don’t forget your SPF 50! Summer Solstice June 2024 Astrological Meanings! Summer Solstice June 2024: The Sun’s Grand Entrance: On June 20, 2024, the Sun will be at its peak in the Northern Hemisphere, shining its glorious rays upon us. This means it’s time to soak up all that Vitamin D and let your inner glow shine as brightly as the Sun itself! Summer Solstice June 2024: Cancer Season Begins: As the Sun enters the sign of Cancer, we’ll all be feeling a little more nurturing, emotional, and maybe even a bit crabby (in a good way!). It’s the perfect time to indulge in some self-care, surround yourself with loved ones, and enjoy some delicious seafood (because, you know, crabs!). Summer Solstice June 2024: Longest Day of the Year: The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year, which means more daylight for outdoor adventures, picnics, and maybe even a spontaneous dance party under the stars! Who needs sleep when you have the Sun as your personal DJ? Summer Solstice June 2024: New Beginnings: Just like the Sun, we’ll all be feeling a sense of renewal and rebirth. It’s a great time to set new intentions, start fresh projects, and let go of anything that’s been holding you back. Remember, every day is a new beginning, and the Summer Solstice is the perfect time to embrace it! Summer Solstice June 2024: Fun in the Sun: With the Sun shining its brightest, it’s time to have some fun in the sun! Whether it’s a beach day, a hike, or just lounging in your backyard with a good book, make sure to enjoy the warmth and energy of the season. So, there you have it! The astrological meanings of the Summer Solstice in June 2024 are all about embracing the light, nurturing yourself and others, and having a blast while doing it. Now, go forth and enjoy the cosmic vibes! The Summer Solstice: A Celebration of Light and Warmth As the summer solstice approaches on June 20th, 2024, at 4:51 PM EDT, we find ourselves at the peak of the sun’s journey across the sky. This celestial event marks the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, where the sun reaches its highest point in the sky, bathing us in its warm embrace. 1. Summer Solstice June 2024: The Science Behind the Solstice The summer solstice occurs when the Earth’s axis tilts towards the sun, allowing the Northern Hemisphere to receive the most direct sunlight. This tilt is responsible for the changing seasons and the varying lengths of daylight we experience throughout the year. 2. Summer Solstice June 2024: A Day of Celebration Throughout history, the summer solstice has been celebrated by various cultures around the world. In ancient Egypt, the solstice marked the beginning of the Nile’s annual flooding, which was essential for agriculture. In Sweden, people celebrate with bonfires, dancing, and traditional foods. In the United States, many communities gather for music festivals, parades, and outdoor activities to welcome the arrival of summer. 3. Summer Solstice June 2024: Stonehenge and the Solstice Stonehenge, the iconic prehistoric monument in England, is aligned with the sunrise on the summer solstice. Thousands of people gather at Stonehenge each year to witness this spectacular event, as the sun rises over the Heel Stone and casts a shadow that aligns with the center of the monument. 4. Summer Solstice June 2024: The Midnight Sun In regions north of the Arctic Circle, the summer solstice brings the phenomenon known as the “midnight sun.” During this time, the sun remains above the horizon for 24 hours, providing continuous daylight. This unique experience is a popular attraction for travelers seeking to witness the beauty of the Arctic. 5. Summer Solstice June 2024: The Longest Day, But Not the Hottest Contrary to popular belief, the summer solstice does not necessarily mark the hottest day of the year. The Earth’s oceans and land masses take time to absorb and release heat, which means that the hottest temperatures often occur later in the summer, around July or August. 6. Summer Solstice June 2024: The Tropic of Cancer The summer solstice occurs when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky at the Tropic of Cancer, which is located at 23.5 degrees north latitude. This imaginary line encircles the […]

The Thought Guardian’s primary responsibility was to protect the mind from negative thoughts that could cause harm and hinder the person’s growth. One day, a small, dark thought appeared in the corner of the mind. It whispered, “You’re not good enough.” The Thought Guardian, who had been watching from a distance, recognized it as a negative thought and knew that it had to be stopped before it grew stronger. The Thought Guardian approached the negative thought and said, “You don’t belong here. • Secret Serendipity, Synchronicity, and Coincidences!
    Synchronicity

In the tapestry of existence, where the threads of reality intertwine, a fascinating phenomenon known as meaningful coincidences, or synchronicity, weaves its way through the fabric of our lives. These seemingly random occurrences, when observed closely, reveal an intricate web of connections between all things. Synchronicity, a term coined by the renowned Swiss psychologist Carl Jung, refers to the simultaneous occurrence of events that appear meaningfully related but have no discernible causal connection. It is as if the universe is whispering to us, offering subtle clues that hint at a deeper, more profound understanding of the world and our place within it. Secret Serendipity and Synchronicity The phenomenon you’re referring to is known as synchronicity, a term coined by the Swiss psychologist Carl Jung. Synchronicity is the experience of two or more events that are causally unrelated, yet are meaningfully related and occur in a seemingly meaningful manner. This concept suggests that there is an underlying pattern or connection between events that goes beyond our conventional understanding of cause and effect. One example of synchronicity can be seen in the story of two friends, Alice and Bob, who live in different cities. Alice is an aspiring artist and has been working on a painting of a beautiful sunset for several weeks. One day, she finally completes the painting and decides to share it with her friend Bob. She sends him a picture of the painting via text message. At the same time, Bob is on a hike, admiring a breathtaking sunset. As he takes in the beauty of the moment, he receives Alice’s text message with her painting. The painting perfectly captures the colors and emotions of the sunset he is witnessing. Bob is astonished by the coincidence and feels a deep sense of connection with Alice, despite the physical distance between them. In this example, the simultaneous occurrence of Alice finishing her painting of a sunset and Bob witnessing a real sunset is a synchronistic event. There is no causal relationship between the two events, yet they seem meaningfully related and connected. This experience can be interpreted as a sign of the interconnectedness of life and the universe, suggesting that there is an underlying pattern or order that we may not fully understand. Secret Serendipity and Interconnectedness Synchronicity can also manifest in more mundane ways, such as thinking of a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while and then receiving a call from them moments later. These experiences can be seen as reminders of the interconnectedness of all things and the mysterious nature of the universe. All About the Angel for Animals! Synchronicity can also be seen as a bridge between the rational and the irrational, the conscious and the unconscious. It can serve as a reminder that there is more to life than what can be explained by logic and reason alone. By paying attention to these synchronistic events, we can learn to trust our intuition and be more open to the mysteries of the universe. Secret Serendipity and Coincidences Not all coincidences can be considered synchronistic events. A coincidence is simply an accidental, unexpected occurrence of two or more events at the same time, while a synchronistic event is a meaningful coincidence that holds a deeper significance or connection for the person experiencing it. For example, let’s say you randomly meet an old friend from high school at a grocery store. This is a coincidence. However, if you had been thinking about this friend a lot recently and wondering how they were doing, and then you run into them, this could be considered a synchronistic event. In this case, the coincidence has a deeper meaning or connection for you. It is important to note that not all coincidences are necessarily synchronistic events. To be considered a synchronicity, the events must have a personal and meaningful significance to the individual experiencing them. The interpretation of these events is subjective and depends on the individual’s beliefs and experiences. Free Monthly Horoscopes! Imagine you’re walking down the street and you see a billboard with a message that feels like it speaks directly to you and your current situation. You think it’s just a coincidence, but then you start seeing the same message everywhere – on social media, in a book you’re reading, and even in a conversation with a stranger. These repeated occurrences of the same message could be considered a synchronistic event, as it holds a deeper meaning for you and may be a sign or guidance related to your current situation. While coincidences are simply accidental occurrences, synchronistic events are meaningful coincidences that hold a deeper significance or connection for the person experiencing them. They often feel like the universe is trying to communicate something to them or guide them in some way.
